How To Cut A Female Short Haircut W/ Taper- Barber/Stylist

A step by step video that walks you thru a Soft Taper Hair Cut. Straight off cutting room floor. Enjoy!!

Today I wan na me demonstrate contour my maximum Scout coverage right now. I'M checking for deviations of hair growth pigmentation in cow legs. You want to be sure to examine the hair and look for any scars or bat growth patterns. I'M securing the guard. You want to be sure that your guard is always secure. It can give it a type of motion if you were like I'm going to be starting in the back of the nape area. The back of the head below the occipital bone, I'm using long strokes and this technique is known as roughing in roughing in is the removal of bulk. Before you start your initial haircut, I'm going to be using long strokes again, I'm starting in the back of the head using long, even strokes in an arc moving calming the hair to ensure that it lies in the proper manner. Now, I'm working in the back of the head at a 90 degree angle palm the palm method, one in sections never going below the round of the head, I'm using vertical sections, one inch. Apart with the palm of the point method, I'm going to continue around the right side of the head and repeat on the left. Now I'm going to be cutting the top of the hair demonstrating the Alpha clipper. This technique is going to give me a disconnected feel with the ends loose and broken up. You want to be sure that you remove all hair from behind the ear to detail. Now I will be roughing in the outline of the hair and around the ear cutting the hair with maximum scalp coverage. This is a Kanto haircut with maximum scalp coverage with a soft taper, I'm using horizontal sections below the occipital bone, and I will continue on to the top of the hair over directing at the cowlick area to ensure that the hair does not stick up. This is a very critical area of the haircut. Cutting the hair, too short, will make the hair stick up in an unpleasant manner again. Cutting the hair, too short, is the number one reason why clients are dissatisfied with the haircut so be sure not to cut the hair too short in the cowlick area. Removing the hair from the clients face now, I'm using the feather razor. This will allow the hair to collapse in lie flat to the head collapse. Is a term used for the method of cutting which allows the hair to lie flat to the head, cutting it just short enough to lie close to the head, I'm using the detailer trimmer. I'M not applying pressure to the neck area, because this is a sensitive area to the client. Again, I'm playing close detail to the hair around the ear. If you maintain your clippers, keeping them clean it oil, they will cut the hair close. You do not need to apply pressure now, removing the excess hair, I'm going into my finish, work front area, the bank area of the haircut. What'S the feather razor, this method is going to allow the hair to lie flat and have lots of movement with no definite lines in the same area. I'M going to apply gel you don't want to over saturate the hair with gel or products, be sure to shampoo and condition the hair with them, with a moisturizing, shampoo and moisturizing conditioner when you apply gels to the hair. This concludes my contour haircut with maximum scalp coverage and a soft taper on the nape area.

Ramona Brunswick: @christinagoree I'm so glad. My 21 yr old graduated from cosmetology school 1 yr ago. I let her cut my hair short. She did not get much training with hair clips tho, Imma be sure and show her your video, I doubt if she know about the "alpha clipper" and the feather razor was a good tip as well. Thanks again.
