Many years ago I asked my hair stylist what did he when he got to many customers. Richard said he raised his rates. Across the hallway was a beautician who charged half the haircut price. I asked Richard if he would mind if I used her. Richard said she is a very good stylist and he was going to raise his rates anyway.

Cinzabeary: A dye job, cut and style will really jump up the price. I think the most I paid at the salon was $265. I wanted to try a new colour but they had to bleach my hair first. It wasn't the whole head of hair but pieces to protect my skin. It took almost 2 or 3 hours and then I wanted a cut and a nice braid. I just let it grow out. Normally I just go for a $40 trim and style. My daughter gets charged that too because of how full and curly her hair is. Hairdressers take on look and their faces fall.
