Welcome to The Life Of Hair, my name's James Atkinson, and thank you for joining me on this video. Today is one of my favorite haircuts. It'S the Vidal, Sassoon shag or otherwise known as a long graduation.. I'Ve done this haircut before on my channel in a totally different way, so I wanted to show you a different adaptation.. It incorporates a fantastic shaggy fringe with lots and lots of shape around the front.. So I won't talk about it anymore. You can watch the tutorial., But I absolutely love it. It is a commercial. I absolutely love it. It'S a commercial winner in my book.. I cut this haircut lots and lots and lots in the salon, and once you get it, it is one of those haircuts. You wonder how you lived without and if you enjoy this, then don't forget, don't forget, smash that subscribe button. Give the video a thumbs up. It really really helps the videos to get out there and leave a comment.. This particular video is a requested video from a few months back and I've got loads and loads of others, and I promise you if you are waiting for that request, I will make it. There is no doubt about it. Thanks for watching and I'll see you again. Next week, for another episode of The Life Of Hair., The pre-section for this technique is incredibly simple.. You simply section off from the highest point of the head down to the top of the ear on both sides and brush the hair forwards and backwards. ( upbeat music. ), We then take a triangle section from the front hairline to the edge of the recession. ( upbeat music ). This will form the basis of the length at the front. Cut this to the desired length that you want. The shortest part of this haircut to be. ( upbeat music, ), Pull the hair straight out from the head and cut a square line.. This section is very important that you elevate it straight out from the head. ( upbeat music, ) Check for length and then take a subsequent section in exactly the same 45 degree angle. Behind the first section, elevating the hair straight out from the head, cutting a square line., ( upbeat music ), Keep taking sections as you travel back towards the crown area, 45 degrees and pulling the hair straight out from the head. ( upbeat, music, ), Holding the hair Horizontally out from the head like this will create extra softness around the front. ( upbeat music ). As we get to the sides. We are elevating the hair up to the fringe line.. This will ensure that we retain as much of the length in the sides as possible. You'll see from this side angle, how much we are elevating the hair straight out from the head, shape. (, upbeat, music, ), We'll also be able to see how much we have Over-Directed and elevated the sides to run in-line with the fringe. ( upbeat music ). It is very, very important that when you pick the hair up from around the ear area, the hair that I have in my hand now that you elevate and twist it to horizontal. ( upbeat music ). As you can see, it's created a graduated shape running down towards the neckline. ( upbeat music. ) Do exactly the same thing on the opposite side, taking 45 degree, diagonal sections elevating the hair straight out from the head, cutting a square line., (, upbeat, music ). You can see the emphasis on twisting the hair around here. This is paramount to getting the technique. Right. ( upbeat music ), Always check that have got consistently the same length on both sides and if you are slightly off, then go back to your previous section and adjust as necessary. Cross-check your work by taking a one to one and a half centimeter center parting. Section down the middle and elevating the hair straight out from the head.. If you have a 45 degree angle that is shorter at the face and longer as you travel towards the crown, you are bang on the money. ( upbeat music ), Once you're satisfied with your cross-check, then simply part the hair down the center back to create two Sub-Sections. This we are going to connect into the front of our haircut. ( upbeat music ). Once we have split those sections into two, we simply take vertical sections straight down the head and over-direct them to the front. Hairline. (, upbeat music ). From this side view you can see, we are using exactly the same technique as we did on the front pulling our sections straight out from the head, elevating the hair horizontally and cutting a square line and around the ears. We are elevating the hair and twisting the hair so that we are creating more over-direction.. This will retain more length in the sides. ( upbeat, music, ), Repeat exactly the same thing on the opposite, side., Very, very simple, simple haircut to execute.. The elevation is very important and the twisting of the sides is also very important.. If you want to retain all the length as you travel towards the back, you must make sure that you twist and elevate your side sections to retain that length. ( upbeat music ), And that is the shag haircut complete.. I absolutely love this on wavy hair.. As you can see, I've styled it here with a side fringe. You could do a center fringe with a split in it., But it is a very, very contemporary, easy to wear haircut. It can be worn straight or curly.. It gives beautiful texture and volume, and it's perfect for those clients that haven't got really curly hair, nor have they got straight hair and they want something that they can just put some sea salt spray in or some curl hold cream and wash and wear.. I hope you've enjoyed this episode and if you have I'd love to chat to you in the comments down, below. Have a wonderful week and I will see you next time for another episode of The Life Of Hair. ( upbeat, music, ),

iris o'brien: thank you for singlehandedly saving the girls, gays, and theys, your work is very appreciated

Nadia Zawil: just did this haircut on myself with no haircutting experience, thought i was messing it up the whole time. ended up being my favorite haircut I have ever had!! it really pulls together in the end. thank you so much for the best instructional video. :)

Debbie Rice: I have spent so many hours on youtube watching useless videos of how to do this and other layered haircuts. YOU are the 1st person who is actually showing the details of what you're doing, and making it possible to replicate. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!! If there's any way you can indicate that your videos are different from all the others (EASY TO FOLLOW DIY), you'll be making a lot more people happy and saving them time. If I could give you 100 thumbs up, I would! Good luck to you!.

SUPR BASIQUE: Am I gonna do this at 3am in the morning due to my lack of rational decision making and extreme boredom from the fact that It's quarantine??? I sure am...

Renee Fraser: I did this at 3am as well, about a month ago. This is THE haircut for my face. I would have worn it like this all of my life if I had known about it, but I'm still happy to have found my cut at 60 years old. Thank you for the excellent tutorial.

Athena: Hello lgbt community

William Harris: I’ve been cutting hair for more than 50 years. I love that you’re doing cuts that I did back in the day!

angelica cruz: omg i just did this to myself and it turned out so cute. i had a straight cut shoulder length before and my hair gets wavy when its short so this turned out really cute on my hair. i cut the bangs shorter in the front and it made it look more mullety. at first i was so scared it was bad because i had thick hair but when my hair dried(i cut it wet) it turned out nice! thanks for this tutorial omg one of the cutest/most unique haircuts i ever had.

Adrienne Phillips: I bit the bullet and attempted this due to the 'quarantine stir-crazy Britney head-shave' drive that people seem to be experiencing currently. Oh my gosh, did it come out so nice! I genuinely love it so much, and what a great teacher you are. Be back to watch more videos later, too busy swishing my new hair around in the mirror atm.

Julie Cant: James, you're a lifesaver! My daughter is desperate for me to cut her hair and I'm terrified to do it and have been watching endless videos until I hit upon yours....you've made it so easy to follow that I have every confidence now and can't wait to get on it tomorrow morning!! Thank you so much!

Fluffy Tactical: This is a fabulous haircut!! Can't request in the salon, no one has a clue how to do this. They end up butchering your hair... true story. Then get insulted if you ask if they would watch a video...

Amanda Robbins: The day after I watched this a girl came into the salon and asked me for this haircut and I was SO glad I had watched this video ! It was so easy and she LOVED it and it looked awesome !! Thank you James

Meeshala Bird: Shag is being requested alot these days so this was perfect! Thanks James

Gracie to the Max: I really appreciate your videos! Love that you don’t make me feel inferior to you! Doesn’t matter if you’ve been doing hair for 2 months or 22 years (like me), there is always new or different ways to achieve similar results! Cheers!

Steph Apie: I've had such a hard time trying to find a stylist to give me a beautiful cut like this one. I come out with a bob every time. I may try to do this myself. Thank you for sharing this. I love it!

HONK: I did this and it turned out great! I kept the first front section a bit longer (I was scared lol) and went from there. It looks sooo good on my long wavy hair thank you SO much I've been cutting my layers wrong all this time!!

Autumn g: Commenting after having done this a month ago (with minimal hair cutting experience) and it is genuinely the best haircut I’ve ever had and I’ve gotten nothing but compliments on it. I’m non-binary and usually feel uncomfortable keeping my hair long but this hairstyle makes me feel like I can grow it out even more and still look androgynous! It’s also super versatile so I can look more femme or masc depending on how I style it/what I wear. This video is legit

Phiatron23: I just gave myself this haircut last night and I swear this is the best cut I’ve ever gotten! Especially worn wavy/curly! I love it so much

Scoobert Doobert: having a mental break rn, doing this when I’m done eating noodles !!

Monique Sullivan: This was the second haircut I learned in beauty school in 1979!

Kass Rodz: A shag cut is good for girls with wavy and curly hair. Just got a shag cut last week and my waves have been Poppin

Zee: I researched and watched sooo many tutorials, and this is definitely the BEST one!! So easy to follow! I watched your video a couple of times before I bit the bullet and did this cut on myself. My hair has so much volume, feels so light, and it’s so curly now! (curls that weren’t evident before!) Thank you so much James!! ❤️

Connie Bee: I love it. The Shag is one of my favorite cuts. Everyone looks good in it. I wish your model was a human although I love that you styled the finished product.

Susan Ksr: I haven't had a professional cut in decades, but I'm finally ready and this is very close to what I think I need. Now, if only I can find a stylist who is willing to watch and able to replicate it! Thanks for sharing the proper technique. Wish me luck.

Barbara Dally: Loved your demonstration! The forward-twist cut IS the key!! Love those small but mighty details you share- Really well done:) Barbara

Linda Grohmann: Thank you so much for this, just tried it on myself and it worked beautifully, I love it! Ended up cutting the fringe quite short afterwards because I don't like a long fringe that's in my eyes or even just touching my brows all the time, and I also don't like curtain bangs on myself, but it turned out really good (I connected it to the slightly longer parts to frame my face) and I am so happy with this new look!!! Have had reeeeallllly long, straight hair for at least 4 years now and it was so time for a change, this was perfect!!

cedaris: I did this the other day and came out amazing! Thank you so much! Anyone who's pondering doing this, you guys should just go for it it's really foolproof lol

ana bozovic: thank you so much!! I just did this with my mom and I can't begin to explain how amazing it turned out! We were a bit scared since neither of us cut hair before, but it turned out to be super easy and my favorite hairstyle I've ever had

Kitty & Cat: This was very helpful. I'm going to try to do my own at home. I cut my hair into a long shag once before, and it turned out pretty good. I just thought about it a lot and figured it out in my head before I did it. I had some awesome mirrors that helped me see all the way around. I did attend cosmetology school, but that was back in the late seventies. LOL so, I am encouraged and excited to see how this will turn out. Thanks for posting with such detail.

Carol Ritchie: JAMES! My husband just did this cut in me and it turned out amazing! My first ever home hair cut, and it is gorgeous. Hubby is very impressed with himself, he’s now calling himself “Vidal”. My profile photo shows the new cut, air dried with a bit of sea salt spray. So grateful to you. Thank you!

Bella Bella: I watched the video 100 times, finally did this to myself… and I loved it!! Was so afraid to messed it up but it end it up really nice, my hair length is close to my waist and wavy/curly, felt like I was cutting so much but at the end was perfect!!thank you for this video.

krystawitt: OMG!!! I have never cut hair in my life...My daughter showed me this video and 'pressured' me into cutting her hair! Her hair is down to her butt, so you can imagine how nervous I was for HER. lol. It turned out sooo great!!! I am so proud of myself! Your video was very detailed and made it so easy to follow. I wish there was a way to post a picture. Thank you so much!!

Abda Araújo: Thank you so much, you have no idea how much you've helped me boost my confidence! This is honestly the best haircut I've ever had, and i feel like a new person now. You do an amazing job, and i just wanted to tell you how incredible you are

Charlie Jackson-Diggs: I just did this on myself and I really like it. I’ll see if that changes in the following weeks. Lol I will say that because everything was cut straight across the top(above my ears) ended up looking a little more bulky than I wanted (I have medium/coarse hair and pretty thick.) If I do this again I’ll point cut. I went to cosmetology school a long time ago and never went into the industry so I just used my texturizing shears and my limited know-how to thin parts out until satisfied. Make sure if you try this to keep your back straight, elbows up, keep your sections tight, you hair needs to stay wet, and don’t cut past your first knuckle! It really does matter.

Kim Henly: Just did this on my daughter, perfect! Thank you. I am qualified, but work alone. You are my staff room

srvntlilly: I love it! Soo simple! Exactly how I cut my own hair in the 80's. Love your teaching style. ☺️

Cynthia Stanley: Than you so much for this tutorial. I had trained for 2 years in the late '70's to be a beautician, but decided while in college to be an administrative secretary. I haven't forgotten my basics of what I learned and I think that I'll try this cut on myself. My hair is waist length so it may be a bit more challenging. Anyway I have always worn my hair cut in long layers and I'm not always happy with the look because of the technique used by the stylist. Thanks again and have a wonderful day.☺️

Blue Moon: Thank you for making it easy to follow!I just tried this and it looks AMAZING.You really have to trust the process with this haircut. At some point I just winged it (but while applying the 45 degree angle+twisting logic) with random sections. I have no prior hair cutting experience whatsoever but I have to say I nailed it. I had hair which almost touched my waist because I didn't cut it for about 3 years, it lacked volume and looked boring. I felt good while looking at the mirror after such a long time.

Janet Santoro: I love this! I’m a stylist in Connecticut, I just cut my own hair into this shape! So versatile! ❤️

Mythos: AINT NO ONE CAN CAN STOP ME FROM A MULLET AT HOME

A. Garcia: Used this tutorial to cut my hair last night and I LOVE IT. I love how easy it is to do on yourself as well as on someone else

Anna: I just cut my hair while following your tutorial and the results are AMAZINGGG, although I have zero experience lol !!!!!!! Thank you so much !! <3

Elizabeth Carr: I plucked up the courage to do this cut on my 17-year-old daughters long straight hair - she loves it! Thank you so much for the clear instructions

Debra Hunter: I love this tutorials: so easy to follow! Every other one I’ve watched has been so complicated with so much repetition : boring. However Jake makes it simple simple shuffle thank you!

Saniyya Mirza: I have ZERO haircutting experience (other than impulsively cutting my bangs) and my hair has never looked better, thanks to this clear and concise tutorial. Thank you so much!

Teresa D'cruze: Not me watching this and debating if my shakey hands and my lack of coordination will help me achieve this✋

Silvia Z.: I wish I could’ve found your tutorial before. Yesterday, after watching 10+ YouTube tutorials for shags and layered haircuts, I cut my hair utilizing the techniques from 3 different vids. I worked hard the crown area bc I wanted volume. It turned out great in my opinion. However the back looks bit choppy; I did the ponytail above forehead technique, but with yours I’m definitely trying it next time when my hair grows a bit more. I basically now have a layered bob with volume in crown. But def want the shaggy hairstyle. Love that you go straight to the point, very clear instructions and specially love the non-over chatting video. Thx for this!

Kitanne: Thank you so much for this detailed tutorial. This really helped me clean up the front of my pandemic grown out curly hair cut and gave it life again! My curls are so much happier now.

Bianca Jeremiah: I was so scared when I saw all my hair chopping off but I ABSOLUTELY LOVE this cut!! I’m shook. You saved my hair thank you smmmmm ❤️❤️❤️

Karolina Matuszak Pettersson: I normally never leave comments on youtube, but I just have to thank you so so much for this tutorial! I followed this video and ended up with a beautiful haircut and i've never cut my hair before:o So many people thought I got my hair cut at a hairsalon and i've never received so many compliments about my hair before:D Really recommend this hairstyle if you have a bit of wavy hair and want to make those locks come to life. Another plus is that I don't have to style my hair in the morning, it just looks so chic and effortless on it's own. And even if you mess a bit up, it won't be noticeable. Thank you so much again!<3

Eds: I can't thank you enough for making this video! After going through the initial shock of cutting myself bangs (which I never had before), it was super easy, and I gotta say I'm madly in love with the haircut

Sean Genoff: Amazing! My friend requested this haircut & I planned to search for a tutorial, since it’s been years since I have worked in the business nor have I ever done this cut before. Strange thing is it came up before doing a search! I subscribed after watching your balayage (ponytail) technique to do on myself. Another coincidence is I came up with the ponytail idea on my own & wondered if anyone else already thought of it! Thank you! You are an excellent instructor. I wish had access 20 yrs. ago! Thanks, again!

Space Jay: Followed your tutorial to give my younger brother a haircut and he loved it ! He’s the type who doesn’t know how to style it so it’s just grown out and tied up. Seeing him smile and feeling confident after looking in the mirror has made me happy.

Bev Toward: Thank you I've been hunting for an actually easy to follow tutorial for so long ❤ still hiding from salons because of covid so it's great to be able to do my own hair at least. Xx

ew why: did this on myself today and it looks amazing !! and it was so easy :)

Sublimnal Phish: My all time favorite would be the reversal hair cut. I use to give myself a shag hair cut for many years but it is so hard to grow out and look good doing so. Now I have butt length hair and am still growing it out to whatever length it can get to before my demise, if I demise! Oh a REAL hard cut is to keep the hair real long and do a shag which I have done once but it turned out beautifully. The bangs were about 4 inches and the back was about 2 feet . Not an easy cut to give a smooth transition but somehow I managed. I love these tutorials to help other and give me a refresher course. Thanks!

Lisa MRB: This is such a fun haircut! Sassy and versatile. Clients that usually want this cut, seem to have loads of personality and wear it well! Edgy and fun! You remind me of my teacher Anthony Barrow, from London England. He taught me precision cutting in the mid 90’s. I’ve had my license for over 25 yrs. I worked in a Salon in London, Ontario; Canada. He was the Salon owners friend and came over to Canada, to teach. He was a very good teacher! You bring back great memories. Thank you! Many compliments are sent your way! Cheers!

g. c.: I've never cut hair before in my life. But this turned out wonderful on me! Thank you so much.

Stayinyourlane: I finally got the courage to do this, best cut I’ve had in years! Thank you

Yuri Bock: Oh. My. God. This is an excellent tutorial! I appreciate how to the point and direct the instructions are and the different camera angles are so helpful. I am a licensed hairstylist and I'm constantly watching hair vids and this is one of my favorites. Thank you for the simple content and hope to see more! Subscribed!

Alexandra Vargas: I tried this haircut!! I watched the video like a thousand times, and the tutorial was GREAT! The cut was great, HOWEVER, I have curly hair (3a type) and I must say…GIRLS BE CAREFUL! I cut the bangs too short (above my eyes) and as consequence, the top layer all around my head is short and it has been very difficult to style it because my curls shrink back a lot so they stick out and it looks weird. I also cut my moms hair and she has wavy hair and I cut the bangs up to her chin and the haircut looks incredible on her!!

Helen Virgo: This video was recommended to me by YouTube. Watched it and immediately after cut my hair. I have thick, straight, long hair so cut the bangs to the level of my chin in case something went wrong. It was super easy to do and brought out the few waves that i have. I couldn't be happier with the result. Thank you!

Christine H: It turned out exactly how I wanted my haircut to be! Thank u so so much! Super cool and new haircut. If ur thinking abt trying it out, definitely do it!! It’s perfect for thick, frizzy and wavy-curly hair!

i changed my name a lot of times: I followed this tutorial last December and I loved the results! Now, I'm back here again to once again cut my hair in that style. Tysm!

Fatimag: I did it for my daughter : a real success. Thank you sooooo much ❤️

Donna Bentley: Love that cut. Had this cut in my 20s. Had very curly hair and it was rated nicely with this technique. Too many hairdressers don't do the angles correctly. So lovely

Diane: This is what we called a PRECISION HAIRCUT in the 70's! I see to cut hair back then beforeI became an RN and still cut my own hair. Love this cut! #TheSasoonWay

Beachlvr58: I’ve been a stylist for over 40 years and used to do this haircut in the 80’s and early 90’s. Then the styles changed and straight and flat became the thing and natural curly and/or waving hair got flat ironed, chemically smoothed and straightened and god forbid if the back was longer than the sides which the term “mullet” evolved! The thing with this haircut is many shapes can be obtained from it….fullness and closeness here and there…whatever you look good in is what can be achieved! I am so excited that this is making a comeback and that I can be a part of this great vintage look!

Gabriela Cardenas: I did it and I loved it. It is perfect for my wavy hair. Thank you so much

Émilie Audet: Thanks a lot for this. I already have this haircut, but I needed a refresh and since all hair salon are closed due to covid, I had to do it by myself. Your tutorial was the best and gave great results !

Jo Bee: I have just done this. Looks really good and such an easy haircut to do to self as all the cutting is from the front. Thank you ❤️

PDavid88: Omg I just did this haircut! I was panicking after the first cut because it was so short, but in the end wow wow wow I am in love! This is the best haircut and wow I cannot thank you enough . I love you!!!

Mireia Roberts: Great tutorial!! I followed it and my hair looks AMAZING THANK YOU !! Super easy to go

Yolki!: I’ve been coming back to this video every time since I first got my mullet a year ago. It was overgrown and there were no videos on how to cut mullets since at the time they weren’t popular like now. I really wanted to keep my mullet but save money and- OMG THIS VIDEO SAVED ME. It’s the only video I rlly trust since it has simple instructions and always comes out good + I can do it by myself. I’ve tried other videos but this ones the best for me so I just wanted to say you are literally a savior, Thank you so much for making it so easy to follow!!! <3

Jessica Aram: Just done this on myself and I absolutely love it. I can’t stop smiling!

Jillian Brosch: Thanks so much for the broken down tutorial! I have a client who comes in asking for a “Farrah Fawcet” style look and I always have a hard time finding a simplified way to do it, since I’m timed on all haircuts. Thanks so much!!

t l a l l i: this is my favorite shag tutorial! you helped me and my friends, thank you!!

Sandie N.: This is exactly the cut I want! I need to have someone who has done this before. Thank you!

Crystal Kelley: Love love love. The 70s and 80s are back

June Courtland-Burke: Just wanted to say bravo…For those of us that are not professionals you have created a wonderful tutorial that is both simple to follow with incredible results! Out of over 160 videos that I’ve watched I find yours to be the easiest for a “non-professional“ to follow! Just wanted to pop in and say thank you!

B.: I just did this to my hair! I am enjoying the final result and there’s a tiktok on my channel of the results, but not the process!

Julia Jones: THIS is what I have been searching for! I have very long hair from having no hair cuts during Covid. I’m ready to whack it off, but I want something that will keep most of my length and still flatter my face and take advantage of my wavy/curly hair. Thank you

bougeac: Cool haircut, love the way you used a head cam to show the cut from your perspective. Always struggled with long graduation at the front (keeping elevation consistent/keeping good balance) but I think this technique will help! Subscribed!

Monstë M: I did this the first time with your technique and it’s not mullet I wanted lmao, but I’m really satisfied with your technique and the result. Thank you so much. 10/10 I recommend really ❤️

담하라: this video was so helpful!!! in may last year i attempted to cut this style but i just hacked at my hair haphazardly, but my hair's grown out a bit and i wanted to do the same style; following this video made it so easy to cut my hair like this!! thank you so much

Danielle Megan Hicban: thank you for the best possible tutorial for me to style my obligatory quarantine cut, I love being 24 during 2020!!

Janet Marzan: i absolutely loved this straight forward, excellent & beautiful shag cut!

Emily Griffin: Ohmigosh! I had this hair cut years ago and it was THE BEST cut of my life. But I lost the stylist's name. I have been asking for "a long shag" ever since but never got this cut again. Thank you! Now I can better communicate to hairdressers. And seriously, everyone: try this cut if you have wavy hair. It's amazing. Looks good wavy. Looks good blown out. Looks good as bedhead. Looks good after the beach.

priyanka maheshwari: In a DIY session it turned to the haircut I always wanted to have...it took me a whole night to gather the courage for this experiment on myself. But the result was awesome. It did it to the mid length and wow..my children were of the view..OMG. what are doing ?? But YES..I did it and in love with this haircut. Thanks fr this tutorial

Charlotte Ruse: I wore this style until I was 40 . Then grew it out one length after my mother-in-law died she was the only one that could cut it like that. I love my hair and it's really long but I'm going to lose it a few weeks after I start chemo at the beginning of August, so I think I will take the plunge now and revisit another time before I cut it really short and eventually shave it.

Jojo Raho: Thank you so much! Im a hair dresser and i will definitely use this technique! I love 90s and 80s hair styles so beautiful

Hannah Ramirez: Oh my god thank you, you saved my hair! Thank your for actually giving details on how to do this❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

TopHat: Love it! This will be a simple cut I can do myself at home since COVID keeps me from the salons. Thank you so much!

Charlotte Cameron: This is one of my favourite haircuts, thankyou for sharing all your techniques, it’s all I’ve been watching while on lockdown, can’t wait to get back in the salon and try all this new stuff

Claudina Elizabeth Layana: Got me some scissors and did this to myself.. I’m in awe with the results! Thank you for this we some tutorial ☀️

Amber Fall: just used this to cut my hair! sooo much hair comes off but don't be scared! follow his instructions and it turns out great! my hair was a little blunt so i point cut all the ends. if you have wavy hair this cut looks great! very cool and effortless even if you cut it lop-sided :)

Melodie Johnston: I wore two haircuts from age 15 to 40-something, both of them Vidal Sassoon. I started with the asymmetrical (short on one side) bob at 15. I was the only one who wore it. I then grew that out to this shag and wore it until my hair got too fine and the front thinned so that it didn't fall as it should any more. I would still be wearing it if my hair would grow in. This was an excellent tutorial and illustration of what a great cut should be. Thanks.

Mr. Santa Cruz: Watched this once. Did the hair cut 5 mins later. One ofmy favorite I’ve ever done. Thank You

Emma: Ive used this tutorial for almost half a year and coming back for a refresh. This tutorial is so simple thank you

Bosvigo's: I am going to make sure my village hairdresser sees this. I love this style so much and have worn versions of it for years. Now at 69, I need it again. I can clip it up, wear it down and it is very weatherproof, always a good idea in Ireland! Thank you so much!
