I am doing this new thing called "Mannequin Makeover" where I makeover haircuts on mannequin heads that I have laying around with all sorts of haircuts. The key is to be able to create a new look from something that a new client could be previously unhappy with.

Thanks for watching and hope you enjoy it.

Hey guys Steven a salon guy here and I'm doing something new called mannequin makeover, where I take a mannequin that I found that I've butchered over the years. You know I've collected so many throughout my career, and you know I'm just going and searching for them and once I have some really interesting haircuts, the key to being a good hairstylist is being able to look at a client seeing what they have if they have Some sort of you know disaster or bad haircut and seeing how you can make that into a good haircut. So here's a mannequin that I found that's been lying around as you can see some heavy bangs, here's and disconnected pieces, a short kind of back. So I'm going to completely re-read transform this haircut and to something new and different, and I want you guys to enjoy this - have some fun with it, and hopefully it can inspire you to do more makeovers in the salon with your clients, so hope you enjoy it. There'S no laser alright guys! Well, here you have. The finished result on the important thing is that I use no product whatsoever no brush and created this look. This is like one of my top money looks in the salon. I do this haircut. Quite often it's a great makeover haircut as you can see. You know I worked everything into the bang. You can wear the whole fringe kind of PC and wispy. You know it's it's just kind of like that. Fun, no worries you! Wake up. You can shake your hands and a blow dry, it real quick, and it's done. The haircut really speaks for itself. I kind of you know rounded everything out. I could it um, you know pulled it out vertically horizontally. I mean I really did everything I could. I texturize it a lot. I really put a lot into it, so the more you put into the haircut the more it's going to show in the end results and also when you're cutting hair think about how it's gon na grow out. You want the haircut looking really good as they grow out, because that's gon na be the true trademark of your work. So again, this is pretty much it. Thank you guys so much for watching. If you have any questions, definitely leave a comment below. Thank you for all your support and see you guys soon. You you

Betsy Warrior: Great idea having a double screen to show both right and left cutting at the same time.  Saves a lot of of repetition on duplicate techniques.  These techniques look like classical strategies for creating that great even sheared look.

JodiMSmith: Brilliant idea and it keeps the mannequin happy!! Video was very energetic loved it!!

showylee1980: very nice! wish to see more of these demos in the future! thanks!

TheSalonGuy: Twisting the hair bunches up a small section so that when you chip into it, you are covering more ground and not cutting too much with a thin section. If it's too thin you may actually cut the WHOLE strand so this adds a cushion.

Ana Maria Mendez: I love your techniques but hopefully you could slow it down a bit and also provide a step by step tutorial for hair blow-drying. Thanks and more power to you!

Coo Mason: You do good work! Wish I could find a good stylist!

showylee1980: yea! really want to hear the technics! especially how you connect the top, the crown! sometimes when i cut hair it can go a bit flat! thanks!
