It is surprising how well-received this look was during the year, especially if we consider that before this year there were some complaints about it. The so-called wolf cut is really a modification of the also known mullet, but more shaggy and with more layers and texture. The mullet alone has lots of history in kpop and it is quite a polarizing hairstyle, some love it and some hate it. The style can be traced back to kim bianchi in the 1990s, a famous goalkeeper or also to macgyver. Nonetheless, the hairstyle was a trend in the 70s and 80s, with many rock artists using it, the style was brought back to korea in the last decade by some idols like g-dragon, mino and baekhyun during kakabob era. This last idol received several comments at the time for the look, his fans consider it outdated. Still after that time, many other idols started using it and slowly but surely a more relaxed version of the cut arises to the wolf cut we have now. It has become such a trend that many female idols have also tried it and netizens are loving it, for example, with elvis jacquian. Another idol that is recently known for having this hairstyle is txt's bambio and at some point, jim from bts, was also praised for having this haircut, though he had it before it was even a trend, and it is not only idols.
