Hey guys, I'm finally back with another hair, how to. - And this is been a very requested style., It's the Petaled Loc Fro.. Now I didn't come up with this. On my own.. I actually got inspiration from you. Guys., Someone posted this beautiful photo on my Facebook fan page and I just went crazy.. Have you ever seen something that is just this fabulous, But no one knew who this lady was, and so you guys did some sleuthing on Instagram and Facebook, and we found out this lady's name on Instagram is ilocsitdown, which is an understatement, to say the least, because She definitely locs it down. Her hair is absolutely amazing., So I did some digging to find out how to do the Loc, Petals and kinda modified it a little bit to work for me.. What'S really great about these Loc Petals? Not only do they work on a variety of lengths of hair, but they could be added to lots of different styles., So you don't have to go full out and do your entire head.. One of my favorite photos is this beautiful bun. That'S got the petals coming out of it., It's absolutely gorgeous., So you can have a lot of fun with this style.. It'S super easy. It is kind of time-consuming, but I promise you that it is worth it.. So let's go ahead and get started. So to start I already went ahead and washed and re-twisted my hair, but you don't have to do this on freshly re-twisted hair.. But I was long overdue and I also went ahead and did two flat twists on the side to start just because the photo that I'm using for inspiration. She had a little twist on the side and I thought it was really cute and gave the style a little more shape.. So I went ahead and flat-twisted the side and I am using black little rubber bands for this hair style.. You can pick these up at your local drugstore or beauty supply.. I think I paid $ 1.99 for a pack of 500 of these bands.. They also come in other colors, but it's probably best to get black or dark brown or clear if possible, so that they don't show up in your hair.. So I'm gon na start with one lock and I figured out that my locks are long enough to get about three petals out of one.. Now, depending on the length of your hair, you might only be able to get two or one or maybe you can get more than three., But you want to try that first before you go ahead and start making petals. So gon na make three loops. One. Two. Three like so. And then I'm gon na use one of my little rubber bands to rubber band this petal at the end, so that it doesn't come loose. Ta-da. So now, I'm just gon na go ahead and do the rest of my head.. It'S about three o'clock and I'm doing this all by myself.. So wish me luck, let's see how long it takes me.. So I'm still in the very beginning stages of this hairstyle, but I figured out a way to make these petals a lot easier.. I'M just gon na use two fingers like this and you're. Basically gon na make the petals around your finger like so so you might have to kinda play with it to figure out the right length., But now I've got them now. I'Ve got you. (, light music ) And I'm just gon na use a rubber band. Ta-da. Way easier than how I was doing it. Before., Okay, back to it. (, light music ) Ta-da, So it took about two hours to do my entire head.. It wasn't that bad though I watched a movie, which I was doing it. So that's a suggestion for you guys if you decide to try it., I absolutely love how it came out., It's so different for me, and I think I'm gon na leave this in for like two weeks and hopefully when I take it down, it'll be kind of Wavy. So we'll see how it turns out.. So when I finished, I actually took a few pins and kind of arranged some of this, so that I would have more of a defined bang and so that you could actually see the flat twist here. But you could absolutely leave it down and just have it all be like floppy all over the place., But I really love how it came out with the flat twist.. So here is the completed look.. So cute right. BabyDee1: Time consuming but so worth it! I did the front of my hair and twisted the back upwards in a bun. I got sooooooo many compliments! After I did the loops, I held the main lock and slid the other loops toward my scalp (like tying a tie motion). This made them not “flop” around.
Jennifer Bottoms: I just did this style today and it is awesome!! Thanks so much for the tutorial! The only problem I had was that ends of the locs that I flat twisted were a bit too short to make the loops match the rest, and those petals were also a bit bulky because there were about 5-6 locs in the flat twists. Nothing major to deal with in comparison to how beautiful the style is. Thanks again!!

bjjask: Great video; thanks for sharing. My locs are shorter (only been loc'd for 14 months). But I played around with them and discovered while I can only get one loop out of a loc, if I bunch two together, loop, and rubber band it will give me a full look and is just as cute.

angelisa t: hey Chescalocs. did this for my 3year lockaversary. Loved it... time went pretty fast for me. I did use the cheaper rubberbands because the stronger ones are hard to take out. But the cheap ones basically popped out.. lol as they style got older. but i loved it and got a Whole lot of compliments on my hair. Love the channel. keep up with the video tutorials. :)
