Legolas Hairstyle Tutorial

I have some more LotR ones coming =) They're kinda hard to find though since there are only really 3 female characters in the movies but I try ;) I'll have a look at all the background people too, so watch out for 'random peasant with child in cave hairstyle!' =D

Hey guys so today, I'm going to show you how to do Legolas is hair. So, let's get started first thing that I'm going to do is separate out the top layer of my hair. So I'm going to make the party and it's going to start right about here and go all around my head just like that, and I am going to clip it on top of my head. Okay. So now we're going to make a two little brace that he has over here and I am pretty sure they are lace breaks just like a regular lace, braid and I'm going to do them Dutch with a lace braid. It doesn't make much difference, but I just like it better if it's Dutch, so I am going to take a piece of hair from the front separating into three sections and I'm going to start at the top. So the top one goes under first and then the second one, and now I'm going to add a little bit of hair to the top section and on to the bottom. Okay, and now that I've come towards the back of my head. I am just going to finish off this braid as I normally would. Okay and I'm not going to finish it all the way down just to about chin length and I'm going to tie it off with a little hair elastic. And you want this to be similar to your hair color, you like that and now I'm just going to do the same thing on the other side, so late spring: regular English, braid, okay! So now that's done we're going to move on to the big braid so letting down this hair, I'm going to brush it back straight back very tightly just like that see very, very smooth and tight, and now I am going to separate this into two pieces and Make a fishtail braid! Now I have a video on fishtail braids. So if you want some more detailed information on that go check it out, so I'm just taking a little strand of hair from each section and adding it to the other one and that's what makes a fishtail braid. And now I'm going to do this with all of this hair and that's going to take a while. So I'm just going to speed this up. Okay! So now, as you can see, my top has um moved a bit, so I'm just going to brush that back. So it's flats again or at least I'll try to okay - and here is your Legolas hair done or my attempt at it. It'S very time-consuming, but it's pretty too so yeah I like it, and even though it's a men's hairstyle, I think girls can wear. Definitely so um yeah. So far... I just learned the fish-tail braid off YouTube literally right now and am wearing it. I love elven styles! :) The Legolas style looks like a fun challenge for when my hair is a few inches longer, and when I've mastered that tricky-looking Dutch plait =)
