Hi there i'm christina from he romance comm, i'm here on beautiful home in ireland, in the whitsundays in australia, and i'm going to show you how I put up my messy beach curls into a neat Dutch braided bun. You want to start by taking a section of hair and splitting it into three. A Dutch braid is just like a French braid, but it works in the reverse. Instead of bringing the hair over into the middle, you bring it under into the middle. I started the braid by bringing the left section under the middle and then the right section under the left, as I brought the next section under I added a piece of hair to that the same on the right hand, side add in a big section of hair, As you're braiding through, if you have straight hair, you'll, be able to take in smaller sections but weave messy curly hair, it's much easier just to take large sections into the braid, also to minimize part lines. You'Ll notice I'm taking much larger sections from the right hand side from right across the top of my head. This will give a much more seamless finish, as the braid sits diagonally down towards the right side of my neck. Now you just want to continue braiding keeping that diagonal line towards the lower right side of your neck, make sure you bring in sections from the right side all the way across from your hairline and still leaving enough hair and the underneath section to keep the braid Fairly, even if you've got curly, hair, you've probably experienced this as well. Your hair can get quite tangled and it's difficult, sometimes when you're braiding. My tip is just to be gentle when you're trying to break up the curls and, if possible, try and take large sections that have the whole curl in them, so you're not having to pull them apart too much, as these are second day calls for me, and I'Ve been swimming in the sea, my hair is pretty salty and pretty tangled. So usually it shouldn't be this hard to braid your curls. If you wanted to make it a little bit easier, though you can start when your hair's wet, and that will make it a lot easier to do, and you can also comb through with a wide tooth comb to make sure that you don't have any tangles before You start to braid. Now, if we manage to get through those tangles, you should almost be finished your braid and make sure you keep angling it diagonally down and once you've added in the rest of your hair. Just finish in a normal braid to secure the end of your braid, I recommend using a small, clear, hair, elastic or try and find a smaller a stick. That'S the same color as your hair. Now you can finish the stylet and leaving it as a side braid, which i think looks really pretty. I often wear my hair, like this I'll finish it in a bun, but first up there's a really important step that you can't miss it's something I do with all my braids and that's stretching it out, particularly with a Dutch braid. This emphasizes the shape of the braid and it looks fantastic. It makes your hair look so much thicker and really just creates that impact in the braid and then just roll. The end up tucking the ends under and make a little flat, almost flower shape bun. A couple of bobby pins pushed up and then down hold them style securely, and that's it thanks for watching. Ana T: I'm so glad I found your videos. It's so rare to find natural curly hair videos with quick and cute hair styles. Thanks so much. I will be trying all your ideas. Please add more! :-)

Heidi C: Another great video and gorgeous nails too!

Nena Bishop: It looks very easy but it won't be for me...but I love this. Thanks

Lava Ravi: hi.thank u for the video.I tried it.my hair is black and it's 3b/c curls.when I did the braid.the braids wasn't visible that much.I tried again and again and I found out my hair has to be really shiny to make the braids look visible.and my hair does not have shades of colour like yours .it's all black..my problem is my braids cannot be seen that much.is there a way?

gidgetgetscrafty: I'm having trouble getting the braid to start close to my crown.  You can't really see the braid until further down.  And I keep ending up with a too short middle piece.  I guess it's just going to take a lot more practice.  My hair is also curlier than yours.  Which adds to the complication.

Katelynn Bolt: Do you have any suggestions on how to get curly hair like yours? I have thick wavy hair but not curly

ayecynthia: I feel like so many of these curly hairstyles are for shorter hair. Or maybe my hair is just another level of curls and tangles I have up after a minute lol
