It'S your man alex and in this video due to high demand from all of my viewers, i'm going to be showing you guys how to cut your own hair using only beard trimmers right here, i'm showing you guys a 360 view of my hair before the haircut For this haircut, i will be using my 40 wall beard trimmers to get started with the haircut. I'M going to be combing all of my hair down to straighten out the hair strands and begin putting in a bald line all around my head using my trimmers with no guard on them. The key with your initial guideline is starting very low on the side of your head notice. How my initial guideline is just about even to the top of my ear, because i already know this haircut will be more difficult than the others i'll be doing my best to create a solid fade without a lever and proper guards. So because of this, i will try my best to stretch out the fade and start my initial guideline lower than usual. Make sure you do the exact same thing on the other side start that initial guideline at about the same height at the top of your ear and then create a downward angle after the ear to connect the guideline at the occipital ridge. On the back of your head, so i recently did a poll on my instagram account. You guys can follow me at alex coraz, and in this poll i asked how many people did or did not have clippers to cut their own hair and over 32 percent said they did not own any clippers and that many people due to current global events, could Not purchase these clippers because they're either all sold out or the prices have increased significantly and they cannot afford to buy clippers. You guys have inspired me to make this video and i challenged myself to cut my own hair, using only beard trimmers using my three millimeter trimmer guard i'll, be going up about one inch from my initial guideline all the way around my head. If you guys look closely at my wrist motion, i'm going up one inch with the trimmers and as soon as i'm done going up that one inch, i'm curling my wrist outward. This outward wrist motion is going to cut any hairs that are hanging down from the above section as well as help you straighten out the hair for the next section. This will make it easier to see all of your guidelines as you move up your head. Using the different guards again do the exact same thing on the other side, going up about one inch from the initial guideline, using the three millimeter trimmer guard now using the six millimeter trimmer guard, i'm going up about three quarters of an inch from my previous guideline. Using that same wrist motion take out the bulk and then use that outward motion to straighten out your guideline for the next section make sure you do this all around your head now, if you guys need help understanding my mirror setup click, the link in the card Section above in the upper right corner to check out my self haircut mirror setup with a fade video. If you guys don't know who i am my name is alex and i'm known here on youtube as the guy. That'S really good. At cutting his own hair, i've uploaded numerous self haircut videos that you guys are more than welcome to watch if you need help with cutting your own hair in times like this, the other self haircuts are all done using actual hair cutting clippers. So if you do have clippers, those videos should be very helpful for you. My channel is dedicated to providing mostly men tips and skills that will ultimately help you save a lot of money and potentially make money cutting other people's hair using the 10 millimeter trimmer guard. I'M going to be flicking up and out removing about half an inch of bulk, but also trying to blend in the existing hair. From my part line, when doing this, a good tip is to pull your trimmer straight up. In a 90 degree angle, your natural head shape is round, and so usually at the part line is where you start to see it round off by pulling the hair straight up as you blend in the part line here, you will create a really nice natural looking Shape that looks great and is very common in most haircuts today, you're going to do the exact same thing on the other side of your head: remove about half an inch of hair using that flick out motion to blend in your hair as much as possible. Now, if you're trying to give yourself an undercut or a buzz cut, then you can ignore this blending step completely run the 10 millimeter guard up into your part line and make sure your part line is nice and straight on both sides. Um now using your trimmers with no guard you're, going to start taking out that first hard guideline, because trimmers do not have the proper guards or a lever for fading. This fading tip should be really useful for you, so to start place your trimmer directly below the first hard guideline and flick up and out just like i'm doing. The key here is starting the flick out motion directly below the hard guideline. Without a lever we won't be able to have a smoother fade, but at least we can take out a large amount of that hard guideline. Do the exact same thing on the other side of your head, starting directly below the hard guideline flick up and out to blend in the line? Another great tip you can use to create a smoother fade is to use the corners of your trimmers and go up and down through the hard guideline. Think of it as creating a lot of small mountain peaks in the hard guideline, thus creating a blending effect using the three millimeter guard, you're going to start blending in that second hard guideline use the exact same blending technique as before, flick up and out starting below The hard guideline right here you can see the fade is starting to show a little bit better using my trimmers, i'm trying to freehand the fade now by starting below the hard line and using my mirrors to pull the trimmer straight up in a 90 degree angle. This part can be a bit more challenging, so it's definitely recommended that you take it slow to ensure your arm and your hand is steady, so you can create a straight line going up the side of your head. So if you need to go back and touch up, some of the hard guidelines go right ahead and work on blending them in all right. So here's the final look for the fade, using only my trimmer and my trimmer guards. It didn't come out nearly as bad as i originally thought, which is a very good thing for anyone out there. That'S looking to cut their own hair with only a beard trimmer. Now i'm going to be fixing up some of these hard lines and blending in the bulk by my part line using my thinning shears and a comb, you guys should be able to find a cheap pair of thinning shears for under 10, and i know for a Fact these are still available, almost everywhere online and in store when using your thinning shears. I would recommend you move your comb slowly up your head and cut any hairs that are longer and hanging too far down from the rest of your hair. Thinning shears are fantastic for removing bulky sections of hair, as well as blending in hard lines. If you haven't already shoot your man a follow over on instagram, i really enjoy engaging with everyone, as well as seeing all of your self haircuts. If you ever have any questions for me about your self haircut tools, techniques or anything about my videos, i will always help you guys out if it involves saving money or potentially even making money so right here, i'm going to be blending in my beard with my Hair cut using the three millimeter guard, i'm taking off the bulk by the top of my beard, then without any guard i'm going to be turning the trimmers upside down and flicking down into my beard after that i'll be using the corners of my trimmers to go Up and down to get rid of the hard line as much as possible. Oh snap check out this beard, trimmer and thinning shear fade. I couldn't be any happier with how this came out without using my clippers and my lever, but wait now. I have to style my hair to go along with this bang and self haircut to start with the styling i'm going to be using shavu's ocean sea salt spray sea salt sprays are meant to add body and volume to your hair or in other terms, make your Hair appear thicker. This product has a mild coconut scent which smells really nice. It has uv and heat protection, so you're protected. If you use a blow dryer on your hair. My goal with this hairstyle is to maintain my natural wavy hair, but also use this sea salt spray. To add some texture to my hair. The last product i will be using is shavu's ocean clay, which gives your hair a firm hold and a natural shine. As you can see, it comes in this pretty large package and it has a lot of product inside. So you already know it's going to last you a long time. The product itself feels very soft and you can run your finger through it pretty easily. This product has a mild, pineapple and guava scent, which also smells really good, and the best part about all of shavu's products is that they are 100 percent sulfate and paraben free. This means they do not contain any harsh chemicals that can damage your hair. My man, dre drexler and his team over at chavu were kind enough to give me and my amazing supporters, a 10 discount when you use the promo code, kuras 10 i'll leave the promo code and website link at the top of the description. I definitely recommend shabu products, so if you're in the market for new hair products definitely check these guys out. Oh okay, son, that beard, trimmer self haircut and the shavu styling products is looking really nice on your head. Shoe look at that fade with the beard trimmer. Okay, so here's the before and after i think this haircut came out really well, given the circumstances and if you like it, please give it a thumbs up. Dre Drexler: fire cut brother! I’m amazed at how well it turned out. Glad you ended up liking the product too. Thanks for supporting shehvoo! keep up the great work Alex!

Ararso Mohamed: who else is looking at their beard trimmer crazy right now about to try this

Aaron Oddball: Another impressive cut, Alex. I love the way you did it with beard trimmers, this is a great help to us all during lockdown

Rob M: I'm just amazed at the quality cut you did with a beard trimmer. You have great hair man Awesome job

DL Thomas: Couldn’t believe you achieved this with only a beard trimmer! Just amazing...and amazing hair! You are blessed!

Cecilia Garcia: Hey there! Great tutorial. Just wanted to point out that I am a girl, I know a lot of ladies that wear their hair this short, and I have forwarded this video to them. I have received a lot of compliments on my haircuts. Still working on the finer points of getting a great fade, but your videos gave me the confidence to try. Thanks from all the ladies who love this cut. Or otherwise known as a ‘do’! ❤️❤️❤️

J J: Hi Alex, this was very helpful for those of us with just a beard trimmer. My Wahl trimmer actually has "stubble" attachments that go up in 1.5 mm increments - would those make it easier to take out some of the hard lines? Also, with access to these guards, would you recommend using 1.5 mm and 4.5 mm guides to make "in between" guidelines between the 0mm, 3mm, and 6mm guidelines?

William Lim: Thank you so much Alex. I'm about to take the plunge into cutting my own hair. I have clippers but they don't have a lever. Any tips on what adjustments I'd need to do?

DotDotZoom: Alex thanks for this. I've been trying to cut my hair after watching your vids and it's harder than it looks. I'm getting better at the fade but tbh Im not under standing the thinning sheer step. I feel like my hair looks fine then once I go in with the comb and thinning sheer, I mess everything up. It's like it's all hacked at. Whereas your Hair looks all even on the sides and back. Any tips? Am I cutting too much off at a time? Does it matter what angle the comb is going up at? Thanks man!

Bern Adventure: Your hair grow so fast, which is good. It means more great content for us. Thanks Alex❣️

Jack Reacher: Very impressive the way you have a precise cut for the area behind your head. Ive tried it even with a mirror, for me it's very difficult

Quality Assurance: "This one simple trick that all barbers don't want you to know"

Arkadeep Mukherjee: You are really good at this. I trimmed my hair today using beard trimmer. But I messed up the back side. All barbar shops are closed so have stay like this until the hair grows back

Salas: how long does cutting your hair take you in real-time? I have been cutting my hair every other month for some months and it takes me 1-2 hours. i do a skin fade and cut the top. Almost the same as your style. Great job by the way. Your videos have helped me improve!

Annas Razack: it actually pisses me off how clean his cut was. Mad respect to this legend

Benjamin Brown: I started cutting my own hair over 17 years ago, and I used a philips beard, and mustache trimmer. It didn’t work very well, and it took a long time to do. So a beard trimmer is not for haircuts. You need clipppers for that, but if you don’t have any clippers, a beard trimmer will do. The beard trimmer is not a clipper though, and a lot of people think a trimmer is the same as a clipper but it is not. The trimmer has smaller teeth on it than a clipper. The clippers have much broader body and the teeth are much larger. Trimmers were only ment for finishing and detailing not actual hair cuts. Hahahahaha!!!

LOKJIT SARMA: After seeing the tutorial , i did my self haircut and it really look sexy , thanks for this tutorial , love from india

սպարտան: my beard trimmer has every mm from 1 to 24 so instead of the flicking technique I could maybe use 1 or 2 mm to fade the first section and maybe use 4 or 5 mm for the second section. What do you think

RJ One: Bro can you do this exact haircut tutorial step by step with just an actual Wahl clipper + guards (no siscor comb) I know that there are already a lot of out here on youtube, but I just find your way of explaining mad helpful and your cuts are nice AF

Antz _: Yo Alex bro, i’m stuck I have my first guide line and understand the steps up until the bit where you begin to freehand with the trimmer towards the end at 8:20, which size do you use to free hand?

Josh Hatfield: Tried this twice. Twice I’ve shaved it all off. But watching this has sparked a new fire to try again!

Ashraful Hoque: Thank you brother, you are amazing. By watching your tutorial about self hair cut, i cut my own hair with my beard trimmer

Tawhid Ahmed: Another awesome video Alex! When you say to flick up in your videos, do we go up an inch and then flick out? Or flick out as we move the hair trimmer up an inch?

Carlos Delgado: I love your smile. Thanks for helping me cutting my own hair. You should create a tutorial video of all the minimal gear you need to self cut your hair.

J: Oh how I wish my hair was straight..I would definitely do this if I didn’t have curly hair. Wanna cut my hair at home but I don’t even know where to start

Krish Motiani: Apreciate the efforts! Imma try this tutorial soon

Rizwan Ahmmed: Thank you for this. Have the same trimmer

uxzh: I clutched up the sides but the back is a fookin mess, I don't know how you did it. Still feels and looks 100x better than it did and still have a fade. You're the man!

Alberto Bello: Looks terrific great hair too ♥️ Beyond handsome!

David c20: Thanks for shared man , how long does it take to cut your hair like usually without recording thanks

Emanuele: The best youtube video for self-haircut! Thanks Alex!!!

Joe Saba: Great haircut. This technique using the beard trimmer is harder. Love you're videos.

Shaman: Funny I prefer cutting my own hair with beard trimmer over a clipper, it’s small, light and cordless. Find it much faster too!

Martin Garcia Caro: AWESOME JOB MAN!!!

Chester Ian: That’s on point man.Nice cut

Jorge Guzman: I actually think your hair looks really good un styled. When your curls come forward like at 12:58 Great Job!

MR. ASMR BOY: It looks solid my man.

O L: Hi Alex, great video. How is your mirror set up? How are you seeing the back of your head? Thanks

Ok: Cuz of u I always cut my own hair and I'm 13 years old, keep up the good work

Sam K: Love these videos!!!

E p i c: My trimmers were made to also cut hair but the guards mine came with are kinda different, they aren't as wide. Does this tutorial still apply?

Mike Hauck: Another great cut. Thanks man.

Nada JR: I killed it about a week ago but still going to buy a machine great work lad ☝❤

Nitin Shilimkar: Very good explanation Thank you

An unknownist: Really helpful for me❤️from soo many haircutting tutorial i m choosing your Video to Learn how to fade❤️thank you soo much.. Luv from india

el Professor: Bruh you literally cut your hair 3 times within a month ..... i need this kind of motivation in my life right now... heading to cut my hair right now NO EXCUSES.. i will update y'all how it went.. pray for me.

Did Jesus have a cat?: Presumably you can follow the same instructions but starting with a longer attachment as the base if I’m not brave enough for a skin fade?

◤bitch im uzi◢: BRO THANK YOU SO MUCH

Lamebrain_03: Bro finally someone with similar hair. I have a question. If you brush your hair a different direction will it not stay in place? Like does it stay frizzy and poofy a little without falling in a stylish hairstyle lol

Balarkae: Me cutting my hair I’m at the level where it’s not great but it’s not shit just mediocre but I’ve only done it twice without watching this vid- gonna try this next time

Cyril Santos: I like this hairstyle, good thing you have thick hair for you to style.

heystefany: About to try this w my daughter's pixie cut... she's gonna end up bald, lol

king kresman: Good job

Dexter: Damm this guy is a pro

Crystal Curtis: late on finding your channel but great video. running out to buy thinning shears today. next ill try for real clippers. my oldest wants me to cut his hair again but id been winging it without doing much of a defined fade (his hair is long on top, guess it be called an undercut with fade?) anywho his barber weve used since he was 10mo old is one of the best in our area & books up fast! so this past year ive been doing cuts between appts to keep up while we wait. ive never done bad but would like to do a noticable fade. doing at home has helped save $50-$55 every cpl wks (for 2 boys) anywho i dont have IG so had my son send request to follow ya thank you ☺️

Raman Antil: How much mm trimmer did you used?

Boxer Khan: I don’t have a 6mm guard I only have 1-4 is it alright for me to use a 4mm to take out the bulk??

Joop: Gonna give this a shot right now :) thx

Josh: Most beard trimmers have thin guards only like a 1 2 and 3 milimeter guards. Can you do a scissor over comb haircut? Everyone has a comb and a pair of scissors. Not everyone has beard trimmers especially beard trimmers with number 2 guards and 3 guards

adesh patil: Really awesome cut bro

Jose Dominguez: Good video bro keep it up can you do a video of cutting your hair with a no lever?

CRYSTAL GAMING YT: Which mm clip use for cutting the second one

Tater Avila: Yeah, my artistic abilities are about as high as a stick figure, and that's when I'm looking right at it. Like hell I'm going to cut a line on the back of my head

D S: More of this bro

Suraj Vishwakarma: Oh man It's really a difficult job for beginners

Brandon Rendon: Does anybody know the brand of this beard machine?

KaiserWaffen: I've never cut my own hair before but I have a beard trimmer so I guess I'm gonna have a go

hashmo101: i need a hairline like yours. Mine's more of an 'M' :( Need to start saving to get that fixed lol

PES WORLD: Nice hair❤️

hakim hakim: As usual, you are amazing my friend, thanks YouuuuuTube

Danilo Pinheiro: very good alex i love your videos send a hug to and to Brazil!

Scuba Steve: The before looked better. The After looked... well id rather shave my head bald then walk around with that cut. Or go back to the 80's when bowl cuts were in.

D Gill: Sweet i’ll try this tomorrow wish me luck

Athul Sujith: Thankyou

BadderLiveGamer: i just wish i had the hairline to do this and the thickness

ShowbizRegent: I dont have 6m on my beardtrimmer what do I use then?

Cris Gogo: Great job with the haircut my man, but do you even know what a 90 degree angle is?

Rio Stogden: Does 3mm mean a number 3 guard ?

Berkalp Yeşilyurt: I think it’s the hardest way cutting your own hair but if you want to learn how to cut your own hair I definitely offer you to cut them with the help of beard trimmer because you will really have an idea about how you’re gonna lose guide lines perfectly. I started to cut my own hair 2 mounts ago with the help of beard but now I’m using hair trimmer because I leveled up thank you for giving idea

Wissam Lakkis: Nice, but try to fade the line till it won't exist, I also cut my own hair, fading the line what make it a professional haircut
