What'S up guys welcome to today's video i'm psyched to bring you guys a brand new haircut? This is going to be focused on layering wavy, hair uh we're going to base it off a right hand, side parting. I wanted to do it on a side parting, because it's a little bit more difficult because you're working with two different densities and i'll break that down as we go so right hand, side parting, draw a half u-shape around to the parietal ridge. That creates a nice asymmetrical section on the very top of the head. That'S gon na be the only section guys in this entire haircut so really really simple and quick, and in this day and age this covered day and age where we got to get guests in and out of the salon. This is the best way to do it. So we're going to start on the part side which we'll call the weak side and what i mean by weak is it's the less dense side, there's not as much hair over there. So we got to be cautious. We can't layer both sides exactly the same right. So i take vertical sections: bring them in front of the head, not elevated up just a slight elevation just to give a little bit of layering effect to it, and i bring everything to the front of the face, because what that's going to do is cut my Shortest layers right in the front and then it's going to push longer layers into the back, which is what i'm going for in this cut, so just see how i continue bringing everything forward, and i do that until i run out of hair all right guys. So you can see the nice face frame effect that we created now we're on the heavy side of the head right still underneath that parietal ridge section. But what i'm going to do is i'm going to elevate still keeping my fingers parallel to the section and i'm going to cut my face frame this way now elevating the hair creates a little bit shorter layers throughout the interior of this cut, which in turn takes Out some of that density, which works really well, because this is the heavier side and we want to create a balanced look, a balanced effect in this cut. So i'm going to continue working my way down, bringing it to that stationary guide. All the way through here until i run out of hair all right guys so now we're gon na work our way into the top. So i let down that top section and i'm going to take diagonal forward sections throughout the top and bring them over. I grab a little piece for my guideline and then i just connect those two together. This is going to create a disconnection from the layers that we previously just cut, but that's okay, that's what we want. We want that disconnection. The disconnection creates less weight. So i just work my way through the top diagonal forward, partings keeping my finger still parallel to the section now my elevations still being lower, and i just work my way through until i run out of hair all right guys. So now that we've finished that up, i'm just gon na cut the perimeter. This is something i like to do. Uh in these cuts is focus on the interior. First then cut my exterior because i i already know what i want the length to be, but you want to make the layers right now. Look at that wave popping out. I picked my favorite cream based uh gel uh product for the curl and then i'm blow drying using my dyson blow dryer just to scrunch up the hair. The key here to get a good curl in the hair is just not to touch the hair too much. Let the blow dryer do its work and then once it starts to get a little bit drier about 80 dry, you can start putting your hands in it, breaking the curl up a little bit and then hit it with your favorite finishing spray. To finish off the look so um, you guys can see the explosion of layers, but the balance is the key thing. Looking at that, heavy side doesn't look much different than the light side because of the elevation that we took so hope. You guys, like this video hope you took a lot of tips from it short and quick and easy. Good Witch Intuitive Tarot: Omg! I’m not a stylist, or cosmologists, but I did exactly what you said and my long, coarse, semi curly hair looks soooo much better! Thank you so much. I appreciate you!

Yulia Tsymbalyuk Fields: I just cut my long light wavy hair using this tutorial. It is amazing! Very easy, I did it completely by myself, using a little mirror to check if sections are straight on the back of my head. My haircut looks well balanced, very light, beautiful volume, and the initial hair length is preserved on the back! The best haircut I have ever had! P.s. one thing I invested money in - new sharp professional scissors. Thank you, master !

Magil Pratt: Finally, someone who knows the importance of cutting for a side part.

Victoria de Manila: Thanks! Always had problems with hairdressers as they don’t know how to cut thick wavy hair like mine. So usually I have to fix it at home. ps that cut balanced the thickness on both sides.

Dianne B: That looks fabulous. Perfect for my wavy hair.

Jen Pasca: Just in time this video came out. My sister wanted me to cut her hair that's kind of wavy. Thanks and let's be safe. Be safe

Good Witch Intuitive Tarot: Omg! I’m not a stylist, or cosmologists, but I did exactly what you said and my long, coarse, semi curly hair looks soooo much better! Thank you so much. I appreciate you!

Cass Mckenzie: This worked really well. My under/bottom layer is still laying a bit heavy, but this was great for the layers.

Bee: I really loved my long, wavy hair but I had to cut it because of all the knots I was getting. I have bad dandruff so I’m too embarrassed to go to a hairdresser, so this video really helped me, thank you!

k em: Goosh this!!!! I miss my hair being cut like this. My hairdresser is soooooo far away now. No one had cut my hair like he did yes this is how it should.be done

Lyn Cressler: Love it Matt ! It's beautiful ! Thank you

FRANTICaction: Cut my wife’s hair with this guide and she loves it :) Her waves are insane now

Shauna: Not to judge meanly, because I understand everyone has different hair and preferences unique to themselves... but as someone with curly/wavy 2b/2c hair, I CANT stand it when hairstylists scrunch curls aggressively and use heavy gel. It just ends up making my hair look like a rats nest. I’m tired of hair stylists not understanding how to really style waves or curls that are fine-textured. Personally, my hair likes gentle clumping and volume around the crown. It allows my curls to really form without frizz and prevents my style from looking triangular or disarrayed. (Just my two cents that no one asked for lol)

Kerri Conway: I have fine 2c-3a curls that are very prone to frizz. I did this cut on myself this morning and it's I think the best cut I've ever had. I have a pretty shallow side part where I have a natural cowlick, so my "weak" side ended up being a bit flat compared to the "strong" side - I had to go back in and adjust the layers a bit on that side. Next time I might do both sides more similar to how the "strong" side is done, since my part is so close to center anyway. I did the whole cut dry, and did a couple of touch up snips after washing it to keep a few curl patterns together where they wanted to lay. So so pleased.

Amelia: Love this short and quick easy vid!

Sofia Minetti: Tried yesterday..best haircut I ever had

Tania Gandol: Always helpful and lovely

gym princess: Great cut...love it!

Luann Nielson: Love the haircut! You are very talented!

MrzBadaBing: How do you know how much to cut on that heavy side ? You didn’t have a guide line so how can I get the right amount to cut without going back and forth trying to match the other side

David Berry: #freesaloneducation how did you determine your lengths from light side to heavy side? (before you cut the top). Light side you kept low, heavy side you elevated, but how did you determine the lengths so they were balanced? Didn't catch that. @freesaloneducation

Charlene Ferwerda: Thank you for sharing this! I’m a new hairstylist apprentice and this is just what I needed to see for my daughters wavy hair that I cut the other day. I hope she will sit still again for me to fix it up a bit after watching this! I’m absolutely loving all of your tutorials!! so grateful!

Хафиза Гасанова: Как всегда

snowden: That's a beautiful cut and with cut that nice the style is easy.

Feven Woldyohans: You are amazing thank you for showing how you do

Erika Salazar: How do I know where I have to cut in the heavy side?

Tayler Renee: QUESTION, When you started to cut the opposite side at 1:42 how do you know how much to cut if there isn’t a guide? Or did you make a guide that is even to the first cutting you did? I don’t know how to word this, I have not watched the whole video yet but, I thought I’d ask before I forgot!!!!

Yadira Giomara Pazmiño: Genial

Chelsea Vuchinich: For a middle part, would you just cut like the short side?

Hannah Davidson: Would this also work for curly hair? Mine is curlier in front has a looser curl/wave in the back

Mia Austin: Wow the Haircut Awesome ! Thanks you to shared !

N O: Very good.Thank you .

Bint -E-Abeeha: Great work

Susan Chavez: Is this for professionals? Too fast for me! I love it though! Can I cut my own hair this way? I mean, is it wise to attempt this? Lol Does it have to worn on the side? And can this be done on longer hair?

Gabi Trandafir: Amazing

Melinda Payne: Awesome video!

Jaquosh: So did you do it on purpose to create two different lengths in the front, before you connected them? I missed layers in the back, I really did

Regina Osborn: Love it

Maryam Cobennoordien: how would i cut my own hair? can i follow the same method

Book worm: I cut my sisters hair ... N that was soo cooooll...

Atharva Pawar: Thank you so much sir very nice haircut

Maryam Cobennoordien: i tend to have more hair on teh side than at the back and underneath? how would i compensate fro that

Mickey: The styling looks kinda tangled :( I’m sure it’s a good cut but this doesn’t have great styling..

Whindel & Niña: THANK YOU FOR YOUR PATIENCE IN SHARING YOUR HOBBIES Just want also to share this one to you! Blessings! ️ The second coming of Christ is the blessed hope of the church, the grand climax of the gospel. The Saviour's coming will be literal, personal, visible, and worldwide. When He returns, the righteous dead will be resurrected, and together with the righteous living will be glorified and taken to heaven, but the unrighteous will die. The almost complete fulfillment of most lines of prophecy, together with the present condition of the world, indicates that Christ's coming is imminent. The time of that event has not been revealed, and we are therefore exhorted to be ready at all times.(Matt. 24; Mark 13; Luke 21; John 14:1-3; Acts 1:9-11; 1 Cor. 15:51-54; 1 Thess. 4:13-18; 5:1-6; 2 Thess. 1:7-10; 2:8; 2 Tim. 3:1-5; Titus 2:13; Heb. 9:28; Rev. 1:7; 14:14-20; 19:11-21.
