Little Boy Haircut Tutorial

This cut works well for little boys with straight or mildly wavy hair.

While they’re young, I’m not giving them a super short buzz because I prefer a more carefree, classic, little boy look.

Trimming up the hair around the ears and along the neckline really helps to give it a nice fresh look, and from there I taper out to leave more length on top.

Are you gon na get a hair trim today, yeah, you didn't get a haircut so for a little boy haircuts. I really love to leave it a little bit longer on top I'm just kind of like to get it off their ears and taper it up from the bottom. I do cut both my boys hair differently, because Henry has straight hair. It'S a little bit wavy, but I'm spurgeon s, curly and so I'll. Do another video for Spurgeon's to show how high it is. But Henry's hair used to be curly like Spurgeon's, but the older he's gotten and the more times he's gotten it cut. The curls just haven't stayed around. I don't take clippers and trim here just okay, so here's got his toys here. He'S me playing with these entertained: Hey, okay! This will keep the hair off of you. Are you ready now mommy's? First, I'm gon na use this one. This one's really fun because it goes wrong ready all right, Spurgeon, you build something and show it to Henry wha, while Henry's getting his hair cut cuz, he wants to watch you build something alright. Here we go, I'm building something on both sides, your head straight. He go good job, then they just kind of fade out here. I'M building a small one, that's really long tonight, but I wanted right, then wasn't long, so I'm going because no one does really long. Okay! So yes going outward. We think that, right there you're doing so good, almost done with the Clippers. You see what Spurgeon's building, what is its version? What'S it going to be it's going to be a small one, that's really long and this rescue helicopter, it's a rescue thing. How I don't know, look what I Navy and enemy. Oh, we really like retain the other one. So I'll take this back here and show you you dip your head down. Lay down onto the table got two inches yourself. I made it out. This just helps to give a good, clean necklace, but generally I, like my little boys air to not be just a super short buzz cut all over. That'S why I used to keep her out first again, just going out, maybe like two inches three inches just give that better tighter cut down now, I'm gon na start the scissor cutting. So what I'm gon na do is I'm gon na wet all this down and I'm going to hold my hand out from the head, not parallel but out from the head. So it will keep a little bit more length as we taper and just cut that one or two inches at the bottom and then up over the ears so already Danny main yeah. It is a tiny man, it's already just cleaning up over the ear line. Now I'm gon na start scissor yeah. I like for my boys to have a little bit of a longer little boy, floppy hair. Look I don't like to give them buzz cuts when they're young a little mountain. That'S really sweet Henry spray down all this hair. I got this off Amazon for like a few bucks like two bucks or something so I just wet the hair. What I'm gon na do is I'm gon na take five from the middle of the back of the head. Take a section like this. Usually, I'd have him wearing a cape, but he's trying to play with this toy, so it's just gon na be messy and we're just gon na deal with it, we'll just wash the shirt after we're done. So I take this and I pull out all this hair down to the five guard where I, where I trimmed that, so you can see how it kind of fades in there and then it's longer here lots of angles and we can give you lots of angles. All right and that's it right there and look at the wall over there where Ivy's jumper goes yeah, so I'm gon na take this gon na hold my hand to drop that angle and I'm gon na trim all the way. Oh, don't wiggle, don't wiggle wiggle sit still Henry build a big jet. Tell the next section over do the same thing: Oh holding my hand, there's a slight angle out from the head. I mean it's. My fingers at the bottom are right up against the head. My fingers at the top are probably about an inch out from the head and with Wiggly little toddlers. I try to keep it quick a lot of times. It'S not gon na be exactly precise. I try to keep it, keep it moving along, so we don't have them sitting in the chair longer that it's necessary you're, doing a good job buddy and can do so. You can see my fingers are touching at the bottom and then fanned out at the top. Here so it's probably going to be about two inches long cut on the top and then alright. So now I faded it on the sides and all around the whole head. Now, I'm gon na do the top golfer trimming the top of his hair. I like it to be longer on the front, so it can kind of lay here, but without being in his eyes, so sort of like that um. I don't like when their bangs are just like way up on their head. So something like that. It depends if you were going to be kind of combing it back or spiking it up. We could do it even shorter when they're little they're not going to be styling your hair every day. So it's just naturally going the way down and I just want it out of their eyes but not wearing it's like they don't like short bangs. So I like the baton to be trimmed a little bit shorter and the top a little bit longer. So when we come home and show you how that looks, turn sideways that way just right there. The front of hair right now is about maybe four inches long and the back, probably about three, so the hair is kind of gon na go like this. I usually don't worry in the bathtub in just a minute baby, what they don't like the tunnel, just keeping my hand slightly tilted up it's getting longer towards the front, then usually for the front. I kind of grab and comb this up and then pull it back. So that way, I'm sure not trim off too much. I always tell myself can always take more off straight off how that weighs so Henry. Let'S see how this lays look at mama they're, like Obama, did get in your mouth. That looks to be pretty good. I don't want too much off it's a little bit still in his eyes, so I'm just gon na take the slightest amount off. Ah straight up. Did you get hair in your mouth? Wow want me to get you some some water, okay, Spurgeon! I see the water go, get the water out of the diaper bag quickly, NES Karen's. Now I just comb that down, and that is pretty much it. It'S not very hard. Thank You. Spurge bed he's not working, he should work so the last thing I do get it we're not going sleep, alright stay still, because Mama's gon na do the back here neck. Now I take the trimmers okay and I want to trim the hair over to you. It'S definite I have beanie. So what I do are you singing? We wish you a Merry Christmas. I think kids me, you can see, there's hair still overs, so I'm just going to take this to it. Still. I combed that hair down over here just turn that up so it's not on here it looks a little more clean-cut. I want them to have that little boy carefree look, but at the same time I like them to appear clean-cut black G. Is it pokey? Okay, we're gon na put you in the tug tug sugar muffin. You ready don't want them to wiggle, because they'll have a really nude hair, trying to keep the whole thing from start to finish very messy because I didn't use the Cape again. He was playing a destroys all right, cool, you're, gon na take your picture cap cap you're, getting the tuck tub. I ain't got time, let's take off your clothes over here, so they don't get hair all over the house. No put you in the tub tub yay! You did a good job.

Patty Miles: Jessa - I know that you and Ben must be so very proud of those sweet and excellent sons and daughter that The Lord has blessed you with! Oh my goodness yes they’re precious and innocent little children but one can already see how genuinely loving their little heart is. They are very blessed to have such dedicated and loving parents raising them. Y’all are doing an awesome job having introduced them from the very start to the Lord. They will never depart from it. It’s soooo very refreshing to see such love and dedication being demonstrated to children as to what is truly important in life- and that is the God ordained job of raising a man (2) and little daughter who knows the Lord because of having conscientious parents that purposed in their hearts to teach them the way they should walk. I just wanted to encourage you both and hope that y’all realize that many of us out here on the side lines are cheering y’all onward and upward to the finish line. May The Lord continue to hold you all close to His heart and bless each of y’all. BTW- thank you for sharing your faith.
