You you, hey friends, David Boyd here with the Sambia art team, along with my friend Dan, to show you one more hot tip, really quick on how to really finish up a men's haircut because, like we all know, men's haircutting is all about the details right. So that's what we're going to get into first thing: I'm going to use is going to be our Sam via handle comb. What that's going to allow me to do is to really get control of the sections own work with and then I'm also going to grab our Sam via Signature Series. This is a 6 inch shear we're going to use to finish up Dan's haircut. So what we're going to do, first and foremost, is we're just going to take a look of course, like most guys, Dan's head is going to be a lot more round than it is square right, so I've got a flat surface here in the calm. When I put that comb straight on Dan's head like this, we see that that comb leaves the head up front and that's always going to give me extra length in front. I'M sure you guys have seen a million times. All one of our hair cuts leaves the salon comes back, maybe three four weeks later, and this gets a lot fuzzier and bushier than it needs to then compared to the rest of the haircut. So what we want to do is we want to address this bevel of the head, where the head kind of curves inward towards the eye and we're going to pick up this additional length here and address it really quickly and easily using this handle comb. We'Ve got a couple different options for how we can do this. Imagining first of all that Dan's hair were much longer, I might be working and I'll turn you just a little bit here to the left at this point. If the hair is long enough, I might actually collect it into my fingers to be cut with my fingers flush right on on top of this temple area, to get that excess length off we're working with a little bit of a shorter length. Now so we're going to use the comb instead and at this point I can either come from the front this way and really scoop it up and isolate it. That way, or I could scoop forward and do the same thing depending on how closely I want to trim that hair. I want to get it pretty neat, so I'm going to keep it with the teeth forward towards the face, and at this point I going to come through with this point cut technique just to clean those little bits up, really quick and really easy giving them just A little bit more longevity, a little more softness and cleanliness right here on the front hairline. Now the same thing is going to happen right behind the ear, and this is for most of us we're going to either be stronger with our right hand or with our left and for me, I'm a right-hander. So this area right here has always been an area of a little bit more challenge for me. So I'm going to do the same thing. I'Ve got two options again to use those teeth forward like this or to scoop up, underneath I'm going to address it first, with the teeth forward just coming through to trim this little area up nice and easy get some of that length off and clean that up Now the thing too is, as we look at trend we've seen so many of these haircuts that are very neat, very clean, with a fade or a taper involved and as a counterpoint to that. A lot of these other haircuts that involve length and texture. We'Re going to keep a softer perimeter so the way we can do that is by pinning that hair forward with the teeth of the comb cleaning it up just like you, would either with the trimmer or with this year. But at this point what I've done is create a little bit of a mini one length haircut right here. It can get real heavy two. Three weeks later, we've got a lot of density. Here we have to deal with so the reason I love this handle column is now I can switch my grip, I can come up underneath and I can very lightly section by section release that little corner that I created by pinning the hair forward and just very Lightly point cut and texturize through that area, giving me a nice neat finish to these two contours, beveling that edge off giving it a little bit of softness and cleanliness in a way that's going to make it a lot easier for Dan to deal with at home And definitely give his haircut the legs to last a few weeks or even more before he needs to come in for a trim in those two areas. So, just as a quick recap addressing the shape of the head, giving ourselves a little bit more of a tailored or tidy haircut by addressing those different bevels in front of and behind, to give ourselves a little bit more cleanliness dress things up, give it some durability And make sure that haircuts going to last so thanks for hanging out with us guys love it when you come by watch these videos contribute your comments and questions through our social media.
