What'S up guys david fella here welcome to another tutorial and before we start wondering which everybody happy holidays, merry christmas to those who celebrate and Happy Holidays to all of you, I hope you know you guys had a great day with your families, and I hope you Have amazing on New Year's, so let's start with the video um. The first thing: we're gon na: do we're gon na go ahead and wet the hair, we're gon na section, the top from bottom, just because it kind of makes it a little more organized right here. I realized with time and movie years that the more you section you should be the quicker you finish. The section sometimes can take some time, but at the same time you know it makes everything easier to work like every section, it's easier to just work on the section that you're working next to and things like that, so makes it easier. So anyways, you know start with kind of the back. You can see I'm taking a diagonal section and then I'm pulling it towards me and then, when I'm doing I'm taking a second section pulling it to my first section, cutting whatever is left and then the next thing I'm gon na. Do I'm gon na take another section and I'm gon na pull it to my first section. So pretty much. I'M gon na try and create a triangle on the back, because I'm trying to retain weight towards the middle and I want the sides to be tapered on the back. So that's the reason why I'm kind of like this so pretty much you just taking each section to to the first section I mean, if you understand sorry, I couldn't show that part, because I was uh. The client was watching TV. You know he in child turn miraculous. I cry so anyways right here we're using a two with lever open, which I would never open. Now we are closing the lever and pretty much we are going to the pretty much all the way up to the ridge where the disconnection happens and then we're gon na start down feeling from there. So here we use in a one and a half. Yes - and this does make a one and a half now so before you guys asking yesterday - it's a one and a half remand and he's great yeah - it's really good! So here we closed in the lever and we continue reading down. You can see I'm not going as high as highest and anymore as I was going before. We'Re number two, so you know you skip that in mind and on the back, and you can see I'm following that, guy, that created with scissors because remember we're trying to keep it or like in the training wheel on the back. So here I'm using number 1 or 1/8 and do the same thing. We just down feeding lever open first and then we closing it little by little and then you know that's pretty much we're doing we as every as every time we closed the lever, our strokes. Don'T go, you know dead low, worry, we don't watch high anymore and that's pretty much. What down feeding means right so, instead of them making guides we just kind of fade in down it. I used. I used this thinking about with kids just because for me, it's easier and quickly to finish a hercule this and sometimes with kids. You know that tastes are moving in. You know the start. You know talking and moving and making noises, and you know jumping and all the other stuff, so we're gon na finish fast, so well here, if I can make it my first guideline to say, like that, it's gon na be a mystery tremor. You can use a zero, your machine or most of the time I use the Supra for this step with the five zeros but decline kind of like doesn't like the machine. So that's one needs my tremor, so yeah so but anyway, so here I'm just holding out the line, but you can see I'm following the head shape. This is the point guys remember to always follow the head shape and all clients tell you. I want yes, but sometimes a high fee. It'S not gon na look best for them. So you it's your job to let that client know if, after you explain to them, why maybe a midfielder a low fare will be better for their head shape and the type of hairstyle they want. If you still want to get a high fade, that's up to them! You already you did your job, explain to them. What would look best if they don't want to take your advice, then that's that's one them so here I'm using a zero or a 1/16. I think on wall is a half so, and this is gon na help me blend from the one to the skin right. So we some people, don't use this card. You said not all the time, but I use it you - and this is yet. This is gon na help me blend from doubt. One would deliver close to the zero that I created with the trimmer after you are done with the with a non zero, then you're gon na go ahead and use your machine with a lever open and then you're. Sorry, gon na start closing that lever a little by little until then, a skin line line kind of disappears right. That guy disappears um. You know like this is kind of one of those things that if you have to kind of play with it, you know with the lever like open it close it. You know like and use the corners of the trimmer or that other clipper in this case, and this is gon na help you erase the line and use the mirror, always use the mirror. If you don't, it's gon na help you and see. If, if there's anything missing, if the gradient that you try to create from like light to dark, it's it's nice or there's lines in between there, it's kind of breaking that the fluidity of the of the fade right. So it's important to use your mirror or take a step back, take a step back and look at from a little further and see if it changes as you can see something like a dark spots or things like that. Sometimes I helped me a lot to be able. Oh, I see if the field is looking, how I wanted to look, or is this still like dark spots? Okay, so now we can go ahead and wet the top and then we're gon na section. That'S happening to three parts. I call these two maja, the Mohawk section, so pretty much we're gon na cut the Mohawk part first and then we're going to use that as a guide to cut the holders, though the pan out the other sides. So pretty much. We do with divide into three and then we're gon na. Take the middle section. That'S going to be our first guide, then what we're gon na do from there we're gon na cut our cutting line. It'S going to be a square pretty much following. You know like I can explain to you guys off the wall. The ceiling the floor right, so we're gon na create a square shape. This is important so pretty much you pull everything up following the floor. This is gon na give us a square shape because remember the head is a round shape so we're trying to create a square shape on the top, so pretty much use the floor as a guide to how to pull the hair so anyways. Now we finish that section: we're gon na take another vertical section: we're gon na bring that section towards our first and then we're gon na cut. Make sure you follow your guide me show. You can see your guide if you don't see your guide. That means that you took up too much eye too big of a section. Then you have to take a smaller section. Then here we're taking another section and we move in that section towards our previous guide and we do them to we're rather hair to say light down the top and oh until the head of Stars. Rounding then that's when we stop remember. This is gon na, be an undercut, so in this case we are gon na run out of hair, because the hair disconnected so though the hair is super short, so anyway, guys we're gon na cut the second panel, but before we cut the second panel, this double-check, This cross-check this and make sure that it's good, so you're gon na do you're gon na take horizontal sections and then with the horizontal sections, it's gon na help us see. If you know, if it's even or not, this is always is a very important that you cross check. I mean you know, I know some people don't do it, but you know it's one of those things that you know. If you have a client that is paying you for a good haircut and you know and like he's coming to you because you are a professional, then it's a bother. You take the extra you know two seconds to cross check your work. Make sure that is it's great right, you don't want the client to go home and have like some hair is longer than others and the shape to not be even, and then you know when the chart style you here there here is not gon na, be isn't Gon na start easily how it should so always remember to cross-check your work, because they may be guys. It makes you a better barber because a lot of barbers don't do it. So if you do it, you're ready what you're doing way better than once we're done with cutting the tab that we're going to do we're going to texture of the top. But before that I like trying to hair like the head to be fully dry before I texture the hair. The only exception will be if I'm going to use like a razor to texture, the hair, in this case I'm using my shears so yeah make sure you hear the hairs fully dry. Also, it lets me just to see, but it let me see like if there's anything I need to change or if the shape is right. Also, let me see how the haircut is looking. You know, because it's gon na be great, almost style to say like that. So I always like to like dry the hair, so pretty much. What I do is I go by by just touching the hand see what needs to be done to it right. So in this case, we create a lot of texture on top ears, because it's the type of hairstyle that we're doing it's gon na have a lot of like peaks and valleys, and it's gon na have a lot of a lot of movement. You know a lot of a lot of different separation in the hair, so we want to create that right, so the technique I chose for this to try to my hairstyle. It'S gon na be a point D point: cutting technique right, there's many techniques to texture, hair and each technique will give you kind of like different result to say like that. So you got ta know which they need to use for same haircuts or certain hair types. So, in this case, he the click line - he has thick hair. So what I'm doing I'm touching the hair and trying to see where it's really thick, then I'm kind of texturing that part a little bit more than other parts are in a steak and then pretty much. What I'm doing I'm pulling the hair up 90 degrees and then I'm going in with my shears like pretty much like very cool, exactly how I'm taking the section. So the hair is going up, I'm putting there I'm going with my shears in just like that. If the hair go into the side and I'm following that direction, right so make sure that you follow this ratio where the hair is going, because if now that you're gon na create a whole, the you know really texture and the hair. Do you read you changing the structure of the haircut, so this very point that you are very careful with this. I mean how you can see. I do a fast because I've been doing this for a long time, but if you new to this, make sure you take your time because also you can cut you yourself so make sure you know you you're being careful with this and I make sure you're not Texturing here that I saw very thin, because if the hair so great thing, then this might not be the best technique for it all like fine hair, because what you're gon na do you're gon na make it extra finer and it's it's not gon na - be a Good look so just make sure that you are careful, you understand what you're doing and you're just not just cutting and cutting and cutting kind of for no reason just because you saw somebody on YouTube or needs to Ram the way. You know, because I I get a lot of questions people ask me. Oh I saw this and YouTube. I'Ve been doing everybody and some people like it complain about this. I was like yeah because that might not be the right technique for that. One pear study trying to do now that we fully tried to hear how you can see so Rika are taking texture without any product or anything, and so now we're gon na add a little bit of a matte finished product. You don't want to add too much to it, because that's why I like the blow-dryer I did and all the texture that you add it, so you want a little bit of it. So what I'm gon na do now. I'M gon na use my texturizing shears. All blending shears spawn disguises, in this case texturizing shears, I'm using them to kind of like kind of blend, a little bit at size and kind of lining up the sides a little bit yeah. You should use this suppose used for this technique only and unuseful for the top I've barely ever use over the top. I just use it to kind of line up a little bit the dark spots in my face, so this is pretty much how it looks. I think he looks great. He has so much movement, so much texture and he's gon na be super easy for the client to style the mornings. Obviously, the clients prompted to do it so anyway, guys that was a video hope. It was very useful. Many of you have been asking me how to text your hair, so here is one technique of many that I'm gon na teach you guys. So I hope you enjoyed the video, don't forget to subscribe and like it and leave me a comment below take care.

Rhonda Love: As always, on point advice. Great cut service. Blessed and happy holidays to your and your fam, Mr Falla! Thanks for the awesome tutorial.

Breanna Gardner: I’m a new cosmetologist. I know barbering and cosmetology are different. I feel like I learned so much from you and I love your professionalism and attitude

Don S: Awesome work. Literally 9 out of 10 'stylists' CAN NOT do this type of texturing, properly, to men's hair.

Philip Plowman: I always cross-check. It's also nice to see another barber, esp one who's style and skills I admire, using a center profile guide on the layering. People look at me like I'm crazy sometimes for that but I guess it's the cosmetologist training

guccimane: Hey David Falla great videos man but can just ask for a favor, next time you do another tutorial and it involves clipper over comb or shear over comb instead of facing the camera towards the client are you able to position the camera in front of the client facing him so we can be able to see from that view how close is the comb to the head when you begin shear over comb also how much hair is sticking out the comb if you can please that would really help so we can just see the motion of the comb and shears from a different angle thank you. My name is Jose I'm from Chicago, been haircutting as a hobby Ina future I want to take it more serious and well id love to learn about shear cutting more thanks.
