CHEAPEST HAIRCUT IN NEW YORK!
Chinatown, Manhattan, New York City
I have walked by this basement barbershop with the $6 haircut sign many times. I had always wanted to try it out, but I was nervous what kind of buzz haircut I would get. Today, I satisfied that curiosity.
I asked female barber Chen to take a little off the sides and the back. She ended up giving me a close fade haircut all around. Lady Barber Chen used a razor, hair dryer, hair brush, hairspray. She gave me the slick-back hairstyle she felt I wanted.
All my friends have been too nervous to try out the cheap Chinatown barbers also, except for one friend. He friend told me that he went to one of these cheap Chinatown barbershop, but it turns out it really wasn't as cheap as the sign said... In the middle of the haircut the barber asked if he wanted him to use scissors to cut the top -- it would be double the price.
This place didn't try that... They didn't have the chance, since I turned down cutting the top of my hair. So, who knows...
I had a great haircut experience. I was in and out in 10 minutes. Chinese female barber, Chen, gave me a no-nonsense men's haircut -- and I can't complain. Very recommended.

Six dollars looks like it used to say five dollars, but you know it's pandemic time, so they changed the five to be a six. I love this kind of stuff. Let'S go, try it out. I already went down and asked them what time they closed. They said. Seven o'clock, i'm gon na ask for the six dollar special bayer street is an awesome. Little foodie street highly recommended to come here great food up and down the street. Now, let's go down and try this place out. They closed in one hour, hello! Thank you. All in all that was a ten dollar haircut with the tip um, but the six dollar haircut is real totally real. I was worried. I didn't think it was real. I thought it was like some elusive six dollar haircut that that nobody gets but take a look at it. MarlinMR7: Pretty darn good cut for in essence $10 including the tip Jason! Went in a looking a little wild and came out looking much better. The only thing I question is regardless of license is sanitation wise as I noticed a lot of cutting instruments were in cups and such that did not look clean @ all when the camera passed over them and then the straight edge was just laying around - not in barbercide or otherwise plus no changing of the blade. Same with scissors. Hopefully you did not take anything home with you so to speak.... Next time though - or one of the next times if conditions permit - would be cool to get back to "Barber Day" back in Mexico! Have seen a couple of videos of her cutting others hair besides yours and not matter what the video her very outgoing always happy/laughing is the star of each video so hope more to come later! Jorge Rego: As per the price list the services they offer are cheaper for men than woman 男 (nan) is male/man 女(nu) is woman/female. If i were to guess the language they were speaking i would guess cantonese but not 100% sure but the program they were watching was in mandarin and judging by her name she's from mainland china and what she said after the haircut was 很帅 (hen shuai) which is mandarin for very handsome so putting all this together I would say if what they were speaking was indeed cantonese then she is from southern china guangdong province which is the part of mainland china where cantonese is widely spoken along with mandarin.
