How does style the hottest hairstyle of 2021, the curtain bangs. Hi? Ladies it's Erin and welcome back to my channel today.. I am so excited because I'm talking about hair., It's one of my favorite topics.. I don't know why. I don't talk about it more. I really love to do hair. I love talking about hair.. If you missed it, I did do a video talking about how you can kind of anti-age your hair and make it look thicker make it look. Shinier. We'll put a link to that below.. So if you're like, how does Erin grow her hair so fast, How does Erin have such thick hair. That is how., Go watch that video after this one and you'll get all your answers., I think about once a year I feel like bored with my hair, and I need to do something different., So you guys may remember that a couple of years ago I did the long lob I did it really long to start with.. Then I went back to the hairstylist and I said I want it shorter.. So then we went just under the jaw line and then I was like I want to grow it back out., So I started growing it back out and then I was like I want to do bangs., So I'm always evolving. My hair. Also the color.. So I was very, very very blonde. And then I said I want it to be more of an ombre effect.. So this is all my natural color on top.. I'M only doing highlights now., I'm just trying to keep it a lot more natural. And I'm noticing that it feels a lot healthier. A lot bouncier a lot lighter., So the curtain bags were kind of spontaneous. Talked to my hairstylist said. I want the curtain bangs. You know - and I asked her a lot of questions. Like: are they easy to style? What'S the deal blah blah blah she's like if you're gon na do bangs of any kind? These are the easiest bangs to style., And I agree with that 100 %. I actually find them to be very easy. And also, I think that they might make it easier in general to do my hair.. I also like how they cover a little more of my face.. I feel like it's more youthful.. It frames the face and the eyes., And it's just a really pretty cool look., It's also very edgy and modern.. So I feel like, if you're looking for something new and fresh, this is a great way to go about it. That feels pretty safe, still. Like you're, not going bananas and doing a full like bob or you know some shorter or shaved in the back and short in the front like it's, it's pretty tame. And, like I said very simple, very like busy woman-friendly. And this video. I want to show you three really simple, fast ways that I style my curtain bangs.. These are the three go-to's.. I will say that the Dyson Air Wrap for me is traditionally where I go to first. And that's the first style. I'M gon na show you. And then the second two are using a round brush and just a regular hairdryer.. You can also try a flat iron.. You could also try a flat brush if you want less volume here and flatter on the top like that.. There are a lot of different things you can do., But in this video I'm going to show you with the Dyson air wrap and also with just a regular hairdryer and run brush.. So usually, my hair is all wet and I would have just gotten out of the shower and I would leave this part wet and pin it back and then immediately do the bangs and then do the rest of the hair.. The rest of my hair is already dry., So that's just to expedite things.. I do have the Dyson Air Wrap, which I really like to use for the bangs., I'm using the smaller wand. I think it's about an inch., I'm gon na switch them depending on the side. ( upbeat, music ). This is how I do my curtain bangs. If I want a full like Farrah, Fawcett thing.. I usually take the second piece too, and I will do the same. Thing. And then the rest of it, I just do regular wand, curls., (, upbeat music ). Once I finished up air wrapping the bangs, then I would pin these back and then I would dry the rest of the hair., But since the rest of my hair's already dry, I'm gon na pull it out.. So here's where I could add some extra curl in here if I want it to really match this.. This is one way that I would do my bangs., And this is the most Farrah Fawcetty, the most 70's. I would just leave the bangs like this and then I would wand-curl the rest of the hair.. I want to show you another way. I do the bangs, and that is with the round brush. You blow the heat up and away just so you get a little bit of a lift, there. And see. I pull it away and then back this way., So it created that little swoop.. Let'S do the other side. ( upbeat music ). This is just a more chill bang. And then I would round brush the rest.. So just it has a little volume and body, but it still looks really natural.. It'S just very like healthy, looking and light and breezy.. Okay, I'm gon na show you one more simple way to style your curtain bangs using the round brush. ( upbeat music ). I want it to have a little bit of volume here, so I'm pulling it away and up slightly and putting some heat on the metal of the brush. ( upbeat music, ). Now: here's where, if you wanted to do a side sweep this, would be really pretty with the curtain bang. You would just have to use a little spray to kind of get it to stay over to the one side.. I could leave it like this super pretty, but I'm gon na part it in the middle.. This is better. If you have shorter curtain bangs, I think, but it gives it that kind of piecier look. And now I'm gon na go back in and just kind of flip it. ( upbeat music ). This is a very similar look, but it just the bangs are kind of slightly more pronounced and out, and I feel like it looks a little more just a little sassier. And you can put a little spray just to make sure your bang stay in place.. I kind of went through four ways to wear your curtain. Bangs.. You know you also. Obviously you could put it up.. I love to do half up with the curtain. Bang I think it's so pretty.. You have options there. You could do the side sweep.. You can do the really kind of curly Farrah, Fawcetty, wavy ones, or the straighter ones like the ones. I have right now, but a little bit of volume up here or just the traditional round. Brush., You have options with your curtain bangs.. The other thing is: if you keep them this long, the way I have them right now just haven't been to the hairstylist in a while.. But if you keep him this long, you can make them disappear.. So I can very easily pull my hair half back and just do something like that to where they're gone. or I could do something like this and the bangs are pretty much gone.. You have options. It's not like you're locked into the bangs, all the time.. For me, this hairstyle has been one of my all-time favorites.. I love it and I don't see me switching it anytime soon.. If you've been thinking about it, it's been swirling around your brain. And you're. Like I don't know, if I can do it., I say: go for it.. ShellTay32: I spontaneously got curtain bangs about 3 weeks ago while getting my first real haircut (like many people) in over 15 months. I also really like them. I have wavy hair and crazy cowlicks around my face and bangs are usually a disaster. Since turning 50 I have grown my hair very long and either leave it naturally curly or with a long wand. I always get compliments every time I go out. I think the point is making an effort.
