Aveda How-To | Festive Short Hair Pinned Up Hairstyle

http://www.aveda.com/product/5290/1698... Get ready to celebrate a special occasion with a classic twist on an up-do for short hair. In this hair tutorial, Aveda Artist Alyssa Caloiero creates a pinned up hairstyle for straight, curly, or wavy short hair with Aveda Light Elements Texturizing Creme for a shiny, enhanced look.

Try out this up-do look for hair longer than chin length. Divide hair into 3 sections at the back of the head. Depending on the texture of the hair apply Air Control Hair Spray if slippery, Light Elements Texturizing Creme if wavy or curly, or apply Light Elements Smoothing Fluid to tame fly-a-ways on coarse hair. Hold each section in place with an elastic slightly above the hairline. If your hair is long enough, tie sections together with bobby pins to create the illusion of hair being up. If your hair is shorter, secure random sections up with a bobby pin.
