The Easiest Half Up Half Down Hairstyle Ever!!!

Hey guys, it's Jackie and welcome back to my channel, so for today's video I just wanted to share a quick and easy hairstyle that you guys can do whether your hair is freshly washed and clean, or whether your hair is a little bit dirty like mine. This is a day old hair, so I washed my hair yesterday. I actually went to the salon yesterday and got my roots touched up. So today is day one of me not washing my hair, and this is kind of what my hair looks like waking up. These are just um kind of loose curls that I had from the previous day. So I'm going to show you guys what I do to style my hair and get this super quick and easy half-up half-down, simple hairstyle! So if you guys are interested, then just keep on watching. So, like I mentioned in the beginning, this is what my hair looks like waking up after going to the salon the day before so yesterday, I went to rinse salon in the North Park area of San Diego, and I saw Tiffany who has been doing my hair For the longest time, she's the one that really helped me maintain this blonde hair and she's just she's just amazing. So if you guys aren't following Tiffany or if you're looking for a hairstyles, I highly recommend her I'll leave her info in the description box. For you guys, so she just did my hair yesterday and I had these soft and beachy waves when I left the salon and then I just slept on my hair - and this is this - is what it looks like waking up in the morning. So um I'm just gon na quickly brush through my hair, just to kind of get any knots and tangles out and the brush I use is I mean this is kind of gross. Actually, you know what that's rude of me. I should rip all this out before showing you my brush, so the brushes that I use is the wet brush. This is the best brush ever this brush is just so gentle and I love it. I love it and if you have microbead extensions, this is going to be a lifesaver, although we already have texture in our hair. You don't have to do this next step, but I want to just kind of redefine some of these waves, so I'm going to take instyler ceramic woven, curling iron. I don't know if that's the exact name off the top of my head I'll, have it listed and linked below for you guys if you're interested, but this is just a clipless curling wand, and what I like about this curling wand is that it has this kind Of like this band or this threading layer, on top of the ceramic curling wand, to protect your hair, so it's not getting direct heat onto your hair. So it's not like burning and damaging your hair. I mean using any kind of Hot Tools is going to be damaging regardless, but the technology - and this has been designed in a way so that the heat is not directly touching your hair. Something like that. I went to the launch party for this event. So that's why I got to learn a little bit about it, but um. I think it's really cool and it's really awesome and just super easy to use. So that is all time using today, I'm just going to take a few pieces and hold them for a few seconds around the curling wand and then release. So we have a little bit of texture and you don't have to do this to all the hair. You can just do it to some of the hairs just so it looks a little more defined and I'm keeping the ends out. That'S just going to give it a more natural kind of toss. Old, beachy. Look! So just something like that. I literally did like maybe five or six pieces on the side melt it so we're just going to do the same to this side. So now that we have this texture and this wave in our hair, I'm going to turn you guys around and I'll show you guys how we achieve this half of hair style. So I'm going to use my thumbs and go right behind my ear and gather up two sections of hair one on each side and I'm just using my thumb and my index finger to section those out and then I'm going to meet the two sections in the Back and secure it with a clear elastic now, once I have that done, I'm going to take this little ponytail that we just created and I'm going to create a little pocket at the top and flip the ponytail through one time, and that is going to give Us this really cool loop to this half up, half down hairstyle and then holding on to the hair elastic I'm going to gently tug at the hair to loosen it up and give it a little more volume and texture. So now here is what the hairstyle looks in the front and I always like to pull hair down, because I have my bangs on this side, so I want to have some hair framing this side of my face as well. You can pull the rest of your hair forward like this or leave it in the back really doesn't matter. That'S all up to you and the final step is to just add a little bit of oil. This is a dry oil from Brazilian Blowout. Don'T ask me the difference between a regular hair oil and a dry oil. I don't really know, but I got this for my hairstyles - I'm just going to take a pump of this and I'm just going to work this on the end of my hair. That'S just because the ends get very dry, so I like to just freshen them up nourish those ends, and there you have it this really quick and easy half up half down hairstyle.
