Do did you do hello to all my hair besties in the land today's a special day, I'm here with my hair, bestie, Nora hi, guys so she's been my friend for awhile and today we're going to talk about thermal styling and metallic colors. So we made some swatches right. No, we did. We had fun. Okay, so take a look at this color. This is pretty. This is violet metallic with violet booster, so, okay, so the situation is most people turn to iron. On way too high, you can adjust the temperature to lower and I think that a lot of people's been saying like oh the color, doesn't last Reds. Doesn'T last silver color doesn't last. Why don't you have that situation? We have to tell the clients what they need to do for longevity. So would you do the honor of holding this here? Let'S solve it this way, so they could kind of see actually like that. I know my hand up here. Yes, yes, and bring it we'll bring the camera a little closer. Okay, take a look at this guy, so we have it on to 400° and look what happened when the fly line touches silver, hair? Okay. So I'm going to count to three four five. Look at that the mind blown mind, blowing right, the color change. That'S the problem! Right people turn their iron on way too hot and the water and their showers way too hot, yes, and their blow-dryer right in there blow dryers and even our clients, they cram up the heat super high and they ruin all of our hard water. That'S true! So it kind of goes: okay, don't take such hot showers right, especially when you have fashion colors and because a lot of people say: oh the color, doesn't last it phase. That'S the situation, not only if you have to use the color, safe, shampoo and conditioner, and maybe try not to shampoo your hair way too often and also thing about the temperature of the heat styling tools, whether it's a curling iron, a curling wand, a flat iron. I mean look at that: let's try it one more time. Yeah, like literally like look one two. Three, that's three second sanity right. Could you imagine, like the heat, just destroy this beautiful color? Well, let's see what happens to when we do it on we're fun. Colors. Okay, let's do this one this one, it's like kind of like a bronzy type of color, so guys get to see the tone. Okay, let's see what happens to disco, there's some crap on there. Oh well, we'll ignore it. Okay! So take a look at this color. Okay, one two three, four: five, oh do! Oh, my god, it's gone, the color is literally gone. Okay, let's do four three seconds now, let's see what happens, and this is for hunt degrees, one two, three, that's three seconds: okay, so let's try it for one. Second one, so do you guys see amazing, build it? A difference made a huge difference. So this is now five seconds. Three seconds two seconds is still fade, whether you're swiping down. Let'S try swipe it. It looks like the cat's tail from Alice in Wonderland you're, causing splotchiness. That'S that's it situation. Have you noticed that, like a lot of clients turn their iron are so high, they do they think if it's not at the highest level, it's not working and it's not doing anything to your hair. But it is it's frying out your color, and this is just one time just one time imagine if they keep doing it over and over again they're destroying their hair fall. You know what I'm kind of curious about is red, so we made some red swatches as well, so Nora. Would you hold that so, let's see what happens to rags Ariel red. This is this is Ariel red. Okay, let's do 5 seconds. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. Ok, look is turning cut. Orange goes. Do 3 seconds. 1. 2. 3. You see that color change. So that's a huge problem, guys whether you're red, whether you're silver, the color change - I mean. Obviously, we've been playing with color all night and day, because we've been testing to see how colors can change in the blink of an eye I mean literally, we create striping all over the place. These are not even these are normal colors yeah. Some of them are permanent and something or demi-permanent, so it shows you listen, you guys, aren't baking turkey or on Thanksgiving or you don't say no exact. That'S what the temperature used to bake like to roast like my poultry and cook, my steak. Well, even at that, like I wouldn't want to cook a brownie on such high heat because you burn it, you know I'm saying you wanted to stay moist, you want them. You know I'm saying yes, so I think that's the thing like there's different temperatures for different things, like obviously the high temperatures for coarse hair, that's probably not colored, and over time it can even fade your natural color and that's why you see a lot of color Gets brown or blonder as it phase because of the high temperature. It can actually lighten your natural color too, with high heat. So with that being said, if you bleach your hair and color it like this, look how it fades guys look. So I think we all learn something from this right now. Absolutely it's definitely something I want my clients to see. I want to have a swatch like that and show my clients why it's so important to not use such high key on your hair. Look, we got another swatch or you kind of curious about what happened to this one yeah. I wonder what it I feel like it's going to turn pink. I feel like that see. Okay, so I'll hold this up. I'M kind of excited really pretty good. We don't know what's going to happen. Okay is one of those we don't know moments: okay, 1. 2. 3. 4. 5, oh well, not as much, but it's still it's still. There still faded, but Wow. Even the little reddish color outlast the metallics here. So it shows you that this did fade a little bit, but it depends on the dyes guys. We find that doesn't matter what brand you use. It was a blonde silver shade. Everything is vulnerable to fading, especially when you have to bleach in and tone that when you blow-dry the hot heat you got ta be very careful use heat protection, try not to blow dry too high of a heat or too often, if you get too air giant. That'S probably a better option: oh my god. Chlorine right, the devil. Don'T you get me started with chlorine? You know. I explain this to my clients of the heat with their hair. I relate it to their skin, like the steam opens up the pores in your face. So the he opens up the cuticle in your hair shaft and that's what flushes out the color. So you don't want to put so much heat on your hair, like we wouldn't put it on your face. Absolutely think about like how cold water close your pores, think about how cold wan na keep the dye molecules in that the high temperature, no bueno right, good hot, is good, but not for him not for him. So we hope you guys learned something from this video and know it's a short one and I'm gon na leave some links below. So you can stop Nora and you can follow me on my facebook, periscope Instagram and Twitter, all the good stuff Pinterest. You know and give me a thumbs up and definitely subscribe and be a hair bestie like haha yeah and like yeah, that's important, but you guys look. I got my braces off finally end.

Morgan Joyce: at 6:30 Guy's like "I got my braces off and I'm feelin maself" hahaha loves it

Sally M.: At least I now know how to remove dye in 3 seconds

Alyssa Ryun: That was so eye opening! I'm very guilty of using the highest heat setting on my flat iron, and I watched it just in time before I style my hair for work in the morning. Thank you! P.S. love your new smile! :)

Mnemerii: Thanks for educating me on this, never knew that heat affects the colour. I got my hair coloured magenta, maybe it was obvious but my colorist never told me. :/

DestielPhancake: I've had the second swatch colour in the past and I always made sure to turn my flat iron and shower temperature way down. It lasted a very long time and I'm glad I did it. This video is great guy because other people won't have their colour fading and then being confused about it.

Fabbie Ramirez: Yes, please do more videos of hair tips and tricks! I would love to get your expert insight on: - Good heat protectant products - Benefits/drawbacks of using keratin products for colored hair - Best hair tools (hair dryers, curling irons, flat irons, and curling wands) - Best hair products for frizz/colored hair/curly hair/thin hair/thick hair

Epic _GamerZ: Hey guy! I really love your videos and think they're super helpful to me, I think it'd be very beneficial if you were to inform us with more hair cutting tricks and techniques. Thank you for another wonderful video I look forward to seeing more

Christy V: My husband has thick curly hair and we were wondering why it was changing from dark chocolate brown to red recently. We started straightening his hair around twice a month. Thank you for this video.

Michelle Serrano: This was such a good video and I'm happy you made it because we all need to know what we can change in our hair routine. I appreciate this a lot guy tang!

Stephanie Smiles: Crazy how heat damages the hair to that extent! I enjoy these hairstyling tips! Keep doing them!

Reagan Shealey: I dyed my hair magenta new years eve and it's nearly March and it's still pretty vibrant! We left a lot of my natural color in for low lights, so there a bit of brown peeking through but what we bleached is basically the same as what it looked like when I first dyed it. I was simply instructed to not use products with sulfate in them. So not only did I follow that bit of advice, I literally will not allow my hair to touch hot water, so I wash it with cold water and I let it air dry. I style it every other day or so mostly depending on how I style it. I'm really surprised with how long my colors lasted and the only problem I had was that when I first got it, it bled on to EVERYTHING lol

Ina: Thank you for all the videos and the great tips that you gave us !!!! Now, a pretty hard homework (if you can make a video with that would be great): TARGET: Silver (no blue or violet shades - maybe just on the roots) ACTUAL HAIR: (NATURAL HAIR COLOUR: BROWN LEVEL 4) Bleached with 12% all hair --> arrived to BLONDE level 9. (Had light blue semi-perm all over for a long time, but for now all blue is gone by it self). On top of this, it has meches (perm dye) brown level 4 and meches brown level 6-7. What can i do to get to silver (uniform) and in how many steps? (With Olaplex and Pravana bleach and vivids) (i am pretty sure this is not a hard theme for you, since i saw you doing harder cases). Thank you again for everything ! And GOODLUCK ! :D

Katherine Ducas: I had that bright Ariel red color and I washed my hair twice a week with cold water and color protectant shampoo and conditioner and rarely ever used heat and it stayed bright for at least a month and a half and started really fading two months in

Courtney Mathews: Thank you for making this video Guy. I used Kenra 8 and 10 sm in the permanent line and had this issue and had no idea what happened or what was happening. I had gotten my hair the perfect shade and styled it and ruined all the hard work. Thank you for this video :)

Courtney Krystina: Thank you so much for this video!!! I do the absolute minimum heat styling with my hair, but I'm going to be even more cautious.. Water temp etc. as I transition for silvery.

Heather Myra: Wow! Thank you so much for sharing. I'm constantly changing my hair color (literally almost every color lol). This is very good to know :) Great work you two.

April Noble: Congratulations on those beautiful teeth! I love your videos they have helped me so much! I've learned more this past year watching your videos than in all the 13 years I've been doing hair! So thank you! What products (mostly shampoos and conditioners) do you recommend to clients to use to preserve their vivid colors??

Guy Tang: Hello my #Hairbesties, do you like to see more helpful hair tips and tricks videos like this? Let me know what topics you wanted me to discuss?

Cheri Noble: This really explains a lot. Back when my hair was bright purple it'd fade to this violet-toned brown color within a week and a half. I was confused because I only washed it every third day (with dry shampoo in between) and I eventually gave up. Wish I would've had this video available back then!

Janie McMahan: I really think it depends on the color and your hair "chemistry" with it. I've been getting "peacock hair" as I call it, with purple, blue, and teal. The blue and teal fade out soooooo fast, even with using cold water and minimal heat, but the purple just latches to my hair and barely fades. I've heard of a lot of people with those same types of colors that have the opposite problem. I love bright colors, but it's so much maintenance that I think I'm going to go more natural next time, just so I can enjoy hot water again lol. Anytime I get brown and blonde I can take really hot showers and those colors don't fade as long as I use color safe shampoo.

ItzEJae: Thanks Guy and Noora for the education! Always wondered why hair color never lasts and now we can clearly see why and how to prevent!

Sammara Sly: hello, guy! I'm curious to know the last rasberry-ish color swatch. I would appreciate if you answer! Btw you do an amazing job! My dream is to get my hair done by you, my hair bestie

Janet: It would be very helpful to see this effect on blonde toned hair, low lights, ie what most women get done at the hairdresser. Very interesting and very helpful! Thank you!

mhudson2511: Hey Guy! So I've done crazy colors for the last few years, and recently I went to a salon for the first time to get my hair colored. They bleached it and then added in a blue to pink melt. Normally, blues and pinks last me at least 3 weeks, but this time the color was almost completely gone in six DAYS!!! I only wash my hair in ice cold water, and I waited four days to wash(I was told less washing means less fading). I didn't even use any heat styling tools on it. So I'm curious if you have any advice for that type of situation. Thanks in advance!!

zm my: if your hair is breaking on the ends, how do you stop that from happening? love you and your videos! thanks in advance :)

Valkyrja: This is insane!!! I am curling my new red hair at 380! Thank you so much!!

Elenore Jones: When you're black or mixed with black you don't necessarily have the option of using flatirons and blowdryers on a super low setting when you want your hair to do what's not natural for it, especially after dying it but...ok

Delithril: Omg you really are a hair bestie!!! I am making some swatches for our shop ASAP!!! Now we know what to say when our clients lose their lowlights so fast. Stop the heat madness!

MyCocoRocks: I recently died my hair brunette and I don't tend to straighten my fringe unless it dried weird, but I do straighten the rest of my hair… this explains why my fringe is darker than the rest of my hair and the highest temp on my straighteners is 220C! Thank you Guy for making this because it was really confusing me!

Zoe: I quit using heat in my hair (for the most part) and my hair takes forever to fade. It's awesome.

Gillian: Oh my gosh this is so perfect I'm literally dyeing my hair bright red in two days so this was perfect thank you

Ro355: Great advise!!! Never knew this! Thank you so much!

Nora: This is so helpful. I just had my hair done a week ago and I straighten my hair very often. Gonna try it with low heat and see if the color will last longer!

YinYangSara: Something as simple as straightening your hair, you wouldn't think would fade the hair color so quickly! Definitely SUPER thankful you shared this! This is why I love you Guy Tang! So committed, I love it!

Adriana Ruiz: Guy i would love to see a tutorial from you, showing the last color like magenta purplish red, its amazing and ive been trying so hard to get this color on my clients but i havent get a tone that im satisfied with, love your work, and love you even more greetings from Mexico, xoxo

Rey: I almost NEVER go over 250 degrees when I straighten my hair, especially when it's dyed, and everyone tells me I should be going into the 300s or even 400s... that's insane... I get the same result with less heat plus less damage and longer lasting hair color.

Evy Heart: Which temperature is the best? What means "too hot" and what would be ok? So please: Next time, more info in less time :-)

Lauren Hlavaty: I adore the shadow root that you normally do when coloring hair but I was wondering about doing that when someone's natural hair color is pretty light I know you did the shadow root on Mykie, but wouldn't that make for an even worse contrast when it comes to regrowth? anyway I love your videos and you inspire my creativity <3

Julie Gillett: this makes so much sense now...I wondered why my bangs were fading so much faster than the rest of my hair. a lot of the time I straighten my bangs since my hair is naturally curly and now I understand why it fades so fast

Frenchie Gurl617: I love your smile in this video Guy!! Thanks for making this video, it's something I'm going to use as a reference when clients ask me about their hair color fading!!

Lily Bug: This may be an older-ish video. But I recently dyed my hair purple and I really needed this! Thanks Guy Tang <3

ren shelby: oh my god. your hair bestie looks like if mila kunis and Beyoncé had a baby

Kyla and Addy: This video was really helpful! I'm getting my hair dyed Pink next weekend and I'm trying to find out how long I can keep the hair to the color!

JR Eiram: I have fine hair but lots of it with waive texture . I plan to dye my hair with fashion colors soon (done by a professional of course). What temperature do you recommend to use with my curling wand and straightener? By the way, love and admire your work +GuyTang!

Maria Nilsson: Best tip ever! I just wished that I had watched this video this morning since I accidently gave myself a nice emoisch dip dye by using the straightener on too high temperature... oh well the things you learn. Love your channel!

mia carolina: im going to dye my hair maroon or red. i have curly hair and i really like straightening my hair. how do i straighten my hair without ruining the color??

Samanths Gosa: That was a very helpful video. I watch a lot of you and I would love to see more videos like this one. I try to explain this to my clients and they think I am crazy. to be honest it is common sense. So now I have proof!!! thank you again.

Elisabeth Blackwood: I never heat style my hair, or blow it dry and I wash twice a week in Luke warm water. My hair is a deep red, like red velvet cake. I get some fading, but I lose very little color. If I want curls, I put it rollers while wet and sleep on it.

heyheyitsFaeFae: Wow I had never thought about how hot my hair tools were in relation toy hair color. But I don't usually use hot tools and I take medium showers with the coldest water as a last rinse in my hair so it stays pretty bright for months. But definitely need to watch how hot I'm using my hot tools. It just sucks when it's only a low or high setting, and I know the low is not enough to curl my big thick hair, I have tried. :( You're the best! :)

Lupe Medina: I never knew about temperature on my straightener affecting my hair color. Thank you so much for the advice!

percabethisawesome: now all those people going through their scene phase have a new method of getting coontails lol

Aria Howell: this was so helpful, makes my life more easier. Thank you!

officialkaylamarie: I have bright blue hair! I wash my hair every week to week and a half and always in FREEZING cold water. It's a little painful but totally worth it!

Night Shift: I was thinking of buying a good flat iron and I just had my hair turned from 24 years of black drugstore box dye to red & copper salon color with who I think is the best colorist in town. Thank you Guy you saved me a lot of money. I will NEVAH put any heat on my hair.

Madzie Wolf: I never use heat on my hair, I sometimes use a bit too hot water in the shower, but I don't wash my hair more than 2 times a week, and my hair is really healthy :D

Simmer Feeling: Am I the only one that saw this video and it's like... Shit. I take very hot showers xDD

Enigma Sky: The straightener I used to used was on 150°, and it straightened my hair just fine. I have medium thickness with a wavy texture. (White girl hair lol)y new one I never use higher than 300° and that's still really too hot with a heat protectant.

Josephine Elizabeth: This is great reassurance that washing my hair with cold water is actually the best for me. Thanks guys! :3

Claudia Romero: So, what temperature do you recommend us when we use the iron? I use a heat protector and put it in 200º, the heat protector (tressemé) is supposed to resist 220º.

Katrina Velte: Hi Gt! I have a question about coarse asian hair and how to step by step get it to that ombre from a level 4/5 base to a 10 platinum blonde? I had a color correction today as a model, and my mentor told me to ask you:)

Tyler Lethersin: This is common sense to people who color there hair all the time. You never should put ur flat iron (or whatever ur using) to the highest heat. Get a color safe shampoo & take colder showers. Also you can't wash ur hair as much. Probably every other day or every 2 days. I know it's gross but it's the truth. I had silver / white / grey hair & it faded in a week. It faded so quick because I wasn't using purple shampoo & I was taking hot showers everyday & straightening my hair almost everyday. Plus for people who use manic panic & colors like that. Unless you have a color sage shampoo (or shampoo/ conditioner with hair dye added to it) you aren't going to have the color long. It's going to fade out almost in a week. Unless you follow these steps. I had blue hair & I used manic panic. I let my hair get greasy & let it be mixed with my Natural hair oils. Because of that my hair had a harder time fading out & the blue stayed longer.

Randi Mae: What kind of color-safe shampoo do you recommend? I have blue hair and I currently use Tigi color safe shampoo. I can keep the color pretty well for about 2 months before it fades to the point of looking bad (that's with me washing it once a week in cold water and very rarely styling it).

Tamed Raven: I would love to see a comparison, a swatch like this vs one that has heat protect on it!

K C: This incredible stylist extraordinaire takes the time to show women and men how to do so many things and how to avoid problems you see on the street with hairstyles and colors every day. Hopefully, more people will watch these videos and learn, learn, learn from this hilarious guy! His information on products is second to none ~ manufacturers, pay attention here. :)

Jessica Crowe: I'm currently having the same problem but I'm using Schwarzkopf 10 min color which actually lasted the longest after lightening my hair that it sustained so much damage. what is an ideal temperature you'd suggest to keep our styling tools at?

Nicole S: When I had my pink hair, I always took cold showers, washed my hair no earlier than 3 days and never used any heat styling tools and the color still faded so quickly

MissBlondieBlood: Wow, thank you! That was impressive! <3 I will definetly tell my clients about that!

CeeCe Yang: Guy Tang I'm so glad I discovered you here. Thank you for sharing just about anything about hair. You are truly talented. Much love

EArtistry: I've never seen hair color do that ever crayzyy i bet you guys just helped a lot of ppl, specially in the states where i know blowdrying and straightening is a daily routine! much love xx

USMarshmallow: Guy, you have such an incredible personality! I never heat style my hair, but I have dyed it with henna. if I wanted to dye it chemically, how long would I have to wait after my last henna treatment?

lovelywolf: Welp. I'm off to look for heatless curls tutorials.

Erica Anderson: +Guy Tang so after watching this I'm totally glad I air dry and let my hair wave naturally like 90% of the time! lol but what heat settings are okay? I recently bought a straightener a few months ago and the lowest it goes is 300°, which is what I use when I do actually straighten my hair, plus hear protectant spray. Is that low enough or should I be doing even lower than that?

W*Star: OMG this video is so eye-opening!!!! I'll be doing more air-dry hair and less heat possible, Thanks guys ! ^-^

kl.shari: I didn't bleach my hair but I dyed it with direction's 'midnight blue', and I definitely don't have any problems with heat. The color stays the same.

Gardening Dragon: Ok I know this wasn’t the plan for this video but I did my hair and it came out so much more blue than I wanted did this to my hair and it did EXACTLY what they showed in the video made it so much less blue thanks!!

Lauren Rokobauer: Is it true that splashing your hair with cold water after you've shampoo'd and conditioned will make it shiny? If so, can that fade coloured hair?

Shanna McBride: I can't tell you how many clients I have that will suffer through all the work it takes to get these fashion colors and then will not maintenance them properly. So many complaints are about cost of products etc. I think I'll make swatches like this and show clients. Genius!!! Ps your teeth look nice!✨

liv :3: I'm so glad you uploaded this I've been noticing my hair color is fading so now I know not to take as hot shower and put iron on really high I have red and blue hair so this was really helpful

Frl_F: My hair is changed since I drastically reduced my use of heat on it. I blow dry my hair once a month I would say when I am in a super rush and need dry hair after a fast shower. So when I flat ironing my hair for a special occasion It is super silky and smooth and super shiny!

Emi Gomez: Thank you Guy! As a Magenta Redhead this is really going to help me out! I am guilty of using heat.

Brittney B: That sassy face at 1:29 had me DYING

AlaskanLove: Thank you so much for this video. I will make sure to tell my customers this information. Hate seeing people come in with patchy colors :(

Mad Catness: Dear Guy Tang. I want to ask you something. I have seen many haircolors in my life. And due to cancer I was able to start over twice (let's call it that lol) with healthy-ish (because chemo-hair) hair. However, shortly after it started to grow, I just wanted it to be red again as I was before and just loved that color... Only to realise that I'm not that person anymore :( But that I've grown up a bit and was up for something more serious. So I decided to go brown. Of course, both red and brown done at home because money. It looked pretty... For two monts. Just to realise this isn't it either. Sigh. Felt like a hair identity crisis. Then I realised there was something I always wanted but never was able to fully achieve simply because the silver shampoo wasn't as heard of years back as it is now. I would love to be or try white silvery blond. But I knew that was'nt going to happen overnight. So I went and get advised at a professional hair salon and they told me it was possible but gradually. That I would have to get my hair back to it's natural color as much as possible at first. And also to gradually add some blond highlights. No I'm at shoulder length, almost half is back to original color and the rest is... Reddish brownish mixed. Is there any way to speed up this process or slowly removing this brownish reddish hue? I'm going for a happy (hair) ending this time and I want to do it the right way. No more haircolor layering or impulsive decisions. Please help! Love from the Netherlands

Mary Elizabeth Lewis: I adore your ideas and color placement! You're my favorite! You seem not only to really know what you're doing (not reading a script! LOL) You know all the necessary chemistry, and love hair! I just love ya! Thanks for being you!

Kristi Kosanovong: Bake a turkey.. Hahaha! Guy you're hilarious. Thanks for the heads up! I don't use heat often but this is something good to keep in mind (:

itslauren: I love all your videos, they're so helpful!

Just a’Girl: So I Just now viewed a "Guy Tang" video for the very first time ever.... "How to make hair color last longer" FYI, I NEVER EVER comment on ANYTHING online but after seeing the work, time & effort that you guys put into making just this 1 video (not to mention the many others I've not seen yet) I just had to throw in my 2 cents of encouragement to you guys & say I hope that you'll keep the awesome videos coming & I give you both 2 thumbs up! & I have also subscribed to your (Tang's) YouTube collection & I will also be lookin for the links to Nora's videos &/or social media pages so I can also show her some love as well!

Aimee Leal: Please do a tutorial on that last purple hair swatch!

Jennifer Harris: Question! So using the straightener on heat at 400+ will remove the color from the hair almost immediately. BUT is this one of those sketchy situations where it LOOKS like the color is all removed but then when bleaching the colors may re-appear and make things more complicated?

aew42g5: Yup everyone needs to keep that heat on the low low

Space Cat: do you have any general suggestions for keeping hair colour? i recently went red, i waited over a week after getting it dyed before washing it with colour safe products. I used ice cold water, and i lost so much, went from a vivid coppery red to a dull reddish brown. i know red tends to fade the fastest but this is just one wash, feels like i wasted money. help?

Andrea: Happy I cut out heat tools from my everyday routine!! My hair hasn't faded from it beautiful silver in months!

Jocelyne: This video was extremely helpful. Thank you very much! :D

lenabobena: THEN WHAT THE HELL AM I SUPPOSED TO DO GUY TANG I HAVE BLUE HAIR AND I ALREADY WASH IT TWICE A WEEK MY STRAIGHTENER TEMP IS LIKE 320 I HAVE TO GO OVER IT 3-4 TIMES IF IT IS ANY LOWER. HELPPPP

Jessahness: I just dyed my hair purple, dark blue and turquoise last night (loving it) and I go to straighten my hair this morning (my straightener is a Chi with only one setting :'( The blue didn't fade at all, the turquoise seems to be fine, but the purple turned white!

AmmieeXO: I always always always wash my hair in like warm water! However never thought about my flat iron! Unfortunately my ghd flat iron doesn't have a temperature setting but I will definitely keep this in mind

J V: So this might explain why my beautiful platinum silver hair is turning yellow around the edges of my hair and along the back by my neck, one day after being at a salon leaving with beautiful coloured hair. I've been wondering why my unwashed, non-hot tooled hair has started to turn yellow. Could the temperature of my scalp at night be causing discoloration?

Beth Mills: Thank you for this dyed my hair red with arctic fox wrath and really want it to last ❤

Ms. Bonnie Harris: I wish you would have shown low heat lol

Angel Eye Celestial: (I'm a hairdresser) Guy Tang is probably the only person I 100% trust when learning new tips and tricks. They want me to spend hundreds of dollars on classes to take..... But why would I do all that when I can watch this wonderful guy for free on here?!?!?!?! (Yes I'm aware there are things he doesn't teach lmao, I mean with color)
