We Tested 4 Temporary Hair Color Sprays That Change Your Hair Color In Seconds

No. This is ``. How Much Should I Spend ?'', where we test a product at various price points to let you know, which is the best value for your money. Today, we're gon na be testing out four different temporary-hair-color sprays. The products I'm gon na be testing out are L'Oréal Paris, Colorista 1-Day Hair, Color Spray Manic, Panic, Amplified, Color Spray, Lime, Crime, Unicorn, Hair, Rainbow Mist and Hush Prism. Airbrush Spray., I'm gon na be ranking all of the products based on how good the color payoff is, how transfer-proof they actually are and how easily they wash out.. After my last experience using a hair-coloring product ..., I feel like I look like the Joker. Uh. My expectations are pretty managed.. I feel like being a brunette with curly hair. Sometimes, products like these just don't work out for me., Which is fine., But I figured let's try them anyway. This product rings in at $ 7, making it our cheapest spray of the day., And I chose this one because to me it's just such a drugstore classic.. I always see the L'Oréal Colorista sprays in all different colors at any CVS Walgreens, so I figured this would be a good one to have in the running.. Nothing happened., Still nothing happened.. I see like a stripe of a color in my head.. All right. No. Is anything happening. I see like a ..., I see like a slight purple. Tinge. First impression of L'Oréal spray is not great.. I feel like I ran out of this spray in five seconds.. It ran out so quickly.. If you're, someone like me that has very thick hair, that's gon na need a lot of coverage. You definitely will probably need to buy at least three of these little tiny cans, because my hair barely looks purple.. Now that I have this color spray on my hair. If you could even see it on my hair, I'm gon na have to test out how transfer-proof it actually is., And you know what that means., I'm gon na bring back. My very tall friend Grant, who is wearing a very white shirt.. We'Re gon na have a little dance party and, let's see how much of this product ends up on his shirt. [ Grant gasps ] Nico What [ gasps ]? Oh no, The evidence is all over Grant's white shirt.. Next we're gon na try the Manic Panic Amplified. Color Spray in the shade Electric Lizard. And it is electric.. This is .... This is green. [, laughs, ]. I'M really kinda scared to try out another green after my last experience. [ grunts ]. But I don't know Manic. Panic is a really really good, hair-color brand.. So I'm expecting this one in terms of color payoff to be probably the best., This retails for $ 11, and it comes with 3.4 ounces of product.. I am surprised at how much I actually like this color., I feel like I look like a little curly-haired Ramona Flowers. And I love it.. I am so impressed with the color payoff that this Manic Panic spray has., I feel, like I also didn't have to use as much.. Oh A little green.. I see a little bit of green down here., So we're moving on to the next one. We're gon na. Try out the Lime Crime, Unicorn, Hair, Rainbow Mist in the shade Dew Drop.. That'S really cute.! I love that.. I do think that 14 bucks is a bit pricey for a temporary color spray, but then again that L'Oréal one was our cheapest option and it really did not perform well and we went through product very quickly.. Once again, I used the entire can of color hair spray on my hair and it barely covered most of my head.. It is really disappointing that these smaller bottles aren't really doing the product justice, because I think I would need more of them for it to look like at its full color payoff. Nothing.. I don't see any blue.. It all still looks purple to me. The one thing that is coming off a lot is that shimmer. There's like shimmer everywhere for some reason. We're finally down to our last hair-color spray.. So this is the Hush Prism Airbrush Spray in the shade Malibu Pink., And it is our most expensive spray of the day coming in at $ 24.. I chose this Hush Prism spray because it was by far the most expensive hair-color spray that I could find on. The internet., I just think 24 bucks for a temporary hair spray is ..., it's a little wild., But you know we all make our choices and you can make that one if you want. Well, I finished up the entire can of the Hush Prism spray as well.. I'M really shocked and disappointed that a spray like this that costs 24 bucks is this ..., I guess weak on the color payoff, not that all of the color payoffs have been like phenomenal., But still for 24 bucks. I was expecting something way more pink and like in your face, like you could see that. And I used the whole can.. This is 4 ounces of color spray in my hair and it just looks like this., But I genuinely don't see any pink.. I'Ve tried out all four of my temporary hair-color sprays and I think that I finally have a winner. And that winner is the Manic Panic Amplified Color Spray.. It did leave a small green tinge on Grant's shirt during our transfer-proof test, but it totally outperformed all the other sprays when it came to color payoff and how easily it washed out.. This spray was definitely the most vibrant and colorful against my dark hair., And that also meant that I didn't have to use as much product as with the rest of the hair sprays.. It also took me around four minutes to shampoo the spray out of my hair, which made it the easiest out of all of the sprays to wash out. Last place goes to the L'Oréal Paris Colorista 1-Day Hair Color Spray.. It kinda failed all across the board.. It wasn't great with color payoff. I had to use the entire can to even get like a slight tint of purple in my hair.. It got all over Grant's shirt when we were doing the transfer-proof test, and on top of that it was the hardest to wash out out of all the sprays.. So when it comes to hair-color sprays, I say spend no more than 11 bucks and try out Manic. Panic'S Amplified Color Spray

Shannon Wojtaszek: I feel like they should have used two models, one with dark hair and one with light hair. Even better 3 models, one with medium hair or even already colored hair as in pink, blue, &/or green. Just a thought.

lillyscarlet: I just don’t think these work with thick curly hair. They’re definitely aimed and made for thin straight hair.

O_kay: You guys are really critical. The point was to see how the hair color shows up in HER hair. Not on a head of hair that is lighter, straighter, etc. Also as far as it being sprayed in the same spot, you can see she did it herself, so she can only see but so much when applying it & (I’m assuming) closing your eyes so that the spray doesn’t get in them.

uh oh: the green honestly suits her so well, she looks like a woodland creature or an elf idk

Briar Keehn: I think it is unfair to do such different colors. The green was bound to win.

memeyassi: Everyone who has lighter hair can easily find what the color looks like on them as the sites that sell it post many photos of lighter and medium hair, I really appreciate seeing this on someone with dark hair

KayeMarch: This is a great video its a test of the product for curly dark hair...we ALL know how it'll show on straight light hair

Allakush productions: I think the L'Oréal one actually worked really well. I know a lot of brunettes who tried to spray their hair purple and NOTHING IS THERE, however when she spray the L'Oréal one, it actually appeared on her hair.

crusty bobusty: I thought these kind of sprays were more for colouring sections of hair like brightly coloured highlights, didn't realise people used them to colour their whole head lol

Ericka Chambers: I wish she had done the same color for all of them so we could have a strong comparison. Also the first dye was hard to tell cause of the color wall. That might have been why the purple wasn’t as obvious. But love the cideo. Exactly the info I needed!

Shannon Wojtaszek: The pink one really sad because my hairs around her color and i used a hairspary from the halloween store and it was WAY TOO pink. I'd get the halloween ones! They're very cheap aswell.

yu p: I honestly I think she used up most of the cans because she kept spraying in the same spots

student: I feel like they should have done this vid a different way, having three types of models or one model for each brand to make things better and to do a day test to see how long the color lasts yk

Cynthia Rodriguez: So glad that I came across a video like this that actually tests stuff on dark curly hair!

Паулина Симова: I love what you do guys. I think it helps a lot with choosing the right product for the someone who watches .

ً: I used a hair coloring spray a couple years back and what I noticed is it made my hair super dry. I literally had it on for a day but I feel like my hair was lifeless after that for a while.

✨Suri✨: You have beautiful hair I don’t think I would ever spray those in my hair, I’ll be too afraid it would dry out my hair too much. I have curly hair too but not as thick as yours.

Dannielle MacDonald: Great review! I am using Overtone Rose Gold for brown hair, loving it!

Suk-Yan Kan: I feel like this review was pretty inconsistent like the color of the sprays and how the sprays were applied cause on the first two she had someone help spray it on her hair and the last two was that she sprayed it herself in mostly one area I also felt like she could’ve had multiple people with the same hair color but different hair textures like curly straight wavy so it’d be nice if the review overall was more consistent

B. Long: Thank you so much for making this. I'm looking for something for my curly brunette daughter as well!

Harper Wilson: We are trying out the loreal hairspray today, thanks for the advice!

kalo gucake: I'm just laughing at the Transfer proof test . .... i wanna transfer dance too

Aisha Zahir: They should’ve used the same color for all the different products

Patricia Martinez: Omg you should sooo do a video of you showing us your hair routine you have gorgeous hair!

MEGI: honestly, the green one looks like broccoli *and im living for it*

Anayelli Dumé: I'm reading all this comments about they should also try on other hair types and colors like.... HONEY curly or coily and brunnet or black hair are THE MOST DIFFICULT HAIR TO COLOR, if your hair is straigh and/or blonde you should not have any problem using a product that also works for the girl in the video.

delidivaed1: I have never thought to try to cover my entire head with this stuff, it's all meant for concentration in streaks and if it had been applied CORRECTLY the majority of the products would have had great color pay off and dramatic effect but being blindly applied and wasted in the roots and overly concentrated in big patches as it is is like watching a 5 year old child play with mommy's makeup.

Malikah J: I wish she would use the same color with all products

MsBonitaDinero: The hints of pink was pretty! No transfer onto the white shirt...I guess that's why it's $24...lol. I usually... well always use color sprays from the local beauty supply store and they're 3.99-4.99.

Vivi: Is it okay to use on her hair? I’ve heard that curly hair usually are really dry and that kind of product really dries hair out :(

Uma A: Finally someone who also has curly, thick brown hair!

I ate all the lucky charm marshmallows: How is there no one saying how fricking pretty she is like omg queen

Arachne: I used a temporary spray for a play and it got everywhere. Even hours later I would touch my hair and the color still came off on my hands. I heavily research a temporary dye before I get it now. Probably should have been doing that already.

baby blue: i think the ones that didnt cover your hair would look better on light hair cuz rhe super pigmented one on light hair would look too much. but the super pigment one works better for dark hair

weirdo: i bought hair spray dye for 3 Euro and it is THE BEST 1 IVE EVER TRIED way better than Claire's 15.99 Euro

Ok ok: i think lime crime one isnt meant to be super colorful ...i think its meant to be a sheer shimmery blue which is really gorg btw

Zaahira: you should’ve used like the same color for each of the sprays otherwise the test isn’t ‘valid’

em'ly: Overall, would you recommend colour spray, or the cream-like kind?

Nona DiAngelo: This test is extremely unfair to the products. Not everyone has the same type of hair, for one. And the way she was spraying it herself wasn't going to give her good results. On the first purple one, I could see the color quite clearly while she was saying 'Eh, it's almost kinda colored.'

Kyle Eats: I’m loving the hair colour that you spray and does nothing , I have darker but straighter hair

julius cabrera: I think she's great but I think these would be more visible with someone with shorter hair I don't think the product would finish so quickly on shorter or no hair

Mickie SF Town: Manic Panic was and is always the best for bright colors

Naqamah Naphtali: Beautiful hair!!

pescatarian: not to be rude, but i think that this would’ve been a better review if you guys had 1. used more than one hair type: straight hair, curly hair, kinky hair 2. more than one hair color: blonde, brunette, black, or previously colored hair 3. the same color throughout each brand. so it’s not biased toward brighter/lighter colors just a bit of criticism

Awi: I think the first one was only for your ends and like the top of the head. Im getting one and it said for full hair you need 2 cans i think. Also like everyone is saying, she is spraying in the same spots lol

Rougui Kamara: The pink suits U. One question... How long it stays on the hair before it goes?

M. Banerjee: As someone with curly black hair, thanks this helps.

Frene Gyr: Can y'all test the products on straight hair too?

Cristal Ratliff: I tried this hair spray temporary dye and it made my hair hard and crusty

Gina Plowman: She kept saying it’s no purple showing up when you can see it pretty clearly

mariana: of course she's going to take a long time to wash out the hair spray, she's washing it in a sink what else did she think was going to happen

Valentina Castro: 1:54 I feel it was kinda unfair to put purple in dark hair because it doesn't really show up. She should have done red or smth.

M'Kayla: I have a liquid one and its lasted me (The bottle) very long.

SidsVids: thank you very helpful

Mark D: I feel there are some spots where she put way to much spray so that’s why she is running out so quickly it just got me so aggravated how she is saying there is not enough spray but spray half of the spray in one section

cleo torres: Omgg where can I get this I’ve always wanted to dye my hair green like the little stoner that I purely am .. but my gf would faint ..

Sonia tauqir: I think u have to use same colour for all products.....and may be on different hair types as well.....

fatima boo: Did you washed ur hair and dried it out every time all in one set ? :0

S Lee: Your curly hair look so cute! Are they natural?

Shine Omiar 💙💙: Real helpful thx

popKAnime: so many things wrong here, she sprayed in the same spot for more than 3 times, she has a dark hair so the color will be harder to shown up, she washed her hair in the sink..

Just Shade: What sucks is if you have bleached hair, it’s porous, meaning it’s VERY easily strained. huge issue I had when mine was bleached. The L’Oréal spray DOES NOT COME OUT

kameirah: Do you guys recommend a spray or wax?

Anuradha Joisar: These hair sprays make your hair go very rough...for me at least

Queen Bee: Again, should have used the same color so we can tell which works best

Ashmon layne: Hair sprays is mostly 4 highlights it says it on the bottle.

Venus Bardakci: Trick for the the purple dye: purple background

Gold Yard: Do these work on pressed hair??? I'm mixed with hair just like yours.

Corey Flowers: She should have used the same color of each brand.

Dominque Cohen: All curly haired girls know you do this in sections

jimin's thighs rap mon's dimples: I don't think testing purple in front of a purple screen was the best choice.

Alexa Peters: They should have gotten someone who knew what they were doing to apply it

Alisha Ally: Great video!

Nayops21: 4:16 That’s the one I use for Halloween.

T Rod: I dunno anything about color hair sprays... I thought this was a video on spray paint...oops! but figured Id watch it anyway. Entertaining! And ur hair is really pretty.

quinton washington: I recommend dark and lovely

K6: The purple was pretty. Blue would be cute..

Nokocchi: there should be another person with blonde hair to see the difference

DanielWhiteVans: I’m gonna cosplay as Johnny Test and need a Yellow for hair and Red for flaming tip. Idk if I should use these tho since I need a bright yellow spray can

Joshua Buchanan: If I dyed my hair again which I will, id never wash it out in the sink because what I bump my head on the sink

wrestlingrulz85: Is manic panic sticky like hairspray?

Lei Kei: Should have tried on two different types of hair (light and dark) Also the colorista is for highlights only unless you have short hair and it takes a few minutes for the color to come in fully. Can you PLEASE read the directions first and use common sense

jilapir dokan: How do i wash them off?

Dang Itz Eva: Oh my god this is ridiculous: You sprayed in the same place over and over again which is why you ran out so fast Use more than one model you can have one model with dark hair and frizzy hair you need straight hair and blonde hair and ginger and maybe even dyed hair.

Buth Visal: Hello Can you tell me How can I buy spray for color hair like this ?

Palwasha Samimi: Omg I just put on the color ista on! I am so scared!!

Lou Miranda: how beautiful is this girl uwu

Maria Venzuela: Grant and her are so cute ,doing that little dance

Jack Frost coming for y'all, run, run...silence: Does anyone know if this ruins hair/scalp or dries the scalp. I have a dry scalp and sometimes have really bad dandruff, I wanna know if this is safe.

arushi: will a black spray color stay for the 1 hour I have to be in school to hide my bleached blue hair

Bia Santos: Cause I need to buy this kind of things

Crystalynn Rose: Does anyone know how to make sure temporary hair spray in dye doesn’t bleed on clothes my daughter want to be the little mermaid but in the wedding dress her natural hair color is blond and idk how to make sure her dress doesn’t turn red during school so she’s not looking like a rag doll or ragga muffin during trick or treat I mean can I spray the dress with hair spray to protect it for the day please help before Halloween guys

Yves W.: How does she get her hair back in the same state ..!

Sarayah Copeland: I USED THE PURPLE AND IT WONT dry

Shreesshares: U should try it on only one portion

Foreign Jewel: Her hair looks really purple to me

Alexandru Ciotirnae: Nice just apply purple hair dye while the background is purple. We’ll definetly see the colour... I mean... you can see the dye, but not that well

Wafeya Yazal: Someone need to help you, you spray in the wrong spot then say it is done

Issac Torres: For educational purposes can you please tell me Grants Instagram?
