ABOUT ME: Hi guys! My name is Alyona. I was born in Russia. I'm a musician. And I love art, makeup, fashion, style and beautiful environments. I love playing with makeup and fashion, but at the same time, I’m quite a minimalistic person. I don't like the idea of being fixated on the body too much. I have an alternative and unconventional viewpoint on beauty, the body types and face shapes. I love helping other women find their "it" and finally discover their beauty and boost their confidence.

I have several series on my channel that you might be interested in such as: Body Types, Contouring, Makeup History and Makeup Transformations. Also some random beauty hacks about skin care, hair, nails and beauty in general.

Hi guys so today we're going to talk about hair color again. This very will not be based on a basic technology on skin color and all that stuff. We'Re going to talk more about body types in general. If you're new to my channel I've got a body type series, I will link down below you'll, be able to make a test to determine what body type you are. This is not my technology, it belongs to David Kitty, stylist live in New York and he wrote a book called metamorphosis in the 80s and yes, the style was pretty different in me. Is right but recommendations on the lines for different thirteen body types are still very modern. It really works if you find your vibe, because everything comes all together. If we make her look altogether nothing. An author looks separate from us. We are going to discuss now best hair color for different body types. If things to consider, if things to try in every say avoid, it doesn't mean that you don't have to do it just keep in mind and try try to see you pictures with different hair colors with different hair styles. Also, you can see my previous video about haircuts for different body types. I will leave again the link down below. So, let's start, if you are dramatic, look tall and long and straight have sharp bones and shop or prominent facial features. Your hair color should be vivid and distinct, doesn't matter if you're blonde brown, red or black or how light or dark your hair naturally is. If you highlight just a little bit, you can end up with washed out look softening your hair. Color can be agent on you, so low contrast, balayage can make you a bit washed out. High contrast can look awesome if you are soft dramatic. If you look tall and curvy and maybe fleshy with large bones and have full or exotic facial features, your hair color should be rich, bold and vivid. If you choose an artificial color, it should be strong and dramatic. Blue black fiery, red platinum or bright, yellow blonde are all good choices. Highlighting should have more contrast. The richer your hair color looks the better, avoid subtle, highlights or delicate lightening of the air. If you are natural, if you are moderately tall with blunt angular bones, maybe wider shoulders and a bit straight and angular facial bones, your hair color should always look natural with realistic, color and shining subtle highlights be very careful with complete color changes, artificial colors or lights. Can be unsophisticated on you over highlighting the hair, can look mature only on you if you are flamboyant natural, look, tall and masculine with wider shoulders and angular strong face, maybe a bit straight and figure your hair color should be rich and vibrant, in keeping with your Free-Spirited freshness, if you choose artificial color and keep the base of your hair very close to your original shade, strix and highlights are generally best. So they give you more of that. Glow avoid extremely artificial shades, blue black platinum or brassy, yellow blond, fiery red, be careful with lightening me hear anything designed to soften the color. Might look very dull and aging on you. If you are soft natural, if you look moderately tall with slightly soft and curvy body, but a bit angular bones and a bit square shoulders and might have a bit softer face, your hair color should be rich natural and soft looking. It should not look as if you color your hair, if you choose to do so, make sure that effect is subtle, not drastic, subtle, low lights avoid boldly theatrical colors, blue black platinum or strong, yellow blond. I read avoid overly light in here. If you are classic, if you look moderate in everything evenly proportioned and symmetrical and body and face a natural and rich hair, color is best, for you be very subtle in color changes. So the effect is realistic. Instead of dramatic streaking, you can use low lights or soft sprays of color avoid overly theatrical hair, colors blue black platinum fiery red. Unless that is your original color, if you are dramatic classic, if you look moderate and symmetrical in everything, but a bit sharp or angular and bones and facial features in general, you need the rich base for coloring your hair. This will provide the distinct hair color. That must be maintained if you want to cover gray, never choose a shade lighter than your original hair color. It will be too soft and use it for you and will give you a tired, mature only appearance that doesn't suit your bold and sophisticated elegance, avoid all processes designed to soften the hair. Color be careful not to over lighten the hair. If you are a soft classic, if you look moderate and symmetrical with some soft or rounded edges in budding face, your hair color should be soft and luxurious. Realistic and natural colors are best lightening your hair, a shade or brightening it. A shade is possible if your original color is blond, red or medium brown, you might also choose for low lights. If your hair is in these color ranges, brunettes should avoid lightening or highlight, because the result is their agent and tiring. It might look like you have gray, hair, avoid unrealistic or theatrical hair, colors blue black fiery red platinum blonde, avoid over streaked hair. If you are a guy mean if you look short angular and sharp and bones with straight body type and delicately sharp facial features, your hair color should be rich, vivid and distinct. Extreme color changes are possible as long as you work in conjunction with your natural color and don't upset the vivid contrast between here skin and eyes. You can go dramatic with hair color, intensities, blue black, deep brunette, platinum, blonde fiery, red and highlights should be obvious streaks. If you use them avoid lightening your hair, except for a dramatic change avoid using subtle highlights to soften features. This will only be very tiring and mature only on you if you are flamboyant gaming smallish, but lean and strong with angular bones and facial features and pretty straight body. Hair color should be distinct and rich, not softened. If you decide to color your hair to the shade, that is clear and vivid, if you are very daring, a theatrical color will work on you, blue black fiery, red platinum, otherwise, stick very close to your original shade. If you need to cover gray or want to make the color a little richer go for overall color processes, instead of subtle, highlights, avoid trying to soften the hair with sudden lights or lightening the overall effect. If you are a soft gaming, looking small a bit fleshy with smaller but angular bones and don't like and rounded face with some angularity, your hair color should be rich and vibrant. If you decide to color your hair, go for a fairly bright shade, softening your hair color tends to be too tiring on you, but subtle highlights around the face. On top may accentuate the softly tousled look avoid over lightining the hair avoid over streaking the hair. If your romantic look, smallish soft and curvy with hourglass figure, delicate bones and full and rounded facial features, your hair color in general, should be rich with the possible addition of subtle highlights to add a shimmer to the color. It will accentuate the glow of the skin. You can add some light shades around the face. It will look, soft and beautiful, be careful with the highlights, if you're a brunette, because they might look like grey hair, avoid extremely bright, colors, blue black fiery, red or bright blonde, unless it's close to your natural car. However, there are always exceptions: Marilyn looked amazing with that platinum blonde, even though her natural color was opposite. If you are theatrical romantic, look smallish with hourglass figure, but with sharper bones and delicate small and sharp facial bones and at the same time, soft features. If you want to color your hair, choose shades that are rich and vibrant. You are striving for a glamorous hair color, which means intense Browns are bridge Reds of fiery, blondes are bright and black is jet, avoid overly pale colors except platinum, avoid highlights that are meant to soften the color soft equals tired in this case. Alright, a sense. Thank you so much for watching. I hope you enjoyed the video put thumbs up because the more thumbs up again, the more YouTube recommends. My video share, this video. sophier: I love your bodytype series! A little suggestion, that I'm sure many of us here would be very interested in, is a swimwear body type video! It's that time of the year, already!

Ruchita Fotedar: never knew hair color could be related to body types as well! very informative ☺

Marilyn Webster: Sweetie, you never fail to amaze and draw your audience into a world of possibilities. Good for you ! Did you ever get a copy of the book? I hope so. Being a cosmotologist shortly after the book was written, it brings joy that this VERY IMPORTANT work is being reintroduced by such charming , knowledgeable, creative person such as yourself. Blessings and Peace be with you. Marilyn in New Mexico, USA

Jacquelyn Miller: Aly: "realistic and natural colors are best" Me: *has pink hair*

Bailey Derby: I've been watching all of the videos in this series. I am a gamine and I decided to get a platinum blonde pixie cut. I LOVE IT!! So glad I followed your advice!

Elizabeth Mcnally: Another exception to the rules here‍♀️, I'm a soft natural but I have been rocking the blue black most of my life. My hairstyle is very typical soft natural (undone waves, random braiding, loose side ponys, messy), but I also have to honour my bright winter colouring (one of the most high contrast types, think snow white). I've tried more natural colour and apart from jet black it just looks, well, unnatural, and wrong with the colours I wear. Also, going grey has been a bonus because the salt and pepper shows through under the colour, giving it a slightly more organic, multi toned look even though it's blue lol. I think breaking the rules comes down to choosing the right rules to break for yourself as an individual.

Mimi Usagi: "Soft Classic should avoid unrealistic hair colors." Me: *Looks at the mirror to see my pink hair*.

Ajia Cooper: Thank you, Aly, for this series! I'm a 50/50 Romantic/Theatrical Romantic. Everything has been spot on!

Nicole Winters: I’m a natural body type which probably helps explain why my grey hair super suits me and I’m grateful for that because I went fully grey by my 20s and can’t imagine all that hair dying I would have to do!

micheal ross: It would be great if you did entire videos on each individual body type

Deva7: That was so professionally and well made! Very interesting and helpful. And you have the most soothing voice, simpy lovely and great diction <3

trésbelle614: Thank you again! You're awesome! ! Can't wait for the makeup for each type!

Poppy May: I've been watching your videos for a few years your so educating!! And love the hair x

ΑΜΑΛΙΑ ΓΑΖΗ: I am grateful to you for your "body types series"!!! Would a Makeup Looks For Your Body Type be next? I'd love to see one! Kisses from Greece!!!

Solstice: I am an extremely soft classic, I thought for sure I'd be a gamine because I'm short but I took your test an the more of your videos I watch the more I realize how accurate the test was! I always wondered why even though in theory highlights should look good on me they never did and always kept coming back to my dark brown hair, now I know! Thank you!

K Budzisz: Interesting perspective. Actually, I've intuitively followed the guidelines for my bodytype ("soft natural") and very strong and dramatic colours have always looked on me fake or out of place.

ghostymeow: I love this series so much and I’ve watched every video (several times) but I still can’t determine my type!

Isabella Pattinson: Thank you for the video. It was really helpful. Can body types affect hair length too? What hair length will look best with romantic body types?

C: again, so accurate and true... can't imagine how much work she put into these analyses...

Vianey Boruel: love it as per usual. also your hair looks super cute!!

B.: So to summarize everything in a sentence... Sharp features = bold and dramatic colours, highlights should have high contrast. Soft, rounded features = natural, rich-looking shades, highlights should be subtle. Is that the gist of it?

Kathia: Your bodytype series its wonderful!! <3

Manar Malik: can you do a video about SWIMSUITS for every body type? THANK YOU

Anne Boleyn: I think I can possibly be a soft classic. Spent my life in colouring my hair black to enhance the contrast with my fair skin and green/gray eyes. now at 40 my hair is turned completely white already (my natural colour was mid brown) and last year I decided I had enough of dyeing my hair every week to cover the roots. I know I look softer than before with white silver hair but I like it, although it takes away a lot of contrast and make me look softer :) People ask me if I bleach my hair, but it is natural I just tone it with silver shampoo :)

underthesignofthemoon: Hey Aly, I've been subscribed to you for a long time and I LOVE your videos about makeup! I wanted to ask you, would you maybe consider making a video on skin care? I have pretty oily skin and although I'm already 26 I've always been struggeling with adult acne and no matter what I do (mild facewashes, antibacterial ones, wearing no makeup at all, expensive products), it doesn't really seem to go away! And I've been a healthy vegan for 5 years so it can't be my nutrition. Just to see what you recommend when it comes to skin care would be very helpful! Keep up the amzing videos x

amanda: (SC here) I love rich dramatic colours but I see what you’re saying; we pull off subtlety so beautifully I get the most complements on my overall appearance when I keep it things simple

Karla Arriola: I am really enjoying this B series. Something I have not found is how our age plays into this. I am 48 years old. The pandemic has allowed me to ponder on all the “time, money and effort” involved in me chasing away my natural evolution. One simple change is my hair color and Chasing my gray halo since I was 30 years old. I am still struggling on what my B type is which is Soft between Classic and Soft Natural. Of all the celebrities out there, I am always compared to Jennifer Lopez’s body and face type. My body and mental health is being attacked by all the Natural hormonal changes a woman my age grapples with. It’s bananas! My natural color for 50% of my head is gray now. In fact 85% of that half is almost platinum. It’s beautiful. I am searching for solution that allow me to embrace all the changes and feel confident. I hope you consider a Maturing Series to expand your reach. Thank you for your hard work on this channel.

Jsmum: Love your look here. Very gorgeous!

Stephanie: So true! I’m theatrical romantic and I’ve always had my natural dark brown color- then I chopped it and added blonde highlights and I looked older and bland. Now I’m back to deep brown and I feel like myself again ahhh

Neko Meli: I can't stop watching your vids! So interesting and educational

Omandita4: This was such a different and interesting take on haircolor! Breath of fresh air!

bum7201: I love this body type series! I'm wondering if there's a similar system for men? I would really really appreciate those information

L A: Hi, can you please do a video about best eyebrow shape for different face shapes? Love your videos, so informative and helpful. Thank you :)

Viola: Thank you for another great video! Could you possibly do one on sunglasses/glasses for the different body types?

Alicia Ortiz: Aly could do wedding dresses for body types? Love you this series is my very favorites

Avery L: You should do one for hair color to match your skin tone! (Warm, cool, olive skin tones)

honeybadgeresse: Thank you for the lovely video! You are simply brilliant!!! I am still, like so many others struggling to find my body type. I am medium size (1,67 m) with moderately long legs and rather long arms. I have large round eyes, but otherwise, my face is delicate, it is neither very soft nor do I have very prominent bones. I have small lips, but not straight lips. I don't have much of a waist. My legs look like from a natural type but the rest somehow won't fit, because the bones of my upper body are rather delicate and sharp with long lean muscles, more like a dramatic. I have delicate feet and hands, people always say my hands look like of a piano player. Determining my body type drives me crazy, seems like nothing fits – I am oscillating somewhere between (flamboyant) Gamine, DC, Natural - please help!!!! I even bought the book, but still can’t decide…

Monica Luvz: What amazing luck that I found your channel! You are very knowledgeable and talented! I'm a great full new sub. Great advice and thank you Aly!!!

Klarissa: Aly you look gorgeous! I love your hair like that! : )

Sue R: that hair looks amazing on you!

Alex: as soft natural, I always hesitated to do any colouring in my hair. I just liked the colour it has and never coloured it. One time I used the colouring shampoo, red colour and was allright but still missed my normal colour. Mine has some nice reflections in the natural light, bluish soemtimes red, depends on the season. Now, thanks to you I find is better for my type to keep it as close to its natural colour, thanks God. I do start to have some white hairs but they do not bother me.

twominutetips: I forgot to mention in my other comment that I find this hairstyle very attractive on you - cute and chic all at the same time. Well done.

Cristina Bejan: Well, soft classic but medium red works very well with my skin tone, i can handle it pretty bright as well if i pay attention to makeup and everything is sleek. i also have some contrast, very light cool skin with very dark brown eyes, i just have to pay attention to brow color. But i do agree with these general ideas, you can break the rules if you know them first

MisterTracks: Brilliant work! Keep it up!

roxypierce: I miss your transformations !!I think a Raquel Welsh one would be awesome! but I still love all your videos too :) you never disappoint! muah!

Venus Portrait: You look amazing with this hair color

Sahar Shawa: love the hair look! you look so fresh

xtina baaae: Can you do swim suits for different body types? love your channel!

Dipanita Naik: Thank you for sharing such videos. I love watching them. They are always beneficial.

Sofia I: this was helpful! thank you

April Reyes: omg can you make a video on how to do your hair like yours in this vid?!! it looks so gorg !!

Hyyacinthus A: This is so helpful I checked this video in the past but was not sure about it . Now that you made the other videos it makes more sense .

Wren Peach: I'm Romantic, but I love unnatural colors and get tons of compliments on them.

MC Na: Your hair and makeup are just beautiful in this video!!!!!!

Cala Mitchell: Fantastically right on. Now I know why my dramatic self looks best in platinum, red red or dark rich brown.

Leggo 4ever: oh my god ! Your hairstyle so beautiful ❤️

zoe bradley: Brilliant series ❤️❤️❤️

Beatriz Martínez: I've missed your videos! ❤❤ Do you recommend a yellow concealer for dark circles?Could you give advice for pale skin? thanks!

Lamya Aziz: you always make me see things in a new point of view! and because Eid is almost here can you make a video about dresses Thankyou

Zulaikha Ballesteros: love your hair style in this video!!!!

Soukaina Bencharqui: What about our curvy, thick and big girls? I would love to see us mentioned in some of these videos! Anyway I think you’re good at what you do

•JellyBean Bear•: So useful and clearly explained. I got a suggestion for the next video: Scarfs for the body types. What do you think? Looking forward to your next amazing video

Mary Fournier: These tips are pretty amazing!

Holly-Mae Greer: Best suited prom dresses please!!

Kuutti: My face is extremely dramatic, I appear taller than I am, and my bones are very sharp-looking. I had black hair for 20 years and it felt very natural, my natural hair is blonde though!(with grey-blue eyes and very neutral skintone). I'm considering going back to black which is why I came here:)

Daria Lyalina: Hi! What about those who never coloured their hair like me and have grays. I don’t want to colour, but I realise grays wash me out. Are there any pieces of advice for gray-haired women, especially classics;) Thanks for great content!

sana jabeen: your videos are very useful thankew so much aly

lauren. ・゚: skin tone comes into play majorly as well, warm/cool/neutral

Snorlax: First! Hi Aly You're looking gorgeous with this up-do ❤

Julia Byk: I love that all of your videos are so on point

Fernanda Moraes: Is it possible to relate nail shape and lengh to the body type? A vídeo about it would be amazing ♡

J: Could you please make an Selene/Kate Beckinsale Make-up Tutorial at sometime? :D With that Hair, it would look amazing!

Lily: thank you very much, really informative:) Question please . I am dramatic classic, does for instance balayage work for me? or just intense rich unicolor? normally I am avoiding extreme makeover. and stick one or two shades "max" lighter than my original hair color .

chrissie as: I'm either dramatic classic or flamboyant gamine. I'm neither super tall nor small, so I guess dramatic classic. I love asymmetric striking styles and feel best wearing them. Anything too classic is boring. I have purple hair, blue eyes and pale skin, and contrast is definitely what I need, so your advice is definitely true for me. Soft lighter hair make me look ill. Love your vids!

Vibha B: You are the most talented YouTuber I have ever seen..I'm shamelessly recommending you to all I know *hugs n kisses*

CheriByGrace: Your speaking voice is really awesome. I could listen to you read entire books! Have you considered a career with your voice as well? It’s inflections and variations with slight accept is very soothing and lovely.

Manal: I wanna do platinum blonde even more now

butterfly girl: Your YouTube videos are so unique, I love it

Mariana: God Bless you.. you're like a PhD wiz of aesthetics. I've been following your advice for months now and I think i'm looking pretty good :) Ok, question: I have a hair appointment tomorrow and I am wondering if a dark plum would be a good color for me? I am soft dramatic (and very tall)

Sarah 241Lotus: Amazing video ❤️❤️ please Aly do a Grace Kelly makeup transformation

Emma Baker: She looks so beautiful in this video. That hairstyle looks so cute on her.

Aly Transformations: *definitely* romantic by the way, if you have pale skin, doing something super dark or bright might only make your skin look more pale and wash it out. Also, don't choose a color that is your skin color, something soft and subtle is an even balance to bring out your skin color!! It is the same with makeup, wearing reds or dark browns and purples will wash it out but peaches and light browns will bring out your color and add a great balance!

Sarah Schouveller: you look amazing in this video!

selu: IMO, your coloring may not fully align to your body type and you should defer to your individual coloring in that scenario. I'm a soft autumn SG and muted, lower contrast looks better on me than saturated and high contrast colors.

Anne McKeel: Hi Aly , Another amazing tutorial. Was wondering what your body type is? Was thinking gamine or romantic?? I do love your hair up like this, but all your styles are perfect on you!

Alle für Einen: You are wonderful ♥ Your voice is so angelic, you could talk about anything to me and I would listen ^^ (also, I'm soft natural and have naturally red hair - but I would love some blue on the tips. I'm a little scared to try it out, because I love my natural color - do you think it's a bad idea?)

Xzuajk Gka: how about HAIR COLOR FOR DIFFERENT SKIN TONES? <3 pls make a video

Janet Steinman: This probably explains why everyone hated my hair blonde. I loved it but no one else did.

Dory Sampson: hello! I love these videos, but I'm a bit confused. You see, I have a face that fits the description of a soft gamine, but my torso is quite short, which makes my legs look longer proportionally. I asked my friend and she thinks I'm a flamboyant gamine but I'm not sure. If it helps, I'm 5'2'' with size six (36 euro) feet.

Annika Orne: I almost always agree with your suggestions, but I actually prefer Katy Perry as a blonde! I heard it's her natural color.

B Bee: Hi Aly ~ Great video! May I ask what your body type is? My hair color and makeup is very similar to yours.

Giuliana Barbagallo: But Scarlett Johansson looked amazing with red hair

Starla Sell: What about gray hair for Dramatic? I have 0 contrast with soft blue (yellow inner ring) and a slight warm undertone. Just starting to go gray around my face...to color, or not to color, that is the question.

Leandra: We always enjoy!!! You are a gift for us!

samib0bami: "Avoid extremely bright colors" *has blue hair and is about to dye it a natural red*

Jeanne d'Arc: I have a question. I'm a soft dramatic so I understand very vibrant colors look good on me. My hair is black now and it looks great because of my body type but my skin doesn't look the best. I have a warm bright undertone and I think light brown/dark blonde (golden) color would look good with my skin. But do you think it's too "natural" for my body type?

Full Moon Rising: Love these! :)

Suzi Hazlove: Love your makeup here. Ty you're in of a kind!
