How To Apply Hair Color Glaze, By Theresa White From Beautiful People Salon

Hi everybody I'm Teresa from beautiful people salon and we're doing something really fun. Today, I'm actually recording a YouTube. Video ends: a live, periscope video and today we are working on the lovely Monica now. Monica actually already has an ombre in her hair, but has come in to get it touched up so Monica. Why don't you tell me what it is that you would like to achieve today for your hair color, so I've gotten a glaze a couple weeks ago. You know, and but I've been the Sun and the chlorine in the water it's kind of like velvet down, so I kind of just wanted to get a glaze so just kind of like own. It kind of give it a little bit more. Like you know, caramel color, okay, perfect, so you feel as if it's faded a little bit. It'S become a little dull and maybe even a little Capri. The Sun can definitely do that. I'M sure all you know at home, your hair gets really coppery during the summer out of the Sun. So the perfect way to fix that without having to totally do the ombre over again is just as simple. Please that's it's just for a few minutes and you're in and out within an hour or so, which is awesome so Monica it looks like you tend to go for more caramel, look in your hair Yeah right and is this maybe starting to get a little brassy On you yeah, I would say so: okay perfect. So then, what we'll do today is will do a glaze that maybe is a little bit on the Asscher side, but still very nice and rich and warm and beautiful just to brushing her up and make her feel. Like there's life again in our hair future, oh hi, Turkey, nice to have you with us today, definitely come back in when we're applying the Glee's for sure and then the after results. Okay, so we'll do that today. So what I'll do Monica is I'll get you prepped over you upstairs and we'll shampoo you. The hair needs to be nice and clean in order for glaze to take properly and then we'll apply it and then you'll just you'll stay in your relaxed and process. For a little bit and then when we're done blowing it out you'll be able to really see that light back in your hair. Again, thank you hi. So now we are onto the next step. I already have my consultation, and now we have to prep her for the glaze. Her hair needs to be freshly shampooed and nice and clean for the glaze. In order to take properly now, I'm going to ask Monica what type of hair she has do you tend to find that your hair is a little bit on the drier side, or does it tend to get a little bit more oily on you Aurelio's tends to Get a little bit more oily, so what I'm going to use is I'm going to use. Kerastase is shampoo for oily hair just to make sure that her blowout last as long as possible nice, you can. Yes, you definitely want to use water on the warmer side. That'S what helps not only is it like nice and comfortable for the client, but it helps kind of wash all the dirt out a little bit more loosens. Everything up is that too warm for you, that's perfect! That'S! Okay, nice and relaxing always raise get your hair wash is the best part. I always feel so refreshed from the shampoo more than blank and half the color. The cutter anything it's like is the best part for sure it's, your hair feel nice and clean smells great. So I'm actually going to use the the krisily shampoo. This is perfect for oily hair. It'S a very important yes, so the shampoo is definitely very important. You want to make sure that you use something that's color treated in order for your color to last. As long as possible, I always build if it's worth to invest into the shampoo, especially when you are investing a lot of time and money into your hair color into your style. We want to make sure that you're keeping up with that at home, you could totally go out and spend you know just a few dollars on a shampoo, but you'll see that you'll be in the salon a lot more often for glazes and that your hair won't Feel as moisturized and as healthy as possible, what shampoo and conditioner would you recommend for me for you? Well now we know what shampoo we need to use for you, which is for the oily hair, the crystal ease, yeah and knowing that you've lighten your ends in the past, they probably feel a little dry and a little frizzy on you yeah. So what I personally love is looking the least line. The conditioner is wonderful and since you'll only be focusing on your voice, you have to end with a conditioner. It'S not going to make your roots any oil. We can have this one. What do you love about? The salon having a relationship with the client yeah - I don't know so it's all about making them, feel good. Oh yeah, very important. You know they're not only coming in to get their hair done, but it's a nice pick-me-up. You know come in you last a little bit: some coffee relax man we're not going to position the hair just yet, when you condition their hair and you're now sealing the cuticle, so the color is not going to grasp as well we're just gon na make sure This towel dried, really well and be very gentle with your towel drying. So you don't work with the cuticle too much, and then the glaze will help seal the hair a little bit more and then it will be rinsing conditioned afterwards. Okay go for backup! I always make sure to be very gentle when towel drying the hair and don't erupted it up. I just kind of squeeze and blot some water out. The hair is in its most gentle state when it's wet, just when you want to be the most careful with it, I'm going to use a soft towel. You just want to block the hair like I am. You don't need to rough it up when you comb it out and make sure use a wide tooth comb. Nothing like too close together and tough on the hair say that again yeah I like to make sure I get as much water out as possible when the hair is written filled with water. It'S not going to absorb the color, or even if you're styling any sort of products as much as the possibly can, because it's already holding on so more got as much as possible. It'S going to be able to absorb it more so the colors can be richer and it's going to last a lot longer. Definitely you'll see if there's too much water in my hair, when you, ladies, when you go to dry you'll, see it's almost like little wishy-washy. Like it just didn't pick up the way that should have okay, nice, so we're all towel dry, we're just about 70 percent towel dried, it's still definitely wet. So it's going to be easy to pull me through, but it's dry enough. That is not dripping on us! So now I'm going to go, mix up the color and I'm going to come back and then I'll show you how to apply it hi we're about to apply the glaze now. So what I like to do is I like to section the hair, just besides in the back just to make it nice and easy, but still be very thorough, I'll start from the bottom and I'll work my way up her colors, mostly at the end. So I don't have to worry about the roots, so much, I'm just going to focus on the mid-shaft working with the hands and calming through just make sure it gets through to every strand we shock. I just love with the blades. You do for the hair. It'S still good, don't forget the whole water, China hair. It almost feel good he's doing a treatment to the hair. Cuz you'll feel that it's painted turned a lot as well. Afterwards, nice and quick. You have to spend too much time on the glue. They wanted to be an easy step for your clients to be able to choose there everything's back away from your face. So there's no color around today, focusing on iTunes, I'm going to put a cap on that. Monica and the ruins are practice for the full processing time we're just 20 minutes, so we can get with all of that and she can really get all that extra sunshine and moisturizing since our hair and 20 minutes hi welcome back stranger, beautiful people, so we have Our consultation with Monica freshen up her color could she just been in the Sun for way too long. We applied the glazing process and I actually blew her out and set her already with that on drives. We just loved to have that big bouncy, very beachy. Look so this is a really great way to achieve it. I got the set and really cool down in the hair, and so now I'm going to look it out. You guys can see the final result. I love to put some extra bulk on my things right in the hair, as well as the mousse just so that the curls can really set. Monica'S definitely has hair on the straighter side when air dried and blown out with the proper, the proper products it's actually holding that curl pretty well, which is really nice, tend to last you a couple of extra days as well, which is really nice. If you know you have a weekend-long filled with events that you have to go to a few extra places for the next day, this mousse is wonderful. You can kinda just run your fingers through your your boot again and everything just kind of pumps up beautiful, I'm going to lift her head upside down. You can shake it a little bit. It helps snorts again with that little bit of extra volume in the beer and it loosens up those curls. You can come back up now on, and here we have, it's got curly you know is going with extra these flyaways mumbles just a late cream. This is almost like a yes, I like to kind of like a lotion for the hair, so it's going to help moisturize the end a little bit as well as control. Some of those wires going on less is more absolutely just to trust guys amount of it in my hand, what the hell very almost very Victoria Secret out, great beautiful now you can see if her ends a lot richer than they were to begin. The ends were starting to look a little weight faded. Now we have that extra form here so blends when you're putting it into anything too dark to hide on bride. Monica is ready to go out. I hope you got a boy - oh my god great. It was definitely what I was going for, like the lighting, the color, the phone beautiful, but I'm so glad you like it and you can see you're the bridges, peaceful guy from that place, with extra shine, no spitting out as well. The blaze is great, if there's so many different things in one shot, and it puts just about an hour out if you're getting your hair afterwards. That was very empty way to just revamp your color without having 200 hours on end. Yeah hope you all lines alive is definitely fun, and I see you soon first coming here. Yes, you can check it out on our YouTube and on our periscope for beautiful people. If we're working
