Hi, i'm danielle. I do too much. I like hair, talking, cosplay, music, art and stuff hello, hello and welcome to star puppy. I'M danielle your resident weirdo welcome. Welcome to the weirdness. I would highly suggest that you join us in the deluxe weirdness aka. My patreon now today is about my blowout routine. If you've been paying attention to how i've been styling, my hair, except probably a couple weeks ago when i took on the twist out once more, i mostly wear my hair in two styles super blown out and super washed and gold, and that's like it now, when I wear wash and go. I probably wear it for like two weeks, maybe three. If i'm feeling real lazy and with a blowout, i usually get to wear my blowout for like a full week and then then i got ta do something with i got ta throw a braid in there or something i wear my blowout more often than my wash And go because it's fall and i can get away with it what humidity, and so i i have gotten pretty good at blowouts. For me, at least several of you have asked me what my blowout routine is because going from this to. This is a whole thing and especially because fluff nugget, my lovely head of hair, is a very specific kind of hair. By that i mean 4c everywhere um long length, which is medium approaching long extremely fine strands, that is to say every strand on my head is skin t and as far as density, okay guys, the jury is so literally still out on that. I really want to say a definitive answer, but i really don't have one should i is. Is that like a video i should make, should i try to figure out what density in my hair is? I don't really know how i would go about that, but it might be funny to watch. Let me know in the comments and i've realized that, like my head of hair isn't as rare as i thought it was through this channel and your comments. Here'S what you want to do you want to have a solid wash day. The key to a good blowout is to have an excellent, wash day, focus on moisture and cleanliness, and then patience enters the chat and takes its good sweet time. So, first and foremost, you want to have a nice pineappley viciously look at this. This was just decoration. It was already doing this, i'm a pineapple. I don't know who i think, i'm playing. Is there a stick in my hair yep, i'm aware pineapple now, if you haven't seen my updated wash day routine, i'm going to link it right here. What i'm going to do is i'm going to use a clarifying shampoo because we really want the hair to be super clean and my hair is uh filthy at the moment um it was then i noticed my mic died as editing danielle, and there is nothing i Can do about it? I'M sorry, then i'm going to do a deep conditioner with the 4c. Only deep, conditioner baby, yes, um apply some heat with my soft bonnet after that i'll see you back here for the blowout routine technique. Oh hello, voiceover danielle! Coming at you all of a sudden now the sun was setting and i had to go fast. So that's why i'm here now with each section, i wanted to really break down my exact technique. So, as you see here, i'm doing kind of a tension, method, kind of an anti-comb method. Uh i refuse to comb my hair or like brush my hair straight off, so i introduce the brush to my hair by gently lifting it up and placing it on the bristles, and then i just let it sit with the tension method for like a long periological Amount of time now, as you can see, that seems to have done nothing, but it did not. It took it from wet to damp and that's something so now that i feel that my roots have been expressed in a in a heat way. I feel confident to actually brush a little bit, but you know what we're going to hit those roots again with that tension method, because what are we doing, keeping every strand of hair? We can that's right. So then i move to the end of the shaft of hair, and i just wait now see see what happened now, we're going right back on the roof. That'S right! I have to exercise a lot of patience with my hair, but because i have such fine fine hair, i have to be really patient. Otherwise, it's going to snap see those last 30 seconds. It makes a big difference. So, even if it looks like it's not doing anything just be patient so for the last hit i just go tension method, very gentle, combing brushing and all of a sudden, it's all dry and it's pretty dang straight now, ain't it. So that was about five minutes. For one section, so you can imagine how long the rest of my head is going to take, but it's worth it enjoy this horribly sped up footage me. Thank you. Tiffany Silvera: I remember your hair struggles at the beginning And to see it now I’m just so proud of it! You are listening to your hair needs… that’s a skill I have yet to learn lol

Malissa Gill: Danielle you literally give me hope as someone who also has 4C hair. Our hair looks exactly alike in every form which I don't see every often and I kinda gave up on my hair and just wear protective styles but that if I get back at it and be patient I will see the growth in her. Your hair has come such a long way and it looks so beautiful and healthy. I love your channel!

Norcross Caduceus: Can we just take a second and appreciate how good Danielle looks even if she is in pajamas ....LIKE GIRL! Tell me ur secrets! Edit: Tysm for the likes !

charmander466: Girl start wearing twists. I did that starting at the start of quarantine and when I keep it up my hair does so well. I have essentially the same hair type. Just make them smaller and you can wear them down or in a ponytail, like i prefer. Keep it moisturized and redo them every two weeks at MAX (learned the hard way when I was lazy a few times) and youre gucci. If you really keep them up you can even wash your hair in the twists and redo them after wash day. I usually wash them in twists when I can, then take them out for my deep condition and redo my style how i feel that week.

AJ: I'm so proud of you!!! Your hard work has paid off, your hair continues to flourish!!!!❤️

vicky fox: 2:30 Yes! Make the video! Since density is calculated by how many hairs grow in a specific section, you could just take a microscopic picture (or a regular one) and compare it to a density chart!

Adeola Ash: Thank you for showing this process because I was sad and confused why my blowout wasn’t coming out straight and long like the girls on twitter and I use that same revlon brush. I didn’t know it took this much time and sectioning

Philly Jawn Lolo: On an unrelated note, I really hope Danielle makes another Christmas harmony I'll rewatch the other one, regardless. That was perfection

Jill Kealling: As a bald white bread girl, I am EXTREMELY invested in all aspects of Danielle's hair journey

Rhandeezus: Danielle I commend you for being that patient with your hair, and your patience shows! This just gave me the bug to blow out my hair just might do it before I get my hair rebraided! But thanks for sharing your method

Fatima Irving: I know you are so proud of how your hair is growing so healthy.

Michelle Rodgers: I got 3aish - 4aish thick hair and i love this tool, literally bomb. I’m excited to see u use it. I learned this year my hair gotta be stretched to retain length but i can’t be out here flat ironing all the time…so blowouts are key! I want to try and do mine like yours, less brushing and using it more like a diffuser.

Veronica Connell: Omg!!!! Fluffnugget looks so good!!!! You both have come so far and seeing the progression has been one I truly enjoyed!!

Gloria A.: I remember the very First video I watched of you and your journey with The Lovely Fluff Nugget back in 2018. I immediately subbed because I had the same issues with "SKIN-TY" hair strands. But, Ohhh, Momma, look how gorgeous Fluff Nugget looks now. I'm so proud of her and you too. I've used that same dryer twice, and both times I saw heat damage. I was using it WRONG, too. Thanks, Star Puppy.

iKandi: I mastered my blow out accidentally. I was doing a keratin treatment that recommended blow drying hair right after shampoo. No conditioner or leave in. I used a clarifying shampoo and a heat protectant…that’s it! But my hair came out so straight and silky before the keratin. I still do this minus the keratin. I just prepoo with a deep conditioner before shampoo. Blow drying works best on really clean hair.

cheslie burgess: Your hair is getting so long!! So happy for you

Virtuenow: Your hair looks great; and I love your technique of holding the sections - think I’ll try. Please note: You can do much bigger sections with that dryer. I have the same one. I think it’s less stress on the hair when you use bigger thicker sections (and hence, more retention).

Sharon Mcdowell: Yes, totally agree with you … she’s beautiful, inside and out. Great skin and such lovely personality. You rock girl. You are truly an inspiration to us 4 C ‘s. Thank you for keeping it really.

Edina Robinson: This is interesting. I haven't seen any one use that method when using this blowdryer.

S _Flow: I love how patient you are with your hair! Fluffnugget always looked good and she's getting healthier and healthier!

TwoBlocks: You’re so good at styling & caring for your hair now & your hair is thriving as a result I’m very happy for you & fluff nugget.

Okiemute Hope: the video Danielle and I have the same dryer. A tip I learned with that hairdryer is that it works better or damp hair instead of wet hair. If you let your hair dry a little bit ( i personally wait ~30 min to a anl hour) before using the dryer you will need less passes to actually dry your hair allowing the dryer to blow yout hair out more.

Philly Jawn Lolo: My hair betrays me way too easily All the heat protectant in the world, and I still fine bone straight strands. I've given up on heat, I'm way too fond of my curls to see them damaged.

MzEveyStylez: Your hair is flourishing ❤️❤️ beautiful glad you found something that makes blow drying easier.

Kenny Mun: Gorgeous as usual I bought one of these hot air brushes but it’s so awkward to use on my hair because mine is mostly ear length. I’m going back to hot combs

Dadine Albert: Amazing results!! Did you apply leave in conditioner and oil before or after blow drying your hair?

Jennie Janine: Dannie, have you ever tried the Rev Air? It's a great tool! Please do a vid whenever you get a chance to use it.

MissBrittneyofCourse: I have NEVER been able to achieve a blowout where the ends were actually straight like this, and I have this dryer too. Imma save this to try for when the protective style is out.

colaskunky: Oh my god that brush dryer is heaven sent. I spent way more money on a diffuser style dryer that I never touched past 2 uses because the attachments kept popping off when I'd try to give myself a blow out. But the Revlon brush dryer has just been my hair bestie. Your blow out looks amazing btw!

Simplymope: WOW! Never thought to brow dry my hair like that. Aight bet. Tomorrow is wash day before my protective style so I'll be sure to do it like this as I have the same brow dryer. Thanks!

Nnebundo Anna Obi: Danielle, your hair is so lovely. This is such a helpful video, my little sister and I will def try this technique

Lia Heart: Went through a break up and had a horrible hair set back I straighten my type 4 hair almost everyday my hair broke off very fast it’s been a year and I am finally able to hold onto some length again, DONT be lazy like me guys

P F: Dang you make the blow out look so good I might try to rock it!

porichechannel: I wish you a great christmas season ❤ i bought the same one only used it once but im happy with it... i used chi heatprotector also happy with that Some youtubers reccomended starting on 80% dry hair. Let it dry in a stretcht way. Goodluck next time around.

Sophia D-J: I had the same results with my 4c hair, although my shrinkage is a bit more than yours tbh!! But I still got the same results on my channel

Brandie Jiles: Hi Danielle! I too have fine hair strands and I feel it is my biggest struggle so I have been contemplating becoming a "blow dried natural" because it is so much easier for me . I find I don't get as much shedding but I'm afraid of the heat damage. How often do you blow dry your hair maybe over a 6 month span? And I have enjoyed watching your journey, your hair thickness has evolved. I am loving to see it!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Awkward 2 Da Core: I plan on blowdrying my hair with the same contraption/brush next week so this is excellent timing!!! Do you use any heat protectant at all? (I couldn't really see if you had the blowdrier on high or on low)

amoryll36: ‍♀️ I use this weekly to blow dry my hair Danielle you look fabulous sweetie

p: I like how she calls everyone a weirdo

Qwameesha Lewis: Very nice!!! Now.... does your hair shrink as soon as you go outside or does it stay nicely blown out? If it stays blown out once you're outside, what are you using to keep it from shrinking? I feel like no matter what product I use, my hair can never stay nicely blown out. As soon air gets ahold of it, it forms into a tight cotton ball lol.

Rain: OK, I love the wrapped-up "pineapple" protective style. Am I going to get my ass beat for saying that? I am learning about Natural haircare. I am fascinated. I am a professional colorist and just want to learn. I just think it looks so cute.

steph j.: I've never seen that technique using the Revlon brush. I'll have to share it with my sis. Thanks! ❤

YungaLove By Bethweezy: Hey Star Puppy, I was just wondering if you’d tried the dyson hairdryer, I have thick 4c hair and it hasn’t damaged my hair and in a pass or two on medium you can get the same result amazing time saver if you’ve got funds, I had to save up for mine best decision I’ve ever made plus it now comes with the Afro comb attachment and defuser

solarLola: I always look so tired and dehydrated after a wash day but you still look fresh

Purple Glitter: I just bought one of these today. Can't wait to try it. But I'm so nervous cuz my hair breaks so easily.

Kai San: Watching you gives me the confidence and the patience to do my hair

Felicia Dunn: Great hair content! Love your personality!

Key note: You are hella entertainingly treal with that deep condition and reality of patience in this lineage of black girl magic hair life. Totally sold on this device tho for technique as I’ve been considering a heat tool for the 1st time in like a decade of no heat on my natural hair. @revoln should be sponsoring you for natural 3/4a-c hair types and application/use with this product bc your final result is waaaaaaaay cute! Gracias mujer ❣️

Jamie Kirk: Thanks for the tip! Will definitely be trying the tension method!

MissJasmine 33: Look at you showing some length of all that healthy hair. You were blessed with a full hairline too. Keep up the fantastic care of fluff nugget.

Anna Walcott: I love how fluffnugget is flowing. You same method that you use I use for my hair and my daughter hair.

V’Dezdra _: Wow! Look at fluff nugget!! Really thriving! Patience and love is everything

Mo Sunshine: I have the same yool and I barely use it because I feel like it doesn't work as well as I wanted to... but here you are saving the day a video I never knew I needed ❤

Amber Sawyer: I have been on the same journey as you. Never found a channel I related more to!

Marilyn Anthony: Hi Daniel! I love the blowout. Have you ever thought about contacting Revair to see if they can send you the blower dryer to review?

Sapphire Reacts: i just bought mine and it was the best thing i ever purchased for my hair. it made blowing my 4c hair out so easy

FashionGirlNYC: Have you tried the TYMO hair straightening brush? It is would be great for type 4 hair.

Shanda Ward: Absolutely beautiful!

kapparhotau181: Interesting technique will have to definitely try. I usually can't get my hair that straight blowdrying it with this blowdryer

Ariana Edwards: I just ordered one for my hair yesterday. game changer. I use to spend hours in the mirror tryna get a specific look. ... That ish took 5-10 min with the heated brush

T K: Beautiful job!

Rishona Faustin: It's the pleasing aesthetic of the music and her beautiful smile and happiness for me

ItsUrGrlAisha: i literally bought this blow dryer during black friday — perfect timing

Lynelle L.: Hey great video! You could go in using the Blow Dryer Round brush now. It would smooth the ends out.

Aravia Newton: Wow you go girl your hair grew a lot it’s soooo beautiful.... fluff nuggett

bee: “Was there a stick in my hair? Yep.” Couldn’t relate to anything more in my life

rumy yahya: For how long did it take to grow your hair?

Survivin Helpstopreventapoptosis: "Was there a stick in my hair?" I FELT THAT

Señora Cheapee: That intro is adorable love it!

lfutrell82: I have that brush. I love it for blow outs. I use it on low instead of cool.

Hana: I used to use this but it pulled out too much of my hair. Now I air dry and use that new(ish) straightening brush with flat bristles. Soo much less hair loss and no possibility of burnt scalp.

Jake and Jazz: Your the reason I love my weirdness.

Adeola Ash: Did you use the brush on the high or low setting, I couldn’t tell when you switched it on

peachpetals: That thing causes so much hair breakage on my 4C hair though

D R-K: Fluff Nugget is thriving out in these crazy times, giving us joy and hope that we are going to make it! Fluff Nugget for the Win!

quicheah90: Can I ask when you got your industrial piercing, relative to your hair journey? Did you have to navigate the piercing healing and your natural hair? I want an industrial piercing but worried my hair is too short to pull back at the moment and it'd be brushing against the piercing constantly.

Loren Mudd: I would love to see a hair density video. I think the size of your parts is the way you test density — Like how much room between the two sides of a part.

Shiona Joseph: Thanks for the video, now maybe my blow out will look half decent, I use the same blow dryer

cookie6391: I would like to see you use a yellow bird blow dryer with the comb attachment

Rae Johnson: Bought one a few weeks ago life changing

Shanekia R: I’m going to try this!!

Melanie Graham: Fluff nugget She got inches your hair has come so far ☺️ it looks so good girl!

Epic Realist TV: It's beautiful and fluffy!

Lovely Advent: You're gorgeous and made a wonder tutorial.

Mo Sunshine: What are the products that you use to prep your hair before blowdrying? Any heat protectant?

Heyyy Eyyy: “Tension method” girl you just blew my mind

Goddess in Training: "This is just decoration"

Roxanne F: I absolutely love that blow dryer brush

Thembani Shiburi: Wow the legnght fluff nugget has grown soo much its beautiful to see that❤

Nobody You Know: Girl I know this is random, but has anyone ever told Danielle how pretty her eyebrows are? Like???

Adeola Ash: Did you try the water test for your porosity?

Haus of R.Lateish: Danny.... your hair! Look at where you came from to now. I love it!

Marry Dyles: I really struggle to get my roots when I blow out, any advice ?

A Wallace: Growth… we love to see it ☺️☺️

Tishara Doby: I need to learn how to derange my hair because for some reason my hair loves to be pulled out when trying to blow it out, comb or brush it.

Kenna Treola: I tried this on my hair on my channel and it was nice..

CeCe TotheC: Have you tried Miss Jessies Pillowsoft Curls? I'm curious how it works for 4c hair

Robinah. S: I LOVE the violin and guitar playing in the background, it's so soothing

Sugar pOps!: Bruh she looked so cute when her hair was all soapy {SCREAMS} she still looks cute after- {dead}
