[ Offscreen ] Turn around. ( explosion, ) (, gasp ), Oh my God, ( upbeat electronic music ) Today we're at Curls OneOnOne and we're gon na get curl makeovers.. So I've been straightening my hair for about 12-13 years.. I'Ve just recently started wearing it naturally curly.. I think I've been straightening my hair for about 15 years., Kids, they would throw paperclips erasers paper wads.. They could just try to chuck it into my hair.. Pretty much just straighten my hair everyday, since then. Society definitely made me feel pressured to wear my hair straight.. People would say that my hair was messy. Even my own mom would be like ,'' Brush your hair out, keep it clean ,'' and I was like ``. This is my natural hair. I don't know'' what to do with it.'' Back then. I just didn't feel confident.. I didn't feel like myself, because I had to pretend to be somebody else., But now I'm finally ready to see what it looks like having my hair curly everyday., I'm tired of damaging my hair.. I wan na embrace my curls more often.. Let'S get this haircut on the way. Hi, I'm Donatela. Alexis., I'm gon na take care of your curls today.. Okay, love talk to me about your hair.. My goal is to kind of give more bounce to my curl, get rid of the dead ends and really give it life again.. Maybe take a couple inches off and'cause. I know it's all dead. Hair.. Let me explain to you a little bit about the haircut.. They used to cut your hair before straight., It's not a bad cut, but it's not for curly hair, because it translates completely the opposite, because the top is pretty heavy and it doesn't let the curls bounce back.. So I want your hair to look more fuller in the back and we'll have more fun on the top.. They'Ll suggest you to not use too many oils for your hair.. I know curly girls would love oils, but we're gon na stay away a little bit from the oils. ( upbeat electronic music. ). Don'T use this for your hair.. This is the worst thing you can use for curly hair., It's all I use.. It really really creates a lot of breakage because it's super thin., The best thing would be something thicker.. So we're done with the haircut and now we're gon na jump to the styling. ( upbeat electronic music ). Your best friend for your hair is gon na, be water, conditioner, massaging., Water, conditioner, massaging. Just got it washed.. I look like a wet puppy dog right, now., ( upbeat electronic music ). You don't have to do this everyday, but you're gon na go out and want your hair curly you're, not gon na wait for hours for to dry.. You can take the diffuser and you're gon na. Let the diffuser do the work for you, because usually we do this, which it creates more frizz.. So all you do pretty gentle. You put your hair in a diffuser and let it sit. So the gentle you're gon na be with your hair when it's wet the better. It'S gon na look when it's dry. ( upbeat electronic music ). It'S like a spaceship okay.. I just have to wait for this to dry and the transformation is done. ( acoustic, guitar ). Oh my God, My hair looks unrecognizable.. Oh my God, my hair looks so pretty.. It looks like it shines.. Oh my God, I'm such a big baby.. So this is ..., Oh my God, Surprise It's so full and healthy.. It'S so crazy. It'S shiny And curly.. My curls were waves and now I feel like they're actually curls.. You worked some magic.. My hair feels like it's me., Dang it.. I feel like a new woman.. I know that's so cliche, but I feel transformed. I feel like I'm in a dream.. I don't think I've ever imagined. My hair was ever gon na look like this.. Now that I've learned all the things I've learned today, I'm gon na start wearing my hair, more curly, like all the time now.. I think I've just been doing it all wrong for so many years and that's why I've been kinda hesitant to wear it curly.. I don't know: Donatela has some magic hands., I feel like a queen, and I am ready to strut out on the streets of LA right now with all of this. ( acoustic, guitar, )

Lei Arnaz: As someone with curly hair I learned so much!

ManaWāhineKōrero: Finding a hairdresser that actually knows how to cut curly hair is half the battle. Great job.

Elizabeth Rhea Nat: The fact some people don’t understand that brushing curls is NOT an option lmao

Oh!MGlashes: I’m trying this tomorrow! I already use your products

less05 x: *Avoid oils* I never felt so attacked In my life-

Diamante Dea: People: wear ur hair natural more often!! Also people: ... why is it so messy... did you brush it!? :|

Vivi Rose: Something that makes me cringe *SO MUCH* is when my friends with straight hair will touch my hair, pull my curls apart, and brush their fingers through my hair and I'm just like *STOP*

Wendy Chen: 4:38 "OMG Im such a big baby." 4:55 "Dangit" Am I the only one who absolutely loves her personality?

Katie Crouch: So I tried this method just this morning and it WORKS! My curls have more bounce and are much more even. Putting gel in it while it's very wet and washing my hair upside down helped SO much.

oh: Everyone: *laughs at the thought of not using coconut oils* Woman in video; *laughs in certified professional hair specialist with a degree in cosmetology*

Chloe Elena: Growing up i realised everyone with curly hair wants straight hair and everyone with straight hair wants curly hair, well most people

dyanswill: "The gentler you are with your hair when its wet, the better its gOing to look when its dry." WORDS OF GOLD!!

fairyyberry: "Omigod your natural hair is so cute! Wear it down!!!" _takes out ponytail_ "Ew! Don't you brush your hair? It would look much better straightened." _spends literally 1.5 hours straightening it_ "Ew! Why is it so frizzy? Your hair looked much nicer when you left it natural" _has to wait like two weeks for hair to recover from being straightened only for the cycle to repeat_ This is why I've stopped caring about other people's opinions.

Andrea A.: The one that started crying was so sweet! She really gained some slef confidence. And she deserves it - she is RADIANT and has so much unique, natural beauty

crack: the worst thing is that im in the middle of straight and curly. like my hair doesn't have any obvious curls but it still has the frizz that comes with it. so it just basically looks like an untamed bush 24/7

Heather Fitzsimmons: *-Cut dead ends and possibly layers* *1 Don't use oils in your hair* *2 Use big hairpieces/scrunchies* *3 Do not stand directly under water flow to avoid flattening* *4 Wash with hair flipped upside down or to side* *5 Apply sulfate and paraben free shampoo from roots down* *6 Massage scalp and comb hair with fingers to stimulate hair growth (combs cause breakage)* *7 Apply conditioner from ends of hair and detangle up to roots* *8 With very wet hair (inside shower) apply a generous amount of gel to palms* *9 Smooth gel over sides of hair then scrunch up towards roots from tips* *10 Use a microfiber towel or cotton T-shirt to gently scrunch upwards* *11 Gently put hair in a diffuser (on blowdryer) and let it sit* *12 Place metal hair clips at roots of hair around the crown of the head to encourage lift while drying* *13 Air dry when possible for less frizz*

CG Riley: I'm a curly hair girl adopted into a straight haired family. My mom had no clue what to do so she just had them cut it. Then in high school I begged for a straightener because it was all the rage. I'm 30 now and finally embracing my curls!

It's Mel: I can’t wait to go through my curly girl journey! I felt emotional seeing these lovely girls get emotional about their hair. They rock it! I can’t wait for my curls to get there bounce back ❤️

Maddie Davis: when this video first came out, i took most of the advice and completely changed my hair routine, now 2 years later my hair is so much healthier and my curls have never looked better!

Maral Rooei: Wow those transformations were absolutely amazing! Totally encouraged me to want to wear my natural curls aswell! Definitely learned alot!

isabel hoch: On April 2nd, 2020 I started my curly hair journey and was scared. I told my family I wanted to stop brushing my hair and my mother was the only one who agreed. She helped me find all these healthy products (we were both subject to DevaCurl’s brainwashing) and our hair has never looked better! This video was one of many that pushed me to do it and now I’ll never take my hair’s natural form for granted

Maritza Palacio Romeiras: I feel like your essence is so much more defined when you rock the natural look! As a curly girl myself, I can relate to the difference it makes to have a professional teach you how to manage your hair! I’m not a gel fan, but I dig most of the advice the hair professional gives

Jen Donnelly: I found one of the major changes I made with my curly hair that fixed most of my issues is with how I get it cut. I’ve stuck to an a-line (I like a steep a-line) for the past 2 years and I’m in love with the wash-and-go ease of it. Makes my curls look great too!

Alanna Carlson: Thank you so much for this!!! I can tell that Alexis was really weighed down emotionally about her hair and she just LIT UP at the end. Such a wonderful thing to see. Maybe I'll feel the same way with these tips :)

Eliana Rose: I've been straightening my hair almost every day since middle school. One time I didn't straighten it and someone told me it looked like I just rolled out of bed.... I definitely have wavy hair and I feel like I can enhance my natural texture so I'm definitely going to try this!!!

Sarah M: Using a hair coil instead of just a regular hair tie changed my life! I have curly hair not as curly as these ladies I do straight on occasion but I love my natural curly Portuguese hair and the best product that ever worked for me for years was coconut oil and my sister just introduced me to cantu coconut curling cream and i will never use another product i love it so much ♡

S M: Great job, Donatela! Loved the transformation :) I have curly hair too and have been straightening it for a decade now; however this has inspired me to wear it natural from now on

Emma Winship: My hair's naturally curly yet I've only just started embracing my curls as I grew up brushing my hair and it felt weird to stop (everyone in my family has straight hair). This video really helped!

Jen Spisak: The red head reaction was so sweet, you could just see how she embraced her curls and herself

CapuRen: I've tested most of the tips mentioned in this video and I can guarantee, this lady knows what she is talking about. I recommend to try especially the shower-related tips, these worked wonders for my medium-length hair (liberal conditioner excluded, ain't got money for that). After I had to cut my hair shorter, this way of showering made the curls even a bit TOO strong, it worked so well. Scrunching up works also without gel, and especially with just a little bit of coconut oil; even if she said to be careful with oils, the keyword was "too many oils". So if you can't afford pricy styling products or tools, or the time, using just a bit of coconut oil for avoiding worst of frizz has worked for me (2c/3a hair). Keep fighting on, curly hairs!

SakuTibi: I felt so touched watching this and reading the comments... :') it made me to feel less and less alone that i'm not the only one with curly hair and curly struggles.. :') I recently (maybe one year already) that I started to embrace my curls. I'm loving them more and more and learnt the disaster when I brush my hair I only brush it when it is wet and applied with conditioner before washing it. My family they still bullies me for my hair and even starts a big fight for it thinking I am not taking care of it despite telling them the nature of curly hair... don't mind as my family are narcissistic and bullier since I was a child :') I want to know one thing...what kind of gel do they use...? Serum? Curly hair spray? Or what? :') There's a lot I need to leaen about taking care of my curly hair... Should I apply hair cream if i can't use oils? How many times should I wash my hair with conditioner per week? Sorry for the long comment...

sassypants66: The fact that these two women really discovered their curls for the first time is just so sweet. Thanks for sharing <3

Curlz And giggles: I’m so happy people are finally loving and caring for their curls ❤️ such amazing results.

Taylor Bays: This video is so inspiring. I love that it appreciates their curls instead of pressuring them to straighten it. As a girl with curly hair this was very helpful and confidence boosting. Edit:omg thanks for all the likes❤

Sarah: As a mother with thin straight her to a daughter with thick long curls, thank you I needed this help

LivyCat28: I recently started embracing my curls and I quit straightening it. I wish I had someone like her to help me come up with the perfect hair rutine with mebecause of how my hair is: long, curly, thick, frizzy and where I live it’s very humid And my dad is bald and my mom has EXTREMELY thin straight hair so no one really knows how to help me besides myself

Sarah Little: It's so refreshing to know that as a curly hair, I've been doing it right! Very reassuring

kar martinez: as someone who has curly hair but straightened it on a daily basis i identify with this. all of my family have straight hair, i took after my grandmother who had curly hair but i unfortunately never met her because she passed away. nobody knew how to style it so in every childhood picture my hair is a frizzy afro because my mom didn’t know what to do with it but brush the life out of it. i felt uncomfortable and different than everyone in my family. only when i met people who actually embraced their curls did i fall in love with mine. dont get it twisted, the damage that i had took *years* to repair but in the end i am so happy and satisfied with my hair, it was so worth the wait

Mikkie: I was born with curly hair, then when i was a toddler it went straight, when i was 13 it started curling, now I’m here, my mom with straight hair and doesn’t know how to do curly hair, I get my curls from my dad who keeps his hair so short that it’s straight. This video actually taught me a lot.

Megan: My daughter (3) has extremely curly hair, I'm hoping this helps me figure out how to make it looks its best. I've tried so many products, but it's such a learning curve!

Um chile: I'm learning how to style curly hair for my baby sister. I want her to have fun with her natural curls instead of hating it. She had protein for about 2/3 years and now it's time for her curls

Natalie Gouché: Donatela is my stylist and legit... after I got my hair cut with her a few years ago I have NEVER gotten my hair trimmed anywhere else. She made these curls POP and wowed me with what she did to my hair. And how she helped me understand how to care for it. The girls look gorgeous in the video!

Emma Marie O'Neill: Hey girls, maybe we should stop fighting about the classification of the curls or waves or coils and appreciate that these girls are finally feeling better about their natural hair. As a wavy/curly haired person the video was mostly stuff I knew but I definitely learned some things. Let's support each other because everyone's hair is beautiful beyond the labels.

Trash: I have wavy hair but I've spent the last 5 or so years straightening my hair. Recently cut it all off and its growing back full and wavy as heck. Nice to learn a few techniques to help embrace them waves

Monica C: This is so helpful! Thank you. I've been putting my hair in a bun for years and just recently started wearing it down and I love my curls but I have no idea how to style it or take care of it! This is going to help me so much ❤

Nayeli Márquez: so i found this video a time ago and it inspired me to do the big chop to rid of my heat damaged hair, now more than a year later my hair is healthy, long, and curlier than ever ! i get so many compliments now but the best part is when my mother (she has curly hair) nonstop tells me how wonderful it is to finally see her daughter with her natural curly hair. for anyone struggling to love their natural hair, don’t fight it instead bring it back stronger than ever.

Alena Y: They both look great! Nice tips, too. However, while you don't want to use too much oil too often, it is important for curly hair. Especially if you have problems with dry hair/scalp. I soak my hair and roots in several different oils that I researched to get the best benefits once a week and my hair has shown a LOT of improvement. The amount of oil you should use really depends on your hair health and texture.

Standing for truth: Does anyone else like me has hair that's neither straight nor curly but in between kind of like wavy?

Andreea L Nedelea: This video makes me want to let my hair grow back and rock my curls!

Anjelica Violetta: I have a straight thin hair, but i just love hearing the hairdresser. She sounds like my professor but my mother at the same time. She gave very informative tips and tricks, not being overly friendly / annoying, and not being judgemental at all. I really hope she can come again for the straight fine hair version.

Nicole Munoz: When I first watched this video, I thought the lady was wrong when she said not to use oils on curly hair. Fast forward a year later and omg she’s soooo right! At least for me I see a big difference when I stopped putting oils in my hair.

Patricia Star: This has honestly been one of the most helpful videos for curly hair and bringing it back to life

🌸 Barbie Babii 🌺: Love this video!!!! I been straightening my curly hair for years and these tips are helpful so maybe I can quit straightening and wear my natural curly hair!! Thanks so much.

Nicola Holgate: I use a Kerastase leave-in conditioner,a wide-tooth comb to comb though my curls(never use a hairbrush),and give a gentle rub with the towel to get out excess water and then let it air dry.The other thing is to choose a hairdresser who has experience cutting/styling curly hair

Floral Dove: Since middle school, I’d flat iron my hair or blow dry it pin straight since everyone in my school had straight , glossy silky hair so I decided to straighten it on a daily basis which lead to ALOT of heat damage . I had to deal with a lot of insecurities back then . But at the same time I had a lot of split ends and it wasn’t as how I wanted it to be . So I did what I had to do for the best of my hair, which was to let it breathe for once and not straighten it . It’s hard now and days to have perfect hair since society shows that we need to have this perfect image of straight hair , or waves etc . But in reality not everyone has hair like that . It’s okay to have frizzy curly hair because it’s part of you! :)

Fashionforever1234: As someone who has and struggles SO MUCH with my curly hair this video was very awesome! No one else in my family has curly hair and so for the longest time I got nothing but negative comments on my hair. But for the past 6 years I have been in a constant battle to perfect the curl routine! Definitely need to try some of these tricks!!!

DJUniMekaju: Well, I'm gonna try this after I get good with the protective hairstyle I want to grow my long hair back after stress and pregnancy caused a lot of fallout and breakage. Thanks, Boldly and Donatella.

Kavipriya Vijayakumar: This hairdresser is so sweet about the parts where they went wrong and try to embrace their gorgeous curls, mine made me feel like my curls were a sin and I should change my hair from being curly to straight ... it was truly horrible

Grinsekatze: I'm a "natural poodle" myself and I frequently (not all the time) straighten my hair. Those 2 ladies hair looked so beautiful after the hairdresser was done! Mine looks like that, too, after a visit to a hairdresser. But this effect only lasts for a day or two or until I wash my hair again. No matter how exactly I follow the multiple advises of the hairdressers and use the exact same products as they do, my hair NEVER looks as healthy and good again as it does right after the appointment! So, I still hate my curls and am seriously thinking about getting them "permanently" straightened

Rebekah McCaffrey: I LOVE when people wear natural hair, it looks so good ❤️

Charlotte D: Im 17 and my hair is already ruined with straightening it everyday, I’m self conscious about it, this video has helped me so much

GO AWAY: i have INSANELY thick curly hair and have straightened it all my life (hence my profile pic lmao) but this......this makes me really want to embrace my natural hair. i've had so many people say it's expensive and tedious and not worth it. but i'm kinda curious now.

Monica Yazmin: I seriously need a transformation like this for my curly/wavy hair

Ximinnie: OMG this are exactly the same steps that my curly hair stylist taught me! And it works ladies!!! My 2c/3a wavy curls are bouncy, bright and last for and entire day! I use natural products and i recommend you linseed gel (just boil the kindreds and keep the gel), it works magic!

Chocoleto Sama: I have the same story. I used to rebond my hair until last year that I decided to keep my natural curly hair. I'm loving it now. Thank you for the tips! I use hair mouse instead of gel, will that be ok?

Om rok: Im mindblown! No wonder ive been frustrated with my hair my whole life! I had no idea i was doing things all wrong ... Thank you so much for posting this.

Jenna Campbell: I have curly hair and I did the same thing, I would straighten it everyday but the damage was getting bad so I started wearing it naturally again. It took me a while to find products that work for me especially because I have dry greasy hair and I don’t like the crunchy feeling of product but now I always wear it curly and I get a lot of compliments on it

Dancing Waffle: I have to say, I recently started using the brand LUS, and it's changed my whole life. My 3c curls have never been better

Jana Elena: Lol, I figured out all of these things and more as a teenager, simply by experimenting endlessly with my hair. I don't understand how it takes some people until their 30s or 40s to learn basic things about their curly hair but I guess a lot just ended up straightening it for years and never tried out all the different products and techniques. It always makes me sad to see curly girls with straightened hair because I think most of them probably don't even know how beautiful their hair can look if they style it right.

Myat Lay Nwe: This video even made me cry as someone who has always been ashamed for my waves and curls to a point where i had a permanant straightening perm. But now I am finally gonna embrace my curls and let them grow out.

Tara: Best curling advise video I ever watched. It’s super easy. Super convenient. Not expensive products. Wow..

ً: this is honestly so useful, i just cut my hair and it got more curly honestly, so i needed help because it was wavy-ish before. my older sister that literally has straight hair knows better than me on curly hair care stuff- she really wishes she had curly hair, and i wish i had straight hair for the longest time, but it honestly isnt that bad now since its cut. i really like how it looks on me.

fia 444: Not all hair can follow the same routine even if it’s curly. You gotta find what’s best for YOUR hair.

Konstantina Kasiora: It's nice to finally see a curly hair video that is also addressed to people not only with very curly hair or very tight curls. My hair is similar to the red-haired girl's and it's one of the few times I've seen a video with tips and product suggestions that I can actually apply to my own hair. Usually it's either a video for straight hair or a video for, like, type 4 curly hair

ledraya davis: I just wanna let yall know your hair/curls are beautiful and never be ashamed for having them

Roshanay Bano: The fact that their curly hair are so beautiful is amazing. Tbh, there are some people like me who have undefined curls.. So I have to straight them. Curly hair routine works but not everyday. sigh

Jody Johnsen: It surprises me how many of these things I was already doing; the way to wash, air dry, protect-protect-protect, no heat ever. I don’t even allow normal hair dressers to cut my hair because they use their crappy shampoo and it takes 3 weeks to get it out. I wish she’d talk about gel brands to use.

Aya Farhat: I watched this ved a year ago and it was a hole revolution . It literally changed my life . It used to be straight with heat damage now it s perfectly curly

Pemmi Alcantara: The only thing that has ever made my natural curls look amazing is whenever i go to the beach, my hair somehow reacts really well to the salt water and leaves it looking sooooo nice! at least I know i can try this now so i don't just have to wait until summer to have nice hair.

cathkails: I have always been told to "brush [my] hair". When I was really little, I was the only one in my family with fine/thin hair. My older sister and younger brother had very thick hair, my younger sister had average hair and I had fine/thin hair. I also had the weakest curl pattern (partly to do with the fine hair not being strong enough to hold its own shape.). I would be told frequently by my family to brush my hair and I would tell them no because I didn't want to ruin my curls...their response would be "no, those aren't curls... it's just a rat's nest.". Ironic because you really aren't supposed to brush curly hair...and some how I knew this as a child. . I got the same sort is reactions from peers at school as I got older. I never knew I had wavy hair...I just believed I had "bad" and "naturally messy hair.". So I wore it up every day for 20 years. And if it wasn't up it was heat styled...either flat ironed or curled with a curling iron. I would NEVER allow my hair to air dry outside of a ponytail/bun because it would look flat AND puffy/frizzy at the same time. I couldn't stand what it looked like. My second child was born a curly girl and I started researching how to care for curly hair...as I had no clue. I discovered the curly girl method and learned about co-washing. I decided to try it out for myself, as I wondered if that was why my ends were so dry and not scalp so greasy. I've been co-washing (myself and my daughter) for 2 years now and I have only (in the last 2 months) started to actually wear my hair down consistently...and only now and I starting to accept "yeah, I do have wavy hair...this IS me..." My texture is quite mixed right now, but it feels like every wash lately my waves get curlier and curlier. Right now I have genuine curls in the front of my face and several spirals on the underside/back of my head, as well. I'm excited to see where my hair takes me. Finally starting to learn to love my hair.

Liv V: My hair used to be so beautiful when I was like 7-13 years old it was so long and the curls were super cute and healthy then I got into straightening my hair every day for about two years and I noticed so much damage it was terrible, I have stopped straightening it now and all my pretty natural curls are all gone, my hairs just a little bit wavy :(

DukeS: I've been doing the opposite of these steps all along. This is really helpful!

Angela Hagood: What a fabulous stylist! She listens then shows her expertise! I envy your gorgeous curls! Beautiful job!

Alisha: My hair used to be so damaged, to the point where it became wavy because I straightened it way too much when I was young. I just recently stopped straightening my hair about a year ago. It’s now healthy, and my curls are better than ever.

dizzie88: Wow. I have never related to a video so much. More than 15 years of my life straighting my hair and this actually helped!

Tara 907: My 1 year old daughter has curly hair and my hair is PIN straight, so I am trying to do my best for her sweet curls. Thanks for sharing this information!

Julianna H ꨄ: I love my curls. I'm happy that I have my Irish mother's hair. I love the compliments. I love it so much, I keep it waist length and trim it bi monthly. I use masks. I Care for it. That being said. I hate how hot it is, how heavy it can be. I hate how long it takes to brush thru in the shower. How much product it requires, bc it sucks everything up like a damn sponge. How much all those products cost. I loved that this said is no oils. Coconut oil makes my hair fall out Bc I have so much protein in it already, and its overkill. I love that it said to use a t shirt, I've been doing that forever. Flipping over in the shower, all that. Good advice, all around.

MrzBadaBing: im a hair stylist and this almost made me cry! I would be heartbroken when curly haired girls would complain about how much they hate their hair because they dont know what to do with it until i educate them on how to have a routine, what products to use and how to style they are so shocked because they thought everyone had the same routine. Curly hair girls need moisture and not use products with a lot of alcohol in it because curly hair is naturally dry.. the best part is you dont have to wash your hair so much. just rewet your hair and you activate the products again and style.

Chawan & Hemin Vlogs: THIS IS GOOD!

Emma Doherty: Speaking from personal experience, oils are perfectly fine for your hair as long as you have a shampoo that is effective. For example, coconut oil isn’t moisturizing, but it can help to lock in moisture, so you want to make sure the next time you wash your hair well.

Pinomi Boss: I have curly hair and have been straightening it for years, never affected my curls because I only straightened my hair like once a month. Then one day my straightener broke so I borrowed a friends, she had the Halo straightener and it was amazing, straightened my hair in like one stroke, I loved it. Fast forward a few days, I wash my hair, I noticed it was wavy and not really curling back up after I dried it so I washed it again, tried different shampoos but nothing worked. My curls were well and truly gone, one time using the Halo straightener and it had completely burnt out all my curls, I had like semi-straight wavy hair and all of it dead (my hair was also down to my waist, and the whole lot of it dead). Smh. Took me so long to get over it, I was heartbroken, my hair was so thin now and breaking, absolutely crushed me that my whole head of hair was just flat with heat damage from using someone's straightener just one time. It's been almost 2years now and my regrowth coming in is my natural curly hair, I am so excited to have my curls back, still a long way to go thou before my curls are long again. Be careful what straighteners you use on your hair and don't straighten every single day, embrace your curls cos when they are gone for good, you'll be heartbroken like I was.

Marieze: As a woman with curly hair, I appreciate this. Most of us don't know how to take good care of our hair :c

Kung-Fu Kenny Family: Props to the hairdresser she's so professional and made girls look so attractive .

kelsey ann: As someone with curly hair I often wish my curls looked better but I’m really loving my curls right now!

Malia: OMG I can't believe I didn't realize my natural hair was curly. I keep trying to get it to go straight, everyday felt like a battle. After it was kind of straight, it would look really bushy towards the middle to end. The knots are the worst, I would spend 1 hour a day detangling my hair and I was left mad because I was thinking why is my hair not working with me. It was because I wasn't working for my hair. So not even a week ago I just said after I wash I'm going to let my hair be natural no combing. I see tons of curl everywhere, then the lightbulb turns on because I had just learned I had curly hair. In retrospective it was my mom who kept telling me I always had straight hair, it's sad but she wanted me to have straight hair. I think she's in denial too she's always at the Hair Salon twice a week and her hair is wavy so I know she be fighting it.

Morgan hendler: Omg this was soo helpful, I have pretty curly hair but since it never looks good (Business Case I did everything wrong) I was either straighten it or brush it out until it frizzed to 3000 times its size then braided it. Thank you sooo much for this video, trying tomorrow morning

Divina Lord: This is so cool ! I have straight hair but I’m in with my mom’s curly hair journey

Ash Mohd: That hairstylist is actually amazing and the tips she gave are great

Audra Rose: I have curly hair, all my life I have treated it like it was straight... recently I have been taking care of my hair and all my family and friends freak out whenever they see all my curls. I’ve heard a lot that people feel pressure to straighten but everyone I know thinks curls are beautiful... thoughts?

Madalena Branco: these videos inspire me to let my hair be the way it is
