This is a question from aisha. She says: can you please explain what body hair can both males and females remove, so we have hairs on our bodies that we are prohibited from removing and we have hairs on our bodies that we are obliged to remove, and the third category is the hair that We are not told to remove nor order to keep, so it is permissible for you to do whatever you want with that for a man. It is a must that he does not remove his beard and not to come in contact or touch pluck cut or shave. His eyebrows, so this is okay, understood, there's no problem in that the prophet haslam has forbidden us from shaving the beards and he told us to go against the jews, the christians and the fire worshipers and to keep it to honor it to grow it, etc. Now the women don't have beards actually, but if they do, they are obliged to remove it because they are not allowed to imitate men, as men are not allowed to imitate women by shaving it. Women are also prohibited from plucking their eyebrows, and there is a an authentic hadith in buhari and muslim narrated by abdullah bin masrudmi, who said that the prophet had cursed, allah, the women who plucked their eyebrows and those who it is done for them. Okay, this is haram for women, what is obligatory, to remove well for men and for women they're, obliged to pluck the armpit hair and to shave the pubic hair - and this is part of the 10 characteristics of fitra of nature, which was reported by mother. Aisha stated that the prophet allah is ordered us to remove these and not to exceed 40 days now. Having said that, you can shave the armpit. If you wish, you don't have to wax it, you don't have to pluck it and you could do the same with the pubic hair. If you wish - and this is up to you, but you have to remove it totally. The rest of the hair is permissible. So for women they can remove the hair on their arms on their legs. No problem. Of course they can't remove the hair on their head. They cannot shave. This is totally prohibited for men. It'S the same thing: they can you remove the hair on the the arms on the legs on the chest and if they want they can shave or trim the hair on their heads and allah knows best. You

Fahim Liakat: HADITH REFERENCE: (1) Ibn `Umar said, The Prophet (ﷺ) said, 'Do the opposite of what the pagans do. Keep the beards and cut the moustaches short.' Whenever Ibn `Umar performed the Hajj or `Umra, he used to hold his beard with his hand and cut whatever remained outside his hold.[Bukhari: 5892 & Muslim: 260] (2) Narrated Ibn `Umar: Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "Cut the moustaches short and leave the beard (as it is).[Bukhari: 5893 & Muslim: 259] (3) arrated Zaid bin Arqam: that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: Whoever does not take from his mustache, then he is not from us.[Tirmidi: 2761 & Musnad Ahmed: 2738] (4) `Abdullah (bin Masud) said. Allah curses those ladies who practice tattooing and those who get themselves tattooed, and those ladies who remove the hair from their faces and those who make artificial spaces between their teeth in order to look more beautiful whereby they change Allah's creation. His saying reached a lady from Bani Asd called Um Yaqub who came (to `Abdullah) and said, I have come to know that you have cursed such-and-such (ladies)? He replied, Why should I not curse these whom Allah's Messenger has cursed and who are (cursed) in Allah's Book! Um Yaqub said, I have read the whole Qur'an, but I did not find in it what you say. He said, Verily, if you have read it (i.e. the Qur'an), you have found it. Didn't you read: 'And whatsoever the Apostle gives you take it and whatsoever he forbids you, you abstain (from it). (59.7) She replied, Yes, I did, He said, Verily, Allah's Messenger forbade such things. She said, But I see your wife doing these things? He said, Go and watch her. She went and watched her but could not see anything in support of her statement. On that he said, If my wife was as you thought, I would not keep her in my company.[Bukhari: 4886] (6) Narrated Ibn `Umar: The Prophet has cursed the lady who lengthens her hair artificially and the one who gets her hair lengthened, and also the lady who tattoos (herself or others) and the one who gets herself tattooed.[Bukhari: 5937] (7) Narrated Ibn `Umar: The Prophet has cursed the lady who lengthens hair artificially and that who gets her hair lengthened in such away, and the lady who practises tattooing and that who gets it done for herself.[Bukhari: 5947] (8) Narrated Ibn Abbas: The Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم cursed women who imitate men and men who imitate women.[Abu Dawood: 4097 & Sunan Ibne Majah: 1904]
Qodeem: Talking about shaving or cutting beard - This is depends on what mazhab you’re following , if mazhab imam Hambali yes it is haram to shave it, thats why you see the Afghanistan and some people in mekkah have long thick beard and such. However, in mazhab imam Maliki & Shafi’i it is maqroh to shave or cut your beard this is because Rasulullah SAW love having beard.
Sana Siddiqui: The third category includes. Unibrows . Women are totally ALLOWED to remove unibrows And not pluck, shave or thread their eyebrows in order to give them any shape !! If they are alot alot bushy, you are allowed to fix them a bit, but not shape them !

om sh: I don't know the reference of Hadees. Hadees were collected around 110 years after the death of last prophet. So one cannot be sure exact excat words transition from generation to generation. But if it's even true... That doesn't define a person a perfect or imperfect Muslim. Mandatory things are praying fasting huj zakat and more importantly being well mannered and humble person in the society and Infront of Allah. Trimming should be fine. If someone having bushy brows. Why pulling of facial hair could have been discouraged we don't know yet. Science may have some answer. Allah is very kind and merciful. About under hair. It should not be left cut or waxed or shaved more then 40 days or longer then the grain of rice. This recommendation came as a sunnat. A continuous practice from prophet. May Allah guide us...
