How To: Eren Yeager Messy Bun

In todays video, we recreate Eren Jaeger's long hair hairstyle which can be interpreted as a messy man-bun.

I won't lie. I wasn't aware of Eren or Attack on Titan prior to making this video but after having been advised to look into the series, I am hooked! I'm yet to see the evolution of Eren Jaeger and with that; his long hair transformation but I'm enjoying the journey so far.

This has been by far my most requested video in a long time. Today'S hairstyle is a messy man, bun inspired by erin from the series attack on titan we're going to be looking at hair measurements. What you will need, and, last but not least, the step-by-step process in achieving this hairstyle. As always, if you find this video helpful or you enjoy throughout a thumbs up is greatly appreciated subscribe. If you haven't already it's free to do - and you can always change your mind later, but without further ado, let's get into the hair measurements - here's the sort of length i have at the moment i've been growing my hair for close to two years. You could get away with having moderately shorter or longer hair for this style. You will, however, need to have been growing your hair out for at least a year, so other than a blow-dry, i'm going to assume that i have no hair products or accessories to do this hairstyle. So with that being said, let's head out pick up, what's required for this hairstyle and see what our local drugstore has to offer. If i land this tray, you have to like this video okay. So to recap this is what we got. We got some hair bands for the obvious reason that we'll be tying our hair. We then got a hair oil. This is a heat protection, hair oil and it was on offer and because i have about 17 bottles of hair oil, i don't really want to be spending too much this, so so good and so underrated for guys. I first used the tangle teaser earlier this year. As you can see, it is marketed as quite like a feminine product, but if you have long hair, it is a must like this does what it says it does it detangles the hair with minimal putt? Oh, my god, it detangles the hair with minimum tug and pull, and then last but not least, we have this detangling cream um. This is by the brand maui again. This was on offer, so definitely look out for those offers like. If you see, if you see something that looks appealing like go for it, this is paraben and sulfate free. So i'm gon na kind of use this as my styling product, as well as like a pre-styler um, while i'm combing my hair and whatnot. It'S also packed with ingredients that are catered toward dry hair so again, a pretty solid product, we'll just have to see how it works and so moving on to the step-by-step process, starting with clean hair. We begin by parting, the hair down the middle. So it's easier to manage using the tangle, teezer and then apply a generous amount of hair oil, ensuring i get an even coating throughout the length of the hair. I then run the tangle teezer through the hair to evenly distribute the oil. The good thing about this comb is that it won't cause excessive breakage, even if your hair is wet, which is when it's most vulnerable. I then apply a small amount of detangling cream to make the hair manageable and responsive during the blow drying process. In other words, it's acting as our styling product for this hairstyle and much like the oil we're aiming for an even coverage throughout the hair. You could, in theory, leave the hair to air dry at this point, but for the sake of this video we're cueing the blow drying segment, i start without rhyme or rhythm, and just try to dry as much moisture as possible with the blow dryer. Once i'm happy i'll start interchanging between brush and blow dryer, so i'll blow dry a little and then comb the hair into place blow dry, a little and then comb and so on. Until the hair is about 90 to 95 percent dry. We then move into the tying of the hair. Let me know if you'd like a video on effectively tying your hair by posting in the comments down below, but for now i simply start with the band on my dominant wrist and begin accumulating. The hair section by section where you place your bun will depend on your hair length and preference. Personally, i like to have quite a high bun, which sits on the crown of the scalp. I tend to imagine holding a tennis ball on top of my head until all of the hair reaches into the bun. I loop the band around twice, which ultimately depends on your hair type and thickness, as well as the hair band that you use with our hair. In place, we're going to start pulling some strands out from behind the ears. Remember this is an inspired look, not an exact replica of erin's hairstyle generally, when growing out your hair, you want to aim for uniform length all round, as opposed to having shorter strands at the front which erin has and so to compensate. This is why we pull hair from behind the ears to give a similar but again inspired, look and once we're happy with the strands we've pulled. You want to twist these houses if you were braiding them and then, with a literal touch of hair oil, you lock the curl into place and that pretty much summarizes this hairstyling tutorial. It'S easy to do and replicate assuming you have a sufficient amount of hair length in the description. You'Ll find any tools, products or accessories that i've used in this video again a thumbs up is greatly appreciated if you enjoyed it. Also lets me know you guys like seeing these types of videos subscribe. If you haven't already to keep up to date, it's free to do - and you can always change your mind later and for the odd bit of hair and spot or lifestyle clip, be sure to follow me on instagram at lucazade. But that brings this video to an end. Thank you guys very much for watching and i hope to see you all in the next one. Take care guys bye,

Steven Vu: Barber: Whatchu want? Eren: Freedom Barber: I gotchu fam

JP Swiss Nut: I’ve literally been growing my hair just to have it like Eren

alex nguyen: can you do a general pixis inspired look?

Hassan CR: 3:39 YESS! PLEASE DO A VIDEO ON EFFECTIVELY TYING THE HAIR

nutmalone: Me who cut my hair: this is torture

Butcher of Blaviken: imagine doing this in prison, dim light, without product and muttering tatakae to yourself

Where Is My Maserati: *The real reason why I’m growing my hair out.*

Viktor Godaly: I've been watching your videos since I started growing my hair out, now 2 years later I can finally actually try these hairstyles haha! Thanks a lot for the amazing content :)

Azure Nights: I've been growing my hair out for about a year now all because you inspired me to (and lockdown). Honestly it's the best thing I've done. Ive had mixed reviews from friends and work colleagues but I have definitely learnt to NGAF what other people think because I'm happy with it. So it's really boosted my self confidence. At the end of the day, having long hair doesn't affect how well I do my job or affect my personality, so if people don't like it and aren't interested in me then they aren't right for me ‍♂️

Smh BreeZy: ive grown my hair out 2 years and its curly and been wanting to find a style that i love and i just loved this tutorial

Apollo XBL: Once my hair is long enough, I’ll be coming back to this video

Christopher Lopez-Rios: Hey Luca! Just wanna say that your videos are awesome and informative! And I’m also going to grow out my hair! Thanks for everything!

H C: To Luca and everyone in the community, question for you: I’ve had long hair since I was 12 and I now 28. Currently my hair is past my chest (So super long ). My hair is extremely thin and very fine. It also can get a bit greasy/oily after a day or two without washing. But the ends of my hair are fairly dry. I definitely need a proper haircut but with covid in my region I’m unable to at the moment. I usually shampoo twice a week max. You use hair oils and hair creams to style. Would you recommend using a hair oil if I already have a bit of oily hair after a day or two? Wouldn’t it make it worse? What would you recommend to someone with my type of hair. Warmest regards, Hunter

Ali Hathiary: I recently discovered your channel and I can't stop watching..... your hair type is exactly like mine i have been on this hair growth journey for about 6 months now.... thank you for uploading such videos ❤️❤️

Pedits: Hi Luca, I have been growing my hair since March 2020 and now reaching a crossroads on whether to go for a medium cut now the ‘lockdown project’ is over or to continue growing. I have thick wavy hair and do contemplate the idea of having shorter sides again! Could you do a video for people who may be in a similar scenario now lockdown is easing again? Thanks!

Johnny A: Thanks you bro I’m going for this look

HIMANSHU SHARMA: Man I was literally trying to get this look till I saw the Eren in this hairstyle & you just made a video on this so thank you for helping us out.

Evan: I'd love a guide to tie hair properly, I've never grown my hair out and I'm riding the trend of doing it in covid haha

Benjamin TRNT: Editing on the videos just keeps getting better and better. I for sure would benefit from a hair tying tutorial, can never seem to get it right.

Clarky: Hey Luca, I've been growing my hair out for the past year. Definitely would like to see a vid about how to properly tie your hair, would really appreciate it!

Eren Jäger: I've been letting my hair grow for 6-8 months and I can make a bun, it reaches right after my jaw

Abdul mateen: Please make a detailed bun tutorial, I've been growing my hair out and I would really appreciate it.

Austin James: that was informative ....thanks :)) ive been growing my hair fro about an year now and i still dk how to *actually* do a man bun or how to tie it effectively so it'll be really helpful if you could do that vid thanks again and youve kind of been my inspo for longer hair :)

Nmz: On the first of July i've completed my 1 year journey of growing out my hair. The longer it gets, the easier to handle it becomes.

Shayan Malik: the edits are getting insanely good, sweet stuff dude

yash Naik: there is no point to dislike you bro.. always great content

Steve-in-Cornwall: I envy your gorgeous long hair. I hope you keep growing it longer and longer.

Abid Shaikh: been following you since day one,my hair length is the same as yours gonna try this right way!

Anonymous Caveman: I'm not even going for this style of hair but found this video super interesting to watch. I NEED THAT TANGLE TEASER!

Jed Aron: I naturally have this hair style when I tie my hair because I have hair on the sides that don't quite make it to the bun.

Snappy Snap: Trying to grow my hair out. Its in an awkward state but it will be better after a while. For the next video can u do a beard line up cause ur one looks rly good

alessandriraphael delacruz: I'm growing my hair for about 8 months now and I can tie it in a half bun and I target Eren's hair as my drive. I still got 4 or more months to go. Goodluck me.

Meshan Kharbuli: Started watching your videos during lockdown. And 1 yr later, I've got long hair. Thanks for the inspo & don't even think about cutting that hair.

Jay Perez: “If i land this trick, you have to like this video” ha ha joke’s on you, luca. i liked it the second it started cause i know your videos are always amazing xx

Gabriel: I think that i'm going to need this detangling hairbrush ahah thanks Luca !

Crazy Code: literally why i started watching you, so i can learn to grow my hair out properly for his haircut.

Soliman Hamarnah: Hey awesome vid! I'm growing my hair for the first time, it's slightly curly. Not sure but if I still put it in a bun, you think it'll still kinda work?

Wolf ___: My mum finally allowed me to grow out my hair so I can finally do this hair style

Tony Singleton: I didn't realize you all had Krispy Kreme doughnuts in the UK! You have lovely thick hair, which is something that we older men with long hair don't always have, sadly. You're quite an entertaining person to watch in this video, and your handsome face and beautiful teeth make it even better!

Gecko.: Make a bun tutorial, I'm having issues keeping all my hair in the bun while I'm tying it, so id greatly appreciate the video!

Who?: Growing it out for 3 months so far, don't give up fellas! in 1 year i'll come back to style it like this

Simon: 2:42! You are brushing ’incorrectly,’ it’s much easier brushing from the bottom going up, trust me. Otherwise, the tangles from the top will be brushed down and then clump up easier with the tangles on the bottom.

Ludicrous: Also how do you get your hair to have more volume? When I come out the shower it’s long but it’s quite flat and thin and dry after. I use hair oil and conditioner, I never apply heat to my hair so I don’t destroy my hair but it never has volume on top, always flat and then gets volume at the back and sides once it’s down. Any tips on this?

Tamás Kalmár: I wanted long hair because you inspired me, and i started about '20 oct. I cut it in jan or dec because I didn't felt it comfortably, and not fit my life style. But I think i could live with a man bun

Harley: Ive been growing my hair for 2 and a bit years now, only thing is I got a taper not too long ago and idk how well this style would work lmao

Vahida Rehman: Wow amazing Thankyou so much for sharing

majorasmask_: i keep watching this video on a daily basis while waiting for my hair to grow

Scrubing: Man you inspired me to get a manbun!

Bryphidtheneck0403: Could you possibly make a vid on how to tie that manbun from the back because I just cant understand how you're doing it. It's a manbun version that I've never seen before and it looks good but I just don't know how to learn it. I've learned many over the past 3 years of growing out my hair but that one is specifically confusing for some reason.

Dг.Fλiltastic: Yes please on the effectively tying hair video, I always screw mine up somehow, or make it too tight.

A P: yes to both beard trimming and effectively tying hair videos!

Levi_ Rx: I was eagerly waiting for you to make this hairstyle video...!!!! Love from India

IIT Aspirant MS: To be honest, I inspired from Luca for growing long hair.. even I too want to look handsome like him(Luca).❣️❣️

KIIXN: Please make a video on tying hair effectively. I'm about 14 months into growing my hair out.

Danilo Marjanovic: Alright boys,i'm currently watching this to get the hair, and i'll be working on the body, gonna be a tough journey but i'ts gonna be worth it.

Cheshire Cat: Quick question, what products do you guys use to make your hair more healthy ? Mine is a bit dried out, and curls up at the hair’s end.

Sam Barrett: Man, I already loved your videos but now you post this I’m definitely trying this

[ DEADMAN ]: Many will try, few would succeed at this hairstyle

Eddie Sober: Hi Luca, I really like your videos, but wanna ask if there is any tips from you, to control or to rid of the baby hairs along the hair line. I've tried to find them in your past video, but it's not easy. Thx!

Someguy Xoxo: I just started to grow my hair out for this hair style

Gerard Gery: that's pretty awesome, too bad my hair won't let me do that.

Hardik Sharma: I was thinking when you'll make this video and walla here you go thanks man

ComicalWorlds: could you do summer hairstyles, because summer is coming up and hopefully boris doesn’t ruin summer for us? thanks love your videos

David: What I’ve wanted to see is John Frusciante’s 1989 red hair man bun look, it’s messy as well.

David: Thanks to channels like this I finnaly grew my hair long

Brandon M: I have the same Tangle Teezer its so good

Nick Sibilla: Would love a hair tying vid. Working towards this and basically a jon snow bun hybrid.

Chrollo: I had my hair like Eren's before he even had it that way in the manga lol

Gaspar: any tips on tying curly hair? my hair is super curly and the hair tie gets all tangled sometimes and its super frustrating and yes i detangle it everyday lol

LoganisaBIGBOY: I’ve been growing my hair for one year today. One more to go baby

Deak: For beginning to grow your hair out would u recommend I shaving it all and then going from there or not?

INTERNATIONALLY LOCAL: what can you recommend for hair that gets greasy quite quickly?

Dragon Negro: You look great with this length of hair

Dudeli: Luca, would you consider taking anti hair loss treatment if you would notice your hair is clearly receding ?

Luke Soule: 0:56 that edit was sick!!

Supa Poopa: I would love a video on tying up hair!

Dario Campos: You found the best trendy title of the season, congrats for the 1M views in few weeks Luca! :D

Juaquiqui-kun: Doesn’t eren have some portion of the back of his hair down?

Steven DelValle: Eren might have done something similar to this and that possibility in and of itself is hilarious.

gizzyhinds: lmao i've been following you for a good minute and i was wondering when will this man make this the after watching eren's new hairstyle

Loven: Hey luca, what would you say your hairtype would be? Thick/thin/fine/porosity/straight(slightly wavy)?

Robit Thapa: I Love the fact that ur a skater too Thanks to U I feel easy to use Bobby pins ✌ im at 16 months of hair growth

Kanza: The vibes in this video are immaculate
