Testing Tiktok Hair Bun Hacks!

Today, I'm testing more TikTok hair hacks that revolve around buns, messy buns and low buns. I'm going to see how easy all of these hair hacks are and if I'm able to achieve these hairstyles with one try. Most of these hair bun hacks were featured on girls with long and thick hair. Let's see if any of these hairstyles look good with my medium length fine hair.

I'M back with more Tik Tok hacks for your hair.. This is all about messy buns.. How to make your messy buns look better, how to make them look prettier, but also really achievable., And you can do it. Yourself., (, claps ). So let's begin with the first one. And of course most of these hacks, all the girls have really long hair and a lot of hair.. Let'S see if we can make these work. First one, it's all about how you play with the messy bun and how you tie everything together.. So this one's going to be tiered., You begin with a ponytail where you want the bun to sit. We're gon na. Have it pretty low. Make sure to tie it off.? So you split the ponytail in half, you have a top and bottom section, and then you wan na have another little clear, hair elastic a smaller one. You're gon na create like a little knot But have the rest of the hair hanging down.. So then, I'm gon na take this top section and basically wrap it around that tiny little second bun that I did. All right. So basically you take that top section. You wrap it around the little bun and then you take the bottom section. That'S left of that tiny bun and you basically kind of go the opposite way and hold those sections together and then use the hair elastic underneath that we first used for the ponytail to secure it all together.. It'S supposed to be messy and it's supposed to be kind of like tiered., So definitely kinda go back in ... Loosen some of that bun up, but it's supposed to be pretty loose but tiered.. It'S all about just kind of using your hair elastics, but no bobby pins, but making it look really on-purpose but loose., But I think it actually looks kinda cute.. I think the biggest thing with this hack is the initial bun that you make you don't wan na make it too loose because I feel like then it's just gon na look really droopy and unfinished, but I think you can really make this work even for shorter Hair. Not too short.. I feel like my length, is like the perfect length right now., Just because you still have a little bit of hair left over to really wrap around the bun., But from what I see, I'm giving it a good 8.5 very easy to achieve. And I have all of the accessories that I need. And it feels pretty secure.. I like it., We're off to a good start. You guys. Woohoo, So this one is using a scarf hack for a top bun.. Let'S go for it., So you start off with a ponytail at the top. Basically, where you want your bun to sit., So then you take your ponytail and then you bring it forward.. You take a clear elastic and you tie it off, basically, where your layers end., Like you wan na, make sure most of your hair is in the ponytail. See like this right here. I kind of have to make sure it's all in together., Then you take the scarf just kind of make sure it's somewhat even and basically start rolling towards my head.. I'M gon na try to tuck these in here.. Keep it somewhat tight and then you secure the back. Okay. This is not bad, but I feel like this is good for people with shorter hair or people that have very minimal layers.. That way, it looks better, but you can definitely make this look a little better by just using some bobby pins. And it's definitely more of like a sock, bun type of a look.. It'S not like a messy bun.. I'M just gon na keep some of those hair. Out'Cause, I think it looks better.. What do we think? I give this a good, solid, seven out of 10.'Cuz. This was easy., So this next bun, hack or bun trick is literally how you tie and twist your bun.. So let's go for it.. You basically pick up your hair, ... hurrr.. I think these buns. They need that hair out front.. So then you go in the back and instead of taking your hair and kind of going underneath, you basically pick your hair up and create like a waterfall.. So let's do that first step., I got this y'all. [ Andrey ] Got it Yeah there. You go. It's better to go in between your fingers right here.. So then you take the waterfall and you bring it over the bun like so underneath and then you tie it off., I would say kind of works, but again you have to play with it.. You see like this hair. You have to make sure you kind of do a little nice whoop around the bun.. So let me redo this quickly. ( baby cries ) to make it look. Better. Yeah, I feel like. If you have layers or shorter hair, it's just yeah. It'S definitely better for shorter hair. I feel like. Yeah see It still falls. Out.. I'M gon na try to make this work. I feel like. Maybe I should secure it like twice. All right, it's a little bit better, but still like I said I feel like it's a little too big. All right for this trick. I will say: I'm gon na give it a good 5.5 out of 10, just because it took me what five tries to make. It look somewhat decent. And I feel like for this hairstyle, because it's a chignon style type of a bun.. You want it to look a little bit more clean and classy instead of super messy, but I think you can make it look good, whichever way., I think this hack is definitely better for people with shorter hair or not as much hair.. So you can make it a little more tight and precise.. So for this you can use a regular hair elastic.. I'M just gon na use a clear one: just'cause, that's what she's doing in the video. And she's calling it.. This is her messy bun in 10 seconds.. So you pick up your hair pick it up a little bit higher. This one's going to be a little bit messy.. So then you secure it once and then on the second twist you only secure the hair in the center to create a little bun with the rest of the hair down.. So once and second time like so., Then you split it on top and then you bring the bun through. But then you kind of have the rest of the hair like a little waterfall and it's supposed to look super cute.. How are we looking ( laughs )? Let'S try it again., I feel, like I wan na secure the little bun once more, just because it's a little bit more loose., We'll see if that's enough. And then what she does. She takes like a little flower, hair, accessory and kind of puts it right in the center where you took the bun through, but it's supposed to be like a super, easy messy bun., That's also a hairstyle like a low updo.. I think it just depends how you accessorize it.'Cause. It'S not bad. I will say one thing: it's not very secure, so I feel like you, can't really just go dancing all night long.. I would do a little bit more of like securing that little bun. One more time, but it's not bad.. I think it's a pretty cool trick with very minimal effort., But you see like a lot of the hair, is falling out., So I feel like you'd still wan na get some bobby pins involved. If you don't want it to look so messy., It's not bad.. It'S not bad.! I'M gon na give a good five out of 10., So this one is for like a half up bun and it's basically how you hold your fingers and how you secure it with your hair elastic.. So pick up your section of hair and then with the fingers. You'Re gon na slide them in make sure you have the hair elastic on that hand.. So you're gon na slide it through. There. You go. That's supposed to be like the easiest bun ever, but I feel like I would do it. Multiple times., Like one more., Get a little bit more hold in the back, but it's not bad.. I think that was like the easiest thing ever., So you basically, like I said, have your fingers spread in the hair With the hair elastic there.? Then you take the hair elastic, you wrap it up once second time and then the last thing, with that little hair that you have leftover just bring it inside of the hair elastic one more time.. It'S supposed to be quite messy, but a lot bigger than you would normally do it. And it looks kind of like a flower in a way.. It'S not bad. I actually really like this one., Like I said I would just do it one more time, but I actually really like how it's somewhat loose.. I think I would just do my hair, maybe wave it a tiny bit more.. So the waves are a little bit tighter and closer together., So a lot more of a curl rather than a wave, but I really like this one., So this next one is a low bun.. It'S a little bit messy, but it's also really good for a really simple updo, for like a wedding for a really cool event that you really need to kind of dress up, put some effort into your hair, but with very minimal effort.. It looks like you put effort, but it's minimal effort. All right, so you need two hair elastics and then I think one bobby pin. First create your ponytail in the back. And, like I said it's a lower bun, so try to focus it more on the lower Side. I just like having these little pieces out to frame the face. So then split the ponytail horizontally, half and half.. Then you're gon na take the pony tail horizontally through not up and down but side to side. And don't let go take another hair elastic. I'M just using a clear one. Tie it off ..., and then you basically just wrap it towards the bun.. Take your bobby pain and secure it., Okay. That was actually super easy.. If anything, I would use a couple of bobby pins top and bottom to secure everything, but I like that. It'S kind of messy but put together - and I think this one's really good for people that don't have as much hair and shorter hair as well.. I feel like if you have a lot of hair, your bun might look a little too thick.. So that way, I think you could definitely messy it. Up. Have like longer sections like kind of hanging loose, really really cute, but this was actually really easy and we most likely have everything. Hair elastics couple of bobby pins.. I actually really liked this one, a lot.. I think these last two are definitely I'll, give them a nine out of 10., I'm very happy with them.. So this one right here, I've done several times on my shorter hair.. It'S basically a ponytail wherever you want the ponytail to sit high, medium or low., And then you split that ponytail in half and you create two three strand braids super simple super easy, but you do need to have like three hair elastics, either big ones or little Small, clear elastics and then two or three bobby pins, depending how long thick short or thin your hair is., But this one is also super simple to create.. It'S very elegant.. It can also be very messy if you want it to look messy or you can make. You look really clean and really really chic.. So I think this one is gorgeous and very beautiful and it doesn't require as much effort.. So you make a ponytail first And you want the ponytail to be pretty tight. Split it in half and braid each section, three strand braid., I'm just gon na go back in and really take some of this braid apart, just to give it a little bit more Texture and dimension and make the bright a little bit bigger and thicker.. So that way we have a little bit more volume for the bun.. You can tie this off or you can just hold it and then wrap it. Around.. I'M just gon na tie this off. Just to make it even more secure And then I'm going wrap this around., I'm gon na use a bobby, pin to secure it. And do the same thing on this side.. I think this one is really good. If you don't have as much hair. That way, you can really kind of manipulate the texture and the volume in a messy bun. I think this one's really really really pretty.. I'M gon na show you guys the lower version. So that completes the Tik Tok messy bun hacks.. Some of them were phenomenal. Some of them were good, and then some of them were just like `` Meh.'' they're, fine they're a little too messy, but I think you can definitely make any one of these work. There's a good mixture of hairstyles that are good for long hair, thick hair, curly, Hair and then really good hairstyles for fine hair, thin hair, shorter hair that you can make look really really amazing. All right guys. Thank you for watching spending time with me and I'll see you in the next one very soon., Bye, ( blows a kiss )

-Nellie -m: Love when you do hair tutorials, I wished you do more, there’s already enough makeup videos out there and not enough hair tutorials to watch, I like the 3rd last one when you did it half up, I was able to get my whole hair that way using my fingers to separate my hair into just one messy look without any hair hanging down. Please do more hair tutorials.

Pat_i_Kot: I missed you doing hairstyles please do more!!!!

Emma Storey: I fell in love with your channel with your short hairstyles and updo videos. Now I get to follow along again with my longer hair! Xx

Anne McKeel: I am a long time subscriber. Really loved your videos on short hair braiding etc. Miss that, but now that your hair is longer I hope you do more tutorials like this one! Also wanted to say that you slowly influenced me to purchase the Dyson air wrap. Just have had it two days and absolutely love it!

Rebecca Ball: I love your videos gal!!!! Your so awesome, I hope you are doing well!!! Prayers go out to you!!!

That Art Teacher: These are really cute and look simple enough to try!

Marie: Tried the horizontal split pony at around 12 mins at it looks good on my bum length hair . Only thing I struggle with is getting the Bobby pins to stay in, they always slip out, any tips? The ones I have were bought from a hairdresser, so they're nice and strong.

Tinti: I remember coming up with the horisontal split bun years ago but when i tried showing my friends how to do it I forgot lol.

Sharon Lee: loved this video. I have always had a short pixie style but have grown it for my wedding so now about your length but haven't a clue what to do with it. lol. so thanx. I have seen a bun that is 2 twists folded back on the selves and wrapped around... my mission is to succeed before |I go back to a pixie cut

Katie Brown: My hair is way too short to do any of these, but the horizontal split bun was so pretty.

Cina Chandler: That was fun! Thank you. Enjoying your content!

Lavender Rainbow: *CHALLENGE* - Here's a hair tutorial challenge for you! My hair is incredibly thin but very long - just past my butt :) My hair is so fine I have difficulty hiding one of those bun inserts, lol! It doesn't matter how much I curl my hair, volume doesn't stay. I have even went as far to use Got-to-B Freeze spray to hold curls but they eventually fall out. So, this is a style that I would *LOVE* to achieve, just not as big as she has it. The hair style is at 15:21 of this youtube video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dJdZcmZvTWo If you try this for me, could you comment to my comment as "challenge accepted" :)

Diana Nolen: Love seeing quick and easy hairstyles, they all look so cute on you!

Anna Babinska: I have been watching your videos for years now. You have the most beautiful hair now. It looks THE bomb

Rebecca Whiteside: I’m always looking for more hairstyles to change up the norm. Thank you for this vid! Also, I love your The Doors shirt!!

Wenni Gan: tbh, you look so good with long hair now

Antoinette Marlow: I LLLOOOVVVEEE the bun that started around 11:20 !! I'm a 66 yr old woman & keep my hair a little longer than shoulder length. I can't do styles that require my arms to be raised for very long due to 3 chronic pain diseases I have. I've always wanted to know how to make a fuller looking bun (with my VERY thinning hair) that looks complicated (braided and/or twisted). As I'm a child of the 60's, I don't mind funky or messy buns but at my age, it's sometimes necessary to look more gracious/sophisticated, ya know? I've been wanting to ask you (so I will now) do you think you could do a few styles for us older girls? I absolutely refuse to cut my hair short like SOOOOOOOOOOOO many women my age do. Besides, my husband likes it a bit longer. Thanks for the great videos & congratulations on your new baby coming up ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Cheers!

lexi Mesecar: I watch your videos a lot and I have a wedding coming up of my own and I'm struggling to find a hairstyle that would work for these floral hair comb teeth pins they have beautiful little artificial roses on them and it is really hard to find an up do that will look gorgeous with them I don't want them to take away from the beauty of my hair if that makes sense

Julie Mann: Just received the elastics you suggested & they are great. Heard your sweet baby in the background. Could you please do some with a scrunchie bun addition? I don't have enough hair to do these. Thanks so much.

Charley ASMR: My hair is barely shoulder length but I got the first style to work for me

Alex 5 Cats: you look so pretty while doing everything especially on your videos love you and your videos

IrinaLikes: Love this video. Please keep reviewing more tik tok hair style hacks !

Jeanette H.: Excellent video -- very helpful!

Selena: I used to think I was really bad at doing my hair but then I realized I just look really hideous in profile no matter how nice my hair looks lol

Beauty disclosure: Really good hairstyles. Can you do one with hairstyles with no Bobby pins and only scrunchies.

Kat: I’ve asked before but can you review the new styling tools from Hairitage by Mindy? They’re under $40 and at Walmart. I’m curious about the deep waver.

Lacey Craig: I really love ur make up vids!!

Shalini Sen: Loved the 1st and the last two... Thanks

Eve Rogers DownUnder: The half up and number 3 I've been doing for years. I do them a bit tighter tho.

Debbie CS: The last is my favorite and I just did it!

Beth Helm: Love your videos!!

Debbie CS: I’m going to have to try these.

Bia Oliveira: Mulher volta a fazer mais penteados, vc é rainha nisso

Yamilex Miranda: Yess please do more

Víctor Blau: Nice and easy!

Clifford Little: Omg I love this video I watch your videos all the time I love u so much

Earth Angel: None of these styles look good with course curly hair and you make them look good when in reality they look beyond messy....sloppy. Curly course hair will get knotted up in those elastics. Plus....a bun resting on my neck would drive me crazy. Hot and in the way. None of these hacks look that good and are overly complicated.

Aamna Naeem: Looks like every hairstyle is made for you..... :))

koolkatzify: I like the last one cause that’s the only one I can do cause I find hard to do messy buns cause I have a fringe and I can’t get them right

Phoebe Harris: Wow ur such good at really nice hairstyles looks really nice

jamba jackson: Can u do more with scrungies with a sleek part perfectly behind both ears.

Bihari Sauce: Hey milabu plz do hairstyles with bun cages

Shelby Alexander: Have you seen the movie the ring? There’s a hairstyle I like in the ring two

TrueFrancesca: Emmorett background sounds are always the best!!!

Summer Rea: My hair is too thin for buns

Cathy Theisen: Years ago you were very creative coming up with hairstyles for shoulder length hair. I don't see that creativity with your longer hair. Too bad. Your earlier updos were so pretty.

Natasha Cooper: Where can I find your tee?

Esha Damodaran: Hi Milabu I miss the welcome /greeting of urs " Welcome Back my Lovelies"

Natalie Sheff: I love these kind of videos

Fatima Azam: It looks so beautiful I know already without watching the video

R: ذكيه ومحبوبه وجميله

kimberly tomczak: I usually love your hair videos, but this one, the explanations could be better. Hard to understand exactly what you are doing,. Not very helpful.

Alice A-Z: Love your channel ❤️

Laura Williams: Some of these were done years ago

Eve Rogers DownUnder: No one commenting anymore, as there's no response. Kinda sad. I like Milana. But I'd like follower interactions on say first 50 comments or so.

Summer Leo: Messy hair is an ugly trend.

Crystal Smith: Are you on TikTok?? I can’t find you!

the kitty cats: Cool so nice
