Hair Care Q & A| Text “Elite” To 407-537-3173

As promised, i'm going to be doing a quick hair care q, a for those of you that have some questions in regards to elite hair care products. Maybe you have some questions about procedures with your hair care, that kind of thing, but first things first um. Of course i'm under the dryer, so i might sound a little bit loud um. But if you are new to my channel, go ahead. I always laugh when i say that, because i know it's really fast, so i'm filming today um, i actually was filming a video of my wash day, um, of course, with like the products that kind of thing. So, let's get straight into the questions, as you guys know, whenever we're doing a q, a please try to be as brief, but as descriptive as possible um and do everything in at least one comment so that i can answer your question quickly and effectively and move On to help the next person, and, of course, if you come on with the foolishness you're going to get blocked public service announcement really really quickly, the registration for the elite hair care boot camp has officially commenced. First question: hey crystal: what's going on what's going on in your world, i am at work. Am i in orlando? Yes, orlando, slash apopka one in the same good morning. What is the difference between a relaxer and a perm? So a relaxer makes the hair straight. It breaks the bond to lay the hair straight, meaning it relaxes the hair. A perm is actually kind of in the same family. Of a jerry curl, a jericho is a type of perm and that allows the hair to be curly wavy, tight, curl, loose curl um. That is typically what a perm is used for. So in all layman's terms, it's like a jelly, curl or wave nuvo. That is a perm, i'm loving the elt, the elite, moisture elt shampoo conditioner. How often should you wash your hair, a rule of thumb for me is every 10 to 14 days. I have my collar flipped in because i'm under the dryer - and i washed my hair - you guys can see that nice shiny, i didn't put any other product the product that i used today was our hair repair and growth, shampoo and conditioner. I started out by using our elite detox, which will now be or soon be called elite clarify which is going to be ready within the next couple weeks and then, after my shampoo and conditioner, i followed up with our hydration and excuse me hydration and strength therapy. Leave in spray um and then i went through and i used our elite silk wrap foam to mold my hair down. What is the difference between a primary glass? I just entered that. Can i mix jojoba oil and i got a super rebuilt serum if it's a little too strong um? Absolutely so. If the serums are too strong for you, you can dilute them with what we call carrier oils, jojoba oil, coconut oil um. I wouldn't really recommend shea butter, that's a little too strong and i wouldn't really recommend castor oil. That'S a little too heavy. Have i used olaplex? Yes, do i use olaplex? Now? No! Can i mix the elite, moisture, leave-in, conditioner and dehydration strength therapy leave-in spray. Absolutely that is called a cocktail. Okay, my grandkids are mixed. What product do you suggest for their hair? Well, them being mixed, doesn't really determine what product they need. Number one um deneen, i'm definitely going to recommend that you sign up for our hair care boot camp. There'S a lot of different things that go into determining what product your hair really needs and me just saying: oh, no they're mixed texture. That means that they're going to use this because not all textures are the same. One can be mixed and have really silky hair. The other one can be mixed and have really coarse hair. This one can be low porosity. This one can be high porosity. So that's really going to answer your question. That'S another reason why i'm doing the boot camp, because i want to make sure that you guys are on the right track if the hair is really dry, just to kind of give you a place to start i'd, probably say start with moisture elt. Why? Because most mixed children of mixed race, they typically have somewhat coarser textured hair, not all, and they typically have more kinky, curly, hair. So i'd more say, the moisture elt if cold water after conditioning closes the strand, does sitting under the dryer, open it um hobby. So just sitting under the dryer, how i am right now it is not going to open the cubicle. Why? Because there's no actual steam for something to like bloom it. This is drying the hair out. So it's not actually adding anything to the hair where the cuticle needs to be open, so right now nothing's gon na open it. Now, if i put on a processing cap and create steam to open the cuticle, then yes, that is when it will happen. Do you have do you got to have a perm to get a pixie cut, so i'm going to rephrase your question the right way. Do you have to have a relaxer to get a pixie cut for my chair? Absolutely i do not do natural hair pixie cuts, because it is a waste of time. Basically, i'm giving you a barber cut if i'm giving you a pixie - and you are natural so for my particular chair. Yes, for other stylists, some love selling that dream of the natural shortcut, which is a waste of time, because by time you reach a yard. Okay and you sit down and you sweat or you go home and you decide you're gon na have adult time with your mate um. You are no longer a pixie. You are now a baby afro trying to grow. My hair, i seen that it was growing, then saw, as i stressed, my hair got - did get shorter, trying to get it back healthy. Okay. Excuse me guys somebody's yawning me that i don't know who it is. When will you have the vitamins in they are in production right now, relaxer messed up, my hair will any of your product. I don't really know what the question is. Are you absolutely? You are absolutely right? They do have different textures of hair great help. Thank you. So much you're welcome. I wash my hair once a week. Do i need to deep condition every time under a hooded dryer, i wouldn't deep condition every single week. I would not deep condition every single week. No, i don't deep condition my own hair every single week. I probably do a deep conditioner every couple weeks, maybe, but i have short hair now for longer hair. Definitely deep conditioning every 10 to 14 days is okay. Do you use the same product to deep condition every single wash day? No, no! No, and no! No and then you know it's a good thing today, i actually got to use our new detangling brush. I used it with the conditioner and on the instant. My hair was super soft super easy to detangle, which i only got like five shades of hair, but it was super easy to detangle and detangling brush. Really it kind of like brings that chilling feeling to the body because it just like it just brushed that blood flow all over, which is really what you want when you're doing your wash day. You need that that little piece of the watch that just makes you go. Oh, that was great, so yeah relaxer, messed up. My hair will any of your product help more than like a yes, but it depends on when you say, relax or mess up. Your hair did you over process; it did you more than likely over process it and did you over process it. If it's over processed, then products aren't gon na help. That'S number one. It'S gon na help the new hair coming in, but it's not gon na help. The hair that's over processed the hair, that's over processed, you kind of just have to trim it away slowly and throw it out. Do you like using the term co-wash or do you think co-washing is okay for my particular liking? I don't like co-washing. The only time i have an exclusion to co-washing is, if you work out a lot and you're working out that many times during the week. You can't wash your hair that many times during the week, so co-washing will help to kind of get a lot of that salt out, but without drying the hair out, but you still need to have a regular wash day every 10 to 14 days. Hello. I need you to do my hair. Can i fly there for an appointment um? If there's an appointment available absolutely. Can the moisture elt conditioner be used as a deep conditioner? Absolutely all of our conditioners can be used as a deep conditioner whoever's yawning on the live. Please stop when you get a chance. Can i see your detangling brush i'll be buying two as well, so the detangling brush comes as a kit. It won't actually be available until black friday. So, yes, i will show the brush soon, but it won't be available until black friday, which of your products, is now equivalent to hydra strength, or will that line return um equivalent to hydro strength, are hair repair and growth, conditioner and shampoo silky same thing, hair, repair And growth moisture you'll, see depending on if your natural might be a little too heavy, but if you're natural using moisture alt, i don't know if it's because i'm under the dryer, while always yawn, i don't know on low porosity hair on shampoo day. Can i use elite strength, shampoo and moisture elt shampoo on the same wash day after detoxifying? Yes, um, i would probably say to kind of base it on how your hair feels honestly, i try not to mix strength and moisture on the same day. You want to have a wash day for moisture and a wash day for strength, so this wash day you're targeting your moisture. Then you do that. Then the next wash day, if you're targeting strength, then you do that, but to mix the two together, it's kind of it's not going to really do justice better than if you were to separate them and have separate wash days and you just go back and forth. Does the after power shampoo serum have cbd? No, it has hemp seed oil, it has hemp seed. How often do you recommend that a natural gas washington condition, so i just actually answered that question every 10 to 14 days. My hair is long down my back, but it doesn't hold a curl. Can i can curl it, but the curls will not stay throughout the day. Um, that's normal janine, it's gravity, that's normal. The only thing i would say that you can do is number one. Stop playing with your hands in it and number two um when you curl it hold it in place to kind of lock that curl, but there's nothing that you can actually do to make curls last. That'S a style! That'S not a necessity! It'S a style! Hobby hobbit! Already came to atlanta in february buenos noches, i'm going to put twists in my hair by friday. I don't want to waste your products on the fake hair. Should i put the products on my hair, which is short and other shampoo on the twist i would okay. I don't know if i got ta eat some sugar or something, but i'm gon na eat something hold on. Let me eat a piece of chocolate. I knew it was coffee wow. My hair became tangled after a stroke um, i would probably say, start to dry detangle. It first you're going to have to you: don't really have a choice and then, after that, moisturize moisturize, moisture, elt, moisture, yolky and more moisturity, but don't wet your hair until you comb it out. Should i be using detox shampoo after every wash day, as my first shampoo, absolutely that's going to be a clarifier, honest thoughts on atl, it's overrated, artificial and and just rude, i'm sorry, it's over! It'S just overrated too many people too many artificial people. I understand it's! The black mecca and everything, but we're just over the top, sometimes honey. I don't like that answer. How are you i get all your products on your natural nappy on this natural happy hair, i'm trying to book an appointment with you in august, but the days that i'm off work is today and you are closed, correct, i'm only thursday and friday unless there's a Wednesday that i decide to open - because i'm not here on one of the other days, what's the best way to grow your natural hair consistency, that's even better than chocolate, coffee and chocolate, it actually tastes. Weird, i sweat a lot menopause. I work out five days a week. I sweat a lot. Is it okay to wash once a week grasshopper, i probably say to co-wash you're one of the ones that i would say to co-wash, so you're not drying your hair out, because sweating is also salt. I agree good to know i'm not the only one. What about alabama um. I haven't been in alabama long enough to say that i can pass judgment on it. The longest i've been in alabama is two days. It'S not enough to pass judgment and i only went once atlanta i've gone multiple times and i can pass judgment on it. I wouldn't i wouldn't recommend anybody. Go there. It'S just over. It'S just superficial, and i love of course, that you know it's power for the black people. My african-americans, you know it's the black mecca all that, but we have a way of doing just too damn much and it just they just make it look cheap and sad. It doesn't look rich and amazing. It looks just cheap and sad and everybody's out doing each other, but that's just my thoughts yeah. So i need everybody to do me. It starts out hard, but the moment you touch your hair, it softens no flakes no flakes and we have our wrap foam back in stock because i know a lot of you been asking for it. It just takes a couple days my cousin used to live in atl and she says the same thing yeah me too. I have alopecia how to grow. My natural hair consistency, good product in front of my hair, which would be my edges, are green. Can i dye it or just leave it? As is that's a choice you have to make to me cynthia you feel guilty you're funny. Can i use a detox conditioner for a co-wash um? Yes, because it's not gon na dry, the hair out like that, but i'd mostly use a moisturizing conditioner for co-wash. My mom is doing amazing: the silk wrap foam, the curl, defining gel and the edge tamer. All all them fire, hey kristen, my wash days every other tuesday, i notice my hair comes out when i comb it. What do i need to do? I mean you're going to shed naturally 50 to 100 years in a day. So if this is a little bit and you're fine there'll never be a time when you don't shed. Never have you ever heard of curl kits and do you like them or use them on your clients, i've heard of them. No, i don't use them. Can i mix the balm with super brewery growth? Serum ah yeah you'd have to warm the bomb up, though hey kareem, my hair, is stunted and has been about the same length for many years. There is no absolute way room. Are you natural or relaxed, and a part of me is about to say you're going to say you're natural? More than likely, you are not stretching your hair and your shrinkage is real that never that could never ever happen. Oh, my hair does not grow. It does pieces of little hairs on your shirt, mean breakage, or is that just a part of shedding that's a part of shedding? If i do this right now, well, probably not now, but when i went to go wash my hair, i had some of my hair in my fingers. Was it enough to say i'm going bald? No, how do you fix damaged hair, follicles um? It depends on why they're damaged, and what do you call damage? It depends on why they're damaged and what you call damage wren you go to elitehaircareusa.com and hit the book now link i'm a stylist, and i have a lot of clients with dry hair and what products do i need on my shelf to service them so angie As a stylist, to be quite honest, you're going to need at least two out of the three lines that we carry number one: hair repair and growth and number two moisture elt. Why? Because just meaning the clients here is always dry. That doesn't mean that you're gon na use the same level of moisture on each one. Some might be fine flash medium, textured and hair repair and growth with moisture can suffice for that others might be low, porosity and moisture. Elt will suffice for that. So you need you actually need a little of both, because you're gon na have two different clients that you got ta cater to. How do i stay moist in the summer there? That is a very long-winded answer. Staying moist during the summer, um create a regimen number one that regimen needs to consist of at least a wash every 10 to 14 days. Um have a good leave-in conditioner. At the end of your wash day, um try not to do styles that are drying like braids and twists. Those are very drying. Yeah, that's kind of the basics, yup drink a lot of water, that's really the basics of it, love how you're not giving bs answers. Thank you. The steamers are in route. All of your products are good for color dry, natural hair, moisture elt. Yes, i just love your products. My hair is growing and getting stronger. Thank you. I appreciate that. Thank you. Does your hair change when you're on your cycle? Regarding its texture and strength, i mean your scalp can be more tender, but is your hair going to change for one week the most you might have is you know you might have a little bit more shedding than normal? It could be slightly dry, but not much. Can i use the hair, your hair growth and repair on low porosity if you're doing a strengthening day? Yes, but if you are doing more say a um moisture day no moisture elt, my hair grows but very slow at the top. Is it hereditary? I would not be able to tell you that josette, because i don't know your family, how do you use the moist me mask um, you apply it to the hair as your conditioner, you can either sit under the dryer for 15 to 20 minutes or you can Use your hydration steamer, which is the handheld hydration steamer for about 5 to 10 minutes. Do you think you'll bring back hair on it soon soon, i'm just kind of tired. You guys, i'm sorry like i'm trying to do so. Many things and the hair audits take so much out of me because i got ta sit and type all this stuff up. I live in miami and would love to come to your salon. The drive is nothing for me. You can use it every single day or you can use it on sparingly if you're relaxed. Let me show it to you real, quick, okay, so this is the brush. This is the detangle brush that i use. You guys see that it it it's wet. It'S wet you guys. So i'm like clicking water, okay, but there are two grooves on the back where, if you want to attach the stabilizer you can, if you want it to kind of like stay spread apart. Okay, so i just attached the stabilizer on the back like that right. Oh, this one goes here there we go, i attached the stabilizer on the back and that keeps it from moving around or if you want it to be extremely pliable, you can take the stabilizer off the back or you can move it down same thing. So this is the detangling brush. It has our logo on the handle. This actually comes as a kit of four pieces. It'S called a detangling kit. Yes, yes and it's four pieces. Okay, it comes with this brush a paddle brush and it's a very, very cute paddle brush, but it has a design in it for detangling. You guys will see it soon and then it comes with two combs and it's a detangling kit. This will not be available until black friday. It would be on special on black friday.
