Best Body Care Products For Menopause | Self-Care, Skincare, Hair Care, Aromatherapy And More!

Hey sophie here, let's talk, menopause best personal care products for menopause all right, so i've been dying to do this video, so i'm in menopause right now smack in the middle of menopause, and so i have been on a lookout for some products that can make life A little bit easier for women who are perimenopause menopause and post menopause, because it is that time of year, where we get a little toasty from the inside out right and our skin changes. Of course, in our hair changes. So i'm going to show you a bunch of different personal care products that i really like just a few. Actually that i think, are just choice: products to make your life a little bit easier and stick around to the end, because one of the products i'm going to show you is for your hair, and so that's our hair definitely changes in menopause. So, let's get straight on with it, so the first product or it's actually a product line that i want to show you, which is pretty exciting. It'S called woman s, okay and it comes in these little pale. Lilac lavender containers their packaging is amazing, but what i really love about women s is the price point is affordable for almost everybody, and that is really really great because a lot of the products i talk, talk about that are kind of cruelty. Free vegan, clean, green amazing ingredients can be a little bit up there in price, but woman s not so now they have an entire product line, go and check them out. I'M just going to show you a couple of standouts for me, so the first is an eye cream called eye opener and it's a brightening and soothing eye cream now soothing it most definitely is because it has this applicator, which is hard metal. Even if it's and i'm in a warm room right now - and i put it on it's like - oh it's so so - cooling and soothing - it just feels delicious to put on so it really work. It keeps it beautifully hydrated, but not too much. You don't want too heavy an eye cream to get into the creases and the wrinkles when you're in menopause, so it's sort of the perfect texture. What i really like about it is: it contains an ingredient called now. Pecuccio is an ingredient, that's an alternative to retinol. So we do want something like retinol and it's a derivative of retinol, because we do need to thicken this thinning skin around our eyes as we get older, our skin thins, particularly around the eye area and this thinning skin or the thin skin, can make it look As if you've got bags under your eyes, because it reveals the sort of veins underneath which gives you that sort of dark circle look, so we do want to thicken that area. But we want to do it in a way. That'S really safe and really gentle and that's exactly what this particular ingredient does. So i was thrilled to see that and you can take it safely. You know all the way up and around your eye and you know you're just under you know your eyebrows. So i love that now and it's got a lot of other really good ingredients and haven't got time to go over them all now, but but really lovely proprietary ingredients, algae and all sorts of ingredients. You really do want to nourish your skin now the other product that i love is called let's neck. Now, let's neck is a neck cream. So when do we often see neck creams, not very often now the thing i love about this neck cream again is the applicator so the way that it goes on, it feels very cooling on your neck if you're having a little bit of a hot flash and It it leaves this very, very thin, film, firming film on your neck. So before you go out or you go to work in the morning, you're cooling you're putting it on it, feels great to put on front of the mirror. You'Re, like oh just popping that on and then you get this little tightening film and again, it contains all these really really great ingredients uh for anti-aging, which i'm super impressed with now. I just want to quickly show you two other products inside out. They also deal with so they do um supplements now. This supplement is called active, glow and look and feel better from the inside out for healthy joints and anti-inflammatory skin hair, the whole nine yards, but notably apart from other um ingredients that are really good great. In my book as a nutritionist in this, there is a form of curcumin which is anti-inflammatory. Curcumin is the compound in turmeric that is anti-inflammatory, but they've developed in such a way that it's even more bioavailable than some of the other forms of curcumin or if you were to use tumeric and black pepper and such that you've heard me talk about before. So that's a supplement that you might want to really look at. They also actually have a body lotion. What i love that they say about their body lotion is why don't we use the same ingredients that we would put on our facial uh on our face on our body, because, of course crepey skin hello? It happens right so if we can have anything to help that so that's super cool, so do check out womanness, really really great brand super affordable. All right number two! I am gon na go onto a treat okay, so this is a real treat. Now i don't know about you, but you know when we're in menopause. Many of us are working full-time. We are looking after kids, maybe teenage kids, elderly parents there's a lot of moving pieces. Our lives are abundantly full right. So for me, at the end of the evening, one of the most beautiful self-care treats that i can give myself is a bath and it's one of the few kind of luxuries that i allow myself. In terms of. I know it's a lot of water, but it is so soothing to me now. I have never found anything like this ever in my entire time of of doing you know, beauty, product reviews, it is by a brand called prima that does hemp cbd products, and this is their bath gem and it's almost got a sort of legendary status. Now it's like their most popular popular product like it was in sephora the beauty store sephora. They couldn't even keep it in it's this massive beauty bomb and uh. My daughter even said to me one night mum: can you slice it hack it in half? So i can have half of it because she had smelled so amazing, my bum, i went no, you can't i'm having the whole thing and you just drop. Oh my gosh. Even with the plastic wrapping on it, you can smell it. You drop the whole thing in your bath and i can only say honestly, you give yourself a spa experience. It'S like cbd, hemp, relaxing essential oils. It is like nothing else and i literally can't live without these and we do need our self-care and our real exercise. Relaxation stress relief and if you have trouble going to sleep at night as many women in menopause, do please take a long bath. Put something like this in it then switch all the lights off. Get a book out read do a little bit of restorative yoga seriously. It is so important. Okay, let's go on to a makeup now, so i wanted to show a makeup brand that i um well, it's actually a brand, but it's a particular product from that brand that i am obsessed with and it works so well for uh for menopausal skin and it's By ilia - and it is their super serum, skin, tint, spf 40., so if you're using anti-aging products, particularly retinols and things like that, you absolutely have to do your sunscreen and you want an spf really, ideally of 30, but this is 40 and what i love about This product is, it is everything all in one. So it's a serum, it is a sun protection and it is i'm wearing. That'S all i'm wearing now, and it's almost like a full cover and it takes me. I just actually put it on with my fingers. You could use a little blue beauty, blender or a brush, but i just put it on and then they have this little cheap lip um sort of thing that you just dot on and that and those two products. I'M done, i'm my skin's ready for the day. It'S dewy: i've got beautiful cover up over all those pesky little sun damage, imperfections and everything really truly absolutely obsessed needed to have that part of this video right. If there's a serum that you want, which isn't a that is a sort of makeup serum, and that is all you would you'd need to, i use a moisturizer than that, and the only other thing actually, i would need, is a little bit of powder um. You know not not everybody's gon na need that. But if you tend to get a little bit oily, you might need a little powder. They ilia have an amazing powder, but as a serum to use morning and nighting, you could use this serum and then that by the way is by my shell, it's called ageless and it's their g2 instant, firming serum and it is packed full of peptides. And i love this serum because it's instantly absorbed, so you put it on your skin. All of the incredible ingredients at a good price point absorb straight in you can use it morning and night. I love this product all right. We'Re almost done we're almost done now, who doesn't want a spray right, a beautiful like tonic spray, a toning spray when you're having a hot flash so and also something that smells so good, because it's the aromatherapy that you smell it just releases you. So this is a brand called bogavia that i love and this particular perfecting beauty mist is like no other beauty mist. I'Ve tried. It contains aloe vera, so it's moisturizing even evening primrose, which is really good for the acid mantle of your skin and tangerine, and it's got this vanilla, uh, it's vanilla and a sort of tangerine scent and every single time i spray this. I just immediately i'm just like: oh it feels so good, and then you want to give it a good spray on your face. You could even keep it in the fridge and every time you have a hot flash run to the fridge and just treat yourself with that and it'll make you feel so good all right. Finally, let's talk about hair, so hair, our skin, our hair, our skin yeah changes, obviously um, but also our hair changes, so oftentimes um, our hair, can get thin right and brittle, but the main complaint that i hear women writing to me all the time and clients. I work with is sophie. I am i i'm getting thinning hair now there is so much you can do for your hair and your skin by way of nutrition. They are absolutely green, clean none of those ingredients, because the big thing i should have said this at the top of the video is that, with all of your skincare products, you really want anything that could be an endocrine disruptor out of your products, truly because it's This age, really, when it really starts, you start to see a difference in terms if you get your hormones tested, if you're using skin care products that have all the kind of nasties in the toxic products, the endocrine disruptors that is going to show up on your Hormone panel, it will show up so you need to get those out and on the products that you use most often like body cream, facial sprays, body, sprays and hair products so evolve. Age is for so many different reasons is an amazing brand there. In other videos, i've done, but the one that i wanted to show you today is their insta volume. So they have an insta volume shampoo and an insta volume, um conditioner whole insta volume line. It is beautiful and it is beautiful because it gives you a little bit of volume without that awful kind of you know some of those volumizing products kind of. Ah, they just sort of sit in your hair and they leave this awful residue and a kind of stickiness and a heaviness which i find absolutely horrible. But these products he's so brilliant.
