Step 1 cut the lace

Once the wig is complete, the excess lace that hangs over the forehead must be trimmed back into the wig for the most natural look. This is a delicate process that takes a steady hand, a good pair of scissors and a lot of patience.

Cut away about a quarter-inch of the lace all around the front and sides of the wig. Do this using long, fluid scissor strokes to avoid jagged edges. It is best to cut away small portions of lace instead of all of it at once, since cutting away too much lace will ruin the wig. 

Step 2.Pin the hair to your head to avoid the loose.

Clip the hair on either side of the center-marking clip back using the two large hair clips. This will keep any stray hairs from being cut

The lace that is on the forehead will be the most visible, so it should be cut back all the way to the hairline.

Step 3.Define the parting into middle parting

Use a fine-toothed comb to create a parting on one side of your hair or follow the hard parting that your barber has cut in.

Blow dry your hair up and away whilst combing to create definition in the parting.

One your hair is dry, continue to use the comb to neaten the parting and reinforce the separation. 

Step  4.Wet the hair to make it easier to style

Wet styling is the best method for styles like roller sets and perm rod sets. Styling foam and lotion are usually applied on wet hair to smooth it out. From there you either air-dry on sit under a hood dryer and the style is completed. Remember to be gentle.

Sometimes, if your edges are particularly fuzzy, you can wet your hands, smooth the edges and crown, and then apply the shea butter. You can also try other products, the shine is unmatched!

Step 6.Dry the hair

• Gently blot hair with a towel.
• Allow the wig to air dry naturally. (Do not dry you wig with a blow dryer. It can dry out and damage the hair and multi-skin top.)
• To restyle your human hair wig, you may use a blow dryer, curling iron or flat iron on low heat settings only or use electric rollers on a medium setting.
