How to Apply a Lace Wig - Detailed Stocking Cap Bald Scalp Method

Preparation:

  • Got2B blast freeze spray & invincible styling gel
  • A stocking cap with the color similar to your scalp
  • Rattail hair comb
  • Liquid foundation with the color similar to your scalp
  • Scissors
  • A pre-plucked hairline lace wig
  • Hair dryer

Now here're the steps:

Step 1. Make sure your hair is braided going straight back, or in a really neat flat foundation.

Step 2. Put on your stocking cap really low to cover all your hair and ears.

The reason we put on a stocking cap is to protect our own hair and also protect our edges and our skin from the glue that we're going to use.

Step 3. Pull back the stocking cap, apply some invincible styling gel all the way around the perimeter of the hairline.

Make sure to apply some gel on the sideburn to make sure that the wig will not lift up around the ear.

Step 4. Bring back down the stocking cap over your ears, and use your finger or rat tail comb to squish the cap into the gel to make sure your cap is glued onto your hairline.

And make sure the sideburn is stuck down.

Step 5. Spray the Got2B blast freeze spray on top of the stocking cap on the area you want to stick down your wig along your hairline. And take the comb, stick it down.

You can blow dry the cap to speed up the process, making sure the gel and the spray are solidified and completely set.

Step 6. Cut the stocking cap slowly along the hairline, as close to your own hairline as you can, that the stocking cap is just covering your own hair.

And apply a little bit more gel to where the cap rolling, and take it down using your rat tail comb. And blow it dry again until it's totally dry.

Step 7. Apply some liquid foundation with color that a little lighter than your skin tone all over the edge.

This is supposed to be making your hairline as seamless as possible and looking like a bald head.

Step 8. Applying the wig.

Adjust the wig to the place you want your wig to sit, and put the hair in a ponytail before cutting the lace.

And spray some extra spray along the hairline, and blow dry the hairline again to make sure the spray is completely set and dry.

Step 9. Cut the lace to match your natural hairline.

Step 10. After cutting off the lace, apply a little bit styling gel along the hairline, and using your rat tail comb to make sure everything is nice and set, and not lifting up, and blow dry.
