Hello guys welcome back to my channel. My name is karen and thank you so much for joining me on today's video so guys on today's video. I just want to share with you my winter haircare routine, so this haircare routine, it's more like i'm just starting to implement some of the things or maybe somewhere in my previous routines. I have implemented it, but there's some that i haven't so, but this time around this winter, as today is the first of may and winter has just began here in south africa. I just wan na change, some stuff and intentionally just go through this routine. I wan na observe my hair. I wan na see how my hair is gon na react. I wan na see the changes that are gon na take place. Besides growth, when it comes to the health of my hair, i just want to see how the weather, how everything will influence my hair while i'm using this routine. So i hope that you're also excited, and i hope that you find the motivation to also just um. You know try something new this winter, so i'm just going to share with you the few changes that i just want to make on my routine or the things that i want to add and remove on my hair care routine this winter. So the first thing that i want to do guys is that i just want to change my wash day routines to be in every three weeks. I know that seems to be very long, but i feel like at this time at this point that i know the things that i am doing right now in my life, i feel like my hair still feels okay after two weeks, and i really do not need, Like washing so i feel like my hair can just go about another week and then it will be three weeks, so i just want to go ahead and just wash my hair every other three weeks. I want to see what are the changes that i will like and the changes that i might not like about my hair, how my hair feels and how it makes me feel as well, because you know when your hair is dirty. You just don't like the feeling of your hair being dirty, so i just want to see if i'm going to get that kind of thing, because every time i wash my hair it's because i think it's dirty. Sometimes it's not really dirty. When you look at it when you smell it, it feels good. It smells good, but you just convinced that your hair is dirty because you know that you're washing your hair every other two weeks. So you know i mean like every two weeks, not every other two weeks but every two weeks, but right now i just want to see if i'm still gon na feel the same way after two weeks. If my wash day is on the third week, so i'm so excited to try this out, but i'm so skeptical, but i just want to do it. I want to do it. I want to see like what's going to happen so yeah guys. Another thing that i also want to do guys is that, okay, recently i've been moisturizing my hair with like one product. I know it seems crazy, but my hair does feel moisturized for a week with just one product, but right now i just want to try at least using two products, but i don't know exactly what extent do i want to wait before i really moisturize my gay And my hair again like i don't know how how how many times should i wait till i re-moisturize my hair, but that's going to tell the weather's going to tell me like it's just the whole new experience that i want to have, but right now i just Want to moisturize my hair with just two products, not just one product reason being is because i think that this weather might dry out my head some point and i might just have like some kind of breakage, so it doesn't like really need to get dry before. I remoisturize it. I just know that if my hair feels this way, then i need to go in with moisture like immediately, so i'm just going to use two products to moisturize my hair, especially on my wash days now. Okay, in between my wash days, i can just use one product, but on my wash days i feel like now i should use two products, but recently i was just experimenting that on my watch days, i only just use one product and i don't think i i Did let you know about it guys but um, i'm gon na? Let you know in one of my videos. I think i've mentioned it, but if i didn't i'm gon na film a video and just let you know why and what happened so that i got to a point where i moisturize my hair with just one product and my hair feels fine, so yeah guys. I just want to do that. I want to moisturize with two products now and then and see what happens so yeah guys you can just do whatever works for you, but if there's something that i also wanted to try out it's just that i wanted to try out oils, but just to remember The staining and all those kind of things i just don't want to do all right now with my hair, but i wish i could because i wanted to see how um also gon na help me during the winter. But sometime later, if i don't have a problem, maybe i might as well try it out, but for now i just don't feel good about it. So yeah guys, i'm just going to go ahead to the last point so guys. Another thing that um i just want to try out is just that. I want to do more protective style, especially twist braids and low bands, so i feel like okay, my go-to protective style is twist and i'm sure most of you now know that, but my go-to protective style is tree, so i just want to stick to twist for, As long as i can this winter and stick to braids as well and also low buns, but in most cases i'm going to have my low buns in like twist twist and then tie it into like a low band. So i just want to do that reason. Being is because it's something that works for me each and every day, those kind of protective styles. Just don't disappoint me, whatever that i want to do like whatever i am. I just feel like it's just the best protective style and i just want to go ahead and use them. So i advise you that, if you're not using trees as protective style, this could be a chance to do that, because trees and low bands and all this kind of stuff have always tugged my ends away. So whenever i do my twist, i make sure that i tuck my ends or away either. I just roll it into a band just when i tie it or just make sure that does not rub into my clothes or anywhere around my neck or something like that. Just to protect my ends, so i always get to do that very easily, with trees with also um braids. If i know that i want to just leave my twists hanging, i just go ahead and put in beads just to protect my ends, so i advise you to go with such protective cells where you're going to tuck your hair away, you can just go ahead and Just do um high bands and low bands anything that will keep your hands away. It like keep your ends out from exposure to the atmosphere. It'S something that i want to try out, but the main protective cells that i'm gon na go with is the trees, the braids and also the low bands, but it will be in most cases, increase or braid and then just make it a low band. I want to try out doing that with my hair, but i feel like um because of the things that i do each and every day i feel like. I don't want to expose my ends right here. Just don't want to expose my hair like here in, like in the atmosphere i could do that, but that would require me to remoisturize my hair even more quickly, and i don't want to do that. It'S just too much effort. My hair is a lot. My hair is getting long, it's just that it needs more time than it used to before. You can just moisturize your hair anyhow, if it's short, but right now, you just need to make sure that every strand is coated and for you to do that, you need to work in sections. My hair is long and now it requires a lot more time. So yeah guys that's what i want to do for my winter routine. Just let me know the changes that you want to make or the routine that you also want to try out for this winter. Maybe i might as well um get ideas from you on the things that i should do next after this one and if you feel like you've got your routine well also, let me know down in the comment section. I hope that you found this video helpful and it gives you an idea on the kind of changes that you should make on your routine. So thank you guys for watching.
