She Did A Big Chop And Her Hair Needs Some Tlc| Silk Press On Twa| Hot Combing Short Hair

Usa, so we are doing a silk press on my client here who did her big chop back in january? Her hair is growing out. We'Ve already done the shampoo process for shampoo. Today we use the moist repair, um sulfate free shampoo. I haven't got a tongue tied, y'all, moist, repair, sulfate, free shampoo, and then i actually conditioned her using our new soothe and balance deep conditioning mask. But she didn't even know that i used it. Okay um, but we went ahead and dried her and i did blow her out so when she first came in, i can tell you guys. Her hair was like right there and then, when i blew her her out at first, i was like oh my gosh here. We go with this teeny weeny afro right here. I'M gon na work real hard, but then, when you blow her shrinkage is crazy, because now she just has a head full of beautiful hair, which she had already started that way, but she just has a head full of amazing hair when we wash her her curl Pattern, it's just you know, scrumptious, all right, so um we are going to be hot combing her in efforts to get her nice and flat so that we are able to um trim her clean, her hair up clean up the ends give her some tlc and i Said i will bring you guys along for the process, so what i'm doing is applying some first tamer and shine serum to her hair now that it is dry okay, that is super important. If you're going to be hot, combing um, the hair does need to be dry. The roots need to be dry, that's very important. Now the first timer is going to serve as our heat protectant and i still have some on my hands and i only use a very, very small amount. That'S fine all right! So let me get some clips there. We go so to do the hot comb process when you have a short afro like hers, we are going to use the exact same or the same technique that i would use if her hair was longer or if she had um pinkier hair, like my technique, is Kind of the same across the board girl wow. So what i'm doing is. I definitely know that i need to brush through her just to make sure that all of the kinks are out which that happens. You guys i was just joking around, but you just want to make it very easy for the hot comb to glide through the hair, so definitely make sure that you're, nice and detangled - you blew your hair out so that it is stretched. You don't want to use a hot comb to stretch the hair from ground zero. Okay, so i'm gon na be using our h2 pro one and one-fourth of an inch hot comb. The degree is set at 450 450. Do not be scared of that you guys. This is a hot comb: okay, so i'm just gon na use it in the upward position. Just like. I always tell you guys, i guess i'll get a little closer, so you guys can kind of like really see, excuse the tapping. That'S my client. She can't hear me she's just tapping her life away, okay, so we're gon na do this again, so you guys see how nice and smooth that is. This is the easiest way and the fastest way to hot comb. The hair cover a lot of ground and get through this process really really quickly. So what i'm doing is because i know she has short hair - i'm just kind of pulling the hat comb through all over and then we'll go in and fine tune where needed. So i'm just really just working it to kind of preliminarily stretch her out, so that when i get to certain areas i can just kind of glide through it. So you guys see how that got caught there. That makes us know that i need to start brushing through, as i go along all right, so i'm going to take my comb and this part of the process goes fairly quickly. You guys that's the reason why i went in the upward motion first because that's going to allow me to cover a lot of ground and i'm not going to be spending hours and hours and hours hot combing, her hair and then, when you're hot combing to silk. You want to make sure that you are going in a downward motion to keep the hair nice and flat. If you go up or down and out, then you're gon na have to work so now correct that with the flat iron. So that's what i'm doing! Okay! Just like that super simple roots, nice and straight super easy, okay, so we're going to do it again, i'm going up and kind of flush with the head and then i'm going to part out about an inch of a section with me going in upward motion i've. I'Ve already started the hot comb process, so all i'm doing is just going down just to kind of make sure that it's nice and silky remember. We are still going to style her. So the the point of this is to make the hair nice and flat take out all of the texture, make it nice and silky so that when we do go to silk her out directly at that point with the flat iron, all the work is done. So we're just going to save time, so this is the h2 pro 1 inch titanium that i'm using and remember that she is short you guys. So short hair will revert a lot faster than long hair. Okay, so this area is all done and then, as i go along, i'm still gon na keep that one inch parting and all of the tools you guys see me using today, along with the products that i mentioned, are available at elitehaircareusa.com. Now the object to the game when you're working with shorter natural hair is to be as smooth as possible because number one their cuticle sticks right out, so that hair doesn't typically want to lay down. It wants to be able to go right back into being an afro, so in her case, that's why i'm making sure that i'm just kind of going through and doing both processes all at once and then, when it's time for styling, i'm going to style her with A ceramic iron now the object to the game, if you guys notice every time, i do something, i'm smoothing the hair, because this type of hair, no matter if she's, coarse or fine textured, all it wants to do is reverse. That'S all. It knows. That'S all! It'S been taught, that's all it wants to do so, the more you allow it to aerate and fit out the faster it's going to revert. I was taught to use the back of the hot comb when pressing hair yep. That'S the easiest way to do it. The back of the hot comb helps to smooth the hair, while you are pressing through it all right, so we're gon na do this side of her hairline. Now i'm gon na have you go ahead and hold your ear for me tilt to the side? How you do this part, so you do not burn your child or yourself. You have your client or your child tilt to the side that gives you more ground more area to work. Let me bring it all in close, okay i'll see how all right hold on.
