Peace youtube. This is leela nairobi back after a very long while and i'm here to show you guys, a new style that i created on my hair a couple days ago, and i call it the twisted bang or twisted backward bang with a basket weave for short to medium Length locks, so if your locks are about my length, which is about right down to here or um it can, it can also work for people with longer hair but um, just generally speaking, for people with hair. That'S about my length and my locs are pretty thick. So um, you know i just wanted to come up with this style, for you guys and to show you how i do it and i'm pretty sure you can modify it and create your own simple way if it works for you. So the only things that you'll need for this are bobby pins or hair pins, whichever are more comfortable for you um. This is all you're going to need for the style, so i'm going to get started on it and show you guys how to do it. So you just take probably a small section of your front hair and my hair is just twisted. I twisted it about a week ago, so um this works better. I mean you can do it on freeform locks. If you haven't twisted your hair in a while, it still works, but i would like to do it on hair. That'S been twisted because it's a lot easier to maneuver my locs and move them. You know every way that i want them to go so um. I take about this much of my hair in the front and then what i do is i take it. Take a couple sections take them split it in half like that and then twist probably three times at the most okay. So you got a twisted section of your hair in the front like that, then what i do to kind of give it a hump is so to speak. I guess you can say um. I put this hand right here to fold it backwards, and then i just hold this down with my hand. So now you can do anything with this. You can make it go straight to the front you can make it go to the side. Whichever way you want, it doesn't matter, you can make it go to the side or you can make it go straight to the front to the right side. Whichever way this is where you modify and create it into whatever way, you think works best for you. So once you folded it back, you want to hold this with that hand and you take hair from the right. You can start from your right or your left, i'm starting from my left, your other right, so taking hair from my right side like maybe about three locks, you take it and you overlap just like so and then you're basically doing like a basket weave. So then you take some more hair, so i'm taking about maybe three more locks from the side. Actually, i'm not going to take that many yeah i'll take about three locks, so i'm taking another three locks from the side right here and you're just going to take it and fold it over that hair that you fold that you put down at first. So now i want mine to go to the side so to the left, so mine's just going to go kind of to the left side and you can fix that. I can tell you how to fix that once i'm done so, then you just keep on pretty much overlapping from there on and then you take this and you overlap, and i don't really need too many bobby pins because my hair, you know it overlaps itself. So that's his own hold, then you just take some hair again from here. Overlap it again and you just keep pretty much repeating you can go as far back as you want. I just take it um to the middle of my head. I don't really take it too far back then. You always want to make sure that any hair that you take to overlap make sure it's not hair, that's already, tucked under the basket, weave and um. I think that one's going to be my last one. So i just took hair from over here, and i overlapped it over here on this side. So now. This is where i just kind of take this and pull it up under there to kind of give it a good hold. And then i take my bobby pin right here and i just put it right there to hold it down. Usually, i only need one, but i'm just going to put in two to kind of you know, give it a a secure hold. So i'm just putting another one right here and it's held and you pretty much got it. So that's it and then like with these little things right here, you can just you know, just kind of tuck it back further, so it can be up under there a lot better and there it is um, like i said, um, if you have any locks, any Locks that you see sticking up like this, just take it and tuck it just like that. Not gon na give you too much of a headache, and you guys get the idea of what i'm trying to do, and this is how it should look right here. I can't see it, but i can feel it and i ca and i can tell just kind of like weaved and flat. You know push down so um yeah. So this is a style that i like to wear. If it was longer, if you have longer locks than you do this style, then you have the benefit of like creating a bang and putting it low and folding it back. So since my locs aren't that long, yet i just kind of you know: do it my own way, so i'm going to let you guys get a good look at this 360.. I wore this style to work um a couple days ago and i got compliments on it from other people, so you know they pretty much like it and if you have thick locks it can definitely work for you, because my locks are really thick and that's how The back looks definitely a style that you want to keep out your face, um, so that you can, you know not have to worry about doing all of this and moving the hair out your face and having to be so irritated throughout the day, and i know It definitely benefits me because i hate when my hair is just always in my face, so yes, this style, i call it a twisted backward bang, baski weave for short to thick locks.
