My Night & Morning Hair Care Routine For Longer Moisturized Hair

Hey everyone. It'S me max, and I am back with another video. This video is actually gon na. Be me showing you guys something that I've been doing for years years and years from my relaxed haircare days. So yes, I actually am a few days post relaxer. I did not blow it out or flat iron or anything, because I actually already had a heat pass this month, so I will be doing a heat pass with my relaxed update in about two weeks or so so I'm going to show you guys something that I Have been doing for years when I do wear protective styles or when I don't wear my hair down or anything, I do wear it and kind of like this low bantu knot. That gives me some really pretty curls and waves, so I'm gon na show you guys how I do that. So my hair is pretty moisturized. I'Ve been voiced, rising and sealing pretty much every day since I relaxed so I've just been wearing my hair in a loose low, bun or a ponytail. I'Ve been doing a lot of more protective styles as far as buns and things like that. So at nighttime, when it's time to go to bed, I like to put on a little bit of moisturizer, even though my hair really doesn't feel like it needs it. My is definitely needed, and I know this because it worked it worked before and just a mini update. I feel like my hair has improved tremendously since I first went back relaxed in December, so yeah, so I hope you guys can tell about hair kind of house. Oh until it kind of half away become a kind of a so yeah, my hair feels a lot better, so I'm gon na show you guys how I'm gon na do this summer hair. This is how my hair looks air dry. I don't know if you guys can see the kind of way that it has, but I'm gon na show you guys exactly how I do it, so I am gon na spray. My hair, a little bit with this aloe vera rose water and glycerin mix. This also has a little bit of I think peppermint oil and sweet almond oil evening, so I had it in the refrigerator, so it's gon na be a little cold, so I'm just gon na lightly. If it wants to come out. Oh, this actually is leaving Gracia smelling, I'm just gon na. Let me spray my hair, because I wanted just a little bit damp cuz. What'S going on one help with my hair and to help hold that kind of like band to that, I'm going to do so. I'M just gon na lightning. This set like that, and I am gon na take my my olive oil, my elastic you Pete olive oil mango butter moisturizer. I love this moisturizer. It works so well and I'm only gon na take a little bit. I don't need a lot someone's gon na do about this much and I'm just gon na put it all right here. Alright, third girl, how is control on my edges? So if my edges look a little different, it's because I have on some edge to try. Try some new edge control and it works really nice, so I'm just gon na put this all right here we really make sure I get the ins and I am gon na split this in half like that to make sure I get the inside. So I really don't need a whole bunch of moisturizer cuz. My hair is already really moisturized like I can just tell like from December. So now my hair did not feel like this. When I first went back relaxed, it was a bit dry. So that's on I'm gon na also make sure I put some on my knee and do this so to seal. I am going to use some avocado oils. Just put a couple dots. I don't really like avocado oil, they work so well. So I make sure I put focus on my edges: picture really get those I'm using about about a diamond size per her kind of my area, so I always do this put in then I'm going to focus on the ends. Then, of course split. It again put a little bit more, maybe strike at the ends and all up it through here again, like I said I do this every day every day, okay, so that's on! So what I'm gon na do now is take my brush and just brush my hair back into a low bun and also your way. You sound well so just brush that and then I'm gon na take my wick comb and make sure I comb it through. So, okay, this is the part where I'm going to twist my hair into a low B. Not so it can have this really pretty wave. In the morning I wear my hair in a ponytail, so my hair is getting quite a bit of length. I mean I've. Never had problems with growing my hair, it's more so making it look a certain way as far as overall health, so I'm slowly getting there. I see the difference so something to make sure that this is all coming through. So what I'm gon na do is I'm gon na in my hand, out meet wrist, nice and loose, and I'm just going to twist it like this, like so twist it and twist. So we got a bantu knot here. You want to take a little more, a little more avocado oil and make sure I put it on this. My tail piece right here and twist this like that, and it's really loose okay. So now I'm going to take I'm going to take a bobby pin and I'm just going to pin this like that and that's it. This is how I run my hair to bed um. Sometimes, if I don't want to wrap it because in the morning time it's got to give me a really pretty wave to my hair, or sometimes you know when maybe, if I'm just around the house, I'll just leave it in this or likes me to run a Quick errand I'll just leave it in the bun like that, and it's just really easy to do what I'm gon na do is. I want to come back to the morning and show you guys the way that I have with my fan my eye single bantu knot. But if you do have thicker hair, you might have to do just like two small ones on the side. But I want the large bantu knot to give myself a really pretty kind of like ringlets, like a really pretty ring lid, so I actually did used to do this method. When I was natural - and I didn't have my blowouts or my silk presses - and it worked really well as well so here I'll be back in the morning to show you good morning, I need to hurry up because I'm running late, so this is my hair. The next morning, it's pretty much done already, so I'm just gon na take the you know the large bobby pin out and I'm just going to gently unravel it. Let'S see, let's hope that we have yeah, we do. We have a little wave. You can see it a little a little wave, so I'm gon na go ahead and put this in a ponytail, I'm actually about to go work out. So I'm not gon na put on any edge control you can, if you want to, but I'm not because I'm about to go sweat, but you know you want to look kinda cute. I mean I don't look cute when I go to the gym, which explains my excessive amount of deodorant your, but this is all I do. This is all I do in I'm ready to go. It'S like a little. I use a little curl to it low. You know a little curl to it. You can manipulate it a little bit more make it more like this or whatever you want to do, but this is pretty much all I do so also, if you want to put it up higher you can. It looks really cute when you put it up higher. I think that's what I'm gon na do change my mind. I'M gon na put mine higher up, so it has more below a little more a little wave, a little cuteness to it. You know I've decided to put my higher up, I Rachel, so this is how I do it um. I really like this. It'S really super super cute and easy to do if you want some curls with with no heat. Of course, you can do multiple bantu knots and get a different look, but since I wanted a larger looking way, I just did one so yeah. If you guys have any questions, feel free to ask me, and I want moisturize until again until tonight. I'M thinking about, I might go wash my hair after I work out, so that's where I'm hitting now. As always. Thank you guys so much for watching again. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me in the comment section below in our wall answer those for you and I'll see you guys next time.

88Roshan: sooo will I as a black woman ever stop being amazed at grown black women still looking like teenagers!?!?! God really went all out with us

Tonia Kay: I can definitely tell the difference in your hair! It looks great. Also, shoutout to you for giving the girls the old school youtube vibes !

Joy Deja King: Megz hair is looking good!! It has definitely gotten longer and appears thicker too I know that might sound weird since she’s now relaxed. But l love she still has so much texture

Monique W: I'm natural, but I've been wearing my hair blow dried/ stretched and I follow a similar regiment ( with two buns). Your hair definitely looks stronger, healthier, and shinier.

Deja Levette: I think I want to become a blow dried natural. I don’t exactly want to commit to a relaxer but I think I can still maintain healthy hair with blown out hair. It’s much more manageable and time saving. I have 4c hair and don’t get me wrong I love it but I think I may be able to pass my length plateau by going this route.

EmpireOnEighteenth: Your hair looks great! And that’s my favorite moisturizer ever. It smells so good! People always ask me what’s in my hair. I’m still natural but I pretty much always have my hair blow out because it much easier for me to manage that way. But your hair is looking lovely sis!

S. Crockett: Thank you for keeping us up on what works for you. My hair doesn't listen to me when I ask it to GROW, So I'm about to go to the gym to take out my frustration

Brian M: Meg girl so I just relaxed after two years of being natural and I have about that same length! I am truly excited to go on this journey along side you!! I want longer healthier hair. I found it very difficult to maintain and care for my natural hair because it was so time consuming to do so. I believe that just like before I can grow healthy relaxed hair. Thank you!

Cleopatra Myers: Just came to say hey and tell you how beautifully you have been glowing of late. I'm proud of you Megz. Please keep shining xo

Fine Natural Hair ROCKS: Your relaxed hair looks gorgeous!!!! Great job bringing it back to health girlie!!! =D

Kesann Dormand: Loveee when you were natural but I missed your relaxed videos as you were one of my YouTube mentors during my healthy relaxed hair care journey and then I finally gave in to going natural. Something I wanted to do for years but loved my relaxed hair protective styles. Now I’m a year completely natural as of February 14 and I’m still consistently watching your videos. Lol P.S. Can you post your link of where you got your spray bottle?

Coily Loxs: Trying this mixture and style for the first time today and it could’ve come at a better time as I have more shedding than I’d care to see due lack of moisture. I am also trying to stretch my relaxer for another 4 weeks. Thanks so much! I look forward to sharing my hair journey with you in the coming months . Love & safe wishes coming from Dallas, TX.

WhitneyStylez: I’m always looking for styles that don’t require heat. This is a good, quick, easy style.

Your Favorite P.O.: Yassss megz.... You always come thru when I'm ready to get my hair together. Your hair is looking gorge!!!! ⭐

Sheena Rehema: your hair is looking amazing hun am soon relaxing my hair after being natural for 3 years I've had enough. I like the fact that my hair grows a lot faster natural but it's difficult to maintain so definitely perming it. I think it's a lot harder to deal with natural hair when you have always been relaxed

Velicia Williams: Great technique Megz. Having hair that is nicely moisturized is the key to healthy hair that will grow out. How often do you do an type of protein treatment?

Alena Dunham: Megz❤️❤️ I have been watching your channel for years. Thank you for sharing your textl axed journey! You have inspired me to texlax again. I started to go natural and I got anxiety lol.... my hair was your length and I have been battling breakage lately

Monique Wilson: You’re so pretty in the beginning of this video Meg! Ty for sharing with us your nighttime & morning hair routine.

Jessika: This is the type of video that will actually motivate you to get up and wash/style your hair ♡ love it! Keep them coming!

Dr. Bibi Neumann: Goodness ... this cuteness is making me feel like relaxing. I REBUKE YOU MEGZ ⚔️⚔️⚔️

Reservechic: Sweetie, your hair is definitely back on track to looking a lot healthier for sure! Also, it looks so in redo my soft to the touch too! I definitely wish you loads of continued success on your relaxed hair journey for sure!

Kat P: So glad to see your relaxed hair tips again!‍♀️

Joan Mubea: Oh Megz! I didn't know you relaxed your hair! I relaxed mine as well after 2 years natural... Thanks for the videos! Finally a routine I can follow!!!

trecp1969: Your hair looks healthy

Jazmin Jnée: That’s it! You did it!! I’m about to get a texturizer and call it a day! I’ve been trying to be natural for like 13 years now! & have NEVER figured it out. Now I have always been busy in school, etc and having crazy hours so my hair STAYED in a puff ball, out, not detangled, and split end CENTRAL! LOTS of growth, but NO retention and scissors stayed in my hair because I have nice hair and know I can rock a short cut so when I get frustrated I just chop. I’m talking hair would get to shoulder length in 3 months and I would just cut it again ‍♀️ I have Never had my hair past armpit length ever in my life, and even then it really needed a trim lol. I have never seen bra-strap length on me. I wanna do it.. I don’t have the patience for natural hair and I’ve been fighting with this for too long. My scare is that I DO NOT like bone straight hair and my hair takes to relaxers very quickly and clearly there is no going back so keeping it on even a few seconds too long will make me not like my hair and cut again. I’m so scared of making it too straight though Anyway, loving seeing you back to relaxers. This is obviously the comfort zone that we all know you in. & I’m going to give myself a try of being consistent and having a regimen. I know just 4 years overall will transform my hair. ❤️

aprophete: Can’t lie I miss my edges looking that sleek

TheSweetestCocoa: Megs your hair looks amazing. It's your hair and you definitely know what's best for it.

KellEastCoast: I low key high key missed relaxed megs!!! Lol I’m not even relaxed, but I just always adored how well you take care or your hair, relaxed or not!

OhSoMarvalus: Hair is still gorgeous!!!! I'm enjoying the original YouTube vibe!! Those products worked wonders for my relaxed hair when I was relaxed...Thank you ❤

Rosii: do more relaxed hair videos, love them

Tywan Brown: Hey Megz, your hair is looking great. I can tell a difference from when you first went back to relaxing. Thanks for sharing

Whitney: I do the same thing to my hair once it’s straight instead of wrapping it . I thought I was the only one

Lacia Johnson: You know how to grow some hair girl!! Amazing progress

SHE RAVES: Definitely trying this. I usually use a purple curl rod for some curl at the ends but I like the wave look! Thanks Megz!

Whitney Whitlow: That elasta qp is life! Their shampoo for relaxed hair is also a miracle worker. Im one of the last girls left I know that's relaxed but when I have my hair out people usually think it's weave since it's pretty healthy. Keep the videos coming please!

Sapphire Relaxed Hair: Very beautiful. I do that too when I'm fresh relaxed because I don't add any heat or straightening to my hair and on Sundays I just want a little bounce to it I do the same thing. Your hair is growing and it is thick as well. Thank you so much God bless you

Prophetess Lady Of Wisdom: Although, I'm not relaxed since I'm in wigs all of the time but your hair is gorgeous. Your ponytail looks like a weave bundle and it's pretty.

Sonia Stovall: Hi Megz. Thanks for sharing your moisturizing routine. I also use Elasta QP and avocado oil. My low porosity hair doesn’t react well to aloe vera juice, so I put Scurl and some moisturizing detangler in my spray bottle for spritzing. Do you ever get the 32 ounce jars of Elasta QP for $8.79 from Sally? Your hair is really flourishing. I’m so happy for you.

Maddi Page: It’s nice to see one of the YouTube OGs still providing quality content ♥️

Patricia Onyemena: So cute! And you really can just leave it in the low Bantu knot style. Can’t wait to try this myself. Your hair is looking great girl keep it up

chery0071: Come through with the elasta QP consistency people. TFS Megs. I’m 16 weeks post next week. I’ll be touching up then

C. F.: Great. Such a simple routine to follow

Jai Marii: That Mango Butter has been the truth for YEARS now! I love it!

Danielle: Once my hair grows out of this bob, I'm def gonna use this bantu idea. It looks so good higher up.

Tamlyn: Hi. Can you please do a "week in my hair journey" where you show us your daily hair routine/hairstyles?

LaCostasDreams: Watching and hearing you do this brings back so many memories from 10 years ago in 2010 when I started watching you

BUTTAH FLY: Yasss I just pulled back out my mango butter and my hair feels great I’m like idk why I stopped using it. My hair is thick and curly And it gets the job done I order the larger container off Walgreens

Jasmine Sincerely: I am not relaxed but i am heat training my hair so this is really helpful! Thankyou!

LADY SUNSHINE: Love this video Megz!!! Your hair looks great

Adhiambo Okech: Your hair looks lovely. This was my length before I cut it to go natural a year ago

JasmineShares: You’re the reason I started moisturizing and sealing years ago..... I’m soo happy you’re relaxing again for my own selfish reasons lol

N. Raye: I feel like my hair grew better relaxed than without chemicals ....I have been without relaxers for 5 years now, but that is the difference I notice. Could it be the ingredients in the chemical bonding that makes relaxing your hair grow healthier? Because this natural journey has been way harder and with more breakage

curvyvirgo83: Your hair is looking great!! Love this video

N H: I've been listening to Meg's say, "MY ENDZ" for almost a decade and always makes me smile

Grace Chilo: Watching this video made me think twice about relaxing my hair. Thank you

Tea Marshae: yay! I can’t wait to straighten my hair and try this.

Fluffy flo: Yes girl hair looks so healthy and gorgeous i see you hitting waist lenght!!!

Jelly Anderson: Your hair is beautiful!!! It's doing much better than before!!!!!

Julie Hugger: Your hair looks & thrives sooo good with a relaxer❤️

Kayla Roselena: I’m natural &found this sooooo much more helpful than other girls I’ve watched. Im not afraid to put heat on my hair, but most YT girls say “ I keep my hair straight for a MONTH, but the key is to NOT add product unless it’s a weightless oil and dry shampoo”.....I think they be lying cause after 4 days my scalp is crying for moisture and I think this will be my cure when my hair is straight.

Jazz M.: I’m sooooo happy you’re relaxed again. I’m relaxed. I’ve been watching you since you were relaxed. You helped me on my hair journey. You are my hair twin (texture/density/length/growth).

Bri D: Natural or relaxed, you know how to take care of hair and yours ALWAYS looks healthy and well cared for.

Michelle Frazier: You're stunning! Your hair is so pretty and healthy! I love the wavy ponytail! Question: Is it not too much manipulation since you do it everyday?

Marley Hill: Your hair is gorgeous. But I'm going to say it, my old relaxed hair could never! My hair is easily damaged by being super duper extra fine and high porosity dryness. Stylists and myself have to be highly skilled and highly aware of my hair needs. Wrong relaxer :My hair breaks. Wrong relaxer application method: my hair breaks. No protein: my hair breaks. High to medium heat: my hair breaks. The majority of stylists I've been to with my relaxed hair never could improve the health. In fact it was a white female stylist with short pink straight hair that told me I needed a daily protein leave in spray! Lol!

Candiblue: Your hair looks totally gorgeous ❤️

decemberclouds: The rose water/aloe vera mix sounds amazing, I want to know more about it!

Furaha Green: Your hair looks so healthy

msjasluv: Meg I’m going to texlax my hair this coming weekend....I bought all of the products from your virgin texlax video...my question is....what protein treatment do you use for your weekly treatments and your monthly treatment?

Acts2:38: Your hair is so beautiful! I just subscribe to your channel and will definitely use the products you suggest for relaxed hair. Be blessed!

MiSsV117: Megz your hair looks 10x better!!! It looks soo good..!!!!!

Moni J: I wear my hair like that to work every day and when I take it down it's really wavy and pretty ❤❤

Shamara Lovely: With going to the gym and sweating do you do anything else different to keep up? Do you wash your hair 2x that week or how do you go about it? I believe you mentioned yrs ago on this topic but wasnt sure if it changed since being textlaxed again. Thank you!

Peeerly B.: I just discovered you went back to relaxed... I had stopped watching you when you went naturals... my relaxed hair is growing strongly ... I have incorporated chebe into my routine ...works wonders

Heather Newton: So nice and healthy. I love it Megan.

Gina Regina: Thank u ! Because of you I found this today and it made my hair feel wonderful!

Lisa Fluker: My hair is extremely thick and I have gray edges. I've been following you since 2011 and I went totally short and now trying to grow my hair out again. What do I need to do now? I've tried all the oils and my hair is now growing. I stayed at shoulder length and now it's beginning down my back. I had long hair in 2011 but got tired of it and now I want it back and so does my husband.

Vernita Vaughn: I really love your hair tutorials!!

PurpleSavingsDiva: Nice job! Your hair is thicker! It looks so shiny and healthy, not dull and dry. Thanks for sharing

Timetrae: Definitely looks like your hair is thriving!!

Sound Reign: Look at this beautiful, healthy hair. Your hair looks much thicker than back in December and it grew so much. Am super jealous of those nice shiny sleek edges, I need those in my life

Valerie Coleman: You hair is healthy and beautiful. Thanks for sharing!

Aniexo: I think Megz might be the only woman who has fine hair natural but full hair relaxed lol ❤️

Pam Renee': Great video it was so helpful! ❤

CoolCalmChris: Hair looking great ! I bought that moisturizer it’s pretty dope!

Jasmine: Glad texlaxed meg is back! Can you make a video on how you protect your hair while showering and overnight.

J T: Wow your hair looks nice and healthy !

M. R.E.Banks: Looks gorgeous / your hair looks lovely natural or relaxed

Michelle Rene: OG here!! I remember starting my hair journey back in the day because of you!!! Remember the vo5 moisture milk and the long term relationship?

Kenya Woods: I love have you moisturize and seal your hair!

Marsha's Journey: Making me miss my relaxed hair . With this shrinkage I didn't know when my natural hair will go into a ponytail

Officially Michele: yay!!!! I'm about to start back my relaxed journey with you

Mutsa Mutsa: OMG your hair is beautiful so are you , thanks for the tips

Ashley: my hair texture is pretty much the same as yours and I'm still natural. I've recently decided to stop using hair ties in an attempt to thicken up my ends. single strand knots are definitely annoying.

Plush Furr: Gorgeoussss I thought u had went fully natural. Didn't know u went back relaxed. Ur hair is still just as beautiful ❣️. I'm relaxed mysef but I always tend to watch natural hair vids to style my hair.

Tracy Washington: Would you ever do a gym vlog?? Or a workout video to show how you stay fit?

maxine ramsy: I love that Mango butter moisturizer Meg. Unfortunately i cant get it anywhere in Australia anymore

Empress Charleanna Lyn'nae: That's one of my fav moisturizer, the leave in is really good too

Renette Gordley: Your hair looks nice everybody doesn't want natural hair all the time it's no different if other races color, bleach, tint, or perm their hair we have choices like other non-blacks. We can relax our hair for a few years then natural for a while. Some people relax or have their natural hair for a style. Others for other reasons. Relaxed, permed, or natural is not ground in stone if we don't won't it to be.

Sapphire Relaxed Hair: When you Co wash your hair can you record that I would love to see what you use when you co wash and then after you co wash I want to know the routine as well :-)

GH Fan2131: Hey girl! Can you share what edge controls you like? I’m looking for one that doesn’t leave white residue after a day or two. You’re hair looks great!
