Wavy Hair Nighttime Routine + How To Refresh Wavy Hair

In today's video, I'm sharing my best wavy hair night time routine tips + how to easily refresh wavy hair in the morning on my cousin Tiffany! Tiffany has a 2A-B short wavy hair, and if you are someone like her, that has been struggling with ways to sleep at night while maintaining texture and bounce without losing definition, as well as finding simple ways to refresh and enhance your wave pattern without heat or frizz, I hope you find this video super helpful! Thanks for watching and see you next Tuesday xo

What'S good everybody and welcome back to the means by mel youtube channel, i am your main girl mel and we have a very special guest as part of the channel today. Welcome back tiffany, hello, tiffany, it's wonderful to have you back thanks for having me, you may remember her from our wavy hair styling tutorial where me and my sister styled her and her sister, and we showed them that they actually have wavy hair. They just didn't know how to style it. Now you guys love that video and since then, you have been asking for a haircut tutorial, which we already shared on your sister and today, with tiffany. We'Re gon na be sharing with you guys, an overnight nighttime, routine and also a very easy morning refresh to maintain the waves shake it shake it shake what your mama gave me again. This tutorial is gon na, be really quick, really easy, and it's gon na save. You a lot of time in the morning so get your scarf ready and without further ado, let's get to it. You'Ve been watching this channel for a while. If you know me, you know i sleep with my beloved bonnet every single night. I really can't sleep without it. It is the way that i preserve my curls overnight, but since a bonnet is a fixed size, it doesn't work for wave your hair that would just be floating all over the place and may get a little messy and lose its shape overnight. Now, with the scarf. Okay, get this the idea with the scarf style, for you to sleep overnight is exactly how we plop your hair. What are you talking about? This is new. Yes, if you don't know what a plop is. Yes, it's a very unfortunate name for a technique that involves towel drying, your hair, all scrunched up now, if you watch the wavy hair styling tutorial, you already saw how we styled her hair in a plop. The reason why it works is because you're already drying your hair in that scrunched up shape, so it really helps to enhance the curls for more bounce, so they don't fall so quickly, which is exactly what you want to also do overnight, but not not wet. Let'S try not to leave your hair wet overnight, but we're going to show you exactly how to tie your head scarf and i'm going to give this one over to you. You can follow along. This is very simple. This is exactly how we're gon na do it. We'Re just gon na zoom out quick, perfect right there and hold it. We look good, we look good great, so you can see, we have a table in front of us. You will need a flat surface, but before we go ahead and plop you know take a look at yourself. You look good now, but it's likely not going to get any better. It will probably get worse so anything where we don't like if there's any curls that are already sitting a little bit too loose for you do the work now so in the morning you don't have to and what we're going to do to set those curls is By doing pin, curls pin curls are so easy to do. All you need is your fingers and a pin. For example, this curl has taken a bit of a beating over the day. You'Ve been tucking it behind your ear. You'Ve been playing with it, so the pieces around her face have loosened a little bit. If you want them to be a little perky curl, you want to set it overnight. Usually you can either work with the curl. Her curl is curling towards her face, but many people like their pieces around their face to curl away. So that's what we're going to do? I'M going to take this section and i'm going to use my fingers like they're a curling wand and just wrap the piece of hair around my fingers, pinch it and pin it just like that. You have a little pin curl. You can do this as many curls as you want we're going to do it to a couple more this section right here, but of course this is completely optional. You don't have to do this. It will make those curls really springy because overnight, if they stay like this they're gon na stay like this in the morning, and you will see when we come back in a few hours after she goes sleeping and now we're gon na set the rest of the Hair in another way in the plop now tiff please hold and please follow along. If you have a scarf. This is a large satin head scarf. Where did you get this one amazon? She got this one on amazon, very cute. This is very, i mean it's a flower. Can i borrow this from you. Oh yeah, okay matches kind of goes with my outfit anywhose. Moving on this is a large square, headscarf handkerchief, necro, chief. Whatever you want to call it. The material is satin and the shiny side is currently facing tiff's body. Now you want to turn the scarf to a diamond and start rolling and holding that top corner until almost halfway through now lay it over the table and flip your hair forward. If you have short hair like tiff, does you probably don't want this? All sticking up it'll be very difficult to get it back down in the morning. So any of the hairs at the back of your head and at your nape. Let them just lay flat. They may get flat, but it's fine, because it's underneath everything else, all the rest of the hair is flipped upside down, which is going to help give volume and it is scrunched up in the scarf just like a towel. Just like a plop and you're going to take the edge of the scarf where you had rolled it and that's going to help to secure it. The roll helps to get a firm grip on the hair and you're going to place at the back your neck. And now pinch the sides of the scarf now with that other corner of the scarf just add it to one hand, and now you have the whole scarf gathered in two of your hands. You'Re gon na simply tie a knot at the top of your head and then you can twist and tuck in the tails. Now. Not only is this going to be protective, but you actually look pretty cute going to bed, i'm not going to lie. I like it. Yes, you do have some little short hair flares going on here. It'S a little bit of a party in the back. What you can also do is pin curl these. If you want tip your hair, is too short for that. So there's really no point, but if your hair is too long and you feel like you can see that you may pin curl these as well, this is very secure. Can we can we get a little head shake going on yeah, it's not going anywhere. The hair is not moving because there's not a lot of space in there. It'S all tied, very tight. Also, this is snug around your head, so you can sleep like an animal and she's not going nowhere. I'M very excited to see how you look in the morning. It'S all going to stay very tight and we will show you guys what that looks like, but i will mention that if you feel like this is doing too much now and you would rather do more work in the morning, you can just be very simple with It and just put your hair up in a high and very loose ponytail or, as we call it, a pineapple or in tiff's case. If you have short hair, you would want to do just a half up, pat down ponytail and leave out leave out the little hairs for another day. Worry about those later. We do love to use these slinky scrunchy, invisible, fangs. Of course, a satin or silk scrunchie works as well, but if you ask me, this is the best way to go and we call this the slungy slump, slunch it it's it's like sleeping and scrunching. At the same time, yeah i like lunch, hashtags luncheon. What'S the hashtag hashtag slunchit, you look great tiff and we'll see you all in the morning with her very minimal but very efficient, refresh good morning. Everybody we are here with the big reveal, and i thought i'd come on with my bonnet too, to show you guys the difference between a wavy, hair, refresh and then you'll just see what my hair looks like so uh tip. Let'S take it away, let's take it all off good morning, wow it really held up beautifully it did. How do we look you look beautiful well, wow, i mean first shake and bake, just shake it shake it up. Shake it off. Is that what katy perry said so this is great. This is a great starting point. We'Ve got her little pin curls around her face, and can you just do a little spinner room? It looks great, it still stayed intact and when i said they would be boingy. I wasn't kidding they really set overnight if you really want to go nuts, do your whole head like this, do whatever curls on top, if you want, but of course we love to frame the face, and that is just framing it. She looks great. The silk scarf really helped to protect her hair overnight, but if you did want to refresh the hair a little bit sometimes what can happen is the hair can separate. You can get some crimps and things in the roots. So if you want to fluff that out and get a little extra volume in your root area is apply dry shampoo. This is one of my favorites. It'S from we dad it smells delicious, it's completely invisible and it's actually a moisturizing dry shampoo. It'S not very drying, but it does help to suck up the oils and, most importantly, it's a great way to add volume in the morning. So if you want to just just give it a little flipparoo shake it up, shake it up, we want to focus in the crown, so we can get some nice lift in there. Let it sit for a moment before you massage it, so you can simply massage with your fingers and you just want to fluff and lift and immediately that's helping to separate the hair. Anything that's starting to clump from the natural hair oils and anything that just got stiff overnight now from here. If you find that too many of your curls have really lost their shape, add a little bit more of whatever gel you use to style. We had used this bounce curl light cream gel, so i'm going to use a little bit of this mixed with some water to glaze over some pieces of hair. This is just gon na again. Add some hold back to the hair. I do encourage you avoid spraying. All over the hair, it can cause more frizz as opposed to spraying it in your hand with the product. You can control it more or another option for a dry refresh. That is really quick. You don't have to add any water. This spray from aussie is one of my favorites. It gives hold and grit and texture to the hair, and it really helps to set that style. It'S the aussie miracle, curls curl, refresher, super affordable, smells delicious and it works spray and scrunch to help set. You don't want to wet the hair too much, because this is going to kind of reset the curls. It may weigh them down too much and straighten them out. So you really don't want to be wetting the hair down. It really does give a little bit of extra grit and texture and hold to the hair, and we could have sprayed this in your hair overnight. We actually sprayed it in her hair when it was freshly styled to kind of set that all in place, and the last thing is, if you do find that you're a little flat in the crown or any areas near your roots, and you want to add some Extra volume, but using a pick, doesn't work because using a pick would just be brushing out the root and making it even straighter. You will find that if you use a comb like so and tease the hair, so you're back combing bringing it back brushing the hair towards the scalp rather than picking it out, you will achieve much more volume in wavier hair. If you have short hair, you don't really have to worry about the underneath, unless it does show, you may just have to refresh that area in the morning or, like i said, pin curl at night and that's about it now. How hard is this gon na be for you to do tiff? It'S not hard. It'S just definitely a change because i never really used to like do this routine, but it's definitely worth it because i've never got my hair to look like this before, and i definitely want it to keep looking like this. So i'll keep on doing it to keep up with the best part is. This is pretty much damage free, you're, protecting your hair overnight, so it's not getting damaged by your pillowcase by hair ties or anything like that, and we didn't use any excessive heat or heat tools to achieve this style besides a diffuser, but that's fine again, if you Want to see how we did achieve this style and how we would style her wavy hair. We have an old video on that, so make sure you check out the wavy hair tutorial, we'll link it in the description box below and if you like, this video give it a thumbs up, give us a thumbs up. Would you tiffany thank you so much for coming on. Thank you for having me. I love you, you look so cute. I hope you guys found this tutorial helpful. You can also find any tools and products that we use in the description box below, and we hope that you stick around for more videos, just like this one. If you do we'll see you next week, peace, let's put a bed head there. She literally woke up like this welcome to the sluncher party. It'S really like ethereal. It'S very royal. You look fab very 40s ready and begin. Have you ever seen the videos, the people putting on leggings and they just cut a hole? Let'S just zoom out perfect. None of those terrible. You have no idea what you're doing tiffany we're ready for you. Please, please make your way back on set, please, let's first just zoom out a little bit: oh [, __ ]! This is a bad idea. I look up to you. You got it now, squeeze squeeze squeeze the whole bucket thing. Oh my gosh, oh my god, you're! So good! You are so good. You are so tiff she's such a pro. She makes it look so easy. Her hair is coming out. My hair's coming out. No, don't say that: stick it in just stick it in you make it look. So, oh my god! Oh my god, i'm so proud of you. It'S lunch! Hashtag lunch sunshine, [, __, ]! Oh, but you got it! You got it you're! So close sunshine, sun chip, sunshine, you're, staying, oh, where is it? You were so cool you. Zeena G: I love that you’re showing other curl types. Would you ever do a video on how to care for low density curls?

Brittney Bennett: I'm sorry, can we just mention how PRETTY Mel is for a sec? Is that weird? She's vivacious so beautifully curvy and just embraces how naturally pretty she is. AND SHE'S FRIGGN' FUNNY. Please don't stop being you, Miss Mel. You help me love myself.

Suhanna De Silva: Your cousins have a looser pattern than me but I appreciate the wavy content more than you know Mell

Merryn Taylor: Tiff’s hair is looking better and better! This looks absolutely stunning

Victoria Robles: hey mell! i love that you’re adding more wavy hair cause that’s exactly how mine is! i was wondering if you could do a video of how they styled their own hair? cause her hair looks so good!

shka24: Hi Mell, any tips for getting through “transition” hair? Even though I’m following all of your tips, the top layer of my hair is drying straight while the under layers are clumping at 2b even 2c while wet but drying (even with gel and diffusing) as 2a

Stephanie S.: Super excited to learn some of these tips for my youngest daughter! She really loves mine and my oldest daughters curls and it would be so nice to have a little routine for her too! Thank you for BOMB content!!

Kindle Dragon: I just started my curly hair journey (about 3 weeks ago after binge watching your channel and remembering that my hair has some curl to it). Your channel has been very helpful. I'm not exactly a girly girl so I have very limited experience with makeup and hair care. Anyway, I do have an interesting situation that I though may cause complications with curly/wavy hair that I thought I would share for anyone out there with the same issue. I have sleep apnea, which means I have to sleep with a mask at night. The mask has straps that go around my head fairly tightly. I thought it would totally squish my hair when I put it up in a bonnet. It takes an extra minute to put the mask on, but I did find that I can shift the bonnet and hair to sit mostly at the top of my head. I can wear the c-pap mask and bonnet comfortably and it doesn't completely muck up my hair. The bonnet/beanie I got does have a cotton outer layer, which does have some grip to it. I'm getting another bonnet with a satin outer later to see if the slippery satin will cause my mask to shift at night.

Rachelle Anne Gutierrez: I love this! This makes so much sense for my hair which is between wavy to 3A curls ❤️

sfreire911: Eeeeeee!!! I'm so excited!! As much as I want my hair to be curly, it's not. It's wavy! So time to accept it and freaking love my waves with all these tips you about to bring us!❤️❤️

Lilah: mel: plop is an unfortunate word also mel: slunch

Kelsey Yaden: Just started this wavy hair process last night. The results are amazing, thank you! Such a big difference compared to Curly Girl. I love brushing my hair, I don’t want a tangled mess. lol❤️

Krissy Rousonelos: I’ve been looking for a good refresh and night routine video for wavy hair! This is perfect thanks!

Julie Stephens: I’m going to try this tonight! I never thought of pin curls at night to give direction to my pattern. I can’t wait to see how my hair looks in the morning! Thank you!

Keira Shantry: I was actually just thinking this morning how much I would need this video!! Thank u Mel, you're the bomb! Also, tell your cuz thanks for helping you out in wavy videos!!

Brianna Rianne: Been working on my curly hair journey and have absolutely enjoyed it! My hair is still fighting me at the top stay straight but curly in the bottom trying to make the curl go from my root wish me luck♥️

NorthStarHealthMentorship: Tiffany's hair texture is close to mine. Finally a fine haired, wavy babe getting the lowdown from a curly master! THANK YOU LOVELY LADIES, inside and out! More videos with Tiffany please, we need more representation of our hair type xoxo

T W: Mel! Finding your channel saved my hair. Trying to heal my curls after straightening my hair since high school (I’m 31 now). Last year, went through a bunch of tutorials of other channels, and just had wavy, poofy, frizzy hair. Found your channel, did the sectioning, evenly applied product with the right products, got the deman brush, spray bottle, scarf, etc. starting to see some ringlets and less frizz! Woohoo!! Excited to see how my hair will look , when the damaged pieces grow out.

Lora Beth T: I use the Aussie miracle curl refreshing spray on wash day as a spray gel and it works amazing! It gives a strong hold that I scrunch out once dry

Lydia Spicker: This video is so wonderfully helpful. I keep coming back at bedtime to remember how to tie the scarf. Practice makes perfect!

Tera Kern: Thanks for showing a wavy texture!!! And I already use that Aussie refresh spray, and you recommending it makes me feel like I'm doing something right! You're the best, Mel

Heather Johnson: Tiffany’s hair is adorable!!!! I love the focus on wavy hair. Thank you. Any advice on how to make fine curly hair more wavy as opposed to curly? I find many tips on defining curls but fewer on how to elongate them.

Rebecca SG: Yay, perfect timing! I'm starting to be more curl than wave as my hair bounces back from years of straightening, but pineapple-ing doesn't do the trick and I just can't sleep in a bonnet (I blame my stupid big head). Will be trying this trick as soon as my newly ordered scarf arrives!

erica g: Love Texture Tuesdays!!! PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE DO MORE WAVY HAIR ROUTINES.

Karla Zúñiga: Love it! Thank you for giving us wavys some love Mell! ❤️

Angela G: Tiffany's hair is soooo cute! That is sort of what my hair looked like when I started noticing my hair was curly a couple of years ago and I stopped straightening it. It is more curly, like a 2C with some 3A thrown in but I would have been happy if it had stayed more wavy. Mel, I just love your videos so much. I never thought of doing pin curls overnight.

Nikki G. Trimmer: This is EXACTLY what I need to be doing! I cut my hair too short and it's a battle everyday taming the bed head. You are a GENIUS! Love you Mel, and your seester!

Athina H.: This is so helpful Mel! I have wavy hair and was wondering why sleeping in a bonnet just made my hair worse ahahaha.

Owain H: Perfect timing! She is my exact hair length and curl type! :)

Sabrina Souza: Girl, I LOVE your energy! I've been binge watching your videos the whole day haha

Merrilee McCoy: MEL - you are changing my life!! Thank you for your informative, fun, practical videos. Loads of love <3

Music and Eyeliner: Yessss more wavy content! Thanks Mell!

Tomisha'Bee: I'm new to all this, but I have to say, watching your videos has made all of this easier to understand and apply. I love how you explain things, and how clear you make it all. Thank you for making these videos.

Brandi Bush: Hi Mel i’ve had curly hair my whole life and I hated it I straighten Fried it chemically straightened it so then I finally just put it in braids in my hair fell out a lot since I found you I have been using my regular natural curly hair for about two weeks now you are such an inspiration to all of us curly girls who need help THANK YOU

Martay Corrales: Keep on Shining Mel I’m going through a rough time in Life ❤️ You still continue to bring a Smile and Giggle to my Soul....LOVE YOU !!!

penguinsandcocaine: Thank you Thank you Thank you so much for this video! I have been struggling with my soft, limp, wavy/curly hair...and these tips worked fabulously!

Melanie Sweeney B.: Thank you so much for this Mell! I have watched tons of your videos and I love them all but sometimes not everything applies to me and my 2b/c hair, this was very useful!

Stephani Everett: Thank you so much for all the help! Been watching for a while and although I have wavy hair your channel has been very helpful and of course entertaining! ❤️

Kiara and Celi: this video was extremely helpful. although my hair is a bit more wavy than her hair, and looks better when styled like curly hair, it's very similar when it comes to preserving it overnight. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

brittanymcguff: Thank you for some wavy girl love! Alot of people hate on me for rocking my wavy to curly 2a-3a hair

Heather: thank you! I adore you and your channel and I super appreciate you doing tutorials and guides for wavy hair, too! my hair is 2A/2B so this was very helpful

Bec Bec: You ladies are so funny! Thanks for the tips, Mell! I'm a wavy girl and have trouble refreshing the next day! I am going to try this out!

Elizabeth Kats: Thank you for this! Very helpful tips for my lower density curls/waves. You covered quite a few problems I have that no one I’ve seen has addressed

esmeralda groce: I have 2b-2c hair & I have used the same bonnet as you for a while now. I already know this is gonna be a GAME CHANGER ! Thank you ❤️

Shelby McElwee: Your videos are teaching me SO much about my wavy hair and taking care of it. You make learning so interesting and easy!

Sophie: Liked the video before watching because this is what I have been LOOKING FOR!!!! I have type 2c/3a hair which gets weighed down easily by Lot of products and I always have a ton of halo frizz that drives me crazy! I have been looking for a refresh like this which I am hoping will help me :)

Mimi B: Love this! I have 3b curls and the same bonnet as Mell...it NEVER stays on all night. Scarf or silk pillowcase is much better. Looks nicer too :) thanks for the tutorial!

Maricruz Aguilar: I love, love, love your videos. I’ve gained so much knowledge from them ❤️ It’s been close to 2 years that I’ve started embracing my waves(at first) now I have some pieces at the top like 3a. I have a question, is my hair still improving? Most of my curls on top are like a 3a but the bottom is more like a 2c wave :(It has improved slightly over time but I really have to try hard. Any tips for this type of mixed hair? Perhaps you do a video with someone that has hair like mine? Please help!

Tricia Lombardi: I'm thrilled that I found your channel about a week ago. Though I'm probably older than your mom, I've learned so much about ways to maximize my 2b-2c wavy hair. I so appreciate your advice on care, styling, and products. I need your help to figure out this night scarf tie method though. I've watched the video several times from when Tiffany lays her head on the table to when you tie a knot, and I have failed 7 times in a row. It is stressing me out. Each time, something different is slipping or sliding out of place, and clumps of hair fall out, the silk loosens, the sides are too uneven to knot properly - it is a MESS. If you can spare 5 minutes to clarify how you can keep the scarf tight at the back while gathering both slides (when doing it by yourself without help), keep the hair inside, and then stand up and prep for tying the knot without it slipping apart, I'd be grateful.

Elisa Medina: My hair is just like your cousin's. Please keep inviting them to your channel and thank you for showing us to love and care for our curly or wavy hair because all hair types are beautiful!!

Cassandra Escobedo: Hi Mell, thanks for all of the tips. I am currently transitioning from strait to wavy 2a/2b hair and to add insult to injury, I have been graying since I was 21, soooooo, it is a challenge. I am wondering if you have any professional advice for us wavy/gray girls that struggle with texture issues (wiry/coarse issues)? Many thanks. I am happy to send you a photo if that helps as well.

Smaranda Mares: I finally think I found the solution for me because when I use the bonnet I always wake up without it Thank you Mel, I love so much all your content and it has helped me a lot to understand my hair, I am still learning every day with every one of your videos ❤️

L Bloodkith: I need a bigger scarf. Thank you gals for the night hair wavy tips! I'm right on the cusp of wavy & curly, so close to halfway between Amanda & the cousins.

Angela Leimback: Loving your wavy hair videos! I’m a wavy, looking forward to this one. I struggle with refreshing.

Ash Trautvetter: Omg mell, I’ve needed this so badly I can’t even tell you! Thank you dear friend all the appreciation for what you do!!!!

ruth west: Thank you so much for this video.this is going to change my wave game completely x

Sherry Russell: Absolutely love your videos for curly/wavy hair!! Btw your skin is gorgeous as well. Xo

Cecile Greer: LADIES WHO DOUBT, THIS WORKS!! I've been plopping my dry hair overnight for almost a year now, and it's the ONLY THING that works! I don't even need the pincurls!

dnjneville1: As a fellow wavy, If she already has product in, she can lightly dampen, especially those pin curls before she puts on the scarf. It will reactivate the product. Her hair looks great.

Aish 00: Love the wavy hair videos pls keep doing more!!!!

Jaimie C Torres: I love that they’re embracing their natural patterns more!

Mishka Khurana: I have wavy hair as well and I have been waiting for this video from you for such a long time I am super duper excited for the tips and how I can apply them in my routine love you so much

It'sGeraldine: Thank you thia seems waaay more suitable for my hair than the bonnet. My hair really does just mess around in there. The pin curl idea is genius too I know exactly which clumps in my hair are prone to straightening out

Shalini Dhunnoo: This is my first Youtube comment ever (and I'm a few years older than you!). I have to say that of all the tips and products I've tried, your advice for wavy/curly hair has helped the most for defined curls that last longer. I love how you provide so many different options (feels supportive) and how funny you are - and your sister too! I wish I could fly to you for a haircut! I would so appreciate a DIY wavy/curly layered haircut please!! Keep looking for one that provides layers from top to bottom rather than front to back thinking it will give more volume and definition (hope that makes sense). Thank you!

yensid: This was so helpful. I've been sleeping with a bonnet for months & while it does really help as far as tangles & frizz goes, I would lose my "curl" (wave pattern) over night. I just had a lot of choppy layers added to my hair to bring out its natural texture & reduce some of the weight since it's long & thick & I think using a scarf at night might be the missing piece in my current routine to get more out of my wash day styling & extend the life of my waves. Thank you!

Hazal Cakmak: I'm 25. My hair was always frizzy and had awkward shapeless big waves. I never knew what to do with my hair until I watched your videos yesterday! I went to ulta today and got my products. I just couldn't find the frizz cream so I'm gonna order it from amazon. Otherwise my hair looked so much better!!

Lavendelsternchen: Please do more wavy hair tutorials! This is really helpfull thank u

Booyah: Thank you so much for this! I have short 2c hair and when I use a bonnet, the sides are fine but the back always ends up flat. I'll definitely try pin-curling that area.

Cassady Blakesley: Loving the wavy tutorials!! I would LOVE to see more! I’m thinking of starting on this journey but am terrified. After washing my hair, it has a ton of wave but dries frizzy and straight. What are some beginner (slow start tips)?

LoryAne Guizzetti: I just love you Mel. You're an Angel from heaven. Such a beautiful person. Your kindness just radiates from your videos. Not to mention you're hilarious. You deserve the best.

Claudia Pêgo: Just found your channel and I loved it! Can you do a winter routine on wavy hair?

Lacy Magnolia: I’m glad I found you I’m pretty sure I some loose waves and I’m excited to see what my hair will look like once I do a curly hair routine

Brianna Flowers: Hey Mel, love your videos! I’m in the military and put gel in my hair and have to wash it daily. Do you have any tips on how to help this? I constantly feel like my hair is dried out no matter how many deep conditioners I put in it. Anything would help! Thank you <33

Fran Garcia Beauty: Loving the wavy hair videos!!!❤️

kz74: Thank you for this! As someone who is in between wavy and curly, this was very helpful.

Sebastian Reyes: Hey mell ! I was wondering what I do wrong for my hair. Sometimes my scalp doesn’t get itchy when around gets hot or warm and it starts to bother me. I also do a pretty good job using leave in and styling cream. Not sure what I’m doing wrong because sometimes there can be flakes and maybe that’s why my hair is more brittle or ??

Carolyn J Rubin: Thank you for this video. I have been struggling with protective styles. My hair underneath is curly and my top layers are wavy and curly. I'm going to give the pin curls and the slunchit a whirl

Barbara Huff: This is a fantastic idea! Thank you :0) I have a-bit-lower-than-chin length hair and I worry about repeated use of heat. So, I tried your video and VOILA - success! I've been considering purchasing Flexi Rods but 1) now, I don't have to and 2) I realized, as I increased the size of my CPAP mask, that my mask would never fit over them! I have my mask to the maximum size just to get it over my large pin curls and scarf - but, it works. Last night, I got carried away and put in NINE pin curls...whoa - no waves but a mass of curls! Once again, THANKS and keep posting about shorter hair!

Sarah Hinde: Love it!!! I have similar(ish) hair to Tiff, that was fabulous. Thank you Mel and Amanda!!

Barnes247: I’ve learned so much from your channel. It’s my absolute favorite! Ohhhhhh and I got a Dyson blow dryer this weekend. I’m so excited to use it!

Charlene V: I’m so excited! I’m sure this will be super helpful

Kayla Goold: Yessss thank you for wavy hair videos!! Would love more on this. I *think* I may have 2b or 2c hair but I’m not finding other YouTubers as helpful (or as funny!) as you that talk about wavy hair.

Katherine Kroeker: Thanks Mell!! I am a recent follower of yours (like less than a month) and you have changed literally everything I do with my hair. So I have combo 2b 3a hair, with more 2b, and it's reasonably thick. Should I keep with the bonnet or look into using a head scarf? Love you and your seester!!!

sav c: Love seeing some more wavy content! I’ve just ditched frying my hair, so I’ve got damaged 2a/2b right now. My hair is thick so I’ve had an undercut for about 2 years. To get my full curl(wave) pattern should I grow the undercut out?

Ashley Kristina: Just found your channel..and I must say..thank you! Im learning so much and my wavy hair thanks you as well!

Kahlia Inglis: I've started plopping my hair in the scarf like this and I'm doing it super tight and everything exactly like how it's done in the video but it keeps coming off while I'm asleep? Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this or what may be making this happen??

Jason and Alex Grennan: Thank you for this video. I have extremely thin, somewhat fine, 2b-2c hair (although I have noticed it is curlier in cooler weather) I recently got a shorter cut and I needed to know how to deal with it at night since I can’t pineapple.

Kenya Rodriguez: Omg♥️♥️♥️♥️ thank you Mel!♥️♥️ (‘: I feel like I found the answers for my waves

pink nightmares: Hi Mell, I love your personality and I must admit I watch your videos because they make me feel good, more than for their content, because my hair type is different than yours. I have 2b/2c waves (high porosity, lots of hair), less curly than Amanda, but much more wavy than your cousins. Would it be possible to make a video for a routine for my hairtype? Thanks so much and continue being awesome, you have so much positive energy to share ❤

A H: I'm just soaking this up ! I've been having my hair cut off at the barbers who do curly/ kinky/ coily /wavy short hair. They make me look good short but I want to grow it out but I never looked good next day after turning it into a pineapple top

Goldtube: I just learned this new scarf method and I’m loving it!! The bonnet never really works for me and I have similar hair to her. Thanks for this !! #slunch

Amelia Hunter: Thank you for doing more wavy hair content!

Riley Paige MC: The outtakes at the end are some of my favorite things. You can tell you guys have so much fun together!

Frances Keller: I just sleep with my hair in a high ponytail w/ a satin scrunchie. Works just fine for me❤️

karinac1999: Love the #slunchit. Another routine to add to my MMM ( Manes by Mell Method). I have a quick question. I have used a few different refresh sprays and find that my hair feels stiff and dry. Is it because of ingredients or method maybe?? Thank you beauty ladies for all your hard work. ❤

josephine Limandri: Great tips for wavies! Thank you she looks great

Lulu A.: Please do a routine for someone with thin/fine curly hair!! ♥️♥️♥️

Sabah Rose: I have 2C/3A curls and I need to try this because when I pineapple or use a bonnet it stretches my curls out a bit . I’ve just ordered 3 scarves too because if Mel recommends it, I buy it
