Nursing School Night Routine | Hair Care, Unwinding, Night Time Yoga

Unwind with me after a day of school work! I talk about my hair care, new hospital job, and how I spend my evenings!

Hi guys welcome back to my channel. My name is layla and i post nursing school related videos. So today i'm going to be filming a evening, slash nighttime and nursing school routine. To show you guys how i kind of end my days and unwind and just prepare for the next day, life has just been very weird. Lately, illinois is kind of backtracking as far as quarantine goes, we've been like having more restrictions put on rather than moving forward. So life has been kind of weird. I pretty much just sit in the apartment all day. My days have really just been filled with me sitting around and like being productive in like small little bouts. So i'm really trying to get out of that habit and get back into a daily routine so that i'm not moping around just kind of sitting and not doing much, because when you're not busying you're, not being productive. I feel like that really gets to me, and it just puts me in a bad space, so i really want to try and stay on top of things and just have like a really solid routine. For myself, i do have a couple like long-term vlogs that i'm going to be filming um that i'm really excited about one of them being my hair progress. So, as you guys can see, i have obviously dyed my hair i've bleached it. I have literally done 14. 14 different colors in my head. I started dyeing my hair god. I don't know sometime in high school, but since i started i literally like have not stopped. I just love dyeing my hair, it's so fun to change the color and like have fun with it um, but it really like just fried my hair, i, but as it is, i just don't, really have thick hair. Naturally, my two sisters have really thick hair, but i was just not blessed with those jeans and then on top of it, i dyed my hair, a bunch, so i've just really lost honestly, just like so much thickness to my hair, the ability for it to even Grow like it literally, never surpasses this length, so i'm at trying to do eight full weeks of no heat on my hair, washing it minimally conditioning it very well to make sure that it's moisturized just being really really gentle with my hair, i'm going to even try To not touch my hair with heat on christmas or on new year's and part of my new routine, that i'm trying to stick with for myself at night is um having some tea, so i've been putting um some collagen into my tea about every other night. So i'm gon na see, if maybe that helps my hair out. I don't know if eight weeks is enough or not. Maybe there won't be much change and i won't actually have really any content to show you guys and make a full vlog out of. But i guess we'll see um if anything happens and just any progress that i see i think ultimately i do want to move back to just having my natural hair, my natural color, without dyeing it, but i always say that and then i last minute change it. So we'll see, if i stick to it and then another long-term vlog that i have been working on is my journey with my onboarding process. With my new job at the hospital, i was hired by a very large state hospital i'll, be making probably a whole series on just like nursing, school and working in a hospital, and that kind of thing, so i'm very excited to get started with. All of that. For tonight's vlog i'm just going to be bringing you guys along for the evening and, like i said, showing you guys how i unwind, so it is 4 12 right now and it's super dark in chicago it's depressing to live here. I had the lamp on in my living room and like the light on in the dining room, just to bring some lightness, because otherwise i can just sleep all day. If i let myself so, i'm gon na be working on a paper that i have to turn in and some discussion posts, then i'll probably make myself some dinner all i usually try and do yoga at least once a day, and this morning i did a core Workout so tonight i'm going to do like a nighttime yoga stretching and then i'll shower and get in bed. So i'm gon na bring you guys along for that. Okay. So i have a very short attention span and i need to like i usually work on stuff and then give myself like a break literally after working on something for okay, literally after working on something for like 45 minutes to an hour. I'M like i need like i just like need to like change it up, so i had a really light lunch today and i am starving, but i wasn't planning on having dinner until like seven ish, so i'm gon na make myself a light snap. So i'm just gon na do that and then i need to get back to doing homework so yeah, okay. So i am not a cheese person at all. I'M really not that much like into dairy. I drink, oat milk um, i'm not a cheese person. I eat yogurt, but it's not like a huge part of my diet. Um and like i don't intentionally do that. I just really don't eat much dairy, but my sister bought these little like laughing cow things and they're so good, and i think that they're so cute and like pre-packaged and then i'm gon na have the some garlic hummus, because who doesn't love a good garlic on This okay, maybe i'll, have a little bit more so yeah. Now i have my um, my hummus, my little cheese, my pita chip, so i'm gon na munch on that and then get back to work. Okay. So this is what i'm having for dinner um. I know it looks like kind of gross and plain and boring but um. This is what we call un chile regino or stuffed peppers. I know you can get them at like mexican, restaurants, um and they're, usually on the menu. It'S like a stuffed, pepper or something, and sometimes these do come in like egg batter and fried, but we always grow up with my mom making them without that. Just because it's a little bit healthier. So my sister actually made these and then i'm going to have some salves, so i'm gon na cut this up and i'm gon na have a really delicious dinner tonight. Okay, guys it is about to be eight o'clock. I do want to have an early night today because i do have to be at the hospital by 9 a.m. So i want to make sure i have time in the morning to just kind of collect myself before my hr meeting. So i'm doing myself a favor. Now and i'm going to set out my clothes for tomorrow, i'm gon na try and get in the habit of doing this as um. Things start to like open back up, and i got back into school in person and work again. But now that i have figured out what i'm gon na wear tomorrow, i'm going to go ahead and get my tea going and some yoga before i hop in the shower and end my night. Oh, i have been starting my days with this green ginger tea because well, first of all it has caffeine, but tea has like a smoother caffeine than coffee. So you don't really get like the crash or the come down. So it's just like a really gentle wake up um in the morning and plus ginger. Tea helps with bloating, and i have had terrible bloating recently. So this has actually been helping. It'S not like a crazy amount, but i can definitely tell the difference um, but my nighttime tea is the sashen tea um. It has like some hibiscus in it, which is my favorite and there's no caffeine in it. So it's a really good nighttime, just like floral. Really fruity tea to have to be putting this in there, and then these are the collagen peptides that i used. I got this in at costco and it was way cheaper than like buying off of their actual website, because it's like the same price for this for like one, that's like literally up to here um, but this has no flavor. I never taste it or i can never really tell that it's in my tea, which i like like, i don't want to taste that i'm putting something in there um. So when it says unflavored i feel like that is very accurate, so i'm gon na go ahead and do that and have my hot tea. While i do some yoga so that my body can kind of just relax and get ready for bed. Oh all right guys. It is 10 15, so i'm gon na try and get to sleep now so that i can wake up early and get myself together for my hr meeting um. So that marks the end of my first nighttime routine. I hope you guys enjoyed it i'll catch. You guys in the next one
