Caring For Color Treated Hair | Hair Care Q&A

Hey guys, okay, so this is a QA / how to take care of color treated hair. So if you don't believe she actually has a full relaxer, we just did a retouch relaxer on her and she has gotten haircolor right. So in the interim of course, I'm gon na be styling. Her oh wow answer any questions that you guys might have. So now is the time to ask. If you have any questions, I have my narrator here and my coil and they're gon na read the questions off to when you ask, but in the meantime, what we're doing now is she got a full relaxer. Today we did a mild relaxer on her. It'S been seven weeks since she actually got her color. So if you see she has new growth and we actually did a retouch cover on her in between that time. So now it's real up today, so a lot of people are like. Oh, my god, you relaxed her hair and she has color it's more impossible, but it really depends on number one who does it and if they know what they're doing so, my iron is on 400 right now: silk, her slash, partially stopper and I'm using a ceramic Iron for this keep in mind, she is still color treated. This hair is still fragile, so you can't just use high heat. Some people would want to use like 375 or 350. The reason I'm not using 375 or 350 is because, at the end of the day, I don't want to have to silk her multiple times using the iron. So that's why I'm just using it at 400 and then just doing one to one and a half passes right? Okay, so what I'm doing is I'm taking diagonal partings, but I'm partying in big sessions hold you the reason why I'm doing it in big sections is because yes, she's color treated and she just got a relaxer and I'm utilizing heat to straighten her. So I took her out slightly, so I want to take bigger partings than you normally would, and I don't want them to be too small, because her hair is still delicate. So you have to keep in mind that when you're doing stuff to hair like this, it's not go here. You have to treat it as if it was a very fragile baby and even though her hair isn't falling out, it's still fragile, but it's still pretty. Isn'T it so my iron that I'm utilizing is the h2 Pro? Unless I do a Q & A this, is my last work day of the week. So what is the haircare process for a client who has a color of this magnitude? Number one shampoo, condition, moisture, moisture, moisture, moisture and more moisture. Remember she is relaxed. She also has a high lift color and she still retouches her new growth. Should I say, every six to eight weeks right. So guess what that is like the perfect chemistry for breakage, if not taken care of, but she does hurt, do those is to take care of her hair. I only really see her every two weeks since we have gotten this color, but at home you study to make sure that you're utilizing a good moisturizing shampoo, a good moisturizing, conditioner you're, doing you're, strengthening you're doing that kind of thing. You have box braids now and you're fighting frizz. How are you fighting frizzy? You have box braids right now and it shouldn't be frizzy. Let me understand your question, so you have box braids, but you have friends. Is it you mean like in between the actual braid, where it's braided, it's pretty it shouldn't be, especially if you just got them, do you do beans or breeze? I don't do any weaving outside of I tip micro links and the brain is sewing and Randy say. Yes, I probably get some - I boil a pot of hot water depending on how long or close to your scalp. It is be careful with this part, but you can boil some hot water and dip your brains into that, or you can use some rap foam and put it on the actual braids put a scarf on and go under a heated dryer and let that dry, that'll Kind of help, but it kind of shouldn't, be first in with box braids. I think that has a depends on who did it and what they use when they did it or it's not braided tight enough. So if you notice her scalp is one color at the new girl, one color at the inche line and then her other color. So when we did her color initially we did what we call shadow root. A shadow root is a darker roots, and then it goes into this lighter color. Now it has grown out right, so she has the choice of either retouching her shadow root or just letting it grow out. This way, most times how you fix that is either you will go ahead and relax her hair and wait a couple weeks in into her shadow root again or you can retouch it with a semi-permanent color and cover from root to mid shaft here or about. I guess it's like an inch and a half out and then make all of it the same color from the natural color and that's how you can kind of fix that issue. If it's even an issue for some people, they don't even care me personally. It looks nice depending on if it's blended, the right way so with her relaxer, she is going to get a trim which is standard for me. Whenever you get a relaxer, you are getting a trim. There'S no way around that me personally. If you're trying to hold on to those dead ends or those Swit ends, and you really aren't trying to take care of your hair, I do too thank you. So we're almost done with the silking out part of my relax, color treated client here now. I don't want you guys to think that this is okay, so her hair is really really healthy. That means you can get these high life colors she's still shed. She still sheds, like anyone else, but her hair care at this point when you're getting stuff like this, your hair care has to be like through the roof. You really have to take really good care of your hair and make sure that you're using quality products and having an actual regimen for this to actually last and work, because a lot of people will get color and they think that, okay, by just color, covering that High left color up, it's gone and it's not gone. It'S still there. It'S there until the hair grows out. This is a permanent change. I took 600 so her next treatment after this relaxer will be a protein treatment in two weeks. That'S how it works all right for me, so this is a Q & A you guys can act. However, many questions. This is the time. Trust me. This is the time I probably won't be back on it so sometime next week. But the vest can be used if you need to and if her hair is longer, I definitely utilize the mess because it gives me even playing around, but I know her hair already. I'Ve been doing out here for quite some time now, so I'm just kind of comfortable with her hair. This is a cut, but it's a it's, not a trend back, that's called a cut miss. So this is a cut vest. It goes around the neck. It has a magnet in the front that holds it and it sits. So it allows you to have that area to play and cut that's a cut. Miss I've already done the cut, so I don't need to cut this right. Okay, so I got to show you something and I'm gon na, let her tell you again on her own, so let me turn this way, so you guys see this spot here, where the hair is growing back great, that spot where that hair is growing back right Here she has her little follicles coming out.
