Hey everyone, its Lily, and I want to show you all how I like to put on my wigs. This is Sophia from new all the wigs. I have a review on her on my Instagram, so before I put any type of product on my head, I like to just throw her on and get her positioned. It might look a little crazy at first, so I like to just make sure that I have her aligned exactly where I want to be wearing her. You definitely want to make sure that the lace by your ears are lined up right so that it fits nice and comfortably. So once I like, where the wig is lying, I just want to make sure that all the hair is out of my face because I'm going to be putting gel on so what I normally do is I like to just clip up the front part around my Hairline and then I just put the rest into a little low ponytail once the hair is all out of my face. I just like to slide my wig back a little bit and then this is the funny part, because I look gorgeous then I just take my got to be glue. Hair gel this stuff is freaking amazing and I just apply it where my wig is gon na. Be laying - and I don't know why this takes me ten years to do it really shouldn't so I'm just gon na speed this up a little once I put all the hair gel on, I just like to take a blow dryer to make sure that the glue Is nice and tacky this part isn't necessary, but I just think it makes it easier to put your wig on so that one you do slide it to where it needs to be the glue, isn't just slipping everywhere. Now I'm just bringing my wig forward and before you put it down, you want to make sure it's exactly where you want it, because once you put it down you're gon na mess up all the gel. So now I just Pat it into place, and I like to push down the top first and then bring the ears over once I have everything pushed down where I like it. I like to just take something flat like the back of tweezers and I go through, and I try to push down any lace that I think is pulling up a little bit. Sometimes you might have to go in with some extra gel or glue just to be sure, so I sped this up, but really all I'm doing is just going through and making sure that all the lace is laying nice and flat that little least bit right there. It was giving me some trouble. I think I need to cut it a bit, but if you have any pieces are being stubborn, just try to go in with some extra gel or glue. Now I just take this scarf and I like to tie it around my head, where I put the glue - and I think this just really helps to set it once I have that tied up. I just like to go with my blow dryer, just to make sure that the gel is really set into place once you have this stuff on your wig really is not going to move until you want it to. Sometimes I like to just give it a couple minutes with the scarf on just to make sure. Now all the gel is super dry and that wig is not going anywhere. So I like to just brush it through, and then I like to go through and pick out any baby hairs that I think are glued down a little bit too much to give it more of a natural look. Now I just wet a cotton swab and I like to just get rid of any excess gel that I see on my forehead because it looks super shiny. Then I just gone with a little bit of bronzer. When I do my makeup before I put my wig on, I try to avoid my forehead, so I like to just touch it up a little bit now she's looking cute now, I just wanted to show you guys how I sometimes like to wear my hair with This little scarf, I have a whole bunch that I got on Amazon and it's such a cute. Look. It'S actually super easy. I just fold the scarf in half and then I tie it behind my neck and just position it where I like it. Then I just pull out a few hairs in the front and that's literally it and it's so cute now. I also want to show you guys how this wig can be worn in a ponytail. I'M just gon na do a low ponytail. Since I didn't secure the back, but if you put some glue or gel in the back, then you can put it up in a high ponytail, which is so awesome. Thank you so much for watching. I hope I helped you out a little bit and I'll see you next time.

With A Twist: This video made me feel a lot better about the fact that I will likely need a wig soon.

Box Shaped Beauty: What wig? Girl that’s your hair

Dianna Shuster: She's gorgeous without the wig too.

India Black: Just a tip for anyone who is new to lace fronts, practice on a cheap amazon lace front before starting to invest, wigs can be expensive and if you’re still learning, start with really affordable ones and once you feel more comfortable with wearing and installing wigs, try saving up for a good quality wig (if you don’t like the synthetic ones)❤️

Lily Rose: You make it look so easy and you look stunning with or without your wig!

Sarah Hunter: Don’t have alopecia, and I don’t use wigs, but I still watched till the end. Why are hair videos so satisfying?

Emma Rose: I have so much respect for your confidence. I’ve had alopecia for around 5 years and I’ve worn wigs ever since I shaved my head. I lost my hair in one month to alopecia ! It really made me insecure and I still haven’t grown much confidence. I used to become very anxious when I noticed people looking at my wig, and I was scared to tell people that I had alopecia, because I would overthink the things they would imagine about me being bald, having patches of hair missing. I eventually became more careless to what people thought and would just let them know I had alopecia, and explain to them what it is if they didn’t know. But to this day the only person that’s seen me without my wig is my brother. I can’t bring myself to tell show else. But you’re inspiring, and beautiful. Thank you for this video!

Wendy Lopez: Finally a girl I can relate to

Just N: I’m so happy to have come across your video... I’m just getting into the wig world due to an illness and I’m scared. This video made some stress and tension go away

KayJay Beauty: where did you get this wig from??? it's stunning and it looks like it matches you skin tone so well

Deb M: First off it looks amazing, but I had no idea that putting on a wig was such an ordeal and requires practice. I thought you just yanked them on like a hat and went about your business. Lol.

rhyan lumilay: Jeez I love how you done it perfectly, I would never know that's a wig if I didn't see you put it. Actually your still gorgeous without them :-) you really makes our day a bit more happier and inspired.

N: Love the look! But I just wanted to say big thanks to all the black girls out there who led the way with these ideas whether it's using the Got2be Glue trick to help keep the wig down or picking out the baby hairs to make it look more natural. When dealing with alopecia years ago, they literally were the only ones who had videos out there to show people how to wear wigs properly

Kristie Stinson: Thank you for sharing your story. I'm sure it gave a lot people strength especially if they are going through the same thing. The wig looks beautiful and absolutely natural!

Sharon Wright: Thank you for posting. I developed AT this past year at an older age, and just got my first wig a couple of days ago. Many of the videos are for people that have bio-hair. It is nice to see tips from someone that has the same landscape that I do.

Carol Driehorst: Just so beautiful, I'm so glad that you didn't give in to your alopecia. You look gorgeous in your wig and it looks so natural.Blessings to you and your Family.

kammara: She is beautiful, with or without hair. The way she puts on the wig is great! I would not recommend to lick the glue though, it may contain: Isopropanol, Ethyl Acetate, Heptane...

Ronda S: Honestly I would have never known, looks wonderful!

Melanie Irwin: I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for this video. My mom has alopecia. I can't even remember far back enough to a time where she wasn't been afflicted by this disease. Anyways, I am on the pursuit of helping her update her wigs while learning how to customize and apply them for her. She has been wearing and repurchasing the same crappy synthetic ones since the 90's. This is how I came across your video! I am so excited to share this video with her to show her how far wigs have come and how many OPTIONS she has not only for different ways she can wear them (she's always wanted a ponytail!) but application methods....However, I am most excited to show her that there's an entire alopecia community out here! She has always felt shame around her alopecia...I believe your channel will truly inspire and empower my mom as well as many others. Thank you again, you beautiful human!!

Progyanika Saikia: It's my first ever visit to your channel and I must say I respect you for how beautiful and brave you are Loads of love♥️♥️

Sophia: Truly amazing! Looks easy when you do it but I suspect it isn't.. just wondered how do you remove it? I'm totally new to lace wigs

Gigi Marr: Absolutely beautiful!!!!

wmstchic: Thanks for posting. Nice to have someone I can identify with! I’ve had alopecia & worn a wig for 30 years. Question for you - do you ever have issues with raggedy ends on your wigs? I usually wear just one wig and replace it annually. My last two have seemed to get frazzled ends much more quickly. This has happened with bot synthetic as well as human/synthetic blend wigs. I don’t use heat on them so that’s not the problem. Just wondering if you’ve had that experience. Note that I usually stick with brands I’ve had good luck with for consistency. Thanks for the video!

Julie Lines: That looks amazing I also think you look amazing with out it x

Jeromy Gumm: Gorgeous with and without the wig. Those eyes, that smile...
