Affordable Human Hair Wig Review/Unboxing With Alopecia

Hello, everybody and welcome back to my youtube channel on the art of alopecia. For those who don't know me, my name is marcy and i have an autoimmune condition called alopecia universalis. Basically, what that means is my immune system mistakenly attacks, my hair follicles, and that is why i am completely bald and balding throughout my body and on this channel we talk all about hair loss, we do lots of week, reviews tips, tricks, tutorials, q, a's. All of that fun stuff and for those who don't know, i'm also very active on two other social media platforms. I have my instagram and my tick. Tock tick tock, you say: tink talk, tick tock. I would be happy to chat with you guys, but for today's video, what is new guys i am doing yet another wig review. I am really really hoping that once my wig reviews start to kind of settle down i'll, be able to do more kind of support based or maybe tutorial based videos, because i'm really lacking in those it's just the wigs keep coming, and you guys know how much I love wigs on this channel. I try and review all different kinds of wigs because i know how expensive they can be, and you know everyone's different. Everyone has different needs and i'm going to close my window because someone's doing construction right across my street and they're being annoying sorry guys just got a little annoyed there. It just it aggravates me. It'S like they don't even know that i'm filming, i know they don't know. I'M telling come on, have respect for the rest of the neighbors. Anyway, i don't mind. I'Ve shut the window, so hopefully it will be silent from now on, but for today's video, let's get into the actual reason why you clicked on this video um, i'm going to be reviewing yet another wig from uni wigs. You guys know how much i love uni. Wigs um, i have reviewed a whole bunch of their wigs, mainly synthetics um, but i did review their christy remin remy human hair. I believe it was my second video on this youtube channel, which actually kind of blows my mind how many videos i've made so far. Wow, like i only started this last christmas anyway, um so uni. Wigs have kindly sent me one of their newest arrivals um. Her name is miranda and she's, also another remy human hair, which i can't wait to unbox for you guys. So i have the wig laid out i've kind of already, given her an unboxing on my tick tock channel. So if you haven't check that out, go check it out, they sent me a few things um. So, as for the box, you guys know that i love to do a little unboxing and review on the packaging. I think it's so important, so this is the box that it comes in. It is one of those magnetic ones which i love. They are super sturdy. Um, it got a little wrecked in the mail, but not not huge, not huge. I'M not complaining. Still, a very sturdy box got ta love a magnetic box. Those are my favorite and, i always say in every video once you start investing in high quality wigs. You want to make sure that you have high quality packaging to extend your wig's lifetime when it's not on your head and to keep it nice and safe right, um. So inside the box they gave me a wig cap. You can never have too many wig caps. I always keep my wig caps for when my friends want to try on my way, because i don't obviously need a wig cap. Some people who are bald will wear wig caps, um just for comfort or for security um, but not me anymore um. They sent me a little resistance band if you wanted to sew that in for more security, along with some additional clips that i won't be needing because your girl doesn't have any hair um, they sent me a little booklet. So this comes with every uni, wigs wig um, every basically a package. It'S basically your guide. If you are new to wearing wigs, i would highly recommend keeping this um, because this has all the content that you're going to need for wearing your wigs, how to wash them how to style them. Can you use heat on them, blah blah blah? There'S lots of amazing information in there very handy um. They sent me this, which i have no idea what it is, so i'm going to give it an open. What'S this, oh, it's like a cute little clip to help kind of curl the fronts of your wigs to make it look more natural and more kind of waved back. This is awesome. I'M gon na try that definitely they sent me these, which i have never seen before. So, let's give them a try. What are they, i feel like there's some kind of maybe tape or lace protectant or maybe to put on the part to make it kind of disguise the part, i'm not sure, but i will keep you guys updated on those, because i'm very curious to know what They are, and then they also sent me a uni wigs drawstring bag. I love these. These are great for storage, great for traveling. You guys know how much i love these okay without further ado. Let'S talk about this gorgeous wig, so introducing miss miranda. As i said, she's a remy human hair wig, she is so soft. I am in love with the texture of the hair um. So as for her cap construction, she is a mono top. There is no lace at the front. If it looks like there's like there isn't um, it actually looks kind of transparent like this, but it's mono top don't be fooled um. It is machine, wefted um. As the base there are the adjustment straps along with ear tabs on both sides. You will you guys will be so surprised when i try this on how natural it looks without that lace transition. I am kind of blown away by how just like flat and realistic it looks so i can't wait to try it on i'm going to give you a little bit more specs. So you know a little bit more about the wig, so she is 13.5 inches long. She is 130 density, which is like the perfect density for me, because i have a very small head and i don't like too much hair on my head, doesn't say anything about the um, the color of the wig, and i don't even want to attempt to try And name this color, it's like a really beautiful, um kind of like an ashy blonde. I want to say, but it also has some warm warm tones. I don't know colors you guys know, i don't know colors um, but the cap is 20 inch or 22 inches. Sorry, but the amazing thing about uni wigs is, if you do have a small size head like me, you can always request your wigs in a smaller size. They don't give you an option on the website, but if you do contact customer service, they will be happy to help you out. That'S what they've done for all of the wigs that they have sent me um. I just asked for a smaller size and they always deliver. This is such an amazing fit on me um. My head, circumference is about 20 inches and this fits like a glove, so i am so happy with the fit, but without further ado, let's throw her on because i know you guys are anxious to see it so ear. Tabs are going right in front of my ears, i'm just going to flip it on. This is supposed to be one of those ready to wear wigs, which i would 100 agree with, because you really don't have to do a lot with it. Let'S give her a little brush, okay, guys! This is miranda me first, just adjust it properly guys. Let me give you guys an up close of this part. I am kind of blown away. I'Ve never seen a mono top this realistic. Before, like look at that, are you seeing that? Are you seeing that that is so natural looks like it's growing out of my scalp? I think the only thing that i would do to help kind of disguise this little inch of whatever it's whatever the material is. I would just go in and add a little bit of baby hairs in there and if you go um in my instagram link tree, there is a link in there to like an amazon gadget that i tried out it's kind of just like a hair razor um. It'S what they use to make or to make baby hairs in wigs and stuff like that, so i would highly recommend going to get yourself one of those. If you want to customize it a little bit more to make things, look a bit more natural, but i think if you added a little bit more baby hairs there, it would completely disguise that little part i'm going to give you guys an even up close wow. Like wow wow wow, i am so impressed by that again. I'Ve never seen a mono top that realistic and you guys want to know the best part about this wig. Let me just share the price. This is 739 just take a moment close your eyes and think about that. That is freaking cheap for a human hair. Wig that looks this natural guys come on wow. They also have a few other um new arrival monotops just looking. I believe there is a darker one: oh yes, her name is serena. This is what she looks like sorry. If you can't see it um and i think they have an even shorter one um, which is um close to black, i believe, and that one's only 469 dollars guys the options that uni wigs has they are by far the most affordable wig company. By far, i will always tell people if you're looking for an affordable wig go to universe.com because they have so much selection. I'M always very impressed with their wigs. Just look how stunning this is. Oh, my goodness. I love it so much. I think, in terms of making this even more natural, my suggestion would be to go to a wig, stylist or a colorist um. Just don't don't go to someone who doesn't have any knowledge on wigs. I would hate for you to spend this kind of money and spend even more money on customizing it. If they don't know, please please do that. For me, just don't go to someone who's not knowledgeable in wigs, but i would maybe add in a little bit of a darkened root. They do kind of have a darkened root um, but i think for me personally, i would like an even darker root. I think cutting in some more layers. I see that they kind of cut in their layers, but obviously every face is different um. So i think it's really important for the wig to frame your face properly and maybe even giving it some more depth um on the sides and even in the back i'll show you guys what the back looks like. It is very flat on my head and the cap is super comfortable, very, very breathable um. As i said, the density is fairly low, which i love. I just don't think that there's anything negative about this, i would also add some more baby hairs throughout. Obviously, you do have some limitations in terms of putting it up. Um you wouldn't be able to put in a high pony just due to the cap construction. You would need a full lace um if you wanted to accomplish like a high pony um, but there are a few things that you can do. If you do add baby hairs, you could do like a half up half down and then once you have those baby hairs, you could um bring them down to help kind of disguise this kind of thick parting, but yeah. Oh, my goodness, yeah. This wig is so gorgeous. If i'm being 100 honest guys, i think the price of this wig for what you get is an absolute steal. I have tried and reviewed so many wigs in my lifetime and never have. I ever come across a wig of this quality. Um for that lower price, so i would highly take advantage of this if you're looking for a new wig if you're looking for an easy wig just to throw on in the morning like it literally looks so so fabulous coming out of the box, i think if I wanted to wear it. I would probably just take the blow dryer and maybe kind of just add, like volume um. I think that would make things look a whole lot more realistic, but i think this is a steal. I would highly recommend this wig again. You just throw it on and you're out the door. You don't need any glue, you don't need any adhesive. It is truly a phenomenal wig for the price that you're getting it at. Obviously, this is not going to last you for years and years on end i mean it might if you have different ways to kind of alternate between days, but it really just depends on how often you're planning on wearing it. This is such an amazing throw on and go wig. I am so so so impressed. It really depends on how good of care you take care of it um, and i know that monotops aren't known for lasting the longest with their hair. Just due to the construction of it, the hairs are kind of forced into the cap, but the cap is not too too strong. It'S not like a silk top, i feel, like silk tops, are the best cap constructions for keeping the hair in um, but yeah. It'S also machine wefted at the back, so it's not hand woven over there, which could also prevent the wig from lasting ears and ears. But i'm telling you if you are looking for a wig that is super realistic and you are really good at taking care of your wigs by this wig or, if you're, a brunette buy the other one. I think they have run two of those just to give you guys, tips, tricks and tutorials um on how to make your wigs look more natural or how to style your uni wigs. They do really have fantastic customer support and they have so much variety of wigs. On their website they are truly probably the most diverse um wig website that i've ever seen such a variety, i'm always so impressed with their new arrivals, but yeah. This is miranda guys. I would highly highly highly recommend going to check her out. I am so impressed honestly blown away by this um yeah. I, like i'm kind of kind of speechless i feel like if you take those extra measures in making it more realistic. On top of how realistic it already looks, such as the baby hairs, the roots, maybe some layering and some depth into the wig, i think you could have a truly magnificent wig and it is human hair. So you can use your hot tools on it. Straighten it. Curl, it crimp it put hot rollers in obviously use your heat protectant before treat it as if it was your own. That is the key to extending its lifetime, but yeah. Oh, my goodness guys this is so gorgeous, but anyway, that is it for today's review. Guys.
