Denim Blue Layered Wig Revamp | Color Removal & Redying Process

What'S up y'all, it's alfred and i am back with another video so for today's video y'all, i'm going to be doing a wig install a cute little denim blue situation for today turn off this water. It doesn't feel like i am like yelling and screeching over that, but today's video y'all we're going to be transforming one of my old wigs and we're going to be turning it into something totally different, cute little trick. That y'all could do to some of your old wigs that y'all might have laying around don't want to go ahead and buy a new wig. If you just want to. You know transform one that you already have watching this video, because i'm going to show you all the steps that i'll be doing to just basically strip the color from my old colored wigs and turn them into something totally different. So i'm going to be transforming my mint wig that i did a couple weeks later to a denim blue situation: pastel denim, bluish, muted, denim blue. In my hair. I just keep thinking dinner blue denim, blue denim blue. So that's what we're going to try to choose today, i'm going to show you all how i like to reinstall my wigs and everything like that when i'm done, i want to try to do like the little layer cut. My friend destiny has it right now and if i can cute our hair, so i'm like i have to do that right now. It'S your first time seeing my face or one of my videos, hello. I post a video without further ado, let's just hop right on into the video all right, y'all, so first step is getting this wig strip. This is her she's, a mint blue situation with some brown highlights in it. I know somebody is probably out there thinking, like you're, really just about to strip this, just to put blue right back on top of it yeah, because this is going to give the wrong undertone. That i need definitely need that one to have like a more cooler undertone and this one is warm as hell the greenish warmer side. I think i'm only going to go ahead and do two rounds of the removal process just because it is a pastel wig. So i don't think i need to do too too much so what you're going to go ahead and use to strip the color from your wig is some baking soda verifying shampoo. This one is like a dollar at walgreens when i first started doing this method. Y'All. That'S when i learned that there was lucky different kind of shampoos like moisturizing, clarifying purifying all of that type of make sure to get clarifying, and then you want to get some dish. Soap mix this all into a bucket with some hot water, i'm not going to like boil the water just as hot as my faucet goes. So i'm going to add some of the dish soap and the clarifying shampoo i'm going to use a lot just so i don't have to do too many layers, because i don't have that much baking soda. They ran out of baking soda at walgreens, so i literally have enough baking soda. Oh a lot. I have some episode up here. I'M running the water. The soap is gon na foam up and stuff. So i just like to grab the soap and i take it out as it's going as you're all doing it. You should see the color coming into the water and like leave it inside the water. So now what i'm going to do is push it all the way down at the bottom to the bottom, and then i'm going to let it sit. I'M going to come back in like 15 30 minutes to see how much color has you know left the wig. All right, so it's been like 30 minutes, and this is the progress on the wig. Oh i'm definitely going to need another round. This is where it's at right. Now it's giving like a grayish tint, so i want to do one more round and get all of that out, as you all can see all the colors in the water i'm gon na dump this out. So this is as much water as i'm gon na put for this time, because i'm running out of baking soda, so i just want to use a little water as possible, all right child. So it's been another 30 minutes now i'm gon na take the wig out and see all right. We can there all right. The color is going ahead and fading out because it wasn't as dark as last time. So that's a good sign, probably just like another round for the middle of the wig, basically like right here, gon na make sure to focus this part in the middle of the wig. So this is the last of my baking soda. So this is gon na have to do okay, child, so i'm gon na. Let that sit for like another 30 minutes, give that another 30 minutes to settle and process the color that i'm going to use to dye the actual wig. This little powder blue color, see if this gives me like the denim blue color that i'm going for and make some luxe blue in there as well, probably do a mix of powder, blue and luxe blue. Just to give me like that perfect combination. These are the two colors they're, damn near the same color one is just more like grayish toned and one is more like bluish toned when this gets done, processing and doing what it needs to do. I'M just gon na mix those in a bucket of water like i normally do and just start dying. The wig this last batch should have done the trick. I'M praying that it did, because i don't have no more baking soda, okay, dad she's blind all right child. So this is as much shampoo and dish detergent, as i'm gon na get it right now. Now we're gon na move on to dying the wig all right, so that was the powder blue. Now i'm going to take some of the luxe blue and mix this in as well [ Applause ]. So this is what we have right now very cute. It looks silver i like the roots to be a little darker, so we're gon na see what that does. I think i wanted to ombre to like a lighter gray, so i'm holding the end so the ends don't get dyed and they don't go darker. But, as you all see, this is the color we're getting. Oh, i love this wow. This is gorgeous. Okay, all right, charlie wig is under the dryer, now she's a cute little denim blue situation. I don't know if you all can see the color right here, but it looks a little purple right here, but yeah she fades down into an umbrage like a grayish tone. I'M gon na go ahead and get ready for bed, so i can get up tomorrow and you know finish the video and do what i have to do for tomorrow's work. What'S up y'all it's the next day i went ahead and shaved washed my face kind of showered, all that cute stuff. So now about to move on to the wig. She'S now done drying, and this is what she's giving color is so cute. It lays down to like a gray, but it's like the denim blue up here and i'm gon na go ahead and start styling it. What i'm gon na do is just straighten it out and then i'm gon na layer it okay, okay, so i just got done. Straightening, the wig and stuff i'm gon na do my makeup really quick. Yeah, i'm gon na do my makeup really quick and i'll be right back to install the way. I'M now, i'm done with the face quick little beach, i'm to go ahead and move on to the hair. So this is her first thing: i'm gon na do is just pop some foundation in the cap because it is transparent lace. So it's just going to give like a white cast. If i don't do that, install it, i'm going to use the got to be glue. Hairspray, like always: okay, okay, okay, okay, also, the lace is now on and everything. So now i'm just going to move right on into baby ass. Okay, so so i think i showed y'all how i like to do my baby hairs. Now i showed y'all on a wig like on myself grab. It then take the small little flat irons. These are the 1.5 lines from eap heat and start curling them back. Okay, this cute definitely giving what's supposed to happen gabe. Now i'm going to go ahead and move on to the layering, so basically, what i'm going to do is i'm going to bring all the hair up to the front, because i want the layers to be like kind of like right here. See this and then i'm going to throw all of this to the back, it's going to be all the hair. I want to layer out and cut going down, i'm going to use a cute little layering comb to do this one side down. So this is the layer i kind of like was turning my hair and couldn't it so that i can like get a good view. Okay, okay, perfect! This is as perfect as i'm going to get it so actually. Also, this is the finished hair go ahead and throw on my outfit and i'll be right back to go ahead and close out the video.
