How To Style A Cheap Synthetic Wig

Hi guys welcome back to our channel or welcome if you're new, my name is Melinda today, I'm gon na be showing you I'm not really sure what I'm gon na title. This video, like my $ 20 Amazon, wig or how I star on my wigs or how to make a wig look good. I really know, but I'm just basically like disclaimer. This is not like a mind-blowing wig video if you've watched 100 wig videos. This is not gon na, be any new information, but I just got this wig and I'm basically just really excited, and I want to make a video about it. It was only 20 dollars, and so I'm just gon na show you like what I do to put it on and how I style it but yeah. I hope you enjoy this video and give it a thumbs up if you do okay, so the first thing we're gon na do is put on our wig cap. So let me do that really fast and actually, oh, these are fake bangs. So since my hair is super short, I don't like it's only two right here, so I don't really have like um any special technique to putting on a wig cap. I kind of just put it on like this and then take all of my hair and I'll. Like tuck it behind my ears and then I'll grab, all of it and like literally just stuff it up in there, the next thing we're gon na do a viously is put the wig on, so I just grab it from the back. The bangs are at the front and I kind of set my head into it and then I'm like stopping the hair up into the wig, so keep in mind, I'm not a professional. This is just what I do, I'm actually not even close to a professional I've. No idea what I'm doing this is only like my third wig, but I love this - is this so fun? Okay, I'm also not a professional hairstylist, so I don't even know what to do with real hair. So don't do what I do because it may not work. Alright um so basically we're gon na kind of figure out together what we want to do. I know I want to kind of like frame it around my face a little bit better um and I may even like take some length off a little bit, so this kind of like gets shorter at the back, and what I'm thinking is. I just wanted to be less of like less dramatic, less of an angle right here and just kind of make it like a short little bob um, but this wig is really thin. It is not a super dense wig, so I definitely don't want to cut off too much um, because if I like add a lot of layers to this, you might start to see my hair through it, so we're gon na kind of start, slow. Okay, sorry for the placement change, but I just felt like I'm gon na, be able to see what I'm doing better. If I stand here so I'm just gon na start by brushing everything in the front you're kind of getting everything where it needs to be. I'M kind of pulling the larger pieces off to the side. This is really hard because the bangs really get in my eyes already. I, like the bangs so much more now that I've kind of brushed him out. Let me see if I can kind of push them up: no, okay, so um. What I'm gon na do. First is tuck my hair behind my ears and just pull like all the bangs forward, or at least a good majority of them and again I'm not a professional, I'm just gon na. Take it like this and take my scissors and just kind of chop in there. So it's not like a super like straight across bang when we're done, and I'm only doing a little out of time and then I'm gon na look at it cuz with a wig. You can't go back alright! Those are a little better. I'M wondering if I can like tease these a little nope. I want them to sit like a little more above my brow. Ah my freakin eyes, and I can't see okay, oh wait whatever I just did like worked. What I think I have hairs in my mouth. What I think I'm gon na do next. I think that a little bit of chopping helped and I'm kind of like pulling the hairs out to make them sit a little bit more loose and not be so. I pressed in my head next thing. I'M gon na do is kind of trim up around the sides of my face and I'm gon na really start small. With this I feel um and I'm just gon na kind of take my scissors that, like a downward angle and just kind of cut it like this, I kind of got these curls to go outwards. But I'm not sure if this is a heat-safe wig or not. I feel like that would definitely help all right, so I'm just gon na do the same thing at the other side and a cool trick, I saw someone do it's to take the hair and since I'm right-handed, to take the hair and flip it over and that Way when I cut this way, the hairs gon na spin back around and actually be going that way. Oh, that makes any sense. It makes sense to me these are so not haircutting scissors either. This is like the worst tutorial of all time. I have no idea what I'm doing we're on this journey together. Friends: hmm, I'm trying to figure out okay, I'm gon na pull these back and kind of see the length test yeah. I feel, like that's a good length, so what I'm gon na do is take this and I'm gon na take the ends and do the same technique. I did with the bangs, which is just jab my scissors up in there, I'm gon na kind of pull it tight and like trim down where it's like this, I think that's gon na make the curl look a little better yeah. Okay, I like that better. Oh, that didn't even cut that much off I'm trying to figure out how I even want to style it too. I think it would help too. If you had a lighter hair color. My hair is just so dark. You can see it. I see you can see it under there a little bit that sucks, so I'm just going to do the same thing to the other side, just trim it a little um. What I really want to try is, like, I think, really tight, like messy curls, would actually look really good on this. Okay, I'm gon na try heat on this. I'M very scared. If I burn my wig off, this is gon na, be the saddest video of my life. Wish me luck. Oh my gosh yeah, my straightener doesn't even go below 300. So that's not gon na work. I'M gon na try choosing it a little. That'S not really doing much okay, so what I think is gon na be the best thing for this wig and works great with any wig is to just put a hat on. This is the best way CAC because it makes any way that look a hundred times better um. I know I didn't do like that much to it, but this definitely makes it more wearable and another thing I love about having things with a wig. Is that um? You don't have to worry about paying extra money for a lace front. Wig Whigs can be like really expensive. Obviously, the most I've ever paid for a wig is like $ 40 cuz. I just like. I can't make myself spend that much money on awake, but um that one was a lace front. This one was only $ 20 and it's not a lace front, and it doesn't need to be because it has bangs, and I think that that makes it look way. More realistic, I may post more videos in the future on like how I style this wig, I'm not really sure, but I really love it with this little hat. I think it's super cute. This is probably how I'm gon na wear it. If I do wear it, but here's like the back, it looks like but yeah. I really love this wig. I think it's super cute and I think the Hat definitely helps a ton um. I may cut it a little more in the future, but um. I'M kind of scared, like I don't want to take too much off like I said I don't really know what I'm doing and I kind of like like if I take pictures or something it looks like it's a little bit longer in the front. I feel like it's a pretty good wig for only 20 dollars, it's really fun and especially, if you just want to use it for like taking pictures or something on your Instagram. I think it's really perfect. I know I'm definitely gon na do a bunch of like pink, related books or, like maybe Valentine's Day, looks I might post a few on so yeah. I'M really excited about it. It had really good reviews and they have a bunch of colors like orange blonde, like stark way. I think they had like gray black like a bunch of color, so I'm probably more because I really love this. I think it's so fun and it doesn't like give me a lot of bulk on my head, my head's already kind of big, and so whenever I add a wig, it just makes it look even bigger, and I think one of the main giveaways that you're wearing A wig is that your head looks extra big because you have all your hair like stuffed up in there, and this one doesn't do that, like I feel like it looks pretty good, especially for how big my hair or how big my head normally is so yeah. I really like it, especially with this hat. I think it makes all the difference like any hat, just throw it on there and it'll look 100 %, but um yeah.
