Hey guys, it's just the glam fixie, and this is how I style my hair. Like the incomparable Marilyn Monroe. Look at this idiot talking to herself. She forgot to turn on the mic: brilliant, brilliant, but yeah we're gon na start with spraying her hair and getting it wet all over and then we're gon na go ahead and comb it and make sure there's no tangles in there and separate the bottom section out. So that we can start from the bottom and work our way up, just talking to herself Wow good job Jess good job, so I'm gon na start with the second smallest set of foam rollers and I'm going to curl these going towards the floor. So I'm going under with this first row and I'm just gon na repeat that process straight across the bottom section and by the way I got these foam rollers at Walmart. I want to say for a pack of like 24, they were under 10 bucks. So you can get them Walmart CVS, Rite Aid, pretty much any little. Drugstore and they're super super cheap in the next section, I'm going to repeat the same process, but this time I'm using the smallest set of rollers that come in the pack and in my case these are blue. So again, I am rolling them towards the floor so that they curl under and not up and notice, I'm actually leaving the front sections out because I'm gon na use a different type of curl pattern for these guys, so yeah more of a face framing. So those are going to wait till the towards the end voila, it's so clean, isn't it sarcasm yeah then the next section same thing, but I'm going back to that. Second, smallest size going down to the floor, so I'm alternating from more of a medium size to a smaller. I don't want the curls to look too uniform, so I like them to be a little bit more random. Much like my life. Now I'm going to take my front section and those bangs and I'm going to separate them out and then take everything back and kind of pin it out of my way now I do have short Betty bangs. So this is a big challenge for me, but it is doable. You just have to be patient, so yeah you're gon na section, your bangs into three sections and take the smallest set of rollers. You have, and you are going to curl them away from the part, and this again you just have to have patience, and these little guys they're gon na want to pop out, especially you've got short bangs like me. Just keep working on it. Stay patient doesn't need to be perfect. All of the styling creams and stuff later will come into play with any little craziness happening. So I do my bangs in three sections. Obviously, as you can see, and all of them are going the same direction away from my part now I'm going to go in with the top section of the front of my face and these I'm going to curl towards my face. So I'm taking the second to largest size, which are the green in my case and I'm curling it towards my face and I'm going to mirror that on the other side and now for the bottom ones. I'M gon na use the same type of curler. But this time I'm gon na go away from my face. I'M talking to myself. No one's listening Jessica pay attention all right. So now I'm going to pin back the back section and I'm gon na go ahead and curl the little portion, that's right behind my bangs! So for this I use that same green size, which is the second largest, and I curl them the opposite way as the bangs. So, instead of going to the or away from the part, I'm now going to go towards the part - and I do that all the way across the top of the head and then one more section, I'm going to do the opposite way. So I'm gon na curl it the same way as I did my bangs this time, but this time I'm using the largest rollers, which again, in my scenario, are pink, so I'm alternating from one direction to the next for the crown of the head. Now, for this last little section in the back, I just take my pink rollers and I curl these up. That way. I get a little bit of a flip on the bottom of my hair in the back and I a very short hair. So I only needed two sections: now: I'm gon na take a bandana and just fold over one third of it, and then that is going to kind of cut the back of my neck, making sure I'm encasing all of those curls and I'm going to tie it Right behind my three bangs, because I just don't want to go in front, it would be annoying to me and then I'm just gon na go to sleep and let them dry. Look at you talking you crazy! It is the next day my hair should be dry. Here'S hoping and we're gon na go ahead and start the brush up. So first thing: first good girl, okay back into this, so we're going to take out our bandana and hopefully our curls last it looks like none of them completely fell out this one on the bottom is definitely hanging on for dear life. That'S okay and I'm gon na go ahead and start from the bottom and work my way up and take out these curls and see what we've got. I only picked a little worth in Annie and the clan from it had a child. It me all right so now that all the curls are taken out. I'M gon na go ahead and take this brush. It'S just like a plastic bristled, but not like the dense ones. Just almost like more like a comb and I'm gon na start brushing them out from the bottom look. That is a definitely a look. Come me tell you, okay, so now that it is brushed out, and I have a big frizz ball - I'm gon na start kind of finessing it and trying to get it into the form that I want. So I'm gon na start my bangs first and I'm pretty much just going to go in with my fingers and this teasing brush and just form the curls in the direction that I want. Now these little baby hairs are gon na have to take some pomade later. So be patient, it's not gon na happen right away. You'Re definitely gon na have to have some invested time to get the look that you want, but I'm going for more of a early 50s Marilyn style with a little bit, not a victory roll but a little bit of a curl going into the bangs. Because if you have bangs, that's really the only option for you in this hairstyle. If you don't have bangs, then you can go for more of a wave and more of the late 50s early 60s style that she did, which kind of had more like a bouffant. Look to it, but if you've got short bangs like I do, then you're gon na have to go for the early fifties style, which I'm okay with try honestly really love it. I think it's really sweet once those bags are for the most part done. I'M gon na go into the next section, which I'm pulling this actually behind my bangs a little bit forward to give my self kind of a wave, I'm gon na go the other side and start playing with it so yeah. This is pretty much just playing with your hair and kind of molding it into the shape that you want. So now that I'm getting closer to the style that I want in the end, I'm gon na go ahead and start using my Garnier Fructis pixie play. You can use any sort of styling pomade spiking pomade is a little bit thick sometimes, but I know that a lot of people swear by Suavecito. I'Ll be honest. I have not tried it yet. I'M always really curious, but I just have gotten around to it. But if you guys like it and think that it's worth it, then let me know if you think it's that much better than the stuff you can get in normal drugstores by all means. Let me know I'd love to give it a try. I just haven't really gotten around to it, but yeah you're gon na take some sort of styling, pomade and you're gon na start, using that to really solidify and smooth out your curls. So this is where it stops. Looking so frizzy and crazy. I got like one random hair there, that's just hanging them on for dear life and once we've heard bangs, you are not bangs give it up, go home hair there you go, but you're gon na use that pomade to give yourself the style that you want and Then same thing with that hair: that's pulling forward into that wave, I'm just running the pomade through it and really defining the shape that I want so less of a ringlet curl a little bit more of a wave type pattern, and this is where, if you've got Really super short hair. Like me, these little baby hairs, you can always hit those with a hot tool. If you want, you can just take a like half inch, curling iron and just curl it under so that ork sorry curl it going up towards your face and like a flip, so that it becomes part of the hairstyle not just like hanging out down there. But I'll be honest with you: I've got such fine baby hairs. Even when my hair is super super long. These guys don't grow so there's just no hope for them, like they're, not and they're, so small that I can't even hit them with like half-inch. If you won't really make a difference, so I pretty much just try my best to mold it with the pixie play and hope for the best. So not the front is a lot closer to what I want it to be. I'M gon na go more to the side in the back. I'M gon na smooth the top of the head and then bring my curls towards the broad up towards the bottom. Not I don't know brought them is but bring. My curls starts the bottom more together, yeah. I'M just molding the curls so that they're, not all one curl but they're, also not a million. I want them to be a little bit cleaner and if you find that you've brushed out too much don't freak out. Typically, you can just go back in with your fingers and kind of just reform those curls as long as you don't get them wet it's really hard to over brush out, that's typically their their salvageable. So once you have your curls, where you pretty much want them, you are gon na, go and take hairspray and really lightly. I say really lightly. This is probably more hairspray than most you've ever used in your life, but I'm a little bit extra when it comes to hair. That'S what growing up in theater will do for you never have enough hairspray. So you lightly spritz over your hairspray and then you are set, and this should last you all day I mean you might have to go in like reform a couple curls here and there, but for the most part you're done so that's it for this video. You guys, I hope you enjoyed it. I certainly did I love having my classic retro hair and I just think it's really fun to play with different styles. It kind of gives you a different personality. I don't know, maybe that's just me. Please don't forget to give this video a big thumbs up, subscribe and comment down below. Let me know again, if you guys, like Suavecito pomade, if it's something I should invest in or if it's not really worth anything, I'm very curious but yeah I'll talk to you guys in the comments and until next time, I'll see
