Hey everyone in this requested video I show how I cover my hair up at night for sleep. Covering your hair with a satin or silk scarf helps avoid breakage and keeps your hair moisturized. I personally like using scarfs because bonnets do not work well for me.

Want to see my throw back video on how I wrap my hair?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7eDXaJ6...

Everybody, it's me Megan in this video has been requested of me to do for so very long. You know like in some of my throwback videos. You see, people have seen me wear a scarf and they want to know how do I tie my scarf for nighttime subtle what I always like to use. First and I've been using a hair net on my hair ever since I was 14. So this is a triangle - hair net that I like using. So this is what it looks like, and this is I believe this is cotton. Now some people may be warning. Doesn'T that bother you making that you're wearing cotton on your hair? No because it doesn't really affect my hair or anything just because of the way I have it on my head and the fact that I wrote two scarves, so I like wearing a hairnet on my hair and because it also helps keep my scarf on at night And also it helps keep my hair neat at night. You know, sometimes, when you cover your hair up you if you sleep, while you know sometimes your scarf can fall off or if you have twists or something it can like, make your twists messy. So this just really helps tie down the style, or you know a roller. You know things like that, your flat twist or if you have rollers in your hair or are flexi rods, it helps keep them in place. So I'm gon na have my triangle facing down. Like this, I guess the tail and the two ends it won't fit in the frame. But it's quite big and the two ends all right here. So I'm gon na take it and put it behind like this, and I'm gon na go behind my ears and I have the two. I guess the two bunny ears or whatever, and I'm just gon na tie it. So there's a loop and I'm gon na put it in here through take the bottom and tie it and you don't want to tie it really tight. So I have the tongue now right here and I'm just gon na bring it over to the back and I'm gon na do another tie like that and bring it in loosely. So since this hair net has kind of like holes, I'm just gon na take the excess and just kind of tuck it like tuck it in around the holes in the back. So does it move now? You'Re not gon na be cute, like you're have a husband or a boyfriend. This I mean they're, just gon na, have to accept that this is not gon na, be a cute process for you, and they must understand this so um. Now I'm gon na take my satin scarf. I'Ve had this for me many years I had this exact scarf since I was 14. If I lose the scarf, I really don't know what I'm gon na do with myself, because I love this car, so this is on the side of triangle scarf. Also then, I got from my local beauty supply store when I lived in Cincinnati Ohio when I was 14, so this is the same exact one I've been using. So this is what that looks like. So I'm gon na go ahead and do the same exact motion that I did to tie my hair net. So I'm gon na put it around here, so I'm gon na take it quite low because I want my hair line in the back to be covered. So this time I'm actually going to cover my ears, just because that's my personal preference, you don't have to cover your ears, but I decide to, but I go ahead and cover my ears and tire in the same motion: tuck it through the hole. So basically, I'm tying above the knot that I did my hair now and I'm just gon na pull the middle tongue just a little bit and bring it up, take and tie it again and right now, I'm gon na take the remaining flaps and I am just Going to tuck it towards the back area. So, like you have these little slots right here from like when you tie, so you just tuck it in that area right there like that and you just kind of tuck in the extra fabric like this and you just kind of tuck whatever you want to tuck Away, so that is how I have been tying my scarf every since I've been 14, so it's whether that I have a circle wrap, I'm tying it the same way like in my hair flat iron and I'm gon na wrap it. You know like that. I'M tiny! A big same exact way when I have a flat twist or a braid out or anything like that, it's tied the same exact way. Now some people may be asking do I have to use a satin scarf? No, you can use a satin or silk scarf. I wouldn't really advise you use cotton as far as the top one, just because it'll be like really really dry, your hair out, so it's just all your preference again do or use whatever works for you. This is just me, showing you guys how I tie my scarf up at night for sleep and it stays the same exact way when I wake up in the morning, so this method works. For me, I can't say I work for everyone, but this is just giving you guys an idea. So if you guys do have any questions feel free to comment below about that, and I will try to answer that for you and thank you guys so much for watching.

RaenaJenks: Even though I am now going natural, you are still one of my favs because you were the first to inspire me to go on a hair journey. I grew my hair from sl to bsb in 2 years. Now I'm back at apl because of the new natural journey but just wanted to express my happiness about knowing how to care for my hair now, thanks to you for inspiring me!

E Smith: You have literally saved my life with that triangle hair net! I ordered one from Amazon and I have been wearing it ever sense! It really does stop the scarf from slipping off!

ulovemegz: Heyyyyy, thanks. There are always basics to everything that we do that some people or young girls who don't have the help at home to do. Like hair journey basics, eyeshadow and makeup basics, hygiene basics and hair basics like putting on a scarf. I try my best to make videos for the needs/wants of everyone. An 11 year who is motherless requested this video.

jlmckinneyjr: Single dad with a 5 year old daughter... this was incredibly helpful!!

Ava Moss: Thank you megz for helping the little girl and me! Keep up the great work!

chels: Omg!! Ive been using the same scarf & method foreverrrr! Got it from my mom . Me & my mom & sisters do this. It's really great. A lot of my friends think its weird but it's all ive ever used

amyy164: Your hair looks amazing! Thanks for sharing

Tonisha305: Love your channel!!! Still can't believe someone requested a video on how you tie your hair at night.

Keya Family Vlogs: So true. Satin/Silk most def prevents breakage. It glides against the hair as opposed to snagging it. Thanks for sharing.

Dar LA r 972: Thanks for this great tips I realize I did wrong and that's why the scarf easily run away from my head. Thanks !!

uhhlisa1987: Do you ever shift/move your scarf to tighten your wrap? Or do you just leave it on place?

phxgsxrbae: Thanks for this.. I'm going thru postpartum hairloss & the circle wrap was irritating my edges and pulling them out :( I need to get a net.. I think that's why my scarf falls off at night

ulovemegz: Hey, I'm sure that will happen if its tied tight. I personally have mine very loose.

lovingcollege1: What do you do to your hair at night time when you have a braid out?

thagirlb: My fiancé is always reminding me to tie my hair up lol!

teemoneybaby: Girl. That's a gramma/auntie net scarf! Takes me back to the 80s! **runs to store to find one**

JChisolmful: She is right. My hair was so unhealthy all of my life, my mom was not a hair expert. I shaved my head in September of 2011, watched women on Youtube, and now i have a head full of bouncy, shiny, healthy kinks and curls.

ulovemegz: Hey, those are on it's way. Being that I am a mixed channel I will cover many different kinds of videos at different times. Thank you for you understanding and patients.

Angel Shakita: Great video! I like that you use a hair net cuz my satin scarf always slides off in the middle of the night

Boogiefizzie: Usually, one will get headaches if they tie the scarf and knots too tightly. I notice when I tie mine more loosely that I don't have a headache. :-)

Rachel Cates: Could you do an updated video on different/best methods to wrap straight hair?

Camia Lastname: You're on it with these videos. I see you lol. Great video :)

contessa washington: thanks so much will be trying that now !!

ulovemegz: Hey, I wouldn't necessarily say for dummies if you meant it in that way. This was requested by an 11 year old motherless child who lives with their father. These videos tend to help out younger girls who are not taught this in their homes.

ulovemegz: Hey, I moisturize and seal them rebraid and cover at night with my scarf.

lovingcollege1: Did you ever do a tutorial on braiding b/c I do not know how to braid? Also, I am going to get my sister to braid my hair so I can do a braid out for my family get together this weekend. Could I wear it in a loose bun when I go to bed at night?

princessdiamond123: Ok thanks, I will use this method, I have both the net & a pink satin scarf that Ive had since I was 12 lol,(although I hv several) grandma bought it so I call it my lucky scarf (thot I was the only 1) I wld only use da net 4 a roll n set, but I think your way will prevent my scarf from twisting@nite, thanks much girly:):)!

bosslady1598: OMG! LOL! I have not seen a hairnet like that in years! Wow! Thanks for sharing!

Chloe: hey meg serious question! @ulovemegz !! i have been up transitioning for 7 months now from relaxed to natural hair and there is. a patch of hair that just won't grow and i trim my ends every 2-3 months and my hair on top is longer than the bottom and i don't know why?? i use the hair mayo and moisturize and use oils, castor-coconut.

Theheartofa preston: I do the same thing when I have a wrap.

gwen jokoh: Thanks girl

Kianta Williams: I've tried tying my scarf many different ways and my scarf alway need up falling off. The scarf even ends up at the foot(END) of the bed.

Jasmine: hahahah Megan!!! You look good even with the scarf! <3

ulovemegz: Hey, I linked that video in my description where you can watch how I wrap my hair.

Yasmine Bedward: "You are not gonna be cute, your husband/boyfriend is just gonna have to accept you" LOL THAT IS HILARIOUS!!!! I can't be cute going to bed

butterfly9274: Some people have no brain they think everyone grew up with their moms; do what you do Megz!

Rori Rants: Thank you! :)

Kawela M'ule: Hi Megan I wanted to know if you're still stretching your hair?

ulovemegz: For me when I did that it slipped off the satin.

BEAU246868: HEY MEGZ LOVE YOUR VIDEOS WHERE CAN I PURCHASE THAT HUGE HAIR NET THANKS

Jewel Tones: I use a satin scarf first and then secure it with a mesh wrap. I'm a violent sleeper so I need the extra security, lol

brit brat: that would be amazing because I can't wrap my straightened hair properly to save my life. It always has dents and stuff in it

delectiscent: The knots don't give you a headache? Or are you just used to the headache since you've been doing it for so long?

Wheein Here: "This is not gonna be cute" *ends up looking cute* Lol. You're so perfect, I can barely stand it.

Shannin Cornelius: Can u do a video on working out and trying to take care of your hair please? I love to work out but end up rocking a bun or ponytail

Ms Black: I love how u named the parts of the scarf.. tounge, bunny ears.. lol

milkshake09d: Where did you get your scarf from ?

Ashley Thomas: Hey I use the same relaxer yuh use.. I was wondering can I use a regular relaxer?????

ulovemegz: Hey, are you referring to when my hair is straightened.

A. Harrell: Can you do a video on your favorite prodcts to condition your hair

loriparis25: Stop complaining and read. The title of the video explains what she's going to do and the description box explains it even more. If this type of video doesn't suit your needs then don't click on it. Some women just have to be nasty and catty. Not a cute look! I'm sure there are plenty of people who appreciated the demo. Thanks Meg!

Negra Caribeña: How often do you blow dry your hair?

MonStar: Thanks!

shamalama5592: I can definitely notice her gaining weight, not that it's a bad thing cause its what she wanted and looks good and healthy but anyway her hair looks goooooodddd and juicy and shiny lol

89Virgobaby: Who doesn't know how to tie their hair up at night? -_-

monie: where did you buy the net from?

pinkroses912: Oh my gosh Megz...your voice goes kinda "Michele" sometimes. Wow...I never noticed until I started watching R&B Divas LA. Thank God you are not as high and squeaky as her, but you are up there girl.

nyekole2010: i dont know why people are commenting thing such as this is so basic or who doesnt know this i mean come on now yeah it seems simple when you are taught how but think of it like this as a child not everyone is taught my mother taught me about being a young woman and taking care of my body but not everyone has that so kudos to you megz for teaching people the "basics" because someone is watching you learning something they were taught

Tracey M Smith: How to tie a scarf.???? OK what happened to your makeup tutorials

Ms Black: lmfao no i actually dont.. ur funny

super_woman_me: If he's not shallow then he should not even care about her face being pretty or not but should care about what's in her head and how she represents herself. what was the point of your comment anyways?

Ms Black: this video is kinda basic.. its not that hard to explain how to tie a scarf. i dont think it needed to be a video...just my opinion
