Hello, so today i am very excited to show you guys how to do a half up: half down curtain, bang hairstyle! So let's get started. Um you're going to need a curling iron, bobby pins, clear elastic, hair ties and a texture, spray or hairspray, and maybe like a matte, pomade or um a low shine pomade. If you want to use a high shine pomade that would work just as perfectly as well. So i'm going to take my clips out. I round brushed my bangs forward and i kind of clipped them in with these to set them, so they hold the shape um. Now we're going to just start by curling, our hair. So we're going to part our hair and we're going to start curling it i'll show you how big the curling iron is that i'm using you can use a smaller one. I think it just depends on the length of your hair and the end results. It can be a lot of different ways: the curl pattern. Um it could be a beachy, it can be more voluminous, it can be more textured, but i'm using about an inch and a quarter. Curling iron, so we're just gon na start and we're gon na curl away i'm trying to work through this part as fast as possible. I don't really like to spend too much time doing my hair, because i have a lot of other things to do, and you know, especially when you're getting ready. You have to do your makeup, your nails shower before it all. If you want. I also don't like to keep heat on the hair too long, because that can dry it out and damage it. I have the heat at about 4 15 on this curling iron. I did use a heat protectant protectant in my hair before i started curling it before. I blow dried it, so if you have something like that, i would highly recommend it all right, so we're moving along quickly here, sometimes i like to use a brush to brush out my hair before i curl it. It just creates a softer, curl pattern and we are taking medium, two small sections for the curl or for the curling iron. I always like to see the different colors in my hair when it's wrapped around the barrel, all right, so all of your hair is curled. Let me make sure i have it all curled back there. It all looks good even from the front now you're going to take your brush and we're going to brush through the curls all right. So now you see that the hair is all brushed out. Now we're going to take a teasing, um comb and we're going to take like a horse shoe section up top here and we're going to tease this top part. Put my head down a little bit, so you guys can see a little bit better. I'M going to spray a little texture spray in there i'm using whey, hair products. This is their texturizing spray. Let'S hope you guys can see that this smells really fresh and good, so you almost want like a beehive back here like like they used to do like in the 60s and 70s. I think, and what you're going to do is you're going to kind of we can do this a couple different ways, but i'm going to pull some hair out around my face just to frame it a little bit. Alright, now you're going to take a couple clear, elastics, i have a clear one and a black one, and if you see i have that back there, it's just like a quarter. Half of the top of your hair half would be like a little bit like below the ear and around. This is like just the top. It'S almost like a horse shoe section up top as well and around, and we're going to take that hair and wrap the clear elastic around all right and then we're just gon na pull some hair out up top here, just to create a little bit more roundness Up top and volume and we're gon na take the texture spray again and we're gon na lift the hair and spray. So you kind of want to get underneath. You want to pinch and pull a little bit as you're doing this um just to pull out pieces to kind of, even it all out. If there's a piece, that's in your way like over here you're gon na take a hairpin and just kind of tuck it in there and then we're gon na take the way. Matte pomade and let's see there, it is and you're going to take just a little bit of it. Just like that. Much and we're gon na work it through our hands and i'll show you what this does. It actually is really pretty neat, so we're gon na kind of scrunch the back a little bit and we're gon na get in here. We want we kind of want this look to be more textured and, oh, so cute. You really just want a texture, so you're gon na kind of grab your hair and scrunch. This. In look how big of a difference that made you saw how a little goes a long way with that product. It'S a good product, um and yeah! We'Re just going to kind of work it through wherever we want to see more volume and yeah all right. This is the finished. Look. I love love love. This look. It'S probably one of my favorite hairstyles. I'Ve done yet i'm actually going to add a little bit more texture spray, all right and then i'm wearing this with like um an off the shoulder top. I think it just looks so elegant and almost kind of like bridgette bardot. In a way, i think i'm pronouncing her name correctly, but it's so cute. So yes, thank you so much for watching and um. I also want to talk about the founder of way. I just finished reading her book and um. It was a really good book. She actually is adopted and she moved to los angeles and became a celebrity hair stylist. So she does all of the kardashians and every amazing celebrity out there. She is a very humble, genuine person. I follow her on instagram as well: um she's, a talented hairstylist and she wrote a book which is amazing. The book is really really good. She talks about how she started and how to um pretty much she's a hair stylist. So she started as a hair stylist and she just talks about how she has has talked to a lot of people in her salon. Chair and that's the same thing i do. I don't think people realize it, but we talk to people all day long and we really have to respect the space that they're in while we're doing their hair, because it's really not about us, it's about them and she touched touches base about how it's important to Kind of test the temperature in the room and see how your client is feeling and how and what they want, and it's pretty much really important to just listen um. So she talks about how to just be a better hair, stylist a better listener and how to financially save, and you know how to just blow your way to the top. So i love it. I highly recommend reading her book um so yeah. Thank you very much for watching. I hope you guys have a great day and please share with all of your friends and family. Thank you.
