Hi guys I wanted to do a video just to show you how to do some quick little vintage curls with your Betty bangs or even if you don't have Betty bangs. This is a great way to just have a little retro look, and especially when you're running around you just don't have a ton of time to do that. Pinup hair. So I'm gon na basically take my hair and split it in two to keep it simple. I have really long hair, but the technique I'm using will use four thin hair or shorter hair. As long as you have a little bit of length, so my hair is quite long its to my waist, I'm just gon na take one section and push it aside and I'm gon na spray with a finishing and setting spray by eye on. So I just do a quick little spray throughout just to give it some hold. And if you have hard to hold hair, you can use a setting lotion. So, basically, I'm going to take one inch sections and I'm going to curl them away from me and make like huge ringlets and then I'm gon na clip them because the heat molds the hair. So that's my Hot Tools, one inch curling iron, which I love. I curl it to the end and then I'm a clamp a little bit just to grab those little ends. Sometimes I get in one shot, but this is just how I do it. Lots of people have other ways, but this is what's working for me and, as you can see, I got a nice curl, so I'm just gon na scrunch it up, you can take it with your hands and roll it up, and I have extremely long hair. So this is a great little idea or way of doing things if you do have long hair. So I'm just gon na clip that, with one of those basic hair clips you can get from Sally's I'm going to take another 1 inch section, and I did that all the way around my head on both sides so not to bore you guys, I'm going to Speed up this video a little bit, I basically go all around my head in one-inch sections and I use the clips to just hold the curl and I can roll them half way. I don't go them right up to the top of the head, because I want to loose curl at the bottom and I want that volume at the bottom. So I'm just gon na keep going around and, as you can see, I just scrunch up the curl. I like to make sure it's a nice ringlet though, and then just kind of like even it up make sure it's kind of awful that one's a little loose it's one of my longest pieces. So I'm just gon na like keep going and now we're gon na. Do the other side and do the same thing over again and I'm curling out versus curling in you can experiment and try to curl in and see what you get. But I, like the look of it going out. I wanted to bounce your wave for this look and that's one of my longest sections. So that's gon na be really hard, so I just clamp and roll and then clamp it down a bit and, as you can see, the little end is sticking out. Don'T worry about that, you can roll it up into the curl once it's heated and that usually takes care of it as long as it's not too big of a piece, and once again this is a fast, quick hairstyle. So it's not about doing it perfect. It'S supposed to have a lot of volume. Volume will just keep going. I love the hot tools, curling irons, I find they work really well they're, one of my favorite. This one is a one-inch. If you didn't catch that in the beginning - and I love the look of that curl, you can experiment and use the 3/4 and the 1 and 1/4 I've used both of those and I'll do some videos on that as well. So this is kind of a fun little hairstyle and it's great. If you have shoulder length hair, it looks really great and you can get a lot of volume in the bottom. So we're almost done we're gon na keep going and just keep putting those clips in and as you go, if you feel like you want to respray your hair go ahead, you can spray it lightly and then curl it. If you have hard to hold hair, the setting motions are really great, so the one that I used to use was the ion starch spray, but they've discontinued it. So now I'm on the hunt for a new one and I'll be doing a video on that. Hopefully doing some experiments with some other solutions and don't worry about the curls mean perfectly section like I said this is a fast hairstyle. It'S gon na have a lot of body and volume. It'S not about having a section, perfect curl. So don't stress yourself out - and I didn't like that one, so I'm gon na recur lit, give it another curl and I'm just touching it to make sure it's hot, because when the hair is warm or hot its moldable. So, that's why I roll it up to clip and it holds the curl better and if you can top that with like a finishing spray or a setting lotion, that's what's really going to hold it for a long period of time and we're going to keep going And we're almost done, I'm going all the way around my head, and so I'm just running my hands through it. As I take the clips out, just I'm just keeping the curl, but I'm also gon na blend them in, and you can see how much volume and curl you get, and it's really that clipping the hair with that clip is what's giving it that volume. So now I'm going to do the other side and if they get tangled, don't worry, just kind of clip around keep going, and this actually doesn't take very long at all. If you once you get in the habit of sectioning your hair, it's super simple, especially with long hair, because that's a challenge for a lot of girls to do day to day styles. So I'm just brushing that out running it through with my hands and fixing that, as you can see, our nice big loose curl, which is a gorgeous curl. That gives you lots of volume and looks great with a lot of different outfits. So I'm just gon na add in a little more that finishing spray just to give a little hole and you can play with your ends and tease them a little bit to just kind of join them together and I'm just using a rat tail comb. For that. You can use a little tiny brush and just it just kind of holds the bottom, and you can spray even more if you really want it to hold hard. So I just like a lightly spray. I wan na be able to run my hands through it. So, for me this is great and there you go and you can smooth it down and there's some fast vintage curls

Sofi: Just got Bettie bangs recently and also have very long hair and haven’t found a tutorial as helpful as this one! Thank you so much for this ❤️

Jasmine Perez: We have the same hair length and texture! My hair is sooo heavy! It’s hard to stick to vintage looks cause my hair is really stubborn. I love your quick and easy method!!

Yessenia Pilier: Wow. So beautiful!!!

Sabrina K.: Where is your curling iron from? :-)
