Just when you thought things can get any more casual on my channel here, i am making a video in just a towel. Hey guys! Welcome back to my channel. My name is julianna. I just got out of the shower, and today i'm gon na be walking you through how i use the revlon hairdryer brush. I'Ve had it for like a month now, ever since christmas, i've been using it pretty frequently, and i want to walk you through the process. How i used today to give volume and texture to my hair, because i absolutely love this product, especially because i have curtain bangs, so i'm gon na go dry off my hair a little bit more and i'll, be right back to give you guys a quick tutorial. So tip one scratch that rule one is never use this product on your hair when it's less than like 85 percent dry. I'M so serious about that and i haven't actually experienced any the negative side of this yet myself. But i've seen so many comments, all over tick, tock, all over every kind of hair review, page ever saying that you're going to have extreme breakage using this product if first of all you're, not using a thermal protectant and second of all, you're, not using it on Relatively dry hair, so i made a real conscious effort to let my hair air dry before i ever use this. I really am just someone who, on a regular basis, air dries my hair. I do use a blow dryer, sometimes don't get me wrong, but only if i really want my hair to be straight. My hair responds to heat really well blow drying makes it straight curl stain for a long time. So i think it's one of the reasons this product works so well for me in general, but long story short, i usually just air dry, my hair anyway, so this isn't a big deal for me to wait like an hour or so before i use this product. I have a few different thermal protectants. I use on a regular basis. Today, i'm going to use my redken one. I don't really have a preference being really honest, but i do like this one. I just kind of missed it around liberally. I hope that's right would apply it, but i haven't experienced any severe heat damage recently or any breakage from using this. So i think i'm probably using this well enough. There is one other thing i use and i usually use that after i do my hair and that is this hair oil - it's called her styler. I don't know where i got to be completely honest and i wouldn't necessarily recommend this over any other argan oil. But i do find that this really helps to come any frizz, which is kind of a common complaint using the revlon hairdryer brush on thin hair. I always kind of wanted to get the hairdryer brush and i was really grateful to receive it for christmas, but the amount that i wanted this after i got my hair cut into these curtain. Bangs was exponential because seriously it completely changes the styling process. Styling curtain bangs, is a pain in the ass. Using a straightener every single day is definitely not healthy, so i was very happy to get this and be able to take over styling them that way. So one of my main focuses in this video is going to show you how to get that. Volumized. Look in your curtain, bangs whether you actually have curtain magnetism or you just want the kind of like front pieces of your hair to come away from your face. In that same way, the only other thing i'm going to use in this video is just a bunch of clips. These are the ones that came with my composite straightener. This is a random one for the dollar store. I just used to hold up different layers of my hair as i'm drying um. Everything is really really quick from basically like here up, because i do the bottom layers in just a few passes and then the top is where i kind of have to spend more time, styling it. How i want it to be before i turn on the brush. It makes a bunch of annoying sounds i'm using it. I just want to kind of show you guys the movements i'm using, so some people will like go straight down if they're straightening their hair, which is definitely not the move. If you want to have any kind of style or texture to it, you're going to want to be pulling the brush away from your hair as you do it and kind of like twisting this. At the same time, not too much you don't want to feel an aggressive pull. Also don't leave any kind of tangles in your hair doing this, because you're also going to risk damaging your hair. That way, but, as i said, kind of like away from your head with a little bit of tension, but not straight up pulling it. So i do that on all the bottom layers. It definitely does kind of curve, my hair in like that a little bit and it does give it like a volumized look and the top layers kind of switch it up, and i think once i get to there, i'm going to show you guys exactly what i Mean so here i am starting in i'm, going to probably put some music over this and not make you listen to me drying my hair for 10 minutes. But here we go. Here'S the montage we're doing the bottom layers. Okay, so that's the bottom two layers done as you can see it's mostly straight, and it has at the bottom, like it kind of comes in a little tiny bit. You can definitely use this if you're someone who has my hair type to straighten your hair, even because i just respond to heat that way, so you might as well, but where i really focus on doing something like a little bit different than my regular routine is On top now, lots of people use rollers, give themselves extra volume. Personally, i don't want to get involved with that. I'Ve also even seen videos people are able to curl their hair. Using one of these, i think is so cool i haven't tried yet so i'm not going to try to tell you how to do that right now, but basically what i do on the top is i roll everything down like over and then everything away from me? Like kind of vigorously um and a little bit tighter than i do on those bottom layers, um and then the curtain banks are something i do a little bit different. So i'm going to show you guys how i do the rest of the layer, then i'll. Do the bangs separately and kind of walk you guys through that a little bit slower? It'S definitely not complicated by any means, but it's the most labor intensive part of the whole process. I would say so here we go back to the montage. I don't know what got me down all right. That'S everything except the bangs. I know it's not like super voluminous, but i just don't have a lot of hair to be completely honest like this is a lot of volume for me as compared to when i usually straighten my hair and it's like pin straight um, but i am using my Bangs now, which are kind of like my favorite part, so the trick to doing your bangs, whether it be curtain, bangs or just hair in the front or whatever. If you wanted to have the kind of like side sweeping away from your face. Kind of look is to first roll, your hair and it's gon na sound counterintuitive toward your face. You'Re gon na be going like this with the brush, and then i split it into the two sides and i roll it kind of viciously away. So first i'm gon na roll toward my face and away from my face and then to the sides. Why is i don't know what got me down and, as i mentioned, for the cooling process, i just make sure that my bangs are swept the way i want them to be which they totally are they're pretty cool. Now i just gave it a quick brush out, and that brings us on to our last step. I just take one pump of this argan oil into my hand. It'S really not that much all in all, it's just like a tiny little squirt, and then i put that into the bottom of my hair, um kind of by pulling it over to both sides, massaging it through the ends. I just find this helps to tame its frizziness. It doesn't get super frizzy, but i know it can get a little bit, which is definitely not uncommon when you do this to your hair, but i think this just looks so nice. If you've got curtain bangs, you can comment and support me in the comments by saying that you cannot not style them, it's not an option, so this has been a major lifesaver in doing that quickly, but yeah, that's everything. I hope you guys like this video. If you want me to try to do other things with a hair, dryer brush definitely know, i am open to trying the curling method. I just haven't done it yet, and i do want to show you guys this video and then do it wrong. But honestly, i love it if you're, hesitant or buying one go ahead. I think it comes in a bunch of different colors mine's teal, it's my personal favorite. I think it comes in like black and maybe pink as well, which is really cool, but anyway you guys.
