#hair #tips #blonde

Hi everyone welcome back to my channel today's video we're going to be doing a little hair transformation. I'M going to show you how you can lift and tone your hair in one step still wanted to stick to my kind of more sandy kind of brown roots. I kind of wanted to refresh my blonde, and so i'm going to be doing that with wella's color charm, liquid permanent toners. If you've been following me since the beginning, the first ever toning, video that i posted on my channel was a featuring these toners and the mixture of the colors that i used in that video was a mixture of t11 in t18 and at the time i went To sally's and and got two colors that i thought would complement each other, but would also be universally flattering on anyone that was like trying to tone blonde at home. And since then, i always hear of those two shades of being sold out and people always using them together. I'M not gon na take full credit, but like 95 credit, because i had never ever seen. Anyone even mix these toners or like mix two different colors and yeah. I'Ve definitely talked about them on my channel through the years, but it had been a while, since i actually toned my hair on camera, so i'm super flattered to be working in collaboration with wella color charm to bring you today's video. So it's super easy. I'M going to walk you through the steps what i mix it with and what colors i'll be using today. So today, i'm going to be using a mixture of the t18 and a mixture of the t27. So now that my hair is a little bit darker than the last time that i toned my hair with these toners definitely want the cool ash tones from the t18. But i still want to balance it with a little bit more of the sandy tones of the t27, so these two used together are going to make a beautiful shade, so they have a super beautiful great range of colors to really suit any toning needs. Now i do want to just quickly explain what a liquid permanent toner is. That means that it has lift. So not only is it going to deposit color and tone into the hair, it is also lifting the easiest way and the perfect candidate for these toners is someone that does like a bleach all over and just wants a really bright blonde. Look then you can apply these toners over that blonde you're, going to get at least another level of lift, plus all the tonal benefits from the pigments. So if you have a highlight or a balayage or you have a darker contrasting color, then you have to go in with a little bit more technique, which is what i'm going to be showing you today. So what i'm going to be doing is applying just directly over the pieces that are already blonde and that i want to enhance brighten up and tone now, if you're pretty blonde, and you have a slight root using these toners is going to give you lift at The root it's not going to tone brown hair as well as it's going to tone the blonde. So today's video i'm just going to be applying it directly over my existing blonde pieces to really brighten up my overall look all right guys enough introduction, let's just get into the video all right, let's get started, my poor hair has been kind of just neglected. It looks kind of stringy, the color looks dull flat, so we're going to change that today. So i'm going to be toning, my hair, using the wella color charm toners, i'm going to be mixing it with wella color charms, a 20 volume developer. So that's not only going to add pigmentation and add tone to the hair, but it's also going to lift it a little bit, which is the beauty of these willa color charm, liquid toners. So since i've gotten a little bit darker a couple months ago, um the formulation that i'm going to be using and the colors i'm going to be using today are a mixture of the t18 and the t27. As you can see here, the t27 is a little bit more like sandy beigey, and the t18 is going to offer more of those cool ashier tones to minimize any overly warm tone areas in the hair. Now the directions say to mix a one to two ratio, so that means one part: will a color charm and two parts of the 20 volume in developer. I have in the past mixed it with a 10 volume developer instead and i've done that when i want more deposit and less lift so lift think of how bright you want it and say if you have really intense warm pigments and what you're wanting is more Of those ash tones deposited into the hair, then the lower you kind of want to go on the developer. Now that is not what the box recommends as the instructions state, so they have a great range and a variety of tones and colors that are right. For you, i personally love it to mix two shades together. I just feel like i get more personalization that way, a very beautiful kind of more neutralized kind of result, all right, so my bowl has the measurement kind of increments in here. So i'm going to be doing a quarter ounce of the t27, a quarter ounce of the t18, so in total of color right now i have a half ounce. So that means that for the developer i need two parts. So i'm going to do one full ounce of the 20 volume developer, so i'm going to go ahead and mix that thoroughly and start applying to the hair. So, since any permanent liquid toner, that is mixed with 20 volume and ends going to have lift, you have to be careful where you apply the toner. If you have some brown pieces showing in your hair now, if you're all more solidly blonde, you can apply this all over. So i'm going to start applying to my brightest blonde areas. First, so this area here and then the face framing kind of money pieces and then, if there's a piece that stands out to me as okay, this is much blonder. I will go ahead and apply toner to that area. All right, so i'm going to start in the back and work my way forward. So all right! So once that side is done, i'm going to move on to the next side and do the exact same thing all right. Now that i am fully saturated i'm going to let this process between 20 and 30 minutes, obviously the longer you leave it on the more it will lift and the more it will deposit those tones. I'M gon na do 20 minutes. So it's been about five minutes. I'Ll shampoo, this out in about 15 minutes and then i'll be back to show you. The final results all right guys and here is the final result. As you can see, a super super easy way to really refresh your blonde balayage or highlights in one easy step. So, if you're looking to give a little bit of life to your hair and kind of spruce it up, maybe for the holidays, but don't want necessarily a different look. This is a great way to do that, so go ahead and check out their range of shades. So you can pick out the most personalized color, for you and again, like i said, don't be afraid to kind of mix them together. I always think using a straight ash sometimes can almost make the hair look a little bit matte to kind of flat. So adding two kind of contrasting shades just really balances out the tones, give you that really beautiful, like beigey buttery blonde all right! Thank you for joining me as i touch up my hair, one of my favorite things to do. Teague Vivolo: I know you're known for your blonding videos, but you should do a tutorial on getting your curls/waves to look like this. It's so pretty.

Arnulfo Nieto: It's amazing seeing this video after watching your first T18 and T11 mixture toning video. I remember watching it when I was first learning how to bleach and tone my own hair. I've successfully gone from level 4 brown to platinum and silver thanks to you! I personally want to say thank you for your videos and I hope you, Adam and baby are doing well! ❤️

Serena Evans: I have to thank you for the perfect timing of your video on this subject. I touched up my highlight/roots yesterday but did not have time to tone (which was going to be a first for me as a DIY). I had the T27 toner and was still a little foggy as to the details of what toner does. You came in right on time to teach me what i needed to know before doing this. I truly appreciate your guidance and eloquent explanations. You are a valuable contributor to your profession.

Jenae X: I tried this method with the t18 and t27 mixture for my balayage and love it!! This was my first time trying to tone my hair at home and it turned out perfectly blended! I don’t think it lightened any pieces, but just took the brassiness out of my blonde pieces. I’ve already gotten so many compliments☺️

Livingthe_Sassylife: YOUR HAIR IS ALWAYS HAIR GOALS!! literally can rock any colour

Jeannette Antry: You always give the best advice and show your actual work and how it looks on you. I did my hair today with three shades of the Color Charm. I needed to leave it on a little longer, but none the less. it gave me a great lift. Understanding how to tone blond hair has been my biggest challenge. I have tried a lot of other toners too. But this toner seems to work the best. I finally got a great hairdresser who works from her home. I am aging and my hair is graying. I am not going to give up on my blond color, but understanding how to get the beige or brass out of it, will help me look more appropriate and put together for my age. Thanks for all the great information you have given over these years. You have no idea how much it helps.

Tricia Athey: I really love this toner color combo!! I always have trouble finding a good neutral tone that's not too warm or cold. I'm definitely going to try this out.

Mandy Arcitio: This was great! I'm a natural blonde and looking for something to brighten my hair up without using bleach. I found your high lift video the other day but still debating how I want to proceed. It's been so long since I've colored or bleached my hair and I don't want to be all over platinum like I once was. Also, having gone to cosmetology school almost 15yrs ago and stopped working in the field 10yrs ago, I've lost some of the knowledge. If you have any videos that I can watch, I'd love the recommendation! thank you for sharing!

sandy949: I’m doing this before the holidays to refresh my blonde pieces from balayage. Thank you so much! Hope you had a nice Thanksgiving!

Kirsty Macfarlane: Gorgeous Silvia My last visit I went for a pink toner just for fun and a change. I used my pink shampoo to keep it fresh for a couple of weeks. The last time I washed it I used my cleansing shampoo and deep conditioner, it's come out the most gorgeous iridescent pearl shade. I love having fun with toners, especially someone who is a level 3-4 naturally, really enjoying being a blonde. I've got a great hairdresser who never takes offence if I send him one of your videos for tips and I can tell him to do what he wants! Great when you have that kind of trust xxx

Pixievette: What a lovely shade/ tone . I will try this combination for winter holidays. ❤️ You look as beautiful as when I watched your first toning videos.

sam12333333: I learned this technique years ago and still due it till this day!!! Thank you so much , you saved my hair

Kielly Christine: I was literally just thinking of how I need to tone my hair up and you read my mind! Love ya girl

Kelly O'Brien: Is liquid toner and 20 vol less damaging (or at all damaging) compared to doing lightener (bleach) and 20 vol?

alexandria mangano: I always come back to wella permanent toner! I venture out, even trying shades eq, and I always like my results with these better

amber addison: This is totally a sign i need to do my hair

Mike and Mom: Great video, thanks! Your videos have helped me keep my blonde hair beautifully toned over the past 10 years! Btw, isn’t your baby due any day now??

A Goldsmith: Thank you, thank you for making videos like these!!!

E: Your hair is off the charts beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing!

EnglishPlan: Great thorough explanation. Thanks for this wonderful video. Greetings to your beautiful family❤️

Nita Andrews: Hey girl thank you for sharing! I remember that 1st video too. What color are you using on your roots? Happy Holidays!!!

s mmg: I LOOOOOOVE these type of videos!!!! And I don't even dye my hair!!!!! Thank you!!!

Mrs🦋Blake: I’m learning how to keep up with my hair thank you your the best

Jennifer Vazquez: How often do you tone with wella, and are there any steps you take to prep hair?

Shiloh Zache: Hi, I love your video! They don’t sell Color Charm in Germany. Is there any comparable product you would recommend? I also cut my hair this week, so that my remaining ends are darker than before. Can I still use the technique and products? I’d love to try it this week!

Crystal Neel: Thanks for sharing And looking forward to your new baby video! So my hair issue since going with an ombré affect is that I can not update baby lights & do a root tap in the same day without the root color over toning the fresh baby lights like I never did them. So I guess I’ll have to alternate processes?

Sara M: Thank you for this video, as this is exactly what I need to do to my hair!! I don’t have access to the wella toners in my country and the toners I have found (Schwartzkopf) suggest mixing with 7vol developer. Can I use a higher volume (20) to achieve the same result you had or I should not use something higher than the box suggests?

darlyn rodriguez: What difference does it make if you tone your hair wet or dry? I always thought it was suppose to be wet

Eliza Amadeo: I love it, thank you so much. I have a question: how often can we do it? Every three months maybe? I’m talking about someone with fragile hair…

sarooshka25: Gorgeous as always

Jasmin: For those of us needing the 10 volume developer.. what brand would you recommend to use with the Wella toners???♡

Sheba Makeup: Hello. Firstly love your videos. I would love to use the Wella colour charm but I don't know if you could tell me where in UK can you get that or is there an alternative from the Wella range because I can't seem to find any reliable stockists of T18 anywhere in UK. Although there are many other Wella products available just not the colour charm.

Déborah Perez: Your videos are so helpful!

Naturegirlseed: Wella toners really dry out my hair but I love them. I have the olaplex 0 3 and 8. Do you think it would be more beneficial for my hair to do an olaplex treatment before toning or after? Thanks

Jane: Your result is amazing, beautiful colour.

KELLI B: Thanks for this, I have been waiting. I have my hair highlighted and the colour is off, will a toner help? Or will the base of my hair always pull through. I think the hairdresser did not lighten my hair to the right shade before depositing the toner? I use purple shampoo, that helps a bit but it is not like I am used to having my hair done.

Xo Healthy: I am NOT KIDDING when I say this but: IF I have TRIPLE the amount of hair (volume. Still each strand is thin but I have A LOT) of hair , it currently sits at my collar bone. I’ve gone in an over all with Blonde Solutions Once already and it’s at a brassy level 8 and over areas I’ve applied a second time so they are now white, how many wella boxes should I use?

Jacquelyn Marie: I like this for the ends. I just followed your balayage how yo video using Ion. I did 7nn on virgin hair rather than 6nn you used and I really pulled a lot of red. How do I tone that down a bit. The ends turned out perfect. I like it but would love it if I pulled less red at the root. 7nn is not red in tone. It was surprising!

* Starlight *: Can anyone explain what will happen if the toner touches the natural darker pieces of hair? I have dark blonde/light brown hair naturally, as I've got older and have highlights it seems to lift to more of a 'orange' shade, so I'm not sure if I have a red hue to my hair naturally. Also will this effect my hair if I choose to highlight it after a couple of months, will the bleach handle it ok?

KT: Love this method! I have grey roots so I’ll just do my base first then this method rather than baby lights. I like more contrast anyway. Thx

Kati Munroe: What if I have really small highlights and there's no way of not getting it on my lighter brown pieces? Will it lift those to an orange color?

billijo smith: What would happen if you applied this on naturally darker parts of hair?

Lisa Sawyer: Hi Silvia, I love your lipstick you are wearing in the start of your video only just been searching for that colour. Could you tell me the name of it, I looked back on your videos and saw you use baby doll NYX but it looks kinda creamy so wasn't sure if it's the same one.

Dei Lugo: Hey Silvia its been a awhile since I've seen your videos. I think your announcement of pregnancy vid was my last. However I must say, I've never seen you with color polish before. That hunter green color looks fabulous on you. Thanks for another great video. Hope you and baby are doing well!!! You look so stunning

Cecilia Clark: Can I use them to touch up my roots for my highlights?

مصطفى الحشداوي: Temporary dye with a spray gun, how long does it last on hair?

Evelyn M: Just what I need today!

cheryl durant: Great video thank you

Alexandra: BEAUTIFUL❤️❤️❤️

Sugar Cookies: I wish I had found your channel sooner my hair has been through hell and back trying to achieve these results..I have since gone back to my brunette roots..

kittenlittle2009: I really like you with darker hair. It fits your skin tone nicer.

Pakounda: Does anyone know if hair looks thicker when it's the same length or when it has light layers?

Rosie Rodriguez: You look beautiful my hair is bleach almost 2 years and is Almost silver white, but I still see like yellow high light, what can you recommend about this,I use purple shampoo, but still, thank you

susana sophia: What would i mix t18 with to get a cooler blonde than adding the t27...i worry adding t27 will make too warm.

Patrice Miller: Can you save the toners? If so, how long?

Kimberly Leah: WOW whaaaaaat!!!! AMAZING!!!

S. Warren: Been watching (blonde) and using this method since 2018!

savvy lynn: Would love advice/video on brightening blondes below the root where it doesn't brighten the greys?? :( ;)

Aundrea: Can you tell me where you got this instrumental version of seasons of love from rent?. I Love it!

Jenae X: Has anyone tried this toning method yet??

88nyska: Hello :) Will this product cool down the natural color of the hair?

Patricija dolen: Congratulation for your youtube Channel your video are awesomeeee I have a funny request, is it possible that you realize a new video on YouTube where you make a funny hairstyle on a boy hair ( mohawk or spike ? ) With gel! It will be very cool! Thank you So much!

Connie Schafhauser: What do you suggest for brunette hair with caramel highlights that are turning brassy? Thanks!!

catitude4: I'm that person who has medium reddish brown hair who wants a sandy blonde color. It takes a two step process to do this, no one step will work. All that color has to come out, no other way to do it. Then the color I want has to be put in. Can you do a video on this? My hairdresser is closing shop and I can't get it anymore.

callmekells: Can you use those on virgin hair?

Marie McDonald: Very good content

Patricia Rodriguez: Thank you!

Andrea Bevan: I use T18 on my pre-lightened level 10 roots and get a gorgeous platinum icy & SHINY result. I've tried ION brilliance and Wella koleston and got gray ashy results. Why is it impossible to get wella colorcharm in Europe? I have to order from Sallys and have my mom ship it over to me.

Grace Ahern: Will a toner lighten my shaded roots I only had it done 5 weeks ago so just wondering could I save 150 euro on a trip to the salon , I have mostly blond with brown underneath thanks x

Tania Samra: How about the roots what colors to use

Jennifer Stacey: So why does Wellanot cover my grey regrowth? It looks like a lighter color no matyer how long they leave it on

Imelda Altamirano: What hair color base do you use. What brand please,?

Julie: Why are toner shades mixed? Just asking because I would like to ash down my golden's (level 8) without making my whiter level 9 going grey.

Heather T: I did t11 & t18 yesterday and NOTHING happened

Joy: Do these colors cover gray?

Ily •: Why is this product not available in the eu

In Hu: How about europe? Where can I buy it

Victoria Ark: Is there a similar method for brunettes?

Suleman king Ajmal:

Santi Martos: Thank you

Butter Fly-Girl: Whoop

Christine Dunn: fellow cosmetologist here......just wondering why you dont use demi permanent toners

Margaret Robertson: Great x

Ilona: Can I add Olaplex?

Alexa Loukas: Im in europe im not sure i cant find this is there a different company u know of or other codes
