Hey, everyone! Long time no see! So happy to be back! Keep your eyes peeled and make sure to subscribe, more videos are coming soon ;)

Today I'm going to be showing you how to cut curtain bangs! I have been obsessed with these lately. They're a little different from traditional bangs in the way you wear and style them. Typically these are worn parted down the middle, and they feather down the sides of your face. Framing your face and adding shape! They look gorgeous when you wear you hair up or down. Let me know if you need any extra help outside the video on how to wear and cut these! Love you all!

**For those of you wondering, I don't use any products specified towards thick hair. I try and maintain a healthy diet, which I think plays a part into healthy hair. But I don't use anything to make it thick.

Hey everybody, so I have been obsessed with curtain bangs lately so today, I'm going to show you how to get them. So, first just start off by blow-drying your bangs forward, smooth them out. It'S gon na make it so much easier when we cut our bangs. If we have a clean canvas to work with, then we're going to clean up our middle part to make sure we have clean sections and then we're going to start by sectioning off our bangs. So they're, just you section these as you would typical bangs. You just want that triangle parting and, if you want to, I would start off with them a little bit thinner, but then thicker just to make sure that they're what you want, you can always go back and add more hair, so we're gon na start. With this parting, I'm going to be using thinning, slash, texturizing shears, to cut my bangs, but you can use regular shears to cut them. I just like the softer edge. It gives my bangs using the texturizing shears. Then take your comb, placing your hair between your fingers and we're gon na comb. It the opposite direction that we're going to be wearing it. As you can see, I'm just taking it back over to see about how much I want to cut off and then we're gon na be creating an angle. So the top is gon na be shorter than the bottom, which will be longer so we're gon na. Take. I'M gon na take my shears and I'm gon na start cutting about how much I want off starting less just to make sure that we can go back, tweak them and adjust them. But you don't want to go off cutting too much to start, because you can always take more off but as you can see, I'm just creating this nice angle. So the top is going to be shorter than the bottom so that when it lays we have a nice tapered effect, so we're just I'm keeping them at a low angle. I don't want to take them too high to create too many layers or create too much elevation, but, as you can see, I'm just taking little by little and again, you can use regular shears to cut these, but I just like the softer effect it gives my Hair when it lays so as you can see when I release it, it's got that nice angle, so it's shorter by my eye and eyebrow and longer as it goes down, so it blends really well with the rest of my hair. So those were still just a little bit too long for what I liked, so I'm again at combing them the opposite direction, it's kind of parallel with my part and then I'm just gon na tweak and trim just a little bit more off of the ends. So if you are using regular sheers, what you want to be doing is cutting into the hair. So, as you see I'm doing with my texturizing shears, I'm cutting into the hair not just going out a blunt angle. It'S just gon na soften them and you're gon na have a lot of control with how much you're taking off of them so just cut into the hair, like I'm doing here, except you're gon na be taking more hair off with your regular shears. If you're not using thinning shears and then once I release them, you can see that great angle. We have so now, because my bangs are parted in the middle. I'M going to take a small piece from the side I just cut on the shortest part, and I'm going to add that over to the other side, so that's going to be our guide, so that short piece is where we're going to create the shortest piece on This side, starting our angle and then cutting down so it slowly starts to get a bit longer. So I'm just gon na start trimming away those, and if your hair is long and you didn't have bangs to start you're gon na, do this the exact same way, except just make sure you know where you want them to lay and just start slow. You can always cut more hair off then I'm just checking and measuring to see if they're, equal and even on both sides. So this side was a little bit longer. So I'm just tweaking and trimming a little bit off. If that long end piece and then I'm checking the middle to see if they're, equal and the left side was a little bit longer, as you can see so, I'm just gon na re trim and tweak those and get them even and they're about the same length And now so once they're about the same length and they're if they feel pretty equal and even I'm gon na comb them all forward and all together and then I'm gon na just check them and see if there are any stray pieces, any pieces that I need To trim and just clean up so on the left side, the the left side was still just a little bit longer when I put them all together. So I'm just cleaning that up and there we go. That'S them finished, I'm just taking my hair down. So you can see how they all blend really well together, and I just love them they're, just effortless. They are a bit of maintenance having to style and dry them, but bangs always are and they're worth it they're a lot of fun. So I'm just going to flat iron and style them, so I clipped half of them up and out of the way and I'm just starting with the bottom section. First, just giving it a curl under so it has some shape and then doing the same on the sides just like so and then that's it. My favorite way to wear these is with my hair pulled back. I always got so many compliments on them. So make sure to subscribe, look out for more videos on the horizon that are coming and check out some old ones. So I'll see you guys later bye,

Hennae Maenaen: NEVER dye your hair! Your natural hair colour is so beautiful ugh!

j: Me 5 min ago: laughing at memes abt girls cutting bangs during quarantine Me now:

Cynthia: 5th day of being quarantined and im already dying of boredom so im cutting my hair... hope i don’t regret this

Kristine Starks: I love that this look is back in style again. Back in the 70's we called this 'feathering'. So we had 'feathered bangs'. :) Cute cute cute!!

Kreri: If only my hair looked like this, just stunning. I cut curtain bangs once and I looked like an electroluted mushroom.

lab rat: I wanted bangs like this (but longer) and my hairdresser basically just cut them completely blunt... thanks so much, you helped me fix my bangs!

Lili: I feel a bad decision coming

Jodie: I’ve never had the confidence to cut my own bangs before but you inspired me to give it a go. I love them. Thank you

baked beans: This is my second time cutting my hair, and though I still didn't go full bang this time, I used this tutorial to do some sort of framing and I'm so glad I did!! Very cute haircut.

dasi: Omg I didn’t think bangs could look this good

Honey blossom: here’s a tip: Cut like how she said but always make sure that when you first start cutting the length is slightly below your chin. You can always cut more, no need to be Edward scissor hands

Mayara Vieira: Sempre quis cortar minha franja assim! Ficou perfeito amei

Lanna Campanelli: This was the perfect tutorial! Simple and easy to follow, but enough direction to follow it easily! My bangs needed a major trim and they look amazing!!

Starsbyclaudiaking: Thanks, you saved my hair just now after I did a spontaneous home bangs cut it’s so easy to do it how you explain it! Worked so well thx

Claire Loritz: Thanks for all these little tricks! I’ve been cutting my own bangs for over two years, and my favorite phase was when they kinda grew into curtain bangs naturally. This worked great, now I’m just gonna do it this way all the time!

Sofía Waldren: Hi, thanks so much for uploading this video because it was incredibly helpful. Myself and my boyfriend (more my boyfriend - although I had to sign a waiver that if it does go wrong it is not his fault and cannot be blamed haha) just braved it and we (he) managed to do a very good job. I love it. So thanks again. Now if you're reading this comment and you're unsure of whether to brave the cut, go for it, but just do it super slowly and keep checking and rechecking the measurement and whether it is cut at an angle. Good luck and thanks <3

len osorio: Thank you for this! I followed you instructions and mines look good. Cutting hair little by little is the key. Went to the salon with a screenshot and the lady did a terrible job so i ended up fixing it myself. I should've saved those 65 bucks and tip myself.

Susan Corcoran: I just did mine using your video and I'm thrilled with results!! Thank you so much

Melody: Yes! There is a 70's vibe, my era, and I used to wear my hair just like that! Totally love it, and you're just gorgeous..love it that this generation is keeping that look alive! It's fabulous!

Elizabeth Hoover: It worked! I was terrified to do it on my own but I actually have good looking curtain bangs.Thank you!!

Andrea C.I.C.: It's the 1st time (in my 31 years) that I cut my bangs, and it worked! beautifully! THANK YOU for this technique

V M: Just tried and it worked so well! It looks so cute when my hair's up! I did like half the hair you did though because I have a different hairline, and I LOVE IT! Thank you! <3

monkiecher: Love this tutorial! Thank you! Did a more subtle and longer version and I'm so happy with how it turned it! Will wait till pandemic is in better control to cut my bangs shorter ... just don't want to touch my face so much with COVID-19 out there!

Stephanie Lanning: I did this today and it looks good! Thanks for the tips! I almost gave up, but after a blow dry they looked

Emely cava: I just finished cutting then right now! Omggg, they came out so cute, I will say one side is a little longer but its food enough for me, and if I need to I can always just cut it a little bit more! Didn't cut them so short though, I was to scared I can still put them behind my ear (but having them stay is another thing) Thank you so much for this, you are so gorgeous!

Ayinda: I just cut my bangs like u did and I’m so happy with how they look thank u

Nika: I just followed your tutorial and i’m obsessed with my bangs!!! Thank you soooo much

Alexa F.: Yesss, this is what I need. I loved when my bangs were growing out, but they're too long now. Might attems to cut them using your tutorial! Thank you!

Gabi: Fantastic tutorial. I’m a hairdresser and actually found this to be incredibly helpful. I just watched another tutorial on this which was horrible! Thank you for this. I’m so tempted to cut mine. They look so so so cute on you!

Daljit Kaur: I love curtain bangs and can never quite get them perfect like this ! Well done !

Derrick Jennifer Watkins: Fantastic job! They look beautiful and you make it look so easy!

ruzaini razak: Thank you!! I also used the technique to give myself a V shaped hair cut and it worked beautifully. Thanks!

Sarah Moors: I love this tutorial! I have a question...I just cut mine and they are textured and fluffy. I know you mentioned this in the video, but how am I supposed to avoid this? I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong!

Sushi Cue: Will this type of cut allow you to sweep them to either your right or your left side or is it basically a dedicated center part style? I am trying to move my bang part around but wondered what cut is needed for that versatility. Your videos are so precise, easy to follow and informative! Thanks!!

Shz Umz: Your bangs look so gorgeous on you! This video is inspiring me to cut my own bangs because this is the look I wanted from the hairdresser, only a bit longer. But she just sheared the scissors down the sides and it looked okay at the time because my hair was straightened. And I didn’t get the look I wanted from her, even after I showed her pics, why do we never get the exact look? :/ Now however I‘ll try cutting on my own following your method. Thank you so much for the instructional video! I will let you know how it goes :)

Liza Lindvik: It looks so easy and results are awesome Thank you ❤️

𝙹𝚎𝚘𝚗𝚊𝚜𝚝𝚑𝚎𝚝𝚒𝚌.: Omg I never thought curtain bangs could look so PERFECTTT

bhollantu: In the 70's, we called these "wings"! What's old is new again!

wondering child 1: Brigitte Bardot!! I have watched sooo many bang tutorials, and YOURS is the BEST! It looks like her photo where she's holding a camera. Its easy to find the pic on google. Her side pieces are slightly longer at the very ends I reckon i can achieve this by going very slightly further back when i triangle the section. Thanks for the vid. Blessings!

Kenth Shiratsuchi: This is helpful, I did mine and it's perfect!

Unorthodoll: I just followed this tutorial live on my channel and it was so easy to follow, I love my new curtain bangs! Subbing!❤️

Nekaty: OMG this is the BEST video about cutting bangs I've seen so far! I'm in LOVE! And you're such a beauty by the way and your hair color is so unique wow

Yase 52: The best video to cut your bangs! I love it Thank you sooo much. Sooo beautiful

leanna sanchez: Very cool! Your bangs came out great! I also love my bangs but will be trying this curtain style

Neha N D: Lovely !! Thanks for this video ❤ Just what I wanted

Stephanie R.: Omggg they came out gorgeous lol it's so tempting. I'm so upset I didn't completely finished watching this video the first time around to truly grasp how to do so... I had my middle parting as thick naturally, and I thought it would've been fine if I just entirely made them into bangs. Was bangs for sure, and then the side sector of my hair (which isn't what someone would want; they'd want side supportive hair to look more fuller along with their bangs).

lualuana ferreira: Funciona muito bem amei

Birdy Tayshus: This is by far the easiest curtain bangs method I've watched. I've seen around 8. Beautiful young lady with gorgeous hair. Nice easy to follow tutorial. Thank you from down under!

Edith S.: Thank you so much! I was nervous but they turned out amazing and my wavy hair gives it boho beach vibes <3 <3

N L: Omg the easiest and the most straight forward tutorial ever.. oh gosh I wish I can rock those red lipstick because I you look very neat and very beautiful! Thank you for sharing! I’ll try this

Shimmering Chimps: Awesome step-by-step tutorial! Thanks so much for posting this!

Sarah: I followed FIVE tutorials because I really wanted curtain bangs and the hairdresser's been closed for months now, so I followed Brad Mondo's tutorial first and it was alright then I continued to cut at it and it went so horribly wrong. I'm so glad I watched this before I made any more bad mistakes. It looks good now :)

Chen Aviv: I did it. One tip to all the ppl out there thinking: this is too much. I get you. Start off slow.. don’t do it too short, it does not have to be full on bangs off the start.. if you did it longer and after a few days want it shorter, so it be. Don’t make your attachment to your hair stop you from trying new things, and by it moving forward:)

Lola Gucci: What a talent, I love it!! ✨

TheLittleSidekick: Thank you so much for uploading this tutorial. I cut my bangs today following your instructions and it turned out great.

Ale Valle: We've got the same face shape so this video gave the security to do it, because you look gorgeous. Thank you <3

lils: I watched this 1 time and immediately grabbed a pair of scissors to trim my bangs. They turned out AWESOME!! Thank you for sharing your technique!!

keyla tavares: I love how the curtain bangs look. I am thinking of cutting my bangs this style but I am not really into a middle part for my face. Can I do curtain bangs but instead of parting it directly in the middle I part it a little bit to the side?

Narg Ali: This is a great tutorial, thank you very much! X

naz khan: The colour of your hair is so stunning, it suits your skin tone perfectly!

Gabriela Mayorga-Kintanar: Wow! These curtain bangs look like they can make an updo look really pretty.

butterycrispy: Oh fuck no, all of last year I wanted to get bangs like that! Never went to a hairstylist cause I was nervous that they would fuck it up. So i watched like a thousand YouTube videos but none of them had the type of bangs that I wanted. So now I got over that phase of REALLY wanting bangs. BUT I ran into your video giiiirrrrrl you’re making me wanna cut bangs again!! Update: I cut them today.... they are amazing!!! Thank god for the video

Nickolette S: These are SO CUTE. Getting them done tomorrow cause I don’t trust myself with scissors hahaha

Bella Rxo: Oh my! You are SO pretty and your hair and color is so beautiful! Thanks for the tutorial girl! ❤

Carla Bruggemans: Good to have you back! We missed you! Your hair is so perfect, and the bangs look amazing!

Paige Smith: You honestly have my dream hair, the length, fringe and colour is perfect!!!

Maria Liv: If you wanna cut your bangs PLEASE READ THIS. I cut mine last night and here's what I learned: It won't look as good as it looks in her The craft scissors isn't the best idea If you don't have a forhead big enough it probably won't look good Don't keep your hair in a ponytail the whole time you need to see how it looks with your hair down Please go to a hair salon It won't be as easy to cut bangs as she makes it look If you don't wanna style them every day it's best to avoid them I don't regret doing it just because I cared mostly about doing it rather than the final look, some pieces are too short, in general it's too uneven and I need to style them in order to look presentable Remember, bangs grow out really quickly so even if you regret it, it won't last long ;) Good luck!

Elissa Olivera: Amazing tutorial i finally cut my bangs the way i want them!!

Sam Hasanpour: I just followed your tutorial. Thank you so muchhhhhh. It worked perfectly

marioma afsa: I did it now and it looks pretty good ❤❤
