**For those of you wondering, I don't use any products specified towards thick hair. I try and maintain a healthy diet, which I think plays a part into healthy hair. But I don't use anything to make it thick.

You guys today, I'm going to show you how to cut full across bangs, and I like my kind of angled on the end. So if you want to know how to do that, just keep watching. So I just cut some side swept bangs. So if you don't want to take the plunge in full across bangs - and you want to just do - maybe some side swept bangs. I will have that video link down below where you can go and learn how to do that. They'Re super super easy, but if you want to cut full across bangs, I already kind of have my hair sectioned off. So you may want to go into the side. Swing, video just to watch how to section it off, because I'm not really going to be showing you how to do that here. I'Ll show you how it's parted, but if you kind of want to see and hear more of an explanation, you can hop over to that video and check it. I want to start by clipping up my hair just because the bangs already kind of section out and I need the rest of it alright, so I have my bangs section out, as you can see just a simple kind of triangle: parting. I don't want I'm not cutting my bangs super super, thick or kind of thin or wispy kind of just a good medium. So if you want thicker, take a thicker section, a thicker like pie, shape or if you want a wispy or just take a smaller pie, shape super simple and easy. So all you're, really going to need for to cut bangs is make sure to have some really sharp shears, I'm using these from Conair and they're about like 14 15 dollars. You just want to make sure they're sharp sharp. So you don't damage your hair. When you cut your bangs, if you use lunch ears and then it's just not going to look so great idea, we're going to salon and have professional shears. But I forgot to bring those home with me. But you don't need those anyway, because you can do it with these. Now, if you are not confident enough to do this yourself, then I would recommend go see a hairdresser. That'S what we're here for is to do this for you, but if you want to do it yourself and are confident enough, then I'm going to show you how, in this video, so we're gon na jump right. So we're going to be starting with the twist cut method and then tweak the bangs from there, because the twist cut method is super simple, but you just want to make sure you twist them right. It'S not just taking the hair and twisting it like this, because I don't know what you're going to turn out with it may work it may not. There is a little bit of a technique to with doing the twist cut method, so you want to comb your bangs, nice and straight have them all kind of in the middle and they're straight and my fingers as you can see, I'm holding them I'm going to Come a little closer for you guys, alright, so you want to start off by holding them in the hand that you used to cut your hair, because when we twist them we're going to be taking them over to the other hand, and if you do with your, If you do it with your non-dominant hand, first into your cutting hands, you're not gon na be able to cut them so you're just going to start over. So hopefully that makes sense so start them out in your cutting hand, you're going to twist them just like this. So now, they're straight and my fingers are pointing towards my face then you're going to take your other hand, your two fingers you're going to take it right on top and keep it straight you're going to let go and complete the twist. So now we have one twist just like that: it's really easy once you get it down, so the reason we're doing this is because then, when we release them, they're going to kind of go an angle nicely around the face, but I'm going to keep them a Little longer so I can play and kind of cut the ends a little shorter. If I need to because I don't want to cut it too short, so I'm going to take the hair just comb it into my hands. Take my fingers keep them down, don't elevate them up, because when you do this, they are going to have a little bit of layer in the end, and I'm not really going for that. Look so just kind of keep them straight down with your face. Alright, I'm going to put it in my cutting hand twist them towards my face, then I'm going to take my other hand straight on top. Just like that, and then finish the twist just like so and you can see it's kind of twisted and it's all nice and smooth alright. So I'm going to start off with it at this length, which is kind of on the bridge of my nose. I'M going to take my shears and I'm going to be point cutting into them. That just means you're kind of cutting up into them instead of going straight across just because I want to soft your feathered edge. So I always start off longer because I don't want to cut too much now. I'M gon na have to bring them away from my face, but the fingers are not moving their place just so. I can actually see what I'm doing so. We'Re going to cut into the hair go a little cross-eyed in the process, but that's okay, all right! I'M going to let him go and let's see what we have got going. Alright, my hair is a little wonky and obviously they're too long, but that's okay. I'M already liking the direction they're going and if you could kind of stop here, if you wanted shorter side, bangs just kind of style them, I love bangs they're, so cute, I'm going to do the twist cut method again, just because they're still really far too long. So but I like to do it that way, because I don't want to cut them too short you they're, getting there. I think from here, I'm just going to I've got the general shape of them. I still can't see, obviously, but from this point, what I'm going to do. I still can't see anything I'm going to part my bangs in half and I'm just going to click this one. In the other side, you could keep going with the twist cut method, but I feel like I don't have as much control with um how short I'm cutting them and the angle I'm getting in them. That'S just why I'm taking it over and doing it the way I'm going to be doing it now. Take your comb with your bangs. I still have a very much cut off. I'M just going to take this side, my left side to the right, the opposite direction. I'M doing that just so. I can get the angle in it, but this way I just feel I have more control and can see what I'm doing better then, with the twist cut, so I'm just going to cut into them. I know I still have quite a bit shake off and I'm kind of going angling. The end just speed this up, because you guys get the gist of what we're doing just take them in the opposite direction. Kind of keep them close to your face and cut into them. I'M going to go to the other side now, because we're getting closer to the length I'm going to take a little piece from the other side. So I have a bit of a guide to see the length that we have them at. So I'm just going to take these to the other side and do the same thing make sure not to cut your guide because you're taking it in the opposite direction. Now so it's going to be shorter, all right, so I'm pretty much done. Cutting my bangs. Now, I'm going to show you a couple more tricks that you can do to make sure they're even on both sides, so I was taking it over to the other side and cutting it until it was a good length, but also what I did was. I took all of it into the middle and there's a hair - that's not supposed to be there, so I could see it just like this and just cut and made sure they were even on both sides and that they were the same length and then just kind Of take them down and move them around, and I just turned my straightener on just so. I can straighten them and curl them under a little bit, because when you wash and dry and blow-dry them, they do kind of curl under more. So you want to make sure you don't cut them too, too short, unless you want short bangs in which case go, go at it. So I'm just gon na kind of straighten um. They are pretty straight already. I'M really loving um. That was a little too much got a little carried away with the straightening or the curl and under alright. I think this side is a little bit longer. You can kind of see that or my eye is up higher or something, but I'm just going to fix that real, quick and just kind of tweak them as you see fit. You know, bangs are really personalized and you just kind of got to go with what you think needs to be done and it it is hard on yourself. So if you want to do have someone else do this, you know wouldn't be the worst idea in the world, because I will say it's tricky tricky on yourself. You can't just want to make sure both sides are equal, and I could tell this one was longer because I took a little more off this side, so we're just going to fix that real, quick, it's kind of just cross-checking going by how it looks taking little Bits off because a lot of times, it's not a lot of hair that you need to take off it's just kind of the little bitty ends and that's about right. So that is the bangs finished. I'M going to take the rest of my hair down now that we got them all sorted out. I love to wear my hair up and my hair has grown since I cut it in a pixie cut and also a style. That'S really been in recently has been kind of the half top knot. I think that's super cute with some bangs like a little obviously done better than that and with the bangs cooperating, but they're going every direction because my hair was not in bangs yeah. That'S how you cut your bangs. It'S really super easy, just you know taking it over to the opposite side or you can do the twist cut method method, the whole way, which is really easy but yeah. I hope this video helped you guys. If you take a plunge and cut your bangs, you can find me on Instagram or Facebook and you could send me a picture and show me how they turned out. I hope this video helps you guys, and I will see you in my next video bye

Carla Concé: This is probably THE best bang cutting/trimming video I've ever seen... for real... and I've seen a lot... Totally going to try this in a few months when I cut them again. The cleaning up after the twist method just made it go from "alright" to PERFECTION. Looked beautiful

Sannejoo: I JUST cut my bangs using your video! I have had bangs from I was 6-17 years old, but now at 21 I was missing them. And I have to say.. this turned out better than it has ever been before! I always got them cut at a stylist before, so I am amazed! Thank you so much for giving me the courage and guidance! <3

Andia: The best tutorial! I was able to do my side swept bangs like I had in 2012. I had side swept bangs for about 2 years and then I let it grow. After a few years I’ve tried to cut it again and I never got the same look. Now I finally managed to get what i wanted. Thanks!

Helen Hunter Mackenzie: Excellent tutorial! My hair is so baby-fine that it looked WAY different combing and cutting than your beautiful hair, but because of your careful instructions I was able to intuitively understand how to modify things to fit my "toddler" hair. :-) I have been murdering my bangs on and off for 35+ years, and this was the first time I really understood why and how to do things differently. Not to mention, no hairstylist has actually ever trimmed my bangs as well as I did myself tonight, thanks to your tutorial. Thank you from the 2020 pandemic!!!

Beth Carmichael: Literally used your tutorial last night to cut my own fringe and I love them so much! #CoronaCut

Vendela Olsson: This was a great tutorial. Actually turned out pretty good for me, considering it was the first time i've ever cut my hair!

Renee Halm: Probably the best tutorial I've seen on cutting bangs. I've followed lots of directions in the past, but these were the easiest and gave me the best results, without a bunch of anxiety. Thank you!

Angel Mina: I just did this and it looks so fabulous! Thanks Chole! You saved me during quarantine

Melissa Boylan: You have prettiest hair, skin...everything! I love the color of your hair! It's a perfect strawberry red. You are the epitome of natural beauty. Omg! You're probably one of those chicks you want to hate but you can't bc they have an awesome personality too, lol. This tutorial was simple and easy to follow. I have seen the twist technique before but not the part you do at the end to even it out. I literally have borderline retarded spatial skills (like an actual score on an IQ test) so I tense up and stress out. My IQ is actually respectable but geometry is my kryptonite so even thinking about cutting anything close to a straight line produces anxiety which usually makes me mess up. You're instructions are clear and have a relaxed teaching style. Can't wait to search to see if you teach long layers.

Deb Harano: Many thanks for this video!! The twist was always a challenge, but taking half to one side at an angle has made trimming my bangs super easy and fast. Yay!

Roo V: Best video on trimming your own fringe I have seen...easy to follow and straight to the point...thank you so much for posting xx Also, I love your look xxx

Nicole van Gremberghe: well explained, no fluff, and my bangs turned out beautifully. Thanks Cloe!!

Sophia: “If you want someone else to do this” Do you really think I’d trust someone else that much? I’d rather mess it up myself so then I can blame only myself

leanna sanchez: Great video! I like to trim my bangs myself and next time I do I’ll be watching this tutorial, your bangs came out gorgeous !

Feby: its so cute when you say "i love bangs, theyre so cute" hahaha you look like youre admiring your hair! thanks for the tutorial! I'm planning to cut my own bangs tomorrow

Sophia Martinez: It's 2am and I totally followed up up until just above my nose, I saw in places where I started to go wrong, luckily it's long enough to fix and get what I want. Totally my fault but your tutorials and super helpful! Knowing how to part it was probably the hardest.. Keep doing your thing! Also love your hair colour. I have auburn hair so lots of red tones but yours is great! Ramble over.

Lizzie Lewis: Hello! I'm so glad I found you last night! This morning I have managed to cut my hair myself (as I have no money!) & I love it! Thank you so much for your tutorial, I wish I had found you a long time ago as I never thought I could cut my own fringe this well. koriethegiraffe: you have the prettiest hair omg!

Randomly: I chose your video because you're hair is so beautiful and I'm so glad I did!! This is the first time I've ever successfully cut my own bangs! I hope you post videos on how to get such beautiful shiny hair like yours

Idenisse Ventura: Your hair is so beautiful❤️ you look so cute with bangs or side swept bangs. Great job!

Regina Hanson: Great tutorial! You look pretty with bangs. ♡

Rach k: Sadly many many hair stylists don’t know how to cut bangs :(

Hannah Lyons: I'm gunna do it!! Thank you for the smooth tutorial

Frances Tullis: Before you take the plunge I would recommend trying bangs out. Curl your hair, separate a section like she does and then pin it up. Wear it like that for a bit and see how you feel, how to style it, how your face looks, ext. Really seeing and feeling it can be the difference between making a great decision and horrible mistake

Cindy Lam: Really great video! I'll try it after my hair are long enough!! Thx for sharing!

Kathy Powell: They look awesome! You did a great job!

LInk04871: Wow your new bangs look beautiful! Great job :D

Justelle's Life: This is 4 and a half years later during covid-19, I've been watching several of these "cut-your-own" hair/bangs to see if I can do it myself, however, every single one I've watched the hair is thick and straight, my hair is fine with a natural wave, it doesn't lie straight, even when dry, how do you cut hair like mine without looking like buster brown?

Vanessa Soto: I love your videos, thanks! really helpful :)

Ana Valois: Just wanted to say thank you for the tutorial, first time I have decent bangs, I used to just cut them direct and it didn't look half as good as it does now, thank uuu ♥️♥️♥️

limey: You make it look so easy! Please upload more often, I miss your videos

Nicole Sato: I just did this technique but my hair is a lot thinner and they still turned out nice. I did keep them slightly longer. I could probably shorten them a bit more. I'm very happy with the way they turned out. Bear in mind I am used to having bangs regularly.

porcelain: Can't get over how amazing your hair looks, suits you so much!! Do you have layers?

Al D: thanks to you I managed to cut my bangs perfectly!

gellichan09: i love your hairr!! it looks so soft and smooth!

Inna Voloshyna: Thank you so much!!! I'll give it a go

Cristina Gonzalez: Love this video! What kind of cut do you have? So cute!!

Anna CG: wow how do you get your hair so healthy?❤️

C Chandler: Well done. The salons refuse to cut them to a length that is out of my eyes (They'll shrink!!) so I have quit arguing with them and do it when I get home. If they are too short, I just wait a minute.. Good scissors are key here too. I used to go in and pay about $7 + tip for a bangs trim, but I am over it now lol.

Franny P.: Hi! I'm Fran and a hairstylist too. I find this particular fringe trim method nice and different from other twist cut method I've seen in the past however I've seen some discrepancies. I was actually looking for what you've mentioned as "feathery effect" that point cutting while twisted did. I mean honestly I don't find this to have lots of difference when you've first had your fringe cut. And not to mention it's actually much more complicated to twist & point cut the fringe than just doing the one with your old bang cutting video. Or maybe too much point cutting made those "feathery effects" vanished completely. I like this method minus the pointcutting on the twist bang part. I hope that makes sense. Just one question though... Why didn't you just twisted the fringe part then cut it straight across (horizontal) then after than that's where you must have pointcut to make softer ends and wispier looking fringe. This is nice but quite complicated than sectioning hair into 3, cutting it horizontally and after reaching the proper amount of length that's were we pointcut until we get softer ends. Thanks!

Bored_as _fuck: Thank you, your video was the only one I found that made sense and even though I don’t like my weird new fringe it was a great tutorial

Camila: I LOVE this. Thanks a lot!

Natalie Z: Good method. I think cutting upwards helps it looks a lot nicer than if you cut horizontally.

Gowri D: Loved your haircut tutorials really quick and easy to cut own bangs. Probably, you have very good looking silk and shinney hair could you make a video on how to maintain hair like yours, please...

Proxyzenn: probably the best tutorial about cutting bangs in this whole youtube

Mariana Souza de Lima: Amazing!! I love your videos ♥♥♥

Dian May: Thanks for posting this, I've been quite ill recently and unable to get to my hairdresser. I watched this and cut my own fringe. It looks a lot neater and will keep me going until I'm well enough to go again.

Evol Love: Tried and it looks good. Thanks!

ka chan: THANK YOU SO MUCH!! I DID IT AND IT TURNED OUT WELL THIS IS THE BEST VIDEO EVER XX

Farrah's Dolls and Collectibles: Hi there, awesome tutorial!! Your hair length is so cute! What would I ask my stylist for if I wanted that for myself? Is it called a long bob? I really like how it's layered!

Jacqueline Fournier: This was really helpful! thank you. Also I was wondering if you have a specific hair care routine that you follow. If not never mind! haha just curious

TheSweetsourfish: Wow this really helps! I watched your other video and i wasn't confident id be able to do it so i went to a salon, and then they just chopped my hair straight with thick bangs without sectioning it.... i hate it, so I'm waiting for it to grow and maybe try again myself.

Kosako: it's 3am I cut my bangs. just wait 'til my parents wake up

Victoria Mills: This vid was incredibly helpful for me as I cut my hair in the middle of the night
