We'Re just gon na have to get some hair on the floor. I'M so scared, i'm literally terrified. Why? What am i doing? This is not easy. Oh my god. Oh my gosh, i'm gon na throw up. Why is this so hard? So current banks have been blowing up recently, i'm scrolling on my free page and every other thing is like i cut my own curtain banks how to cut your own credit bank rihanna, actually work her in bangs in her savage fenty campaign that just came out. So it's like a big thing. Coming back, it's such a retro style. I think that they're so popular, because it allows you to give yourself a change without drastically changing your hair. I am very nervous. I really don't think that it's the best idea to cut your own hair, especially for someone like me, who's, pretty clumsy, pretty messy, i'm not cutting my own hair. I have natural hair and it's cute. I don't put any heat on it, but sometimes i do want to wear my hair straight. So then i put on wigs but y'all, laying down some edges and having the hair completely flat. When you have a wig it's hard, so i'm going to take a wig and i'm going to do curtain bangs on that wig. So if i ever need the grab and go straight hair, look, i have one that looks more natural because the bangs will cover the edges, i'm going to try them, because i want to challenge myself because i think honestly, i kind of use my hair as like. A security blanket, and i don't really want to do that anymore. So, that's why i'm doing this, even though i'm absolutely terrified i'm gon na watch a little video of spencer cutting her own curtain base. I'M gon na show you how to cut curtain bangs. It looks so good on her you're gon na need to make your hair wet now make sure to part your hair down the center. Oh, my gosh, that's gon na be so much air separate these two sections and pin it back now repeat on this side. Comb them together, don't get scared. I am scared, comb, your hair straight down your face. I'M gon na go evenly at my nose and then cut straight across the first snip is so terrifying, always start long and then go short, always start long and then go short. That is my mantra for the day: fingers parallel to that part of the section. That'S going to create this angle, now repeat, on this side, take down your clips and blend the bangs into the rest of your hair now style. I have full confidence i'll be able to match spencer's tutorial, but if i don't, if i mess this up, i have just ruined a brand new fly wig i just i i my pockets will cry an angle and then you style, okay. I am literally terrified. My hands are like oh, oh they're. Actually i was like making a joke, but they're. Actually, okay, okay, here we go first things. First, i got ta put on the wig, so okay, this is the wig straight out of the pack, and i kind of feel like may, like i feel like. I took may's hair off her head and put it on my. If i need to touch up this wig a little bit and then we can do the curtain bangs, okay, so this is my current setup. I have my supplies, my bag, my spray bottle. My computer will just show me my tutorials and my girlfriend for emotional support. Okay, this coat looks way more. Like me, this is my length, but now it's time to wet my hair so that i can do the tutorial, i'm just going to perfect this middle part. I guess it's time, i'm a little nervous, a lot nervous. Oh my gosh, the anxiety. It can't be that hard right famous last words, if you look here see this is the edges of the wig. This is a glueless wig, which is good for like grab-and-go, which is the point of this wig for me, but you can definitely see like this is not my hair, but how far back am i going to do this? This is too small. This is not going to do anything that could work. Maybe even here, oh this is go. This is half the head. Let'S not do that. Let'S not get crazy. I want it to like come to like where my ears are yeah boom. I'M going to clip like that, and this is going to be what i'm working with on this side. I don't know how thick i want them. I can't do it, i'm freaking out. No, it doesn't look right, something's, not right. Here i am having a breakdown, because i couldn't make it a triangle and i'm scared of change. Okay, i've stopped crying about how scared i am to do it and now i'm going to do it. I might be thinking meh, you're being so dramatic. It'S just hair and that's exactly what i told myself 10 minutes ago and then i started touching my hair, knowing that i'm going to change it, i'm going to do it, i want to do it, i'm going to do it. Just it's going to be like a little bit of a process. Change is good. Being uncomfortable is good. Okay, that's like the same amount right. Oh my god, baby. I need how i need support. Oh my god. Oh my god. A little longer should i do it. I don't know, oh so, let's see i have all the hair and i'm gon na comb it into the middle okay. Sides are set to go evenly at the nose. I think my nose is about here. So i think, oh, let's see oh, this is so hard. I can barely see - oh my god cuddy when you can barely see this feels like i'm playing with fire. But let's go okay. It doesn't look incredibly even but it's okay. That was just the first snip. I can definitely trim it. Okay, i'm just gon na. Do it i'm just gon na, do it? Oh, my god, i did it. I definitely did it kind of bad. Definitely did it at kind of an angle, i'm a little nervous. I feel like. I should stop now. Oh my god. What do i do? I know it's scary. Is it straight? Is my hands? I can't see anything. Should i just do it? It'S long honestly, it's like long right now, yeah, i'm gon na throw up. I'M literally just look dave. Do it finish, i'm gon na throw up you didn't. Oh, my god, no, it's so uneven. How do i fix that babe? I want to scream okay. It'S done we're done guys thanks for watching like and subscribe. When i pull my hair like this, i can actually see it more clearly and we're just gon na have to get some hair on the floor. Okay, we are still at my nose, which is good. It'S funny. I think i accidentally did the angle geez. I have to keep going because this does not look good. Oh my god! Oh my god did i make a mistake. Oh my god, i'm so scared hair grows. Hair grows, hair grows, hair grows come on girlies. You know this is literally so sick, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay! This is the worst thing i've ever done like that parallel! Oh, my goodness! Why was this so hard? It'S really not hard! I'M just kind of freaking out. This should be simple and easy um. Unless, unless you did that, okay, no okay, it worked okay, okay, you know. Sometimes you just kind of get nervous, fingers parallel cut off that part. Okay, oh my god. I really cut my hair short. Oh my god, i'm a little nervous. I can't go back now, though, there's just no point back. I shouldn't have agreed to this. How am i supposed to cut with my left hand? Oh, my god, i didn't really do it right, i'm just really confused on this side. I don't have a good angle for this. This is awful. It'S awful. Should i blow dry them and see what it looks like. I feel sick. I learned this. I did. I did it it's cut now. I need to blow dry it question. Mark. Okay, get me on me, see if i don't have to cry and schedule a hair appointment for tomorrow, one second, that is not how it's supposed to look whoa, this cutting experience. Why why? What is this? How this doesn't look that bad? I think i might need to clean it up a bit. Progress is being made okay, so i'm going to dry the hair fully and curl it and see what this looks like. I'M not hating it totally. I just definitely need to fix them up. I'M just still like a little nervous and i need to style them. This is what it looks like honestly. I just like cried for an hour about it, because i'm really uncomfortable with it, and i don't like it. Let me be honest. I, like it lucky for me, i know somebody who cuts hair, i'm going to do a velvet, safe outdoor haircut and see if it makes me feel better. I also even if it is like the worst haircut in the entire world, which it's not, and even if that was the case. I need to like understand that there is like more to me than how i look more to me than my hair, like that is so surface level anyways. If you need a reminder that you are more than what you look like and you are more than what your hair looks like here, it is take it from me. I still i'm cool and fun and funny and have a lot to offer. Even if i don't like how my hair looks considering, i don't know what the hell i'm doing, i'm actually really impressed with how it came out. So the whole idea i was going for was something that would be easy to grab and go as far as my wigs - and i don't know if this is a grab-and-go hairstyle, but i love this look. It does a completely different look than anything. I rock it's not bad. You can tell that i'm not the best with the curling iron, it's the end of the day and i'm still loving how this looks, but i also wanted to clarify i've cut my hair all the way off twice. I understand like cutting hair can be a really emotional thing. I was just a little bit more chill because this is also a wig. I think that's why i understand. Like hair goes back, you can get a wig okay, so lesson learned. Sometimes you just got ta leave it to the professionals. It looks a lot better. Also, my hair is just a lot shorter now, so i don't feel like crying about it anymore. Change has changed, she's been done. I know i didn't go full bang on these, but i am just so terrified of cutting my hair to the point of no return, and i think it's also important to know your strengths and my strength is not cutting hair, i'm good with the chef's knife and I'M not so great with scissors. Let'S just put it that way. I don't hate it. I think it's actually kind of cute, but i just think i'm probably going to contact my hairdresser and ask him to help me out a little. You

Akuma Tenshi: I have been cutting/ trimming my own bangs for years and next to the "go long" advice is: don't pull your hair when cutting! Because your hair will "retract" once you let go and be shorter than what you see when pulling ... Not to mention , once your hair dries, it'll retract even more ...so another advice is: if you really have to wet your hair when cutting, leave the length about 1/2 inch extra long. I prefer cutting it when dry bc it's true to length and look.

Megan Redress: I think everyone looked good in the end, regardless of weather they followed the tutorial. I thought mei did a great job before her hairdresser fixed it. I have had long hair for almost 10 years so I understand that emotional attachment to hair. Some things should be left to professionals if it doesn’t come naturally to you. I get my hair cut and dyed by a stylist and do my nails myself.

Shay Chaney: I understand the anxiety, I let my dad cut my hair with very dull craft scissors and I didn't have the heart to tell him how bad it actually was. I'm a pretty chill person though so I didn't necessarily panic but it was not an ideal situation. I then proceeded to cut more myself and......well, it got worse and now I have a hair appointment for next week. Which is absolutely what I should have done to start with, cutting your hair can be liberating but also maybe we should leave it to the professionals that have gone to school for this type of thing.
